⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely perfect breakfast experience! 🥞✨ From the moment we walked in, the energy and environment were warm, inviting, and buzzing with good vibes — the kind of place you want to linger over every bite. The food and drink menu is amazing, with options that range from hearty classics to leaner selections that still feel indulgent. 😍 I’m obsessed with a “fancy breakfast” and this place delivers — creative dishes, fresh ingredients, and beautiful presentation. Bonus: breakfast cocktails are next-level delicious! 🍹🥂 The service was top notch — friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from start to finish. Highly recommend for brunch dates, weekend mornings, or anytime you want a standout breakfast.
Although the wait was a bit long the savory meal was worth it. I had the Cathead Chicken biscuit, my lovely Bama Beauty had Huevos Rancheros in grits. Our drinks were a margarita and a screwdriver which both tasted very well.
Mya did an excellent job, as our first time here, she was patient and answered all of our questions. Offered suggestions and kept a watchful eye for needs like refills, ect.
Good breakfast spot. Had about a 30 min wait for a table. Friendly staff that was very attentive to our needs at the tabke. Food was fulfilling. Ham and cheese omelet was very tasty with a hearty amount of ingredients insie. Would definitely visit again if provided the opportunity.
Went on a Friday, was about a 25 minute wait but WORTH IT! the ladies at the front were very helpful making sure my father got a table downstairs and even chatted with my kids while we waited. I got the Cathead chicken biscuit and oh my! Very yummy, so glad we came!
Never disappoints! Great food, service, atmosphere always! I eat here every time I come to get chemo infusions ( once a month ). I also 🩷 my BBB t-shirt~ < kiss my grits >.
When a restraunt has a wait for their breakfast you know its going to be good. We had their fresh squeezed orange juice and their chicken biscuit. It was so filling that we couldn't eat the whole thing. The staff was great the food delicious. Will definitely be back to try something else.
BBB has NEVER failed to disappoint. The food is phenomenal. You can tell everything is made fresh. The drinks, they’re delicious and strong. The staff every visit has been super nice, and extremely helpful. 10/10 would recommend time and time again.
This morning a friend of mine took me to eat breakfast at the Big Bad Breakfast in Homewood. We were pleasantly surprised how busy they were with the weather being so cold. We were greeted immediately upon entering the establishment. We ordered our food, which was absolutely delicious. Will, the general manager, checked on us frequently, the coffee refills kept coming, and the staff was very attentive to our needs. Everything is made fresh every day. They do not just serve breakfast, but they serve a variety of foods and even cater. You can order ahead of time, eat in, or have your food delivered. I highly recommend any location of Big Bad Breakfast because that’s what it was! We ordered the big bed breakfast: two eggs, meat of our choice, grits, and the biggest biscuit I’ve ever seen!
Coming to a place with a name like Big Bad Breakfast, I expected things might get a little messy. I wasn’t disappointed. I’m talking about on my plate, not on the permanent surfaces. This was my first time, so I got a standard southern favorite: a ham, egg, and cheese biscuit and coffee to my liking. The coffee is outstanding, and my biscuit sandwich was so tall, they had to hold it together with a giant toothpick. I took a few bites holding it in my hands, but soon realized this was going to be a knife and fork meal. Absolutely delicious. The country ham tasted like it was straight outta Conecuh, or wherever they smoke hams nearby. They did me right. Gonna bring the fam here next time.
Had to drive to Birmingham for follow-up on retina surgery. Follow up visit was near BBB so we decided to pop in. Big? Yes. Amazing portions. Breakfast? Yes. Delicious food served fast. Bad? I can”t agree with that part. We now know where to go for breakfast on future trips to the city.
I’ve never been a huge breakfast guy, but I’ve got to say that’s all changed. I was feeling a little adventurous so I ordered the French toast and I must say it was exquisite. My service was incredible. I want to give a Big Bad shoutout to Luke. He was an incredible server and really made my experience as good as possible. He was quick on refills, extremely polite, and a very put together young man. I will definitely be returning here soon.
10 our of 10. We hit this place at THE best time bc when we left the line was down the side of the road - people waiting in the rain!! The table ordered a wrap, a sandwich, an omelette and just a scrambled egg platter. Everything was excellent. The potato cakes we delicious anddddd the biscuits were INCREDIBLE. I took the biscuit home and ate it later and you could just taste the scrumptious butter - even cold. Could not recommend enough - just do yourself a favor and GO EARLY. Food arrived timely and the staff was very kind.
Delicious! Two teenagers and I give it five stars on our foodie list. Growing up in a place like Savannah Ga with so many good restaurants, I am not a picky eater, but a picky foodie. If it is not good I will say so. The atmosphere was great and service was wonderful. Definitely going to be on our list when we drive home to see family in Georgia.
This place is amazing! The food was superb, the atmosphere is nice - music was loud enough to hear but quiet enough to have a conversation. Our waitress was wonderful, attentive, and polite. Definitely will be going back and 110% recommend this place. You will need to budget wait time when planning a visit here especially on the weekend. Well worth the wait!
An AMAZING breakfast!! The big bad skillet had ham and sausage and egg and onion, and then topped off with freshly shredded cheddar cheese. They cook their eggs in butter, which makes a huge difference in taste. House made bacon, jams, orange juice and biscuits were chef’s kiss! 😘 I saw a carton of Florida oranges being toted over to the juicer and couldn’t resist. Some of the best OJ ever. You could taste the fresh blueberries and blackberries in their jams. The honey was a rich local honey. You can even get their fresh squeezed OJ to go in a glass bottle. Clean friendly environment. Loved this place and will happily stop by when in Birmingham again.
Do not go on the weekends unless you want to wait for seats and like extremely loud atmosphere. We tried on a Sunday and there was a 30 minute wait list. We were able to go back today, Monday, and there was seating readily available and it was not loud at all. There is seating downstairs and upstairs. We went upstairs and it is really nice up there. We got different dishes today since we had gone to the other Big Bad Breakfast on Hwy 280 the day prior. Again the food was delicious and the service was quick (12 PM time frame). Thanks to our server for recommending other locations we could go to see and shop.
Mya, provided amazing service. She made sure to keep checking in on us. She asked several times if we enjoyed the food and made wonderful recommendations. I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles with the local honey drizzled on top. I even had the homemade biscuits with several samples of jams. Try the peach jam! It’s AMAZING!!!! Great experience m!
Sunday morning with this crew was well worth it. I enjoyed my chicken and waffles with Vietnamese coffee. Hubby devoured flapjacks with a couple of eggs and veggie sausage. Food was on point and so was the wait staff. They were friendly and helpful the entire visit. Be advised: the Homewood location has limited parking. Suggestion, go on the weekend and parking won’t be a problem.
My family and I wanted to meet in Birmingham Alabama for breakfast. This place was hands down the neatest places I have been for breakfast. I had the "Redneck" breakfast. And my wife had the Avocado toast. Both were out of this world. I would recommend getting there early or prepare to wait a good 20 minutes for a table. There is plenty of seats but it's packed.yes, it's that good.
The food was really good. The atmosphere was nice as well. We sat at the bar to avoid the wait. There were approximately 8 to 10 people behind the bar, and it was super busy. That is no reason to be rude. The employees behind the bar were simply not friendly. I asked one waitress if they had silverware. She asked if I needed silverware. I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t need silverware. One gentleman was simply unfriendly. He was working super hard but an acknowledgment to asked question would be courteous. I advise waiting for a table for a possible better experience.
Had the French toast the taste was good but def left me wanting more bread in my dish but I did enjoy it the pancakes were very good just on those too much to eat they will def fill you up if your interested in a sugary treat and to top it off the biscuits and gravy were a wonderful taste I highly recommend the biscuits! The environment was nice however certain floors are only available by stairs has bathrooms on each floor aswell
Unfortunately, our experience at this location on Christmas Eve was very unwelcoming. When we asked the hostess if we could sit at a clean table that was available, she immediately cut us off and said we “didn’t fit.” I explained that my youngest baby 5month old would be sitting on my lap, but she continued to insist we couldn’t sit there and told us our only option was to wait or take a table where the sun was shining directly in our faces. I kindly asked to speak with a manager three times before she finally pointed him out. When I asked the manager directly, he approved the table right away, which made the situation even more confusing and frustrating. The hostess continued to be rude afterward. When I asked for menus, she told me to “go sit down” in a dismissive tone. I asked for her name twice so I could address the issue properly, but she ignored me completely. At that point, I chose to sit down rather than escalate the situation further. The overall atmosphere felt cold and uninviting, especially disappointing on Christmas Eve. Even the manager seemed unhappy to be there. While our server was more pleasant, the initial interaction set the tone for the visit. We regularly visit the location on 280 when we’re in town and have always had a much better experience there. That location is friendlier, more welcoming, and noticeably cleaner. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend this location. Picture is of hostess that may need to brush on her customer service skills. I worked as a hostess for a couple of years and what she did was not it.
