I got a bacon egg and cheese Mcgriddle and it was very good. However, I was shocked to find out that it cost over $5.00. This will affect my decision as to whether or not I buy anything at McDonald in the future. Your prices have gotten way too high.
Just came to bring my son to eat here a little 1 on 1 time. And the staff was very nice and the food was great, shout out to Maria who worked register she was respectful and very nice...she's a keeper...♥️
Food was fast but if it's past 11 and your trying to but the strawberry cream pies don't bother unless your tryna wait 15 minutes they'll usually say they have 1 left and if you want more you'll have to wait I've been to about 6 McDonald's in past years and they've said the same thing evwrytime everyone lol
BREAKFAST!!! This location in particular has a wonderful drive thru staff. They're always busy on weekend morings but they're super fast and always friendly and get our order right. In fact the ONLY time they got it wrong was when they added too many hashbrowns yo our bag!
Hadn't had a problem since my happy meal incident where I decided I wanted to be 6 and have a pokemon toy and they gave me something else. They're pretty solid on the orders, especially in a breakfast rush. Thanks for feeding me so much.

I've been to MCD's across the country. This location in Lubbock Texas on the south loop 289, was the cleanest and most friendly location I have ever been in. They are differently a five star. Happy eating.
Everything is always on point when i eat at this McDonald's from management to employees i never go to any other because the atmosphere is nice! The employees make the place what it is so if the drink machine is down or the restrooms are out of service it's because the owner dosent wanna spend the money to fix the issue! Don't blame the people smfh blame the owner!!!
I don’t know who the GM is in this place but he’s got to be a rock star - this place is run like a chick fil a fast fresh friendly clean - #1 way to see if a McDonalds is run properly is if the fries are still hot and salted properly. They have a special salt pour device that measures it perfectly but most untrained employees think it’s too much salt and stop. The fact that theirs is always perfect means they’re getting trained by a man who cares deeply about the process and that’s something that is near and dear to my heart.
We loved the service . Everyone was very polite . I think the lady's name was iesha, she was very nice and professional! Breakfast was delicious thank you .

They actually stay open for burgers and fries food past 3:30am unlike every single 24 hour McDonald’s here in Lubbock. Always get attitude from other McDonald’s, but not this one at this time of night.
This McDonald's is probably the cleanest best run friendliest workers and best food quality as well as accuracy in Lubbock, that I've experienced. I usually come here on Sunday mornings. And if you can get here about 8:30am, there's hardly a line. But today at 9am oh boy, there's a line. But like I was alluding to earlier, this is the best run McDonald's in Lubbock, and they got through, and I got out of there in 10 to 12 minutes. So congratulations to this McDonald's.
I stop by at the one on S Loop 289 every other day. I like going inside to order my coffee, there is always this young girl with a great attitude and a beautiful smile.
The manager or shift lead took my order, she was very friendly and patient. I had asked for a thing of pickles from the first window and they did not hesitate or ask questions. I got my food and it was hot and neatly arranged, I appreciate fast, friendly and efficient service!
Stopped in so my family could get lunch, they were busy so we went inside. Took a bit to get our order but it was correct except some other customer took my water and they thought I had it already. The missing star is for friendliness of the staff. No one looked like they wanted to work in food or customer service and they acted like it too. But they were busy, so maybe it was just from the rush.
We just ordered drinks. One caramel freppe and one hot chocolate. The hot chocolate that I ordered was not good at all. I had to let it cool off. Then when I took a drink it was awful. All it was hot water and melted cool whip. Someone didn't put the cocoa in it. However I called the restaurant and talked to a manager. He was very nice and refunded me my money.
It's McDonald's excellent as always and the ice cream machine is always on in this location. I appreciate the free refills on my senior $0.86 coffee and will always be grateful for the extra attention to my creamers and sugars.
This store has improved and the service is fast depending on the time of day. At night the wait time can be pretty long in both the drive-thru and the lobby, so if you are pressed for time don't stop here if the line is really long. Customer service has always been good for me.
They still have that wonderful Micky D's cuisine, but we still didn't get napkins or the sauce which we Asked for the sauce, but shouldn't napkins be given every time unless the customer tells them they don't want them, I don't know maybe it's just me🤔🤨and the one speaker I went to either wasn't working or they just didn't want to answer us or something, cause I was plenty loud enough. Oh well, the food was good, maybe next time?? But, we always seem to have troubles with this one...I would recommend going to the one on the interstate & 50th, they have their stuff together & generally friendly!
everytime i go to this one it’s always someone having attitude. The manager doesn’t even look the part. Food is alright Customer service is awful and things are always forgotten. Un expectable hire better people
Would be solid 4 maybe even a 5 stars except for the experience I had tonight. Usually the service is great. Food is always hot and fresh and I can’t remember the last time they got my order wrong. But tonight was different. I pulled up in the drive they and was told to please wait, so I did. Another driver pulled ups to the other window, got a response, made and order, and drives on thru. This happened a second time so I said hello and the response I got back was yes please wait. So I pulled back and drove thru the other one and got my order in. Then I experienced a little attitude at the window. I’ll be back but tonight was weird. Didn’t feel good.
Usually they're pretty good at taking the orders correctly. But today I ordered a sausage egg McGriddle and a coke with no ice went to the window to verify they changed the sausage McGriddle to a sausage egg McGriddle charged me for it and whenever I got my order the coke had ice and it was a sausage McGriddle with no egg. Edit; so I had no problems after I made this review until today when I ordered a sausage egg biscuits and the egg had a bite out of it.
Some of the employees here are very friendly and courteous. Most, however, are often more interested in joking around with each other or texting than helping or even greeting a customer standing in line. This location tends to have one of the longest wait times of any location and frequently doesn't get an order correct and/or can't fill an order due to being out of an ingredient or a machine out of order. That may seem like any McDonald's being described, but this one seems to be a little worse than the majority.
Most recent trip was disappointing. We were missing a nugget from our 6pc Happy Meal. This location swings from good to below average depending on the day
This location needs cones in their drive thru.. There could be a long line and everyone cuts to the second line.

I was very disappointed. I ordered an ice cream cone. I asked for a large, they gave me a tiny cone with hardly any ice cream on it, prices have gone up,it wasn't worth the price I paid, plus, the girl employee had no gloves on, used no napkin to hand me the ice cream. Had I known all this would happen, I would not have gone there. This took place in Snyder Texas. Come on managers, train your staff better, that was unsanitary the way she handed me the cone. At the moment I felt like just getting a refund and forgetting all about it.
This was my main mcdonalds to go to. Recently, they've been getting my order wrong every time I order online or just forget part of my order entirely. Check your bags before you leave!
We pulled up to order and no one responded and we had to speak up after about 5 minutes and the guy the responded didn’t act like he cared about his job he was rude and we parked while eating and even the cars after us had wait a long time before the person on the other end said something but everything else was fine and the people that gave the food were nice but the guy taking our order didn’t act like he wanted to be working. We didn’t like this visit.
They were busy but all I ordered was a 6pcs. Kids meal and had to pull off to the side. Then I get home and my 3 year old does not have fries in her kids meal. Its not that hard. I worked in fast food for years.
I have been to the loop 289 and University location about 3 times over the last year and it was dirty each time. The employees continue to discuss personal matter with other employees or customers while taking your order. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. The food was accurate and arrived in a timely manner.
This is one of those McDonald's where you have 2 lanes for ordering that converge into one lane, and people are always trying to cut in line from the other lane, so then when you get to the window they always have the food out of order and try to give you someone else's food. This only happens here. I've never had it happen at anywhere else with 2 ordering lanes like Chic-fil-a.
Food was as good as you would expe t from a Mc Donalds. I used drive through and after a pause from the employee of 3 minutes of silence, I was able to provide my order. Once at the window to pay, I provided a $20.00 bill to pay for a meal of 10.16. The cashier entered I gave $30.00 and panicked because he had no idea how to give correct change. I, as a customer, had to e plain basic money handling to a person how is paid to handle money. I advised the amount to return to me and explained how the till would not be off because it thinks the overpayment of 10 was returned to the customer. The cashier has an automatic change dispenser that he pulls from and places into the till. After outting the change dispensed into the till, he would pull from the till to give to me. Once I got to the pickup window, no one was present. A young lady approached and look at the screens, was confused and asked her fellow employees what I had received thus far. I advised I had recieved nothing, she asked again to her coworkers what my order is and then the coworker cleared the screen of orders that were not cleared when divered so this young lady could see what she needed to hand out. I get the impression the employees here need serious training on how/what the job duties are and how to comete them accurately.
Guessing the employees don’t know what extra ice means😒🙄 Ordered: 04/15/23 came inside ordered just a 4 piece nugget and a small French fry. I waited almost 15 mins. Probably one of the slowest mc Donald’s ever that I’ve been not(not just in Lubbock but in general) employees slow. Really no point in putting a review on Google because management doesn’t even look at this!
Ordered delivery twice from here for dinner, and both times they have gotten parts of our order either completely wrong, or just flat out missing. The wrong food had stuff pit on the burgers that my family and I expressly said to keep off due to food allergies, and this 2nd time around that we thought to give them a chance, they completely forgot to add in our nugget sauce and nuggets we had put on the order, but they still charged us for the sauce!!!! Never again.
You definitely have to check your food at this McDonald’s. Ordered a sausage biscuit 2 hash browns and a sweet tea. Biscuit was hard, needed to be thrown away along with sausage patties, and the tea was unsweetened. Cooking way to much food on a snowy day and still serving it to customers just to preserve food cost and waste.smh.
No one I tried to communicate with inside the store could not speak English clear enough to understand. They was not able to take the order correctly. Because of their lake of attention for the customer. The cashier had no clue and didn't care. The food was cold you can tell it was nit taken out in time to heat as should.

By far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to and I grew up in Detroit. I ordered 4 McChicken's with extra mayo and 2 frys. When I got the order they had hardly any mayo so when I went up there and asked then to fix it they said "I'm not remaking anything" and walked away until the manager asked what was wrong. She had to make them remake the order and in clear violation of food safety (even though I was about to throw out the 4 wrong ones) made me give them the 4 wrong ones and put them in a different customer's food for drive through. That's disgusting and I will never eat here again nor did I eat the food I ordered besides the fries. I am reporting them to the Food Service bureau because that is far from safe
It never fails. 9 out of 10 times they get my order wrong and drive through takes 14 to 20 min. It's faster for me to go out of my way to a different location I stead of waiting, getting the wrong order then wasting more time getting the correct order.
Place hasn't improved at all. lady at the drive thru repeated my order yet still forgot some of my food. On top of that the sandwiches were all left without lettuce. I feel like i am wasting my time at this point making comments, because if the place hasn't changed in 8 months then I can't help but question if it ever will.
Terrible experience at this location. The girl at the window was extremely rude to the point of having to make a complaint to corporate. No action was really taken from the GM and I did not receive a call back from the GM. Unfortunately this location has lost my business. Do yourself a favor and next time you are planning on going to Mc Donald’s go to a different location. It will save you time and Annoyance
Drive thru attendant did not care to secure the lid on my steaming hot coffee. It spilled all over me and the inside of my car. Burned me pretty good.
Went through the DT and they forgot 1 of the meal. So, I had to go back up there. Didn't have issues picking it up. But then when I got home of course my meal is now cold. Your fries are not good when cold. Also, I order a 6pc nuggets and got only 4! I'm not going up there for a 3rd time. Of course when I try to call (4 times) no answer. Absolutely the worst mcdonalds
I'd give it zero stars if I could. The staff working the drive through are rude and very unprofessional. I asked to change part of my order and the lady taking it told me no and to drive up and change it at the first window. So after waiting in line forever I did just that. Then I got to the second window and sure enough after I get my order it's wrong. I let them know and she had the nerve to tell me to either go home and call about it or get back in the drive thru line! It's always something with the rude staff here and nothing is being done to fix it. But I bet if enough people get treated poorly and people quit coming here they'll address the issue then, right? Because that's when it affects their money and THATS when they care!
Ok so basically the store says it’s open 24hrs and we pulled up expecting some sweet succulent fry’s but no. The door was locked and all the workers were just standing there looking at us like we were some zoo animals. The drive threw was blocked off by cones and disappointments. 0/10 would not recommend going.

My group has been visiting this location for about a month now and the service and food is only getting worse. Today alone we had stale buns on almost every sandwich, raw meat in one burger, burnt fries with one order and cold fries with the very next one. Waited to order so long I sat down on the floor, then got blasted with questions about me taking pictures? The only reason I would ever go back is because of the exemplary service given to us by Rhonda. I was advised there is a new GM at this location and I hope he/she finds a better job so they aren’t stuck in that swamp excuse for a McDonald’s
I ordered a 10 piece chicken mcnugget meal great that it was all there but it was cold. My wife ordered a Mc chicken sandwich I payed in full but didn't get her Sandwich. Had to get back in line remind you it's a sigal lane. Took 9min to get the chicken sandwich with out a sorry or thank you. Don't even deserve a rating
Just left this location got home and realized I did not get any fries I ordered for Happy Meals. Also they forgot nuggets in a Chicken Nugget Happy Meal, and no dipping sauce either. To make matters worse no receipt was given to verify order so now I need to waste more time, gas and money to get what I ordered in 1st place. Tried to call but of course line is busy.
Employees were super rude. Both while taking your order, and when paying. The paying window was closed, so was the second drive thru. So the line was huge and took forever. They either need a whole new staff or better trained employees.
These ppl always get it wrong. Drive thru is just plain simply horrible. Every time I get home and see all orders wrong. Especially when you get charged for a more expensive item. I'm tired and don't want to go back. Come on, ppl get right. 82nd and Slide location can teach yall a few things.

They have you pull up to wait and we waited 10 minutes before having to go in and gey our bag of food ourselves after 4 people went through. All we ordered was a mcdouble, 4 piece nugget, and small fry along with 2 double cheeseburgers, and a small fry. There's a lady with a rat on her shoulder waiting for food. While the staff laughs and doesn't ask her to remove the rodent from a restaurant. Worst place I've ever been in my life and completely disgusted by mcdonalds the staff and this lady. If anyone from mcdonalds wants to contact me and give me my money back and some money to eat at a mcdonalds without rats let me know. I'd be more then willing to share these with the news or the health inspectors or everyone on planet earth.
I had a mobile order this morning not even 15 minutes ago I picked it up, wrong sandwitch I ordered a saus. Age egg mcmuffin with no round egg there's a sausage mcgriddle with egg and I'm assuming extra cheese and the wrong drink i ordered Dr pepper pretty sure its a diet dr pepper..... I call and no one answers 2 times i called... If you can't follow what a screen says then you clearly need to find other employees its not hard or even to check your foid before handing it to the customer!!!!
Have I place an order and it was nine dollars by a time we got to pick up a order. They didn’t give me the right order and they were still charging me five dollars extra so they didn’t give me the Right order and not even the money back what we paid, and the manager was real. It’s not often that I leave a bad review, but this one was warranted. They initially got my order wrong so I corrected them at the payment window. Then they still gave me the wrong order, but after watching one of their employees opening coffee packets with their teeth I decided not to press the issue. I will NOT be eating here again.
Ordered takeout. Person that took order was rude. When I went to window to pay for my order she had bad attitude, probably having bad day. Ordered two, Egg McMuffins, and asked if she was having bad morning cause she was rude. When I tried to pay for order she refused to take my debit card. She told me to go and “have a good day “. I went to next window and she had cancelled my order. I spoke to a manager and I told her that I just wanted my order and wanted to pay for it and she was nice and took my order and debit card. I never got an apology for the incident. I have always been a good customer of this store and didn’t deserve the service I received.

Would have been better served spending their remodeling money on staffing. At least half the time they get the order wrong, last time I had to bring it back and they got it wrong a second time. When I said still wrong, the manager said the worker was pregnant and I should go somewhere else. I assume they are understaffed and underpaid but as a customer it just leads to a bad experience.
On Oct 14th night around 12:40 person who was taking orders for drive thru was very very rude. Very disrespectful. if you make our order wrong or missing items ok but you talk disrespectfully while taking order is not acceptable. will never go this location.
They lost my order. I talked to 4 people who made it seem like I was lying when I said that I ordered from them. I had ordered thru the app and had a receipt. I asked for no salt on my fries as I’m pregnant and trying to watch my sodium levels and my fries were SUPER salty. It’s always a hit or miss at this location.
Got food online and tried to pick up the food only for them to tell me they tossed it out! I didn’t know there was a rule about picking it up as soon as you order it. Asked for a refund but couldn’t do that? Ask for the food to be remade and they couldn’t do that either? They were the ones to toss the food but I have to buy it again? Got the new food I technically got twice! Very rude workers and having this happen I expected to have fresh food at least! I’m very disappointed and I will be calling corporate for something they did.

Went to this McDonald's yesterday, I ordered my food online. They were supposed to bring it to my car. Instead they had me wanting in my designated spot for for 20 minutes. When I realized they were not going to bring us our food I went inside to get it. Not only did they not have all of my order ready. I had to wait for them to cook our fries. I soon realized I was not the only one who was waiting. There were four other people who were going through a similar situation. They were more focused on the long drive through line outside their store to focus on their online orders and customers inside. The manager didn't care about anyone and it showed. Because of this, we missed the first part of the movie we were going to see. SMH
At 11:25 pm 02/25/26 I am an Uber driver. After getting no service at the front and going to the drive through then being directed back to the front I was approached buy a frustrated manager. A Mr David. He frustratingly told me that he has asked for the button not to be multiple times, I relayed to him that I had not been asked such, being unfamiliar with the button and mentioned I had not seen a sign of any sort. The frustrated manager Mr David then fully refused me service. Is frustration has taken an order from me
Terrible every single time I go which is not often. I sat at the speaker in silence for almost 10 minutes so I just pulled up to tell them my mobile order. Gave me Coca cola instead of Dr. Pepper and put BBQ sauce in my bag instead of ranch
I waited twenty minutes in curbside, and somehow my order (one snack wrap and a medium fries) came out cold, while the drive through line kept moving. I complained about the fries and they brought me a replacement that was even worse than the original.
They remodeled and took away the soda station where you get your drinks and get refills. I walked in and walked right out since they don’t have the free refill and went to Wendy’s. Cheap owner trying to make more money by taking away free refill.
Absolute GARBAGE of a McDonald’s!! Was in line for forever and an associate puts a cone to cut the line off without telling anyone so people continued to wait not knowing what was going on! My poor son kept asking when he would get his happy meal and ended up falling asleep before we DIDNT get to order. Absolutely ridiculous
Ordered fresh fries and the fries I received were hot but unbelievably stale and tough. My best guess is that they re-fried old fries since they weren’t even crispy like if they were just fried too long. Wont be coming back. It was with their night crew 12/19/25
Placed an order inside and waited almost 30 minutes for our order after handed out food we were missing several items. Then waited another 10 mins to get help and our food.
Ordered a Big Mac combo and a quarter pounder with cheese. The drink came with no straw, the Big Mac didn't have anything but cheese on it. It was completely dry and the quarter pounder with cheese was undercooked with pink meat. Complete disaster. Nothing was right except for the french fries. The rest of it went into the trash. How do you screw up an entire order where everything is wrong? Pitiful!
Had ordered a plain burger with just cheese and they left paper inside the burger. I called to talk with someone about it and who ever answered the phone was not friendly and when I went to the store the manager did not come see me to check my order or to apologize. This McDonalds needs new management and an inspections. The food and service here is absolutely ridiculous. Only the cashier was friendly, and concerned bout what we had in our food.
I placed a mobile order and went through the drive through, which took a little while to get up to the window but it was busy so I didn’t think much of it. However we get our food and two of our meals were wrong, decided to park and go inside to get it fixed as I had caught it after I drove away from the window. My mobile order was placed at 5:35, I was there by 5:40, went inside at 6:05 or 6:10 and didn’t leave until 6:25. Nobody would come up to the front counter to help anyone for a good little while. The man finally came up, I let them know the order was wrong and asked for it to be fixed and stood there waiting for far too long. There were others waiting for simple things like drinks or refill. Another couple stated they were there for 35 minutes waiting on a small order. The guy who was working the front counter was moving so slow like he wasn’t even trying to take care of anyone in a timely manner then whom I believe to be a manager finally came out and asked me what I was waiting on and I let him know 3 more times as he had to ask more than once what I needed and it was a simple kids cb plain and dry. I then asked for fresh fries as ours were sitting in the car getting cold after waiting all that time, he then proceeds to ask for the original fries so they can “throw them away” before I could get fresh ones. Very dissatisfied with our service here tonight, I didn’t get the name of the possible manager as he was not wearing a name tag.
This McDonald’s is absolutely horrible! My family came in and were forced to order at the kiosk because there was nobody at the front counter. We ordered and waited almost an hour to get our food. There were also multiple people also waiting for dine-in orders and for DoorDash. Multiple customers were complaining to who I’m assuming is the manager about how long their order was taking and she really did not seem to care. Mind you the lady who was complaining ordered after us and she got her food before us. When we FINALLY got to talk to someone, they were moving like a sloth and didn’t seem to care. We finally got our food but missing a lot of food items as well as our drinks, straws, and sauces. By the time my husband was able to sit down and eat his food his food was cold. We paid over $40 for cold food and horrible service. First and last time coming to this McDonald’s.
Closest location but I honestly don't think I've ever had fresh anything from here. Food has always been cold and not fresh at all. Service is not much better either. Lots of attitude. Do better guys.
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel like people need to be warned about how unsafe and poorly managed this McDonald’s drive-thru has become. I’m a 41-year-old mom of two, and I stop here occasionally after picking up my son from school because it’s right along our route. Unfortunately, after today, I won’t be coming back. The drive-thru setup here is completely inefficient and chaotic. Cars keep cutting into the second line, completely bypassing everyone who’s been waiting patiently. Today, one driver ignored the cones and came within two inches of hitting my car just to jump ahead. Three more cars followed right behind him, doing the exact same thing! It’s absolute mayhem. No staff outside directing traffic, no signage that actually prevents this, and no sense of order whatsoever. I shouldn’t have to worry about my car being damaged or my child being scared just because we’re trying to grab a quick meal. I have Dash Cam footage of what happened, and I’ll be turning it over to law enforcement. It’s unacceptable that customers are put in dangerous situations because entitled people don’t honor the line and management doesn’t enforce basic order. McDonald’s, please fix this before someone gets hurt. Until then, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. — Maria
I just left from this McDonald like 15 mins ago. When I got home I looked in the bag. I didn’t have the box for my fries I had my fries thrown in there. Thank you night shift yall doing a good job.
Almost never any cashiers available since the redesign. Often watch the crew just goofing off with each other while I wait to order. Tonight, I used the kiosk to order instead. It didn’t print my ticket, so I waited at the register for a while. Someone finally came out to ring himself up. A woman came to process the transaction for his employee meal. I asked her for my receipt since it didn’t print. She said they were too busy to print my receipt. 🤦♂️ There was a guy who didn’t receive his ice cream cones in the drive-thru. He came in to get them and waited over 15 minutes for 2 ice cream cones several employees just sat there joking around with each other.
They’re probably the worst location in town honestly. They don’t have a soda fountain/ ice machine in the lobby, the service sucks, their drive thru is slow and to make themselves not look slow to Corperate they just pull every single car to the side and walk the food out even though it’s usually 10-15 mins from the time you order to the time you get your food and leave. Terrible.
