Surprisingly one of the best Mc Donald’s I’ve been to. Went in to get the new grinch meal, the lady at the counter was nice, she greeted us as soon as we got there at took our order quickly. It was made fresh & hot and delicious overall. It was late too like 11p but they all had a great attitude & they didn’t forget my sauces so I didn’t have to request anymore!

Went through the drive thru at 2:30pm. The person that took my order got the soda wrong. The person at the second window that handed me my food made my day she tried to correct the order by asking if I wanted the correct flavor soda. That's a quality worker and a caring person thank you very much to that person!

UPDATE; Feb 2022, drive thru experience, not satisfied. First we ordered a 20 piece nuggets, only received 10. Went to knock on the door because no one would come for assistance after noticing I was standing their showing my bag. So I finally get some help, had my receipt and the bag showing my missing item, she returns with 10 more nuggets. Get home, only 3 minutes away, my son who eats everything we give him, refuses the nuggets after eating one. He said it tastes awful. I then give the remaining nuggets to his older brother and he confirms, it tastes like it's been sitting for a long while, heck at a glance they actually look like it. Older son works at BK while attending CRC, mentions that nuggets looking like this and most likely sitting on the warmer shelf, should of been discarded. McDONALDS, please tell your employees to think twice before handing out very old food. Your CUSTOMER service was outstanding, but please improve on the food quality. If anyone listens, I thank you! At this time, ordering online for curb pickup AFTER five p.m. is a waste. You are directed online, once you've near and check in, to join the long line of drive thru folks. Just letting y'all know.

All the McDonald's look tike there going through a midlife crisis. There so institutionalized now. The food was what I expected my daughter and I were out for a ride so swing in. The service was nonexistent because I used the self order kiosk.

Always busy but courteous. Just remodeled. Great for a quick bite to eat. Some things are a little pricey but tasty. Love the any size regular coffee (hot) & any size fountain drink for $1.00. Clean

The place looks gorgeous. I don't really like the "Order Yourself" machines, and they sorta take away from the front counter, where person to person interaction is meant to occur. Overall i think it's an excellent restaurant, needs more attention.

4 stars because of the renovation. I really like how it looks inside. I'm sad because there is no more TV, but at the same time it promotes talking haha. Also, I LOVE the ordering kiosks. I don't have to wait in line to say what I want. I can pay there or take my ticket to the front right away to pay with cash. It's a huge convenience. It scans your discounts too!

Always is my Childhood favorite. Great location, clean restaurant, friendly staffs, tasty foods. The only complaint is that the vegetarian options are very limited, strongly suggest McDonalds headquarters add more vegetarian options to their menu. Thanks!

Edit: It seems they were in fact waiting to renovate this restaurant. I had given it 1 star, but I will give them their due. They did fix nearly every problem I mentioned. It is a better fast food place now. I'll leave my original review below. ====================== I am not impressed. We came here because I promised the kids we would go. They wanted to go to the play area. So, why am I not impressed? Finding parking was a pain. I found out a large number of parking spaces were blocked off while they were waiting for a truck to deliver supplies. This large number of spaces was blocked off at noon on a Saturday. Good thinking. No one would go to Micky D's at lunch on a Saturday. I'm not sure if it is management or the shipping company that should be spanked, but someone should at least have a talking to... Next, the franchisee need to take a few bucks from the Dollar Menu and put them back into the facilities. Nearly all vinyl seats have rips or tears in them. The worst was a booth near the play area. While I was there, during a busy time, three families looked at it, made a face, and then looked for another place to sit. I'll post a pic if I figure out how... This was not an impressive visit.

This store has gone downhill since the pandemic. Service is iffy every time I go. It’s amazing if the person handing you the food actually checks that you are getting everything you ordered. The lobby is more like being in an institution than restaurant. No drink machines, no napkins, no one to clean up. Looks horrible. Don’t recommend going in. Ordering via drive thru is better, but not by a lot.

Long lines in the drive through, that went fairly well. My McChicken sandwich was ok but not as good a the chicken sandwich I had there last week. I didn’t get a total $ or I probably would have figured it out this time. I need to figure out what I ordered last week because it was great. It was obvious I didn’t order the same thing!

Something always seems to go wrong with this place. Also you would think that the fries would always be good, fresh, and hot, but its always a hit or miss with this place. I had a run in with the manager because they much rather loose 30 bucks than to just refund our 8 bucks they over charged. Also charged $1 more for extra mac sauce. Kinda bummed about that.

Service is awful. No personal service. It is basically an AI type restaurant. Kiosk ordering without options to make necessary changes and if you have to get personal service, good luck! Tables were filthy!

Atmosphere was comparable to hospital dining. Portions are getting increasingly smaller while fetching top dollar. This company stopped being relevant decades ago

I give this place an average rating because most people know what to expect at McDonald's. I came here for a coffee. 👍👍👍 Three thumbs up. This item here at McDonald's exceeds the average however. It use to be the best price but now it's a great price. Still cheeper than other places. Always hot. Thank you.

Food was fresh but paying $8 for a meal to have this small of a sandwich is pretty crazy 😭🤣

Drive-thru service is good but once in awhile I walk in simply for a cup of coffee. Ever since they put in the kiosks the counter service is minimal. The wait time for small orders in very long. All the labor is devoted to the drive-thru window. I usually have a lot of patience but I'm not going to wait 12 to 15 minutes for a small cup of coffee.

service wasn't so great they didn't follow my directions or not having pickles and I wanted a hamburger not cheeseburger and they gave me cheeseburgers with Pickles didn't and my baby like I asked for I'm still charged for all those things dinosaurs not great a lot of homeless people walking around asking for change while eating in your car..

We've gone to the McDonald's hundred of times over the last 17 years. Over the last six months, the service has gone way downhill. I thought the kiosks we're to use if a customer wants to order this way. At this place it is becoming the only way. You can't even get someone to take your order. They don't even acknowledge that you are there. Nights are the worst. 14 minutes to get 2 McDoubles that were cold and only had one page each. Then another 5 to get them fixed. No apology at all. On a positive note, the weekday morning lady has been there forever is still AWESOME!

We ate there around 11 am. The food was gross, even by Mc Donald's standards! I received extra greasy fries that tasted like the oil was from two days ago. My burger contained a dried out bun, an overcooked meat patty, one tiny pickle, two drops of mustard and one drop of ketchup. The chocolate shake was delicious, but hardly had any chocolate in it.

Carlos was a courteous and caring employee I had an issue with my McDonald's app coupon not working he took the time to listen to my needs thank you . For the manager not sure on her correct pronunciation of her name Giselle/Janelle but was very careless about her job had the employee deal with the situation that she was supposed to handle had the employee play middle man she was not trying to help me or even deal with my issue . These employees do not get paid enough to deal with management issues from the customers if they wanted to get the pay as a manager they would have applied for one the manager working that night was just unprofessional employees or customer should not have to deal with a manager like that one. Not sure if she was from another location or just a new manager I've been coming to this McDonald's since they open never once have had a problem, one bad manager can cost loyal customers from ever coming back .

The filet o fish was the most dry I’ve ever tasted in my life.. it had maybe tea spoon of sauce on both. I had to eat it otherwise I should have taken pictures.. so disappointed this location has definitely lost its flare. Customer service is garbage and now the food is as dry and bad as the service.

Made me wait for my order but hand me the McFlurry right away so it can melt. Forgot the apple pie, that must have been what they were waiting for because everything else was on the cold side. Why can't workers actually check the dang orders before handing them out the window? Tell me why we are paying these folks $20.00 an hour...

The cashiers are rude. They rarely get the order correct. If it wasn't for the play area I'd take my business elsewhere.

The food and service were good. I can't rate any higher due to them having a play area and obviously wanting families to frequent their establishment but, they don't have a place to change a child's diaper in the ladies restroom. 🤔

This McDonald's choked me with the over priced senior coffee, while other McDonald's restaurants charge $.54 cents for a senior coffee, this place charges over $1.80 with taxes included or $1.69 if you pay with EBT, just for the smaller size they have,this is outrageous to me.Now just to be fair they give you a refill which other McDonald's restaurants don't do, not that this generosity makes up for the abusive initial price though,other than that service and food wise is tolerable.

Most of the workers are rude and very unfriendly. I asked if the plate a worker was carrying was my food and she didn't say a word, just dropped it off on my table. Area is clean and nice, can't complain about the food but service could def be improved.

This morning I ordered my breakfast meal, nd for the drink I asked for fruit punch, I get to the window to get the food and they try to hand me a coke, I DONT DRINK SODA, the lady who took my order didn’t say there wasn’t any fruit punch , so they said they have hi c or Powerade I said Hi C…HI C!! Me wondering why it’s fizzy, why did I get Fanta!!!!!

The customer service at this location is terrible. We got into the drive through way before three other cars and all three cars were taken care of way before they even thought to take our order. Why make two drive through lines if you aren’t going to utilize both? The guy who handed us our drinks was rude and there really was no interaction besides “here’s your drinks”. There was no “have a good day” or anything of that sort. He also closed the window in our faces without asking was there anything else we needed. I got a fruitopia because I rarely drink soda and the drink basically tasted like water with food coloring in it. Will not be returning to this location!

I didn't like anything. The store manager Vicky, was very disrespectful and rude to me and my family. She was yelling and she took video/photos of me. She doesn't know how to treat customers under any circumstances. The floor in the lobby was wet and my dad fell on the floor when the power was out. I had a very bad experience here and I must likely not come again.

Would rate lower if possible, but out of all the McDonald's I've visited this one is simply horrible, they couldn't get my order right and then they didn't even fix it. The manager simply stated "Too bad, not my problem". When I received some of the food that was correct it was cold and tasted microwaved. So I left feeling cheated because I paid for stuff I didn't receive or ask for. Not to mention the store itself looked horrible because several seats were rotten and torn. Asked if could get the cheese on my burger melted and she responded “There’s no special way we make the burger”… I said so I can’t get the cheese melted on my burger? She says “No”… I haven’t been to McDonald’s in almost 10 years and this just reminded me why.

Just went through their drive thru and ordered two of the same exact happy meals for my kids. Got home and one had a French fry container but zero fries in the bag. I decided to call to let them know but after letting the phone ring for a long enough time without them answering, I just hung up. Doing a special trear for the kids and having people screw it up when it's such an easy task is super frustrating.

For the 1st time, the fries don't taste like McDonald's brand fries. Hot but bland taste. Didn't have the taste, texture, or ever dimension of usual brand of fries. Shoestring size cut. Very disappointed. Staff were great.

I dont ever post reviews, especially for a fast food chain but this location has gotten increasingly infuriating. The last 3 trips we have had to wait over 10 minutes for non altered regular menu items when there are little to no other customers in the drive thru. This defeats the purpose of the "fast food" trip and seems completely illogical to happen time and time again. Seeing 3-5 cars pulled over waiting every trip means this location needs to do something else to increase their efficiency

Asked for Kethchup for my fries. No big deal right.. well was handed a handul of ketchup but something was spilled all over the packets making them all extremely sticky and nasty. Not the biggest deal but I didn't eat any of it due to the fact that I would have needed to clean each ketchup packet to make sure I didn't eat any of whatever was all over my packets. Just dirty...

They charged $3.19 for a small (only half a cup) rest was whip cream. The hot mocha was disgusting!!! Only had about 1/2 cup of liquid. Will not return to this mcdonalds

Gisela one of the managers is very slow and a horrible manager. she was to busy, she had her cell phone stuck to her ear and a hamburger in her other hand. when she came to take my order she had catch up all over her face. I ordered a fry and it took 14 minutes to get out the lady is rude and does not know how to manage a McDonald’s she should be fired and McDonald’s should be ashamed of having her as a manager! they should be ashamed of one order of a fry taking 14 minutes unacceptable! I guess a large fry takes a very long time.

They just remodeled the place and it’s a mess already, every time I’ve been inside it’s dirty. I went in the bathroom once and they had a toilet brush and gloves on the counter. The drive thru is slow and usually get the order wrong. I’ve never been to a Mc Donald’s that uses so much salt on their fries, it’s horrible and it’s every time I’ve been. If I could give it a 0 stars I would. Come on management take a good look at how horrible your restaurant is being run.

I'm not sure what happened, but since the remodel last summer I have never ever had an order, no matter how simple, be made correctly. Sometimes they park me and forget my order altogether. Tonight all I ordered was a Coke, and it was still wrong. It's sad that this store took such a bad turn.

Our local one is usually good service..kept clean. Last week my husband and I went in on a Sunday evening and the staff were less than attentive..and the place was filthy! Disgusting! The parking lot was cleaner than the inside.

Came back a couple years later just now in to order a McDouble and it was burnt. Guess this place will never change. Zero stars. Sold my husband an already opened happy meal for my daughter. Then manager lied and tried to act like she didn't sell an old handed back happy meal. Makes me wonder about their sanitation.

My experience at this McDonald’s was horrible it took me 45 minutes before I got my order. First, they asked me to park in space 3, then I waited for 20 minutes and the food still hadn't come. My kids were super hungry and they were wondering why what’s going on. I sent my 18year-old and her sister to see what was taking so long to get our food. The manager did not believe her that we have not received our food and asked at what time we place our order through the drive-thru my daughter told him to look at the receipt it said 5:20 pm. The Manager asked what type of car we drove and he came out to look at my vehicle went back to his office, l guess to verify and of course, it took him a while. My family and I were treated like a thief's. I never felt so discriminated against. My worse $37.42 spend at McDonald's and I got my order at 6:05 pm after my daughter pointed out that fries were missing and still did not get sauce for the nuggets.😠 No Bueno!!

Extremely slow 😕 After waiting 20 minutes and another 5 of seeing it on the counter i had to just go get it. Then they gave me a milkshake that was like water. **Update** not that McDonald's even cares but the service is continuously getting worse. 15 minutes in the drive thru with 1 car ahead of me. Went in for a quick breakfast one morning and there was 2 women complaining about how they were not being served. To top it off the floors were nasty and needed to be swept. Apparently no cleaning on the night shift.

Went into the drive through and waited in line behind one car in the left lane. While I waited three cars used the right lane and I never got so much as a have you been helped. Went to the one literally 2 miles down the freeway and immediately got my order done.

Terrible. Got home and the burgers were a mess. The workers just threw everything in sloppy. Lettuce for mcchicken was falling out of wrapper and quarter pounder I got was Big Mac patty and not the thicker patty. I had ordered a large McFlurry but it came in a kids soda size cup. Not coming back ever.

Warning! Do not go here through the drive through unless you have a lot of time or are willing to get out of your car and go inside to correct an incorrect order. Twice in the past few months they have completely messed up our order by omitting 2 of the 4 meals we ordered. This was after they had us pull to the side to wait. Then today we we ordered 4 hashbrowns, 3 coffees and a smoothie. We were again asked to wait on the side for our drinks after receiving the hashbrowns. After waiting 15 minutes for drinks a lady came out with an order for the people behind us and asked us what drunks we ordered again because they forgot. I then asked for a refund and went inside. The lady I asked for a refund to completely walked away from me. Then they still tried to give us our drinks, but they weren't labeled, and they couldn't tell me which was which, and the smoothie was missing. After that, I asked for a refund, and they only refunded me for the coffees and not the smoothie. Needless to say, we went to the Dutch Bros down the street. They got the HUGE line through within 5 mins and all the orders perfect! Thanks Dutch Bros Elk Grove!!!!!

The worst experience I’ve ever had a McDonald’s employees were very confrontational, unorganized, and unwilling to help, the play area was hot hot. The AC was broken it’s been years, and they use the same excuse that it Two of my kids are heat sensitive and they cannot use the facility which makes it unwelcome in and not accommodating due to severe heat and poor circulation of air in the play area

Had to go to the register 4 different times within the same visit to finally get the correct order. Unfortunately, this has happened the last two times ive visited this place. It may be well renovated on the exterior. But if the service is horrible as it has been thus far then the renovation is definitely overlooked. I rather invest my $ elsewhere where neither of the two things need compromising.

This McDonald's was my most disappointing experience. There was a lot of unkindness from the manager’s Giselle. Every time Giselle criticizes us, she finds a way to do so. She has no idea how to treat customers. There are a lot of attitudes among management about her. This is not a place I recommend you work at.

This McDonald’s does NOT serve The Real Diet Coca-Cola brand! SO irritating!! Every few months I will go here to see if they do so I don’t have to drive 3 miles to the other McDonald’s on Laguna Blvd and Bruceville that do serve the real Coca-Cola. I have been drinking McDonald’s, diet Coca-Cola for decades so I know the REAL thing!

This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a quarter pounder delux which comes with lettuce and tomato. They gave me one with bacon, so I took it back to have it redone and they gave me another one with bacon. I cannot eat pork. So I asked her for a refund because I had to go back to work. (This had wasted my entire lunch) And she asked me to go outside and get my soda because she needed it for the refund.

I just went to the Drive Tru and order fish flea and I told them to make sure the food is warm and good not cold . unfortunately my order was not warm enough and test was like left over food . I’ll never go back to this location.

So I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich through the drive through and when I got home to eat it, wow, this sandwich was so dry and hard I threw it away. If you decide to order one, check it before you leave. I recommend it.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing and disturbing experience at this McDonald’s location. One of the managers displayed extreme disrespect. I believe her name started with Z she is short with Korean features. I hope you guys know who I am talking about. When I politely asked a question twice to clarify something, she responded with a harsh attitude, raising her voice as if I were deaf. It was embarrassing and completely uncalled for. It’s shocking to see this kind of behavior tolerated, especially from someone in a leadership role. A manager should be setting an example of respect and professionalism, not making customers feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. I hope McDonald’s takes steps to address this issue because everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, no matter their background. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I won’t be returning until I see significant improvements.

I don’t understand what the point is of using the mobile app if they make you wait for your food regardless. This has happened to me twice yesterday and today. I order the same thing every morning on my way to work and now today I’m late because I’m waiting for them to complete my order I ordered in advance on my mobile app.

If I could give a zero, I would I don’t go to McDonald’s often, but I wanted to treat at the end of the night I showed up to the drive-through before closing time in plenty of time showed up to the speaker, they asked me if I used the mobile app I said no they then proceeded to let me sit there for the 10 minutes until closing time ignoring me asking hello is anyone there to take my order and completely was ignored the whole entire time was not even told sorry we are closing nothing. These people here are the slowest I’ve ever seen! They messed up my order twice and took 20 minutes to give us even the drinks. You can’t serve your own drinks anymore at all. They also have the heater on and it’s 92 outside. The poor older guy cleaning the dining room was so polite but looks like he is melting too. Horrible services!! Will never return!! Worst $57 spent and all for a play area that is too hot and stuffy for the kids to even enjoy!!

This store is a joke. It gets worse and worse every time I go there. We want 20 bucks an hour but we can’t remember sauce, straws, napkins. Nothing, then today I’m like I’ll get it delivered. They charge my bank account and NEVER DELIVERED THE FOOD. Are you kidding me?

They berated my grandmother this evening for "ordering slow", charged her for fries we didn't order, and got snippy with her for ordering meals. We wanted 3 simple items and had to alert for my pickle allergy, instead we got a short dark haired girl with 12 pounds of attitude and absolutely 0 respect for basic human kindness. She talked to my grandmother like she was an inconvenience, interrupted her mid order after every item to ask "small, medium, or large" like they were helping a small child not a grown woman.

UPDATE - thought I’d give them another chance after not going for 3 months. Nope, same issue!! See below Their McFlurry and milkshake machine is always down. My family and I love their milkshakes and have been there at least three times in the last couple months … always down. We will no longer be going here as they never seem to fix the issue. Avoid

Went to this McDonald’s in Elk Grove, CA today, July 19 at 11:55 AM. Placed my order. Drove to the window. A woman open the window. I would say a middle-age, Latin descent lady, she looks annoyed, she looked put out. She asked me if I had an order, I said yes, I told her I just placed my order. She said, did you stop at the first window and pay? I said I was told to come to the second window. She said no, you had to stop at the first window. She was rude and uncooperative. Apparently McDonald’s is scrapping the bottom of the employment barrel.

Refused service due to hearing issues from military service. My family was unable to hear the individual attempting to take our order. We moved to pace our order at window and was refused service. The manager refused to hear our case, and the fact I have hearing loss from serving our country in Afghanistan. My whole family suffered because I wanted to protect all our freedoms. There were also subtle attitudes related to my family being mixed raced. I can’t believe this is the management at this location. Please, if you support mix race families and veterans don’t go here.

If they screw up your order and leave something out in the drive thru, they won’t fix it. They will make you go back through the drive thru or go inside. Even after we checked with the first window employee and he told us the order was right, it wasn’t. The second window girl basically said not my problem.

I don't usually eat McDonald's but had a hankering for a salty burger. I ordered a deluxe burger meal and I'm guessing it was the manager that gave me my order because he was dressed differently and wearing a tie. I didn't notice until I was back at my jobsite and didn't have time to return so I had to eat someone else's chicken sandwich with extra lettuce. You would think that these people are making over $20 and hour that can can get a simple order correct. I won't be going to any McDonald's ever again.

Though I ordered cooked-to-order chicken nuggets, i.e., they must be fried raw/not previously cooked, I got already cooked ones refried, as is so obvious from the taste & how the nuggets looked! This can only be indicative of the lack of honesty of those working there. & it's the second time this has happened to me at this location, so I thought it could be helpful for others to write a review & raise awareness about such cheating practices! Also, frying oil's obviously not so good/clean/well-maintained as I could also tell from this experience & ordering at this location.

The ladies at the drive-through not good service they make you go to the drive-through and then wait on the side. They have your order ready inside and wait for you to go inside to get your order that is not good service and they’ve been there for years.

I thought these were all Karen’s in the reviews, and I’m the last person to review a McDonalds, but they’re not wrong. Asked for fresh fries, and they tasted like they were old fries, reheated. The chicken in the snack wrap was dry and tasted like it was days old. Even the soda, I’ve noticed this location never changes their filter, so all drinks has that nasty tap/sulfuric taste no matter what drink you get. Felt sick after eating here. Avoid.

Dear Managers, Please tell your workers to lighten up. I understand life gets tough but to always grumpy and impatient is not ok…. This goes for many locations in the Elk Grove region.

So I went through the drive-through to get a large soda. I thought their sodas were $1.25 for any size apparently not so I asked the girl who handed me the soda if their prices went up or something and she literally told me I don’t know. I just work here who in their right mind would tell that to a customer as a manager myself I would never let any of my employees talk like that to a customer. I’m sure she did not mean it in a rude way, but the point is is if a customer asked you a question you find out What the answer is or help solve the problem instead of “ I don’t know I just work here.” Then when I called to talk to the manager, he pretty much told me well sometimes when the prices change the employees don’t know so I asked him did the prices change recently. He was all probably like a couple weeks ago and I said OK my point is do you normally have Employees talk to the customers that way? So he told me I’m sure she didn’t mean it in a rude way. No I’m sure she didn’t mean it in a rude way, but you still should never say that to a customer so clearly even the manager thought nothing of it that is what the younger generation has brought Crappy service

Went there today and the person taking my order seemed distracted. I was pretty sure they didn't catch the "no salt" request so I clarified at the first window, just to recieve fries with salt. I'm unsure if they actually did try to hand me fries with no salt by just double dipping them in oil, because my fries not only had salt but were unusually dark and crispy. I was even more irritated to find that they only gave me one sweet and sour sauce. So cheap for the prices they charge these days and just rude/ disappointing.

Does not take orders correctly!!! 6th time I will literally start recording my orders and keeping track of how many times they have taken my order wrong. Burger plane and no cheese. I’m always calm and polite. We have savvier food allergies and this is a serious case. Owner get your managers and hires in check. It’s sad to see how kids can’t punch in orders on a kiosk that is majorly pictures.

A return to the classic McDonald’s experience. Avoid this location. I placed a mobile order after having great experiences in Folsom all last month. After twenty minutes of waiting at the curb I went in to see what was going on. I saw burgers as well as stacks and stacks of fries under the heat lamps. There was a confused manager handing food out to the wrong tickets, and the place was untidy. Morbid curiosity made me sit in the vehicle and wait another six minutes for my food to arrive. Sure enough, it looks like this location is not participating in the fresh meat program. The quarter pounder was dry, and had the distinguished McDonald’s taste from frozen beef sitting on the counter too long. The bread was not fresh and all the fixings were just slapped on, with everything warmed to the same temperature. The fries tasted as expected; reheated and definitely not fresh for at least an hour. The chicken tenders were tough and over fried, and suddenly I remember why I go elsewhere when I’m craving a quick burger around here. If you’re going to brave the food, don’t do it here before you’ve had a chance to step into the facility and see for yourself. Definitely can not recommend this place for drive through or mobile order. Actually, won’t recommend this place at all.
