One of those unassuming places you drive by and go, “I wonder if they have good food,” or “I bet they have good food.” Well, they do. Little place in an old strip mall tucked behind a gas station off Beach Blvd. Easy to overlook as you zoom by on the way to/from the beach or are sitting in traffic, but do yourself a favor and stop. A few tables, counter service, really good food.

OMG, everything is 100% Real Authentic Mexican. **Mexican Light** Ok let's get started, the Refried Beans Light and Airy, Not Heavy same for the Mexican Rice. Made Perfect with just A pinch of Salt The Salsa is 100% Fresh Full of Fresh Diced Tomatoes 🍅 Onions, 🧅 and Cilantro with a Little Green Onion as Well. *Insane Delish w Super Fresh and Thin Fried in Super Light Oil Tortilla Chips. Now it's time for the Supreme Light Taquitos "Beef" **Note the Color Of The Shredded Meat in the Light and Airy Devil's. Honestly the Best Dam Taquitos I've Had in Like 40 Years. So Light, So Tasty, So Crispy I Died when I Bit Into the First One. Meat choices were Shredded Seasoned Chicken, Shredded Seasoned Beef and Potato. Also Notice the Super Fresh Guacamole 🥑 that had the Right amount of Fresh Onions, Fresh Tomatoes and Fresh Cilantro too and Very Light Sour Creme as Well is served on the Side**All served on Fresh sliced Iceberg Lettuce 🥬. The Green Chili Verde Pork was Tender and Delicious the plate is served with your choice of Super Fresh and "Very Hot to Touch Tortillas" wrapped in Foil. I have Already mentioned in previous Reviews I am a 100% Italian Born Native of Sicily Italy. I am the Son of an Incredible Real Sicilian Chef **I Know The Best-Real Food** when I See It and It Hits My Pallet. The Difference between this Tiny, Drive Right by It In A Second Hole in The Wall and The Horrible "Moreno's Mexican Food" off Main and Beach is Honestly Night and Day. The Food Here was Absolutely Freaking Incredible Fresh, Light and Damned Delicious. I Ruined my Diet here and Went To Heaven Eating Foods Reminiscent of Being Served the Best of A Tiny Beach Eatery on The Beaches of Ixtapa or Cancun. I and not ashamed to say....well actually I am Like when I was a Young Italian Boy and my Nana said "You Eat Every Speck of That Food" there are others in the World Starving so You Make Sure your Plate is Spotless Clean. And like I Said I Ruined My Diet because there was Not A Speck of Food Insight..LOL 😂 P.S. A Review for Mario's Mexican Food Huntington Beach Mentioned How Incredible the Salsa was. Salsa is chunky and fresh! We had a grilled fish taco, shrimp taco, Baja taco, California burrito and a chicken hard taco. Everything was super delicious, very flavorful!

This place is so good. Wonderful service. The horchata is the best I've ever had. I would go just for the horchata. Seriously! The portions are really big and the nachos had lots of cheese, guac, and sour cream. The home made salsa you get when you eat in is so spicy and flavourful. I wish I could buy a bucket of that as well. If you are in the area you have to try this place out! I will be back!

The food is absolutely delicious! I order her almost every week and get there 15$ 2 beef/chicken enchiladas with double rice instead of the beans. My husband gets the same thing and we love this place so much. Their horchata is also very good without ice. 10/10!

I've been coming to this place for about 10 years maybe more, moved away for a little so it's been awhile. Back in California and made it a priority to make this trip. This is my absolute favorite spot for chips, salsa and my pork chili verde. The staff is sweet and friendly. Still my favorite spot. Just sad coming back they now charge for their chips and salsa and there's no refills.

Good food here! The cheese enchilada was the best I’ve had in this area, the beans were very good too. I thought the beef tamale was good but not exceptional. The sauce that covered the tamale and enchilada was very good! The chips and salsa were tasty but not very spicy.

This was one of the better taquerias we've been to. My husband was extreamly happy with his chile verde plate. I got an enchilada and hard taco. The shredded beef had a good flavor, but the red sauce for the enchilada was not for me. Next time I would order the green sauce or pick something other than an enchilada. Rice beans chips and salsa we all good as well.

i had a carneasada burrito the beans rice and cheese were good the carneasada tasted like propane like most other places. there was also a big piece of fat in there that disgusted me .if you like propane flavored meat then thisnis the place for you, it could have been the greatest burrito but as usual these places fail at cooking the carne asada. its either dry, taste like charcoal or taste like propane, or the quality of the meat is bad
