A lovely place right in the center of Alessandria, with attention to detail and a pub-style feel. A varied menu with an excellent selection of burgers and other dishes, and a good selection of various beers. The service and staff are top-notch, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend it!

A historic venue for those like me in their forties. The new owners have made it an icon of good food (especially the meat) and fine drinking (constantly changing beers and evenings dedicated to whisky tastings!). The venue's location is very central, overlooking the Piazza del Duomo and its bell tower. In the summer, the outdoor seating along the street makes it a top-notch spot!

Sono stata in questo locale diverse volte e mi sono trovata sempre bene. Il cibo è buono e i prezzi sono giusti. Ha una bella scelta di birre, includendone alcune anche piemontesi. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile, infatti una volta abbiamo chiesto un cambio tavolo, dopo che ci era già arrivata la cena, e ci hanno accontentati senza battere ciglio. Il locale non è molto grosso, nei weekend o quando ci sono eventi sportivi importanti alla TV, è consigliato prenotare visto che viene per molto usato per gustarsi una buona birra davanti allo schermo.

I went there two different nights over a period of six months, each after 12 hours of work. Since I was alone, reservations aren't required, but I warn you that it's a very popular place and it can be difficult to find a seat, as it's rightly overrun with groups of young people. There's the option of watching sports on two screens. The first time I went there was for the Sinner vs. Alcartz final: a perfect experience in every way: delicious burger, sublime meat, exquisite beer, a welcoming, warm place, and friendly staff. I spent a bit because I also tried several high-quality whiskies and Scotch, but if I'd just stuck with my burger, fries, and beer, the cost would have been more than reasonable and the price/quality ratio was excellent. The second time, it was still good (Inter Milan derby), but I didn't like the burger as much in terms of quality. Plus, I may have overdone it with the fries (which I think are divinely made here, which is why I gave in to temptation) and I struggled to digest them. The beer is good. The place is accessible on foot or by car. The staff is fast, with quick orders. The bathroom is clean and spacious. Excellent accessibility. I was happy.

My review is perhaps a bit biased by the fact that I tried the cuisine option, which in my opinion isn't its true nature. Perhaps as a burger joint or pub, I would have been more satisfied. The fact is, the Piedmontese-style fried food I was offered wasn't anything special, overcooked and too crunchy, and it comes across as more pub-style than restaurant-style. For the same reason, I found the quality-price ratio far too high. I believe a pub-style beer joint should be a pub, to avoid losing its character and disappointing its customers.

August 2019. It's nice to dine outside in the summer, even though there were a few mosquitoes. Inside, you can watch the game, but it's scorchingly hot. The burgers are decent, though not the easiest to eat due to the height. Service was slow, but to make up for the wait, they offered us dessert. One special feature: the sandwiches and burgers have the football players' surnames on them.

A lovely location in the summer. Outdoor seating, a traffic-free street, a lovely corner of Alessandria. The food is mediocre, as is typical at most pubs. However, if you want to spend less and enjoy a nice, car-free outdoor spot downtown, this is the ideal spot.

The food is not amazing, at least the pasta. The raviolis were normal, the filling was not special. The tiramisu tastes more or less as it should, but it's not the traditional one and it's quite heavy. It does not have enough biscotti and too much panna, and the chocolate is melt. Too expensive in my opinion.

Disgraceful, they had a sewer problem and didn't notify us, they put us at tables right next to the bathroom with a terrible smell, no hint of a solution, we asked for a table change and it was denied, not even an apology when we left. Never again, this is not how you handle inconveniences.
