When I was a kid I swore that my first job would be at this Dairy queen. It wasn't, but a kid can dream. I liked this place growing up, and I miss having one so close by. The building holds a lot of fond memories for me. And the food is good.

My Banana Split was delicious! The drive thru wait wasn't very long at all. If we're back in the area again and want dessert we'll go back for sure!

The place was great! Ordered some dipped cones for the family and some fries to for a little Friday night snack. Everyone enjoyed their food. One cone was like the leaning tower of Piza but they got it done with no problem. Quick service and employees were nice with good attitudes. Definitely will be back if I ever get around that way.

The team tonight was amazing. They let me sit and order slowly because my tiny humans would not make up their minds on the three choices of kids meal they provide. I know the crew had to be laughing at the way I was trying to get my kids to order. It was really nice knowing that they didn't judge my parenting style when I threatened to eat their ice cream myself if they didn't hurry up and order. Lol thank you for not judging me to hard or at least to my face.

Stopped here on the way through town for blizzards tonight. The outside and the main seating area just look like a regular older-type Dairy Queen, but the service was very good, and so was the food. A nice young guy took our order, brought our blizzards very quickly, and wished us a safe trip back to Portland. The bathrooms were brand-new with all modern equipment and were exceptionally clean. I would come here again.

We had come from a simple day at the coast and we had decided to stop at the Dallas Dairy Queen. Two banana splits made absolutely perfect. They looked yummy and proved to be exactly that, yummy! Our grandson had a equally tasty drink. The service was above and beyond. So polite, full of smiles! We ordered a chicken sandwich and the strawberry milkshake for my disabled brother. They kept the sandwich on the warmer until time to pick it up and made the strawberry milkshake at the last minute so it would make it the 10 mi home without being all melted. I was very impressed by the service last night when my boyfriend and I went for a late night fry run. I jokingly asked our server to arrange the fries in the shape of a star, and do you know what happened? They were served to me in the shape of a STAR! This employee went above and beyond just to make my night, even if my request was a joke. Thanks Dairy Queen for the great service. And the food is always yummy .

Meal deal 11-4, not all day, 7$ not 8 though so that's a plus. Chicken strips and fries better than other locations still a DQ though so like both are like 3.9/5, Sunday given enough syrup to get all the way to the bottom, that was nice. Walk in Service was neither fast or slow, took a bit to order but food came out quick Restaurant was clean

Bought ice cream for a couple friends and I. Ice cream is always good there normally but in the evenings they don't over fill the blizzards or turn them upside down

Went thru drive thru, service was fast but the food didn't seem to be very warm.

I've had a lot of DQ over the years from Stayton, Salem, Albany, various other distant towns, and they were all pretty lame compared to Dallas. There was barely any wait and the food was made like the staff cared about doing a good job. The soda could have been better, but it was still better than average, especially from a DQ. Keep up the good work!

I've been here many times. Their burgers and fries are never very good (like all DQ's), though my wife likes them, but their deluxe sandwich line is really something special to brag about. Their soft serve ice cream is up to snuff with other DQ's, and of course, that's what DQ is all about. Don't even bother with the the burgers and fries. That's chicken feed--instead, soar with the Eagles. Trust me. Invest in one of their top of the line sandwiches (they are awesome), and a Blizzard or Orange Julius. You'll be glad you did. You'll have an awesome lunch.

Dairy Queen shows so much care for there customers by being safe and kind during this crazy time with Covid 19. I recommend the six dollar meal upgraded the other ice cream cone for a blizzard.

Typical DQ treats: a hot fudge sundae an a blizzard. Nothing spectacular, but yummy nonetheless. No complaints. Service was fine.

Average, but better than average customer service. Only complaint is that the AC doesn't work too well. Maybe if they had blinds for the lobby it'd be cooler.

Didn't give it 5 stars due to person 3 cars in front of us ordered $70 worth of food...us and the person in front of us ordered ice cream...instead of making the large order pull out of drive thru and wait, they made all 8 cars behind them wait for 20 minutes+

Great food. No inside eating. Using the eat in section as storage. My family wishes they would open that back up. Plan on waiting a bit,as each time we've gone it's taken quite a bit of time to get food or ice cream.

Run of the mill Dairy Queen. Took off one star because I was very disappointed in the iced tea they had here (do people drink brisk iced tea?), the soda area wasn't clean, and I thought the staff could have been friendlier. Other than that, our orders came out accurately and relatively quickly, and the overall store was comfortable and clean.

Pretty tasty, as always. However, I had to repeat my order several times, the team member kept interrupting me. Still got the Oreo Blizzard vs the MINT Oreo Blizzard I ordered. This has actually happened at another location as well.

Got blizzards for the kiddos. The staff didn't do the upside-down check for my blizzards like they are supposed to. Likely because they were a little on the wet side.

Ordered two peanut buster parfait, both swirl ice cream. One no nuts on the bottom, so what do they do....they pile a ton of nuts on top, the other had barely any. Come on, DQ, why??????

Service was fast and direct. Enjoyed the new Jurassic Chomp blizzard. It was definitely one I'd get again. The restaurant was busy during lunch rush, but it was still an enjoyable time.

9pm is already pretty early to be closed in the fast food world so turning off your drive thru menu board and some interior lights at 8:40pm so no one can/will order anything is unacceptable. Great food.....when you can get some.

I love the food at this place and it’s the only fast food place I’ll eat at in Dallas. The staff is friendly and we always give them a tip. However today, not for the first time, my order wasn’t anywhere near right. I ordered a chicken sandwich, large chocolate shake and medium hot fudge sundae. Obviously I didn’t pay attention when the girl read it back to me (I usually can’t understand them because of how quick they talk) because when the order came out, I was handed the chicken sandwich, then a “medium hot fudge blizzard”?? which I said no to, and then a large Carmel shake. How do you get two out of three things ordered wrong?? Guess both the girl and I don’t speak clearly and have really bad hearing!!

Had low blood sugar and needed to eat. The man behind the counter was very helpful with showing me the two for $4.00 menu. Not good handicapped access. The door is narrow and not easy to open. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars for helping me in an emergency. Side note. The restaurant was empty when I was there. Don't know if this is because it's just not a hangout for people of any age, or freak coincidence. But once I was there everything was clean, well prepared and a great value.

Classic fast food burger and fries well prepared and flavorful. I like to have a small blizzard here. I think they would be smart to upgrade the quality of their ice cream mix.

Waited in line for over 25 minutes, people left ahead of us after waiting so long. Onion rings were almost burnt. I know the staff was trying, probably just not enough people on shift.

The drive through is very slow and desert prices are too high. If people order food they don't park them. You just get stuck behind them waiting 10 minutes just for a cone. I don't buy food because their portion sizes are ridiculously small for the price. A small fries has like 5 french fries and a side salad literally has 5 pieces of lettuce. It's a joke! I ordered food on parade day for the first time and I took it back got my money back and have never ordered food from them again only ice cream. I love their dreamsicle dipped cone so much I was hoping they would do dilly bars in the flavor but instead they quit making them all together. Another bad move by DQ.

I'm sad and torn. The food was as expected and the ice cream treats were yummy. The problem is charging $6+ for a MEDIUM Blizzard! That's more than double what Ben & Jerry's is at the store. Not to say B&J are the be all end all of ice cream but DQ selling ice milk as better than real ice cream...not OK.

It's Dairy Queen. Ice cream good. The food is amazing, unless you order after about 730pm. Then they take already cooked food from earlier and microwave it.

There was a line at the drive thru, but it went by pretty quickly. Ordering was quick too with good service. But the Blizzard itself was very liquidy and filled past the top of the cup, so it overflowed when taking the cap off, which was annoying.

We ordered two Peanut Buster Parfaits and a chocolate dipped cone. Took about 15 minutes to finally get it brought from behind the counter. I understand that the drive thru was busy, but when you have people standing there waiting because they didn't want to wait in their cars for a long time! Turns out it would have been quicker!

Ordered two peanut busters. Asked that one not have nuts on the bottom. Where were my nuts in the middle? They were mia.... My buster was melting so bad it was running down the side. O KY liced two minutes away. The other was fine. Tasted good as DQ ice cream beats all.

They got my orders out fast and in a decent amount of time despite being busy. However I don't quite like having messy ice cream containers in my car spilling ice cream out the sides and further more if I wanted Ice cream soup i'd heat it up in a microwave myself. All in all service was okay but Ice cream turned out terrible.

I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich in a combo with a shake and the sandwich was super soggy and I couldn't even eat it and the fries were gross like I think they were old plus we waited 10 minutes for order in the drive thru. I wasn't happy. Hopefully it's better next time.

What happened to the blizzard? $6 for a medium blizzard, ok inflation. But did you have to cut back on ingredients too. I swear there was 1 reeses cup in the blizzard. Last 1/3 was ice cream only. Raising price and cutting ingredients, to much greed. We will no longer purchase your products.

The staff was very kind. We went their on 9-5-15 late. We had an awful day of traveling,had to be towed into the Dalles as our transmission died. The gal at the register offered us a free small sundae because she said looked like we had a bad day, she was right, we passed on ice cream but really appriciated her kindness.

Line was out to the main street :/ bcuz the lobby is still closed. Chicken strips were ok, gravy wasn't even half full. fries limp n greesy, I wanted a malt and Unfortunately it was NOT a malt. Sucks bcuz there's no other place with working ice cream machines it seems. I'll keep trying DQ tho bcuz it's not ALWAYS bad. Just an off day probly.

Always long wait times for the drive through. Decent enough food. Absolutely crazy that I order 11$ combo and have to pay extra for ANY condiment. Stop nickel and diming customers for something you get for 1 cent.

I ordered two blizzards and when I got home noticed that mine wasn't hardly mixed. You could see the mint flavoring on the sides of the cup and still had white ice cream on the bottom and of if that wasn't bad enough it is the consistency of a milk shake not a blizzard by any means. I come thru the drive in every week or too. I always order the same thing #5 combo Deluxe and ice tea. Today when I opened my burger all I got just a double meat and cheese. Nothing else. I was already home and had eaten my fries. I called and was told I ordered it that way, I said, no, I always order the same thing. I was told If I came back they'd make it for me again. I am already home and didn't want to make the trip into town again. So I was just told "sorry about that" Also no napkins. The no napkin thing is happening more and more often now. Thinking I might have to try somewhere else.

They say on line close 10om the time right know is 9:30 , all lady said is there close by, that was it super rude, they couldn't made us two ice cream cones , if it's the new time , then change it on website not hard, don't be so rude short with us , this place is joke , I'd reather go frozen yogurt next time it's way better way nicer

SUPER SLOW!!!! Was in the drive thru for 15 minutes for 2 wraps and a burger!! Got the food and it was cold, like it had been sitting there while they tried to figure everything out. Watched them take an order back through the window as if it was the wrong order. It should not take 15 minutes in the drive thru with only 1 other person ahead of you!!!

I requested my Oregon blizzard to be mixed from top to bottom. Why can't they follow directions. This isn't the only time I have asked for them to do this. Again people want ro be paid more and they cannot pay attention to directions and simple request. 😒

Bad enough we had to wait 15 minutes sitting at the drive thru, but then we get home and the cheeseburgers we ordered are loaded with so much mustard threw it out. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down

When you have your hours on your web page till 10 pm and you show up at 9 30 and they say they are closed and they won't even get you ice cream. Then I am done with you learn how to own and operate a business.

Portions for the ice cream treats are below their own standards. They're being very skimpy and greedy by giving customers less ice cream or toppings!

Slow. Bad customer service. Too expensive for portions. They routinely got our orders wrong after long waits so we no longer go. We used to go for the mushroom swiss burger, blizzards, and the popcorn shrimp. The shrimp is no longer at our location. Used to be a great place to eat so we would look past the prices but with all the other issues it's impossible now.

It never fails. Every single time my family goes to Dallas Dairy Queen they either always get our order wrong, forget something, etc. It's just the absolute worst! Not only did they double charge us this visit, but they also kept forgetting items. I'm so sick and tired of having to deal with their mistakes. Our family rarely goes here, but when we decide to give them another chance, they always mess up one way or another. Such a horrible place! Very unprofessional!

The staff were very impatient and deliberately gave us no fry sauce. The punk at the window wanted to charge for a couple extra sauces. When I said no we'll just take the two free ones he had given us none when we got home. I called to talk to management, not over the fry sauce, just the terribly rude service. After being put on hold then hung up on I gave up. That restaurant does not deserve your hard earned money. It's nice to be able to blog like this after being taken for granted.

Doordash order came and when I opened the box there is barely any fires and 4 of the smaller prices of chicken stripes. At 6:30pm I'm not sure why this would ve acceptable to give to aby customers.

I ordered food and they messed up my order 3 times and I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes waiting for them to give me the right food and after they gave me my food they forgot 2 things in my order so I had to wait additional 10 minutes. And then after receiving our order which was finally correct there was a HAIR in the box my son's burger was in. Super gross and horrible customer service. Super rude and they have really bad communication all the way around.

Special ordered a cake. Gave them a lot of freedom with three options to do whatever was easier for them. Either a rainbow with smiling clouds, a shooting star with a rainbow behind it, or a lil unicorn with some colorful flowers around it. I told them as long as it was colorful and cute we would be happy but that those would make my daughter extra happy. I asked for cookies n creme on bottom and vanilla on top to make the colors pop. I ended up with a chocolaty cookies n creme cake with one side of random color swooshes and a one inch unicorn horn 1/4 inch thick on top of the cake that you barely notice and a thin lined pair of closed eyes. Looks nothing like anything I asked for and didn't even get the ice cream flavor combo right. Never been so disappointed. Just praying my 6 y.o. doesn't mind. Wanted to surprise her with an amazing cake and was so excited for this. I'm sad to say that won't be the case this year. Wish I had said something in the store .. but it was a long morning of errands with two kids and I just didn't have the energy or the time to argue it. For future people ordering a cake, be EXTREMELY specific and repeat yourself numerous times if you hope to get what you are asking for. I was more relaxed about the order (other than the layering of the cake) so I guess they took the creative liberty of making something that wasn't anything like I expected or thought I had discussed with them..

Update: I don't think I'll ever get anything here that isn't prepackaged again. We were told by a staff member that the food was heated in the microwave. Another time the staff was visibly unbathed, dirty nails and odor. No thanks. Basic dairy queen. The people working there are always nice and don't mind mixing boxes of dilly bars for me. Their coolness to the customers gets this place 3 stars.

I waited at the register for over 15 minutes without my order being taken. I was told by two different workers that they would be right with me. It appeared that the drive thru and mobile orders took priority over dine-in customers.

Kids running the place are extremely rude. Refused to add whipped cream to my blizzard after I requested it and initially telling me it costs extra. Limp soggy fries. Didn’t flip my blizzard then when I asked for my free one denied the DQ policy regarding that stipulation saying they don’t follow that rule and the owner decided they were not participating or honoring that experience. This is the worst DQ I have ever been at. The next day at the west Salem branch was treated amazing and even offered free whip.

My mom went through the drive through earlier today. She pulled up behind a big diesel truck that was fairly loud. Making it hard for the person taking the order to hear properly and making it impossible for her to tell the employee her order. Not only did she get a nasty attitude from the one taking the order she also got attitude from the supposed manager. I don't care who you are. You are in the customer service industry. You should try and be a little nicer. Especially if both parties can't hear each other.

Bought 2 blizzard's yesterday and they were not tipped upside-down for 1. 2 bought 2 $5 burger meals today, burgers looked like they were thrown together, especially the New A1 burger. Order took 20 minutes, now I know it was the lunch hour, but took way to long. Didn't get a receipt OR fry sauce. As a former fast food owner, this was unacceptable.

Ordered a mint Oreo blizzard with extra Oreo. Blizzard wasn’t served upside down and we didn’t get a free one. My blizzard wasn’t minty and there was barely any Oreo. You can tell from the pic how little Oreo there was. I literally threw it away. Red head at the window was really rude.

Dallas D.Q. is the worst! Restaurant full of flys. Crew looks sad and moving slowly not making eye contact. Forgot our order completely while we sat and try to catch there attention. Order incomplete went up twice to get dipping sauces stood at counter 5 minutes and nobody even tried to help, just looking down and not making eye contact. How sad...

After waiting in line 25 minutes received a blizzard that was half melted and looked like someone had eaten 1/4 of it. Not pleased with how expensive this dairy queen is now either. $7 for that? Our ice cream must have been made before the 3 cars in front of us had their food made... not even so much as an apology for the wait.... just a 2/3 full blizzard shoved in our face before shutting the window. Update I have given this place several other tries after this last review and every time I leave disappointed and feeling cheated. I have gone in after this only to be ignored by the staff at the front until I literally had to be like "excuse me!" After waiting for 10 minutes while multiple people passed and looked at me but didn't even acknowledge me. Furthermore on that same visit I had five people behind me order food and I ordered a simple dipped ice cream cone. Their food was delivered (5 MEALS) to them before my cone was to me... because somehow they managed to forget it when there was just me and that one other group in the entire restaurant. Again not even the smallest apology for the wait or being forgotten about. Last night will be my last visit to this local Dairy queen. Medium hot fudge sundae got one tablespoon a hot fudge, MAYBE. It was basically just a cup of vanilla ice cream. When I worked at Dairy Queen (to be fair...two decades ago when I guess customer service was still a thing)... we were required to put hot fudge on the bottom, the sides and the top. This was sad and disappointing for the price. If I wanted a vanilla ice cream cone I would have ordered a vanilla ice cream cone. For the prices that they charge it's sad that they feel they have to be so stingy. I'm all for supporting local business. If they actually put in a minute amount of effort I wouldn't mind spending 10 times more on an ice cream cone then I would on a pint of ice cream at Safeway... but when you combine poor service with poor product...no thank you

Been standing here for 10 minutes now waiting to place my order. Numerous employees have walked past us without even acknowledging that we are standing here. When someone finally decided to take our order not once did they smile and no apologies for the wait. I would have left but my grandson wanted Dairy Queen. The next time he wants Dairy Queen I will be driving to Salem.

May 30, 2025. 3:40pm. TERRIBLE! The small salad I received was mostly chunks of lettuce that looked like they were torn from the bottom half of a head of lettuce...big clumps, and also a few shreds of wilted stale lettuce. They also forgot to put tomatoes in it. NO TOMATOES IN A SALAD????? Aside from these issues the salad didn't even fill the bottom half of the container. C'mon DQ. DO BETTER. At least give customers what they pay for. The cheeseburger I ordered didn't have lettuce on it either. What's up with the lettuce? I've had issues in the past too. I keep hoping each time I visit would be an improvement. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but today I couldn't resist. My expectations are gone!

I came in for lunch today with my daughter. Ento came through the drive-through ordered a single backyard, bacon ranch with the ranch on the side. I had to go park in order to wait for the food so me thinking it was gonna be a nice hot and yummy. I ended up with a patty smothered and barbecue sauce and that is it. No onion rings no yummy yummy absolutely a waste of money and do you realize how much these things cost? I get it if you don’t like your job quit work somewhere else but when we come here expecting a certain quality or a certain taste and you give us this kind of crap all it does is make us want did not return
