No busques más para comer en Burgos. Sinceramente espectacular. Pinchos y comida. El lechazo de 10. Y no dejes de probar los cojonudos y cojonudas. La morcilla un espectáculo y los calamares y croquetas también. Genial

5 estrellas sin pensarlo. A todo turista que lea esta reseña le recomiendo que haga una reserve y almuerce / cene en este lugar. La atención es de 10 y la relación calidad precio igual. Por poner algún pero, la tarta de queso sabía mucho a queso pero al final es cuestión de gustos. Todo un acierto. Si vuelvo tengo claro donde ir a comer.

Comida excepcional y personal suuuper amable. Ademas de lo que pedimos en la foto probamos los tigres, que estaban buenísimos y la cojonuda que también estaba muy buena. Recomiendo picar algo aqui sin falta, también tienen reacciones y menú

Fuimos aqui a tapear algo, comer ya no se podía, no habíamos reservado con antelación y estaba a tope. Las tapas buenísimas el trato de los camareros genial, amables , lo recomiendo sin duda

La verdad que estaba todo muy bueno. En especial los champiñones de ajo y bacon, y el Mejillón Trigre ( el mejor que he probado). Los camareros muy amables y atentos. Sin duda volvería.

Great tapas/ pinchos bar in the center of Burgos. Many locals as well as tourists stop here for a tapa de morcilla or seta. You can also reserva a table for proper dinner. Good Price/ quality ratio. Very traditional institution. Must See when in Burgos.

We went early so we could get a seat, but it seems to be a popular restaurant with both tourists and locals, and the seats are likely to fill up quickly. The food is brought to you by the restaurant staff, but you go to the counter to order and line up. All the food is delicious.

Came across this restaurant that at first looked like a bar/tapas place but the restaurant is on the second floor. The restaurant is very small and if you are in a large group (6+), you better make reservations. The food was excellent specially the morcillas. Service at first was tricky but one of the bartenders was extremely accommodating for the 6 of us and gave us a table that was reserved but the people didn’t show up. Our waitress was amazing—giving us recommendations and being very attentive even during the busy dinner time.

There is a standing/bar part of the restaurant and another area with table service. Arrived at around 3:30pm for tapas on a Monday in September and wine and it was very busy. The tapas were amazing and their atmosphere was bustling. Get your Google translate app or your Spanish ready though because they don’t speak English - or just point at the menu, which has English translations. I was at the standing bar area and you’d have to shove your way to a server to take your order and there is no queuing system (ie, like if you ordered a drink at a night club/bar/pub). You would stand there forever if you weren’t assertive enough in waving down a server. The servers were the efficient and direct types which were a bit different from the warmer style of other tapa bars I’ve visited on this Camino trip. I enjoyed the experience but would have felt a bit lost when ordering if I didn’t know that was how tapa bars worked. Overall this place is well worth a visit.

Santiago was very helpful and gave me all the attention needed. Scrambled eggs with morcilla de Burgos were really nice, then lamb chops were simply spectacular with fries which ere were surprisingly tasty, and to finish off el postre del abuelo(fresh cheese with honey pecan) just made my day. All the food is homemade on the spot and you can feel the quality. Thank you and I’ll be coming back! FYI it was too much food for me alone, could’ve finished after the first plate)

Had food and drinks here tonight, the food was excellent, the drinks too , the sheer buzz in this compact little Tapas Bar just fantastic , the staff are so super efficient and in charge of the whole situation whilst thd bar is cram packed is just a pleasure to watch , the place was very clean and permanently kept they way the tables are cleared and cleaned very quickly , the toilets are clean but a bit compact . Defo recommend a visit .

If you're looking for an authentic bar and tapas experience in Burgos you should have Casa Pancho on your short list.  I have no idea why Israelis are writing BS reviews about this place.  This family run business is very professional and they don't seem to be the slightest bit interested in politics.

Hands down best tapas in town! The cojonuda is incredible and one of the best croquetas I've had in all Spain. A must go here in burgos with lots of tradition, great prizes and better service! The restaurant is also amazing with a good "lechazo" (probably it's best to go to an asador for this, but this one is good still!

Our hotel made a reservation for us, we ate in the upstairs restaurant, not the downstairs tapas/bar. Boy were we happy we did! Upstairs dining room, very elegant/sophisticated service, white table cloths, relaxing, and very adult. Waiters were exceptionally friendly, and had enough English to help us along, plus there was a menu in English to use. Started with the shrimp in garlic oil – exceptional – they bring the sizzling oil to your table and the shrimp actually cooking it while you’re waiting. Had to be careful not to use all the bread to sop up all the bits of oil, garlic, and hot peppers. Next, we had the goat cheese salad with beautiful, leafy greens, walnuts, pinenuts, raisins, and plenty of nice rounds of goat cheese. For the main, we shared a turbot/Rodabollo that came with potatoes and surprise – rounds of octopus. Excellent! Finished with a Tia Maria torte that was Flan with raisins and nuts and whipped cream. Dynamite! Started with a glass —a full one —of Cava and the large pour of a local vermouth. Had a nice Rueda white wine with the meal that was only €14. What a great restaurant! Would definitely go back!

Plenty of tapas choices. A classic place where locals go to. Definitely worth the trip. Service is typical of bar. They get busy but courteous when it's your turn. Price is of good value. I ate very well and was full after several small plates. Go alone or in groups, you'll have a decent meal with full of variety. Also had padron peppers... It's a nice veggie to have, mostly not hot.

Era nuestra primera vez en Burgos y fuimos a este sitio por recomendaciones de Internet y de gente de la zona. Fuimos muy ilusionados ya que nos dijeron que tenía la mejor morcilla de Burgos y efectivamente la comida estaba buenísima, en general, todo lo que probamos nos gustó mucho, SIN EMBARGO la atención fue nefasta, nos atendió un camarero mayor al que parecía que molestábamos por pedir comida y bebida en su bar, su actitud dejaba mucho que desear, se le veía desganado y molesto incluso pudimos notar tensión con sus compañeros de barra cosa que nos incomodó muchísimo. En conclusión, la comida un 10/10, el sitio muy acogedor pero el personal y más concretamente ese camarero esperemos que nadie tope con él.

Referente en la gastronomía y en la vida social burgalesa. Personalmente, es mucho más superior la experiencia del “deporte de riesgo” de tapear en el piso de abajo que comer en el salón de la planta de arriba. La morcilla espectacular, los cojos y cojas mejores de Burgos y el equipo que lo lleva son una máquina bien engrasada.

Se come bien, camarero simpático, servicio rápido, aunque las raciones son un poco excasas en especial el revuelto de bacalao. Lo que no nos gustó que nos cobraron 4.80 euros por el pan, sin pedirlo nosotros y sin previo aviso.

Visited recently and had a mixed experience. I ordered the succulent lamb, which was flavorful, but ironically, not very succulent—definitely expected it to be more tender given the name. The morcilla was a standout. Service was just okay—nothing particularly bad, but nothing memorable either. Overall, the food was decent, with a few highlights, but not quite enough to make the experience special.

I give it four stars because of the friendly staff. I didn't like that I got charged for bread where everywhere else is part of what was on the table and I didn't even ask for it really it just was put on my table. The one thing that I was kind of not happy with was the tripe that I ordered it was supposed to been a ration or a meal size and it was just a little bit bigger than a tapa. It was so fatty I had to order lemon to cut the grease. As for the prices they were a little bit on the high-end range for the tapas. Beautiful presentation though.

Expectativas no cumplidas pese a la fama del local! Estuvimos en Casa Pancho el 17 de noviembre y probamos varios platos: solomillo ibérico, carrilleras al Oporto y calamares fritos. En nuestra experiencia, los calamares estaban duros y el solomillo ibérico tenía demasiada grasa, además de quedar algo crudo en algunas zonas. Lo único que encontramos realmente aceptable fueron las carrilleras, que tenían buen sabor y una textura bastante correcta. El personal nos pareció correcto, dentro de lo normal, sin nada especialmente destacable ni para bien ni para mal. Como punto negativo adicional, el precio nos pareció elevado para la calidad general de los platos. Tampoco nos convenció que, aun habiendo mesas vacías, no atendieran sin reserva previa; nos indicaron que estaba todo lleno, pese a que se veían mesas libres. Esta ha sido nuestra experiencia personal y esperamos que pueda ser útil para otros viajeros.

Reasonably priced menu del dia with 3 courses and a wine 20€. Went last week on the recommendation of my hotel. The food suggested by the waiter (menu in Spanish/Basque) was not bad but also not outstanding. Bean stew and stewed pork with minimal else but brown sauce. Ended up with bad guts the next day. Could be the menu del dia is the leftovers from the day before, dunno.
