Gen Korean BBQ in Fullerton is a MUST-VISIT spot! 🤩 We had an AMAZING experience and can't wait to come back! The food was top-notch (loved the spicy pork belly!), but it was the service that really STEAL THE SHOW! Johnny, one of the managers, was INCREIBLE - super friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel like part of the family! He shared some awesome stories about Gen and was happy to chat with us. We tried their new drinks and WOW - the Lychee Oolong tea was a GAME CHANGER and the Strawberry Milk was TO DIE FOR 🍵. Huge shoutout to Johnny for making our dinner so special! 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Can't wait to be back!

Had a delicious Korean buffet BBQ here yesterday evening around 6pm. It was quite busy, and we waited about 15 minutes for a table for four. The meat was really top quality, and if you're a meat lover, I definitely recommend this place!

We went today and we were treated so well by most of the staff we had a very nice server and the manager jonny was so sweet and on top of his game we had issues with our grill and he popped in and saved the day we didnt want to lose our table since it was in a good private area which we loved and he fixed the issue and we were able to enjoy our dinner in peace. You have to try the new boba drinks they are actually really good quality and delicious must try! 😋 The only bad thing I do wanna say is that the other manager I didnt catch his name but he might of been Latin tall and husky was kinda rude and really put a damper on our day he said he was going to charge us $5 extra each for not finishing our food we weren't even done eating yet... that really caught us off I've been here so many times and never had anyone say or do that to us... His delivery and tone was very rude and inappropriate. We were all smiles having a great time and he just popped in with his negative presence and attitude to dampen our mood.... still wont let it ruin my experience since everything else was above standards.

Gen KBBQ in Fullerton is amazing! It was a busy night, with a crowd waiting outside for their turn to dine in. My date and I waited about 15 minutes and had great customer service during our dinner. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The staff changed our grills several times without us asking. I loved the quality of the meats, rice paper, and how they had Carne Asada Steak with Tortillas. The vibes and physical location of this restaurant were amazing. Absolutely love this location!

The manager Johnny really took care of us. Came to our table to check in on us, had a great conversation with us and offered our table a sample of off menu drinks. Awesome atmosphere and great service will definetly be back.

We tried this place for the first time last night for a celebration dinner and the food was very good. Wait lines were a little too long but the environment was something we enjoyed as family. Would come back here

This is 3rd time visiting this location in the last week. I pass 2 Chick-fil-A on my commute. This location is so efficient and the food is always fresh. The employees are very nice and they all have beautiful smiles every time I visit! 😍💗😍

Very clean and friendly restaurant. The young man who was a manager today was super friendly. They were very efficient and there was almost no weight even though they were very busy. The restaurant was very clean.

Only picked up a Mac & Cheese It was delicious. Better than a lot of Fine Dining Restaurants. It's real, no mix & not processed. I had to wait unnecessarily for a medium cup & bag had been on counter for over 5 minutes. This location is generally very good. Not sure if management changed but they looked unorganized.

Over all its pretty good. Nothing crazy but still offer good variety. Must tries would be the prime steak, short ribs, and mango twist things for dessert.

Came on New Year’s Day 2026 and we waited 30 min to be seated. Apparently several servers called off so we initially were being served by the manager. He took our drink orders and after bringing our drinks we didn’t see him again. After waiting for 15 min we were then handed off to Zay, our server. Under the circumstances he was very good. I have no complaints for Zay. I just wish the communication between the manager and him was better. As far as food, it was average at best. I do not like how dark it is in the restaurant. Also the vent system could be better. Too much smoke inside. The floors definitely were slippery due to the floating grease in the air. We came cause we had a gift card. I doubt we’ll be coming back.

We came on a weekday right after it opened. The menu can be viewed on the phone but you have to order thru the waiter. It wasn't that busy but the waiter didn't replace our grill on time so our food was always burnt. The quality of meat was just so so and the waiter lost track of our orders ended up bringing a lot of food in the end. I would suggest to let people order it thru the phone so that it is convenient to track what they have ordered.

We visited many different GEN branches in California and Texas. This branch did not meet my Food, service, and atmosphere expectations. The food portions were too small, so I had to order many times for four people, which was bad because they do not have enough staff to keep up with demand. The restaurant inside the room was too hot, keeping me sweating while eating! GEN has been my favorite restaurant, but I think this restaurant's branch could be better. I would recommend GEN but not this branch.

The service at this Chic fil A is constantly extremely slow. I had to wait I. The order line for 15 minutes for just a Chicken Biscuit.baddutionally, they are the most unfriendly servers I've ever seen at Chic Fil A. They don't greet you when you enter either. I waited 5 minutes just to get someone to make eye contact. No one ever did, so I left. I had to go back out and wait in my car. Everytime I come to this location, its the same, poor service. That says alot about the management !! I've also observed the cooks going in the restroom with their aprons on. That's a definite no no, for Sanitary reasons!! To the management, you have to get it together, train your employees properly. Its top down, so you must be the same. Be the example you want them to be !

Understaffed for sure.Had a bad experience the last time we went as well, but decided to give it another try. We had to ask multiple times for our first round of meat. They were out of rice paper and forks !!! Waitress we had was not attentive and rude. My son and daughter in law had never been so they were unsure how to order. So when ordering sides/appetizers the waitress asked “are you gonna eat it?” Like what!! On top of it all it was my daughter’s bday. Not an overall good experience at all. Love Gen , but we won’t be back to this specific location for sure .

If anyone else liked the salad from here you'll be disappointed to know they changed the recipe. Idk why they thought they had to reinvent the salad but what they have now is a warm cabbage dish. Food and service is still good. Please bring back the salad! If it wasn't broken before, don't fix it now when no one asked.

Come here as a single or couple is fine, as a big group is worse. 4 meat dishes per order, each dish is 1 piece of meat. Party of five needs to wait for the second round of order. Each portion is so small and the wait is long to get to the next round and they asked for the time when we sit down since there is 2 hours limit. Basically, All you can eat against the two hours marks and the turn around order. Never come here again Adding, the grill power is only good for 2 to 3 person party. Here is the photo of 10 or more minutes waiting between order round. Updated, after another 15 minutes waiting, nothing happened. Just ordered a Rice paper and cucumber pickle. And continued to wait.

I stopped by this location because I didn’t want to drive to Cerritos, but what a disappointment. As shown in the attached picture, I was served a frozen, tiny slice of brisket that was stuck together. During the busy lunch hour around noon, there was only one server trying to handle everything — which clearly affected the quality of service and food.

I’m really disappointed with our recent visit to Gen Korean BBQ. The quality of service has seriously dropped. Our server, Julian, was incredibly forgetful throughout the entire meal. Every time we asked for something, he would say yes, but then never follow through. We had to repeatedly remind him about basic requests, which made the experience frustrating and exhausting instead of enjoyable. He also never once checked in on our table to see if we needed anything. To make things worse, the host at the front didn’t acknowledge us when we arrived. No greeting, no eye contact, nothing. It set the tone for the rest of the night. About an hour and a half after we left, my partner started feeling sick and later experienced what appears to be food poisoning. That alone is enough to make sure we never return. This place used to be fun and reliable, but the decline in both service and overall quality is very noticeable. We won’t be coming back.

My party of four came in, we got seated right away the hostess was very polite. But our server Vanessa, short, glasses, black hair, had an attitude right away. It was our first time coming to a Korean bbq so we didn’t know how to order efficiently. So she was giving us attitude not helping what so ever looking at us like we’re dumb. Food was amazing though! She didn’t kill our night. First time ever having to give someone a zero tip. 😓

Took my wife and kid after work looking for an enjoyable meal tried this new place out, got seated at a table pretty fast, but our servers took way too long to serve us even though there was hardly anyone in the place. Left after the first round still got charged full price. Would recommend going to Mr. BBQ for a way better experience

Right off the bat, need to state that our waiter, Israel, committed credit card fraud on my card. If you get him, save your receipt because he will add his own tip on top of what you’ve signed for. Management seems to be in on it and tried covering for Israel until I threatened to get my bank involved. Still waiting on my refund, but have the proof needed to escalate this, hopefully that’s not needed. Even before being literally scammed, I thought it was bizarre that the server told us he would not be able to split the bill more than 2 ways. This does not make any sense to me, that in the year 2026, we cannot split a bill, especially when the pricing is per person. It just doesn’t help the fact that this location has workers that are looking to scam you. Food was good, would be hard to mess up serving acceptable meat. Atmosphere was bizarre, complete silence in there, no music. If you’re going here, just be careful + attentive to your receipt.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible Went for lunch about a week ago with my family at 11:30am. Right off the bat the waiter was rude and didn’t take our order, no sides or sauces were out ready to go. Typical when you go to kbbq the sauces and sides are ready, for some reason the table are always never ready. Then we order and the waiter said we are out of mashed potatoes and rice paper. This has been the 3rd time we go there and this a happened. Don’t have items but expected to pay full price. Lost my business, will never go there again. Do better management

The experience was so chaotic. The staff were running around the entire restaurant, i do understand it was busy, but they all looked so lost and kept bumping into eachother. The meats werent that good and the bulgogi tasked old. The trays they bring the food on are all so dirty. The floors were extremely slippery, you have to talk really slow and they have wet floor signs all over the floor. It looks like they are having plumbing issues or something. It felt like such a dirty environment.

This is the worst chick fil an I ever been to !! I ordered two number 1’s, a large one without pickles, and one regular, and I received just the chicken, no bun at all. I also received a medium drink instead of my large drink. When I told someone about the mishap of my food, he told me I heard y’all talking about no bun on the sandwich… why would I order a sandwich without a bun? I would’ve just ordered tenders or nuggets. Also, I asked for sauce with “both meals.” They put 1 chick fil a sauce, 1 Polynesian, and 1 honey mustard. I will NEVER come back to this location ever again!

Ima dasher in local area and every time I come here to pick up orders for YOUR customers you guys ignore more for more than Five minutes every time as other customers are not. You guys see me there and don’t even acknowledge that i’m there until I ask ais the order is ready! So better for your local Dash customers guys. Cuz I do let your customer know that their food is late because I don’t get the courtesy other walk up customers get. Do better guys!!!

We live nearby so this is our go to cfa store. EVERY TIME we go, they mess something up. Forgot a drink, forgot some sauce, forgot a whole salad. Really disappointing if you order drive through and find out some things are missing only when you get home!

I normally don’t do this but after this morning and how I still feel regards what happened, I feel I need to say something. I went to check the reviews and I saw similar opinions and I think is just too much. As community we deserve good quality in what we consume. This type of things in a restaurant is unacceptable. After my daughter saw this into her food I couldn’t eat anything else. I went and they just change the box, who can trust in this place again? They don’t even offered a refund. I’m totally disappointed.

Really getting tired that they keep messing up orders. Last time they forgot one order of fries. Today they forgot one sandwich. It's really frustrating that they are so hit and miss. But lord forbid you ask for too many sauces. They get stingy about the sauces. How about instead of worrying about the sauces yall do better about making sure orders are accurate?

This location makes the most mistakes in all of the Chick Fil A locations. Always always check your drive thru orders. The drive thru moves really slow too. They need to get training done by the Sienna location or something.

The people working were not listening to the orders correctly. And we waited to start ordering in the drive thru for 5 minutes after a car ordered before not even a minute later. It is 8 o clock in the morning and they rang me up for French fries……. I ordered 2 chicken mini meals and they didn’t give me the hash browns.

I have a really bad experience with this branch of a Chick-fil-A. I went through the drive-through. I met the guy he took the order from me. I went to the window to take the order. I found them asking me again for the second time after waiting then I gave him the order for the second time he moved me forward to wait for the second time order after this the guy come to me with a wrong order And he asked me for the third time for my order. I told him thank you Where is the manager the manager came to me and his name is RJ and he was so cold He tried to convince me that this is normal that he takes the order from me like three times. I asked him again for the second time. Is this normal to take the order from me three times to make it and he said yes I said OK. I need my money back and this was my first and the last time to come for this Branch. So after waiting for 15 minutes parking my vehicle in the sun, this was the answer from the manager

I got sick after eating a salad from this Chick-fil-A on May 18, 2025. While eating at work, I ate a few cherry tomatoes and noticed one tasted strange. I then saw that the last tomato was visibly moldy and rotten. I stopped eating immediately and submitted a complaint with a photo. The next day, I developed stomach pain, which worsened into severe vomiting and diarrhea. I had to go to urgent care and missed several days of work. Chick-fil-A forwarded my case to their insurance company, which denied responsibility, saying the photo “wasn’t clear enough” and the tomato only looked “less fresh.” I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability and poor customer care. Food safety should be taken seriously. I hope this location—and Chick-fil-A as a company—reviews their food handling procedures and does better in responding to valid health concerns.

Went through the drive through and after driving away my son told me that they messed up our order. Drove back to the location and let the lady in the drive through know who was very sweet and offered a refund on top of correcting the order. I get around to the pick up and they seem confused still on how to get my order right. Asking for the food back that they gave us on accident then telling us to keep it then screaming across the parking lot that they weren't giving a refund. First of all, I didn't ask for a refund and it's not my problem that you are incompetent on getting a simple order of 2 regular chicken biscuit meals and 1 spicy biscuit meal executed correctly. There were zero special requests...this was standard menu items. But to get an attitude about it was uncalled for. I will not be back to this location. And I called corporate to let them know how awful this location is. They need to protect their brand reputation. You expect a certain level of service and this wasn't it. And then when they finally got the order correct, the biscuits were stale and the tater crowns were soggy AND they gave us mostly ice instead of a drink.

This is the nastiest Chick-fil-a I’ve ever been in. I normally dine-in when I go to Chick-fil-a so that my kid can play and normally have no issue with cleanliness. But it is very difficult to to enjoy the visit when there’s trash everywhere and none of the tables are cleaned. The trash bins are full. Oddly enough, they have cleaning supplies out at each napkin station. I guess customers are expected to clean after themselves. It’s so strange because it’s not busy at all and the workers are just standing around in the kitchen. Also the fries taste like they were fried in old grease and the bread on my sandwich was hard.

Received 1/2 of a box of a large order of fries, 10 instead of 12 chicken nuggets and the wrong dressing for a wrap! This Chick fil A apparently has a problem with fulfilling orders correctly as mentioned in other reviews.
