This place is absolutely amazing the atmosphere inside the old music playing not too loud not too soft. Just a great environment all the way around. The ribs were the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life juicy just the right amount of smoke with a little bit of sweet to them. To be completely honest, I would come back just to have the potato salad again. It is so good. You will not be disappointed.
🤤Scrumptious! The seasoning on the ribs 😋 FLAVOR. Not a typical rub and MEATY! The chopped brisket was moist and taste the way meat is supposed to with out being soaked in sauce and sugar. Did not try the coleslaw 😉 as it does have sugar. They also offer salads. Fresh unsweetened tea! I ask a lot of questions and the staff at the front was patient, professionally polite and friendly. The location was clean and welcoming 🤗 Will be stopping in every time I travel thru Conway!
Whole Hog catered my wedding this past weekend and I truly cannot say enough good things! Parker was amazing, communication was clear, and quality was fantastic! I wish i could give a higher number of stars.
We got two Pulled Pork dinners at the Food Truck/Food Trailer which has been at the NorthWest corner of Tyler and Country Club. Good stuff. Quick service. Really hot fried okra.
While it isn't the best bbq in the state it is consistent and delicious. I highly encourage you to check this place out. Try the ribs and potatoe salad... so damn good. Their number 2 bbq sauce is amazing.
Whole Hog Cafe catered the rehearsal dinner for our son at a local venue in Conway. The food was great! Plenty for everyone! We paid for a server to deliver, set up and serve. He handled the set up, serving and clean up. It was a huge blessing for us to be able to focus on the evening! I highly recommend them!
I seem to have made the mistake of ordering food at peak catering hours. However, my food was prepared promptly and it is very delicious. I happened to be there when Ken, the owner, was training someone on the register. He treated her very well. After he finished what he was doing he asked me if everything was all right because my order was taking a little bit longer than expected. He was very concerned with making sure I not only got prompt service but good service as well. It seems like there is a culture where both the patrons and the employees are respected by one another. I would definitely recommend stopping here for a meal. Come in, take a seat, and enjoy. I got the whole hog platter so I could try a little bit of multiple things. Next time I go, I definitely plan to try their nachos or their fries. Really looks delicious!
Stopped here on a motorcycle ramble. It was a good choice. They have 2 registers to take your order which makes it move along well. The dining area was very clean and plenty of room even for large parties. Food was ready quick. I had the 1/2 smoked chicken with okra and slaw. Everything was perfect!
We have lived in Northwest Arkansas for about 6 years now and have been meaning to try Whole Hog Cafe and just hadn't had the chance. We were on our way home from Florida this week and wanted to stop and eat lunch since we were almost home. We intentionally sought out a barbecue place and this one came up in Conway. We stopped to eat and we are SO glad we did. The BBQ was amazing - the pulled pork, the ribs, the chicken, Jalapeño sausage and the burnt ends... YUM! It was all very tasty and the sides were pretty delicious too - the macaroni & cheese, the fried okra, the Coleslaw, everything was really good! And the sauces to choose from, so many choices!!! And all of them were so good, we ended up buying 2 bottles on our way out! They were only $6.99 each so we couldn't pass it up, we bought the Mustard sauce and the spicy sauce mmmmm!! The portions of food were very nice too - super reasonable for the prices paid really! We got a couple of the 2 meat combos so we could try a few different things and we had plenty of food and leftovers to take home! The service was really great, everyone was very friendly and it doesn't seem like a chain! I'd assume the other locations are like this too, very welcoming and friendly and just there to give a good experience! We can't wait to go back now that we live close to one up in Rogers, we are excited to try it again!
Laid back place. Great pulled pork. Liked the spicy sauce. The other sauces were tasty too.
Award winning bbq. Multiple sauce choices on the table, and pickled/jalapenos sides to take. The pulled pork was mouth watering, the brisket was ok - more like a pot roast. Jalapeño sausage was tangy and not too hot. Good place to grab a quick bite to eat, but I believe they must serve different dishes for the award events.
Counter order & pickup, self serve beverages. Shareable combo plate good value; pulled pork, chopped chicken, sliced brisket and 4 baby back ribs with 3 sides. Ribs a bit dry but delicious rub. Chicken and pulled pork great smoke flavor. Brisket sliced with grain so it was stringy but good flavor. Sides were delicious (fried okra, potato salad, sweet baked beans). Like the ambiance with plentiful seating (large room for very large parties), good jazz and lots of trophies to prove how good it really is. Great sauce selection too.
Pretty good bbq! The okra was the best restaurant okra I think I’ve ever had, the beans were just okay to me. The ribs were meaty, smoky, and tasty. The sliced brisket was subpar in my opinion, any time I get thinly sliced brisket I feel a shortcut has been taken. It had okay flavor but was dry, gray, and below average compared to what other restaurants are serving for brisket these days. I’d eat here again but skip the brisket.
9/19/25 update: Came by around 4:45 on a Friday. Almost empty and nobody in line. Trainee on register was left on her own mid-order by the person helping her. Took 25 minutes to receive order. 3 Minute drive home but Okra was luke warm and mac cheese was slightly warmer. Just on first half of the store I counted 15 flies (some dead, some alive) on the window sill next to the tables. Crumpled napkins scattered around the sticky floor. Budget sub hung on wall near ceiling aka bad acoustics. Soundbar crooked under TV. Lack of attention to detail? No hidden charges for card processing (aka no passing on cost of doing business to customers in a dishonest way rather than having accurate product prices). Nice to see utensils included and sauce containers marked with the number of the sauce. Sauce 3 not spicy; just regular tangy BBQ. Sauce 5 decent sweetish sauce. Roll had nice consistency and seemed fresh. I understand why people say the mac seems store bought. It's barely competing with most fast food mac cheese (only Chick-Fil-A seems to have good mac). Added ground black pepper and Tabasco to mac to give it a push. Needs more flavor and/or cheese. Much more meat than I expected, though I may not have ever ordered ribs in my life and I just expected less meat. Ribs were tender and delicious and not much fat/gristle. Some crispy/textured parts of sauce or meat on it -- very good. Star of the plate for sure. Banana pudding was good, though I don't have a frame of reference to compare to. I provided a better pic of the menu since the other pics sucked. Updated review from 1/5 to 3/5, service from 1/5 to 3/5. Food from unrated to 3/5. Atmosphere from unrated to 2/5. Original 2024 review which shows when logged in but is mysteriously missing from public view: Doing delivery job as a side hustle and the instructions provided by the business are to go to red buckets and call the number on the sign. It says "do not enter the store". The red buckets are behind the store, tucked against a fence, all in 1 spot. I called and explained the situation and was told to come in, by some lazy sounding girl slurring her words. It sounded like she was asleep or something. When I got inside, it turns out she's wide awake but she's just lazy and useless. I'm standing here waiting and she ignores me and helps other people. Eventually I'm able to come up closer to the counter so she can't avoid helping me and she just says "yes?". I explain I'm there for a pickup of an order and gave the name of the person who ordered. She says NOTHING to me, then calls out an order number on the microphone. Then a little kid walks up and she says "yes?" to her. The little kid asks for a to-go cup and the employee immediately gives her the cup. She still has not responded to me AT ALL. She instead just turns around and walks away. Useless. I waited until another employee was available to speak since this one clearly isn't willing to do her job. I explained the situation to the next employee, and she turned around and the order was right there on the shelf (it's been there the whole time). This employee packed it into a bag and was great to interact with. However, by this point the entire experience was overshadowing the nice employee. The nice employee was a short one. I don't remember much about her. The useless one was a medium/tall blonde.
I tried the pulled pork, ribs and sliced brisket. It was above average but definitely not “World Championship BBQ” as the sign claims. They do offer meat by the pound, so Carnivore eaters will be happy. I don’t eat sides but those with me said the sides were small. They were also out of smoked chicken, which was one of the items I came to try. I used a Carolina style sauce on the pulled pork and it was perfect.
It had been a while since my last visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, I was surprised—but not in a good way—by the changes in service and quality. First, the complimentary pickles, which used to be a nice touch, are now being charged for. Second, the portion sizes of the two-meat plates have noticeably decreased—what was once a hearty serving now feels quite skimpy. Lastly, the coleslaw, which was previously fresh and crisp, was stale and unappetizing during this visit. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. The decline in value and quality makes me hesitant to return in the future.
Worst service i have received in a while. Placed order at counter. Forty minutes later, still only had half my order and most of it was wrong. Never got half of what I paid for. Watched 5 or 6 couples come in and never received service and finally walked out. It was a shame to not get half my order that I paid for and no sauce for what I did order.
The meat is not very good, the sides taste like they come out of a can or are pre made, same for the buns they use. I am ninety percent sure they buy the meat at Sams Club or somewhere and re heat it. If you want real barbecue Wrights Barbecue in Little Rock is excellent and they home make everything for the same price.
