Happy New Years to all who may read this exceptional google review ,i am resident of Thee Costa Mesa Community for 35+ years and this McDonalds' restaurant is only one of several that you get served without the attitudes ,huge thanks to Ms. Marriam ,and Tristin and Ms. Maria C . and the support help ,thank you Mr. Mesial and Mr. Allan and of course Mr. Kyle genuine eagerness to wait on us Loyal McDonalds' Customers ,at this Costa Mesa Location. restaurant is always clean and hand sanitizer have the lotion full, like some other places the containers are empty,(not Good),anyway these past several years have and are satisfyingly experience for me and probably others ,who do not share and compliment these outstanding Team Players of McDonalds' Franchises ,so Happy, Happy New Years to the entire Costa Mesa California McDonalds' Restaurants ,regional Managers who train these exceptional employees , enough said !!!!! I don't know what it is, maybe great management but, the one on harbor and Wilson, by Home Depot, has the better tasting burgers than most of them . I like how they stay open later than all the rest of the ones. I have never been disappointed at this MacDonalds off Harbor st.

The night crew is stellar! I’m always skeptic going to McDonalds after lobby hours are closed cause it’s a hit or miss with stale fries, messy soda, and incorrect orders; but, not this location. Ive been here several nights in a row so far and several words come to mind: consistent, efficient, freshly made food, accuracy. Date of visit: 05/20/2023 Time of visit: 9:56PM PDT Drive-thru My order: Big Mac Combo Nuggets Fish Filet Sandwich The food always taste freshly made, fries always fresh, my entire order is always accurate down to the sauces; typically should be, but it’s such a pleasant surprise when fast food workers really pay attention to detail. Will definitely be my go-to for McDonalds Food.

Very impressed with this McDonald's response to covid-19 restrictions; ordering from a distance, adding sauces to the order, getting my special order correct, and the general friendliness of the employees even when I got to close to the cash register. I will definitely be back and I can recommend this place!

My son and I were there last week and we had the best customer service our cashier who took our order was very nice and friendly. The only thing I have to say is the Security guard there wasn't very friendly . I was using the restroom and he rushed me out before I was done and the restroom needed to be cleaned but my son and I had a pleasure eating there.

I usually come to McDonald's 4 or 5 maybe more times a week. Who is always really good. I seriously love the service at this restaurant much more than all of the other McDonald's have gone to. Because they are the fastest and the food seems to taste better in the setting. It's kind of hard for me to ever give McDonald's anything less than a five star review because they're always my number one go-to spot for fast food. I stopped at this particular location quite a bit because it's close to home so it's always where I go right when I get off work

I noticed they recently started hiring new employees. The fries have improved significantly, wish I could give a shout out to the chef but I don't know who makes it, and the service is a lot better. I visit pretty frequently (that mcdonald's app always has me stopping by, it's turning me into an Angel's fan) & overall the place has improved a lot. I remember the fries used to be swishy and undercooked, pretty damn disgusting. However things are much better now, even the service is great. Jesus is always running station to station with that real sense of urgency, while also giving quality service. Keep up the good work guys, you're all appreciated.

I work graves and I just pulled out of the drive thru. The ladies had smiles and were glad to be of service. Always a welcome sight when you're stuck driving around in the middle of the night. I will definatly be back. Keep up the good work.

First time at this location. I walked in to a very clean restaurant with self order stations. I order my breakfast with an OJ to drink and it turns out that they are out of OJ. Alma, Shift Manager, came to my table and broke the bad news but was quick to offer me a comparable replacement, I went with a coffee. When she returned with my coffee she also brought me an apple pie for my "troubles". I was grateful but didn't want a pie, she then allowed me to exchange the pie for chocolate chip cookies!!!! Talk about recovering from an issue!! I'd like to thank the McDonald's crew, especially Alma, for making my breakfast experience a memorable one.

I ordered a fish filet which I have not ordered in years, and I was surprised when I opened the box: the bun was soft on top and grilled on the inside with i dont know I want to say butter or something yummy and the fish was perfectly crunchy! This was the best fish filet i have had and I love mcdonalds so I had to order a classic cheeseburger and a large fry to go w my fish filet. I wish they would bring back super size, stupid documentary!

Today, the manager at this place behaved absolutely terribly. Not only does she not speak English, but she also tried to convince me that I owe someone something. I am a customer. And after I paid for the order, it seems to me that I don’t owe anyone anything — I am supposed to be provided with the service. I like all the employees at this place, but the manager behaved absolutely horribly today.

McDonald's you got to stop highering your prices so much you're at The Fringe of being the same price was buying a dinner from Denny's Spires restaurants of that type I know there's a convenience I was driving in and driving out but if the prices go much higher is best to just go to the restaurant call in the order and pick it up not saying I don't love McDonald's I do but there's a time when you have to choose glad you changed the deals on your app attaching fries to everything was not good it's much better now I'm always checking out the deals with my McDonald's app

The service itself was very well much better than my experiences from the same place when a manager or supervisor working there handed me back a frappuccino that i had asked if she could exchange for a latte and after telling her that i had gotten it somewhere else she immediately toled me that sorry she couldn't change it coming from a different location since each one is independently owned after telling me this ,i saw her with my own eyes how she literally took out from the trash can that they have next to the drive through window the frappuccino she herself had thrown away a minute b4 and said "no sorry i cant change it for u change it where it came from " omg. Thank god i haven't seen that lady there anymore lately. Other than that this place now is great in drive through but the playground does need some upkeeping its gross at most times that ive gone and majority its at slow shifts ive even had to clean my own table b4 starting to eat after getting the point that noone would clean any of the tables or area.

Went here for an early morning breakfast. It was good and they were quick. Sausage McMuffin and egg prepared nicely, crispy hash brown and a good fresh brewed un sweet ice tea. The workers were efficient and good. Best McDonald's I've been to in a long time. They franchise by where I live have forgotten what fast food means.

Staff was friendly. Food was hot and they even brought it out to us at our table in the play area. I like the fact that we can order from the kiosk or from the counter. It allows me to customize my food items without bothering a person or taking the risk of them getting it wrong. This location is always fact that's the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is there's only two high chairs for the entire play area.

Typical McDonald's. Drive thru was fast. My only complaint is that there were no prices on the breakfast menu. I don't know if it's just this location but I want to know how much I'm spending before I place my order.

This McDonald's is Staff with very nice employees. Unfortunately their scanner does not scan some of the codes for the offers that McDonald's sends by email. And I don't know if this is just an odd occurrence, but in the last week they've been out of lemonade on the soda machine but there is no sign to let us know. So I make my ice tea thinking I'm adding lemonade and only water comes out (it's on the same dispenser as water, but you're supposed to press the button for water). This has been happening for a week and there is still no sign to warn you of it.

Its always clean no matter what time i go in. The food is not pre-made or dryed out. You can always ask for it off the broiler like i do to make sure its fresh. It takes a little longer wait but its worth it.

I work graveyard at a hospital and I just wanted to eat fast I ordered from this location Harbor and Wilson in Costa Mesa and it’s not The first time they mess up my order this location seems to always either give me an incomplete order or give me an order made wrong. This location by far has been the worst in making my orders. I’m sure I’m not the first one. The only good thing about this store is Vanessa. I think she’s the manager. She was very kind and very polite. Even after I unleashed my frustrations on her she was calm. She was able to calm me down and talk to me. She made me feel like she really understood where I was coming from. I really appreciate that about her. They need to give her a better staff or move her to a store.Where she can have a better staff. Vanessa you’re the only thing positive about his location I hope they give you a raise.

We ordered went up to pay and a man who was not in uniform was very rude when repeating the order back which was a soda with no ice. He grabbed our card and we said thank you he stared and closed the window. His whole demeanor was full of attitude. But maybe he had a bad day it happens but don't take it out on customers.

Well Unfortunately there is a lot of Homeless around (which I am one, But Not All of us are the same!), and because of this, they have a Security Man present. We have talked a few time's, and he is very nice, courteous, and proficient at his job. But, as for the Staff at McDonald's: well let's just say that they could learn a thing or two from the Security Guy!

Here’s what I don’t get about this McDonald’s location: - If I go inside and order, any special requests will likely get messed up. - If I use the drive through, ordering regular items will sometimes get messed up and the speed of service ranges from decent to unacceptable. - But if I use them for Uber Eats, everything is made flawlessly and perfectly packaged. Love the whole place except the set up. It's hard to get in and out of the front door and the play place. Love the play area but the door is right next to the front door and it's a very tiny place to walk. Wish the doors had more space to walk through.

This location is ok... It's pretty much on par for the course as McDonald's go. I would have given it another star but on more than one occasion I have observed a few of the cashiers being kind of rude towards some of the other customers. Nothing outrageous, but I wouldn't have been happy if they'd spoken to me in that manner.

About 2 weeks ago I came to this location at 3am only for the drive thru person tell me that they are only taking cash. I didn’t bring cash with me that day. I went back a few days later but it was a female working and I had no issues with her. I went back today June 1, 2024 at 3am. And it was the same guy saying they are only taking cash. So I called him out on it. I also did not get my receipt. This place is very sketchy. I would stay clear late nights at this location.

McDonald in the Harbor Center I’m pretty unhappy being guided to an electronic order entry center to place an order. Food was just okay Atmosphere ok. Tables and floors left dirty for the entire time I was there. Good parking. Handicap parking , handicap entry.

Giving this McDonald’s location off of harbor and Wilson a 3/5. I take my kids here after swim class to have an unhealthy treat once in awhile and run around in their play area (sometimes it’s okay / sometimes it can smell like a soiled diaper) hit or miss. If I pay 25$ for food I expect more then 4 ketchup packets without having to pay extra. Not to mention the way that the workers look at you when you ask for more, I felt like like an inconvenience. If you’re not going to give out the sauce why buy the sauce to begin with.

A few days visiting here I did have a great experience polite kind and helpful employees. However, explain I would be right back after ordering a cup of coffee. I am unable to stand still for more than 30 seconds; otherwise, I'm on the ground. I needed to grab a table and set my items down along with my service animal when I came back I did not have a cup of coffee waiting for me to pay for and had to wait in line again, so I slowly walked away. The employee completely ignore me. Once I was able to get another employee (Angelica) to help me. She is very professional and polite and deserve step up in position- great example for management material. Would be a great example, representation to McDonalds. I have high IQ, four degrees, speak 13 different languages, worked for the government, carried a top secret clearance. I know talent and management Material when I see it.

Frustrated with electronic ordering inside of store. Website unable to log me in, order, pay or anything else. It sighted "technical difficulty " several times. Points were not found. I was so frustrated, I almost gave up. I went into the store. Gave up on ordering electronic board. Stood at the counter for several minutes. I was ignored. Once a customer went to the counter. I got in line behind him. After the woman took his order, she ignored me and left the area as if I didn't exist. I am a 77 year old White women with Blond hair. Prejudiced ? I sat down once again. I decided to give it one more try. This time a different person saw me and came over to take my order. This entire process took 45 to 60 minutes. Poor management and terrible customer service . I've been going to this store for over 12 years. I would like to file an official COMPLAINT ASAP.

I used the APP to use one of the deals they offered. The one at the register said I can't use it bc it didn't meet the requirements. I showed him that it was way over the required price. Afterward, he said I couldn't use it there. When I got my order, they were short on one of my items. When I told them, they acted like I was lying. I can see The chicken sandwich was left at the warmer.

I can't tell you how many times I've ordered a deluxe breakfast or hotcakes and sausage breakfast and ask that they substitute egg and sausage for more bacon to get 1 slice of bacon. Seriously I go sometimes everyday to be chipped out of food come on? I'm paying $12 to 15$ in breakfast w ice coffee sometimes. The morning manager today was rude she acts like she doesn't understand what your saying then sighs w attitude.

Worst McDonald's experience ever. Bought 2 grapes with 2 shots and after getting the wrong order they gave me cups that were not even full. I asked them if they could fill it to the top and they just lied to me and said that they put it in a bigger cup even though I ordered large and paid full price. Very dishonest and and fraudulent. They could have just fixed it real quick but instead decided to make it seem like my fault. I will never return to this location again.

absolutely bad service all around and they don't take accountability for their actions. did food pickup for a 2 quarter pounder meals of which the first one was with no onions no bun wrapped in lettuce. needless to say they messed that up we went thru the drive thru to get it fixed... they make us wait and guess what its NOT FIXED... so we go back again. finally fixed but by this time my fries are cold and I am annoyed... they don't even offer to replace my fries and when I call them on it they give me a small order of greasy soggy fries ... lost my appetite and am disappointed

The play place opens way 2 late. You can't go there for breakfast with you kids and let them play. Just go to the Chicke-Fil-A there play place opens early there staff is nice.

This McDonald’s is usually good, but last night it was so bad:( the dude in the drive thru was so rude, and I think he might have been high. I ordered a Quarter Pounder, and I received Quarter Pounder buns,and the bacon but the patty was litterally a regular cheeseburger patty which was way tooo overcooked I worked at McDonald’s when I was 18, so I know for a fact the quarter pounder patty’s are supposed to be bigger. I’m just very disappointed on the quality and customer service especially if someone is paying close to 10 bucks for a burger. McDonald’s used to be so much better, it created my childhood, and it really is so sad how poor quality it is now. No love, or care, in their food or service. They honestly shouldn’t get paid as much as they do.

Watch the people at the drive thru. They will over charge you if you're not careful. Dude told me my card didn't cover it and tried to charge me an additional $5; really dude. When I use the app and was charged as soon as provided my code to the dude at the window already. Stay alert they will try to steal your money.

Every time I go here at night the staff is so rude. They get frustrated at you if they didn’t hear you right. I try to be nice every time I go there because I know how it is working fast food since I did myself butttttt it seems no matter how polite I am they give attitude. Then they get orders wrong all the time. I even asked for a lot of ranch and I ended up with one packet and then one bbq when I didn’t ask for bbq :/ the girl with the long blond braided hair is really rude too. I still go there just because I always want to give them another chance but tonight was the last time. Just go to another one.

Ordered a combo with two burgers, one with just cheese the other with just cheese and ketchup as requested by my 6 year old. When order was given, they didn't give me the drink and the second burger had everything on it. When I asked for the correction, the burger was taken by the staff but a replacement burger was not provided. I waited nearly ten minutes for this to be remade before giving up and leaving despite there being multiple people on staff. Easy fix, shouldn't have been difficult to replace.

Save a ride to a emergency room this place cause a stomachache. Wow a awful night!! Not apologize for a mistake and a cold meal is enough for me to continue eating salads instead of not healthy food. The manager lady a (bleached women) have always a nasty aptitude.

Worst customer service. They had a promo for a shamrock shake that was BUY ONE AND GET ONE FREE. We wanted to buy 2 to get 2 free, but we didn’t end up getting them. They even charged me for 2 but I didn’t get the other 2 free. We kept trying to explain it to them but they didn’t understand, so my brother got annoyed and we just left. Also we told the guy that we wanted 40 pieces of chicken nuggets but we only got 20. Thankfully we were only charged for the 20 not 40. Button line is that they weren’t helpful or friendly. Not coming back here again.

I ordered a plain bacon quarter pounder with no ketchup and no bbq sauce when my son bit the burger he found that some care less employee pit bbq sauce and ketchup on his burger and he is a picky eater so he did not eat I hope whoever was the one who made that burger is going to get fired

The female crew member wearing the corral pink sweater has an attitude problem as well as lack of professionalism. We went through the drive through on 1/1/20 at 3:24 AM, and from the moment she charged us to when we received our order, the girl was very rude. We asked for ranch and BBQ with our order, which I understand she has to charge for, but the way she went about it was ridiculous. I also asked for ketchup, to which she mumbled a reply. I asked her if she was going to charge for ketchup, since I couldn't understand her comment, and she responded with, "Do you want me to?" That was an unnecessary comment. I told her we did not need her attitude in a calm manner, and she got really upset and kept saying we were giving her attitude. When I checked my order before driving off, the whole bag was a mess. She had stuffed our whole order in one bag. I was missing a cheeseburger which although a small item, it is still something I paid for. I told her about the problem and she requested to see the bag. No problem, I handed it over and she forcefully grabbed it. I asked her to please separate the fries from the food while she went to the kitchen area to get the missing cheeseburger. She ended up tossing the fries in a B bag and making a mess of them. And when she handed the rest of the food, she was still giving us attitude. I asked for her name and she refused to give it, to which I responded she was supposed to be wearing a name tag and she said she refused to give her name. The whole experience was ridiculous. The female crew member made it unnecessarily difficult for herself to perform her job in a courteous and professional manner. I understand the night shift has its difficulties, but she shouldn't take her frustration out on paying customers. There are plenty of other restaurants who will be glad to take my money and provide a better experience than what happened tonight. Not a very good way to start the year off. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service I received tonight. After everything was said and done, my food was cold and disgusting, a total waste of money.

However, my experience was quite disappointing. It's astonishing that in the 21st century, a person who doesn't have a car cannot place an order through the drive-thru. It's outrageous that in one of the wealthiest states in the United States, California, this basic service is inaccessible to those without a vehicle. I find it hard to understand how, in such a developed and prosperous state, something as simple as ordering food should be limited by whether or not you have a car. This policy needs to be reconsidered, especially in a state known for its inclusivity and innovation.

Charged me for extra caramel when they literally put the normal amount of caramel that’s usually put on a frappe. Even the consistency is off. It was the manager who made the drink smh

This could be the worst mcdonalds in the system. Place is always filthy. Sticky floors and dirty tables. No wonder anyone sits in there. I have resorted to drive through past few times despite having kids that are play place age. Literally the last three times my order has been screwed up somehow. Missing item, then wrong size fries that were so old and gross. And now another missing item. They making more money than some teachers. They should pay more attention. Was one thing when you were paying under 10 bucks to feed a couple but now with 50 bucks for a family of four? They should be more on point. Why I gotta be checking you out all the time? Embarrassed to have to act like that. Just do your jobs and serve what I order.

Worst of all, the staff plays kindergarten instead of dealing with customer service. The food looks like it was pulled out of the dog's throat and tastes even worse. I realize that this is only fast food and only McDonald's, but I require at least the minimum correct approach and in this place there is no hope for it. They either pretend not to hear you or they actually hired deaf people 🤦‍♀️ If it was the first time... but not EVERY TIME... they will forget to give my order, give the wrong order, I'm not paying extra for custom just to not receive it 🤦‍♀️ Orders only a handful and they just get lost, I understand that they want the times to be quick, that's why they click on the orders on the screen, but you also need to have the ability to remember about it 🫣 I worked at Macdonalds so I know these procedures and my hands are shaking when I see what they are doing, there was no situation that everything went smoothly and without any problems, I would rather drive 5 miles further than to this one!

I was going through DR way...they denied to service my purchase. Because I was into a car. ...I feel discrimination for my and my bike.... pleased do something about it... every one should have access to buy ....longest you have money they should sale....I will never get back to this restaurant in my life. Dark long hair found inside my McFlurry. Disgusted. Drove all the back and asked for a refund. No one really seem to care. Not waiting days for an appropriate response either. Disappointed. End of story.

Horrible customer service! Let me start off by saying that I am a frequent/loyal customer of this location. I have an autistic 4yr old that is a very picky eater and all he eats is the McDonald’s nuggets, so I go to this location at least twice a day every day and up until now I have not had a bad experience. I also always use the McDonald’s app to order. My whole experience with this store has changed as of tonight. I placed my order as per usual thru the app and when I showed up to pick up my order there is a truck in the drive thru loading or cleaning I’m not sure exactly. I waited 5min and they clearly were not moving so I parked and walked over to the drive thru window with phone in hand to show my mobile order and was greeted by a rude lady waving her hand for me to go away. I showed her my phone and told her I placed an order but that someone was blocking the drive thru but she did not give a damn she then comes to window to tell me they are closed and ran out of food and to contact the app for a refund because she can’t help me. Clearly management needs to better train their employees because if she knew better she would know that the ones that need to issue me the refund is the store. Needless to say to say they lost a customer I will no longer be ordering from them and will be at that particular branch to demand my refund.

This McDonalds closes its lobby during hours when it’s supposed to be open in order to host a private party. What is this, the VFW or Elks club or something? Also, the security guard was rude and unprofessional. I will stop going to this McDonalds location.

I just had one of the most absurd experiences of my life while picking up an order from a restaurant through the drive-thru. I got in line like any normal person would, waited my turn patiently, and when I finally reached the window, expecting to receive the food, I was met with something completely ridiculous. The employee casually informed me that the order wasn’t ready and that I would need to leave the drive-thru, circle around, and get back in line again. Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the sheer lunacy of this. Instead of just asking me to pull into a designated waiting spot (which, by the way, is a perfectly reasonable and commonly used solution), they expected me to exit and re-enter the drive-thru line—as if I had nothing better to do with my life than to drive in circles like some kind of lost soul trapped in an endless loop of fast-food purgatory. But wait, it gets better. When I followed their bizarre instructions and got back in line, I suddenly found myself behind eight other cars. Yes, EIGHT. At this point, I was questioning everything—my patience, my career choices, and even the very fabric of reality. Because tell me, how is it that a company that proudly claims to have made a billion hamburgers over the years still cannot manage to hand over two simple burgers and a drink in a timely manner? Is there some kind of complex alchemy involved in assembling these items? Are they harvesting the potatoes for the fries in real-time? Milking a cow out back for the cheese? What exactly is happening in that kitchen? Needless to say, this was a complete waste of my time. And as a DoorDash driver, time is money. If this is how this restaurant operates, then I’m strongly considering rejecting any future orders from this location altogether. So, to all my fellow drivers out there: consider this a warning. If you get a pickup request from 2300 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, just know that you might end up in an endless loop of inefficiency and frustration. Proceed at your own risk.!!!!!!!!!!
