1st time visit, celebrating my birthday. I can't say enough about Sicily's. From the awesome staff, and amazing food. My waiter went above and beyond. Everything was top notch. I bragged about the restaurant for days. Thank you all so much, my family and I really loved it and made my birthday the best. Highly recommend and We will definitely be back.
This is my second time coming to Sicily. The first time I got a mashed potato pie. It was excellent. Today I got a chicken and bacon pizza. I wanted to try one with sauce. It was phenomenal. Not my #1 place, bit damn good. They can definitely hang with New Haven places. The wife got a short rib dinner. She said is was excellent. My only gripe is that I dont live close enough to go more often. Will definitely be back. I forget our waiters name. But he was great too.
Amazing from the moment you walk I. The door. Friendly staff clean and welcoming environment. The pizza was great!! We had the YOLO the crust is perfect! Our waitress I believe her name was Ashley was the best. Our food came out fast . Definitely will be returning soon to try more on the menu so many different choices.
First time visiting this restaurant and I enjoyed it very much. Large food portions, food was tasty and full of flavor. Excellent waitstaff and cool atmosphere. The restaurant had a band playing that was very talented. There is also a wine bar attached to the restaurant. Overall, a cool vibe.
Next time I will try and sit down to enjoy the food. Tonight was take away and by the time I got home 30 minutes away, wish I had stayed at the restaurant. Pizza was very good. Calamari very good but will ask for aoli on the side. Kitchen is very professional and the place is popular for good reasons.
Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten in my life! Absolutely love the coal fire taste and toppings. My favorite place to dine in, and try new things!
My friend and I went for the first time yesterday and we walked into a nearly empty restaurant so we were a little leary. But we were waited on by a most gracious and friendly waitress and the food that followed was delicious! Definitely will drive the 45 minutes to come back! Well worth it!! And by the time we left the place was packed👍!
We went here to get a coal fired pizza for dinner tonight. We ended up getting the Buffalo Wings too. Both were very good in portions and in regard to flavor/taste. The service here was great. We were seated quickly and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. The place was clean. We parked in the parking lot in the back and found a great parking space, that was conveniently located near the rear entrance. We were seated near the area where the pizzas are made and I can tell you that the gentlemen making the pies were very busy and were working like a well-oiled machine. We will definitely be coming back in the future as we noticed many other great looking items coming out from the back, including, but not limited to these crazy big, side mounted pretzels… It’s not my thing, but I noticed the menu had both vegetarian and vegan food options available. The area is great. There are lots of shops and places to check out, even in the evening.
We celebrated a birthday downstairs in the Speakeasy with about 30 guests: the food was wonderful as we expected, since it always is, but the thoughtfulness and service was spectacular! There was more than enough food for everyone, and it was served hot and nicely cooked. The bartender was so pleasant and attentive! We brought in our own Cake which the server delightfully lit; There was music, our choice, and we were encouraged to modify the selections. They made sure allergies and dietary restrictions were respected. All said, we’re lifetime fans!
My husband and I came here as it was one of the recommended spots by our wedding venue for a rehearsal dinner, and fell in LOVE with this place. The service is friendly, timely, and kind. All staff walks around to and from tables with a warm welcoming smile on their faces. They all look as though they love their job, which I can appreciate being in the industry. The pizza may be our new favorite pizza spot, and will certainly be returning regularly. The burgers were massive, and wonderful. Drinks were also great. Fair pricing and comfortable seating. Overall, great experience.
The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt like a taste of authentic Italy. The bartenders were phenomenal; friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The sangrias could be a little better, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. You can tell they really care about creating a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had such a wonderful experience! Our waitress was incredibly personable and attentive, making the evening feel extra special. The pizza was excellent with so many unique options to choose from, and the salad was fresh and delicious — the balsamic dressing was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, and having a live piano player made it even more memorable. We’ll definitely be back!
It doesn’t matter whether you get a pizza to go or dine in and listen to fabulous music on the nights they have entertainment they make you feel welcome! The service is great and the food delicious. My recommendation is the pepperoni, Margherita or the veggie pizza. Every dinner in there is very good. Great meatballs, you name it. Today I called and ordered some pizzas and Sabrina was very helpful and actually let me send a photo to her to figure out what Pizza I had taken a picture of when I was there. MANGIA!
Today, The Slice Mob had the absolute honor of lunching at Sicily Coal Fired Pizza. We’re a group of lifelong friends whose bond goes back 50+ years. Every month, we gather to share memories, laughter, and—of course—amazing pizza. I’m beyond blessed to have these friends in my life. Sicily is a cool spot located right on Main Street in Middletown, with the bonus of super-convenient parking by their rear entrance. No need to drive in circles scouting for a spot—huge win. We arrived as they opened, with a few early birds already enjoying their food and drinks. By the time we left, the place was hopping—almost like Times Square on New Year’s Eve, but with way better pizza (sorry, NY) 😂. Nine of us strolled in unannounced and were immediately greeted by a friendly host who quickly got us set up. Our waitress, Dana, was incredibly patient and didn’t miss a beat, even as we took our time deciding on our pizzas. We ordered a variety of pies, and while I couldn’t physically try them all—believe me, I wanted to—everyone raved about their choices. It’s safe to say we made the right call coming here. As for me? Of course, I ordered two pizzas. Why wouldn’t I? First up was the New Haven—a thin crust with red sauce and Parmigiano Reggiano. It was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of smoky char. The sauce? Perfection. Not too sweet, not too acidic—just balanced in every way. I always judge a pizzeria by their most basic pizza, and this slice passed with flying colors. With one slice down, it was time to move on to round two. Choosing my second pizza was tough. Two options caught my eye: the Broccoli Rabe and the Spicy Sicilian. Since I can be a little spicy myself—and my family hails from Sicily—the choice was obvious. The Spicy Sicilian did not disappoint. Thin crust, perfectly charred, with an incredible sauce as the foundation. Topped with mozzarella, salami, cherry peppers, and a drizzle of agave, this pizza was a masterpiece. Thankfully, the pizzaiolo had a light hand with the agave, striking the perfect balance between spicy and sweet. Too much could have ruined it, but instead, it was absolute bliss. There were plenty of other tempting items on the menu, so a return trip is definitely in order—I’ve got my work cut out for me. All in all, it was another fantastic lunch. The pizza was perfect, the service was stellar, and the memories shared with lifelong friends? Priceless.
Great food, service was great except they brought only half the table's food out and we had to wait a few minutes for the rest to come out. It was pretty loud so made it a bit difficult to have conversation but otherwise a great experience! Highly recommend the sweet potato Poutine and carrot cake!
Our family of six, ages 8-55, ate dinner at Sicily Coal Fired Pizza. We had a great time and enjoyed the lively, modern atmosphere. What impressed us the most was the EXCEPTIONAL service. It was the best service we've had the pleasure of experiencing in quite some time. Our primary server, Mars, was sweet, professional, and genuine. We never had to wait for drink refills, extra bread and butter, etc, and she was on point with a few additional menu/food requests. The other wait staff members were great as well. Our dishes were cleared promptly, and we were checked on frequently without being intrusive. Where our experience fell short a bit was the actual meal. Although we appreciated the quality and quantity of the food, it did not seem to warrant the pricing. The homemade pasta had a nice texture, but the vodka sauce was lackluster. I was personally disappointed with the Not Your Tradition’ Bolognese. The "seasonal" spices were a turn-off for me. Mars asked immediately if she could replace my meal. The Mozzarella, Ricotta, & Prosciutto di Parma Stuffed Grilled Chicken Breast was decent, but not a favorite. We did enjoy the bread, sweet chili wings, garlic bread, and drinks. My son loved the house lager on tap. The Gnocchi La Sicily with an additional meatball was excellent. My youngest son rated the pepperoni pizza a 4.5/5. He gave the bread a resounding 5/5! We will definitely be back, especially now that we have a better feel for the menu. Again, I cannot stress how amazing the service was which is hard to find these days.
Great pizza spot in Downtown Middletown Ct. the food was a little slow coming out which is why they get a 3 out of 5. People that ordered after me got their food before me. I got the eggplant which was really really good and we got the whipped ricotta , which was equally as delicious. We went to celebrate a friend’s milestone, and there was about 25 of us. I don’t think they have a lot of experience catering to large parties. All in all, everyone seem to have had a good time and love the food.
Disrespectful and Unprofessional Customer Service I am writing this because I was deeply hurt by the way I was treated today while trying to place a takeout order. I called to order the Sicily Hot Chicken Pizza and asked a few basic questions about the ingredients. Thinking she had hung up the phone, the person taking my order began mocking me to her colleagues, calling me "a pain" and complaining that I was "asking 100 questions." It is incredibly unprofessional to belittle a customer for simply wanting to know what is in their food before purchasing it. While my husband went in to speak with the manager—who apologized and gave us a free pizza—the emotional hurt remains. We didn't want free food; we wanted to be treated with basic respect. This experience has completely ruined our appetite and my view of this establishment. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures their staff understands that customers should never be the subject of ridicule.
Do NOT trust their food if you have celiac disease, or any allergy for that matter. I had been told, by a manger specifically, that they would clear a section in the oven for the gluten free pizza and use a clean paddle/knife, which I am comfortable with. When I tried to order again, I was told "this was never the case," and they have always cooked every gluten free crust with the rest of the pizzas. I have had celiac for 5 years and I don't expect places to bend over backwards to accommodate, but be honest! If the pizza is not safe, do not lie and assure me it is. I will order something else happily, but now I find it hard to trust any of your "gluten free" options. Do not eat here if you have any type of allergy. Also, $8 for a gluten free crust is absurd. Side note: I have had good experiences at the bar and in no way mean to complain about the bartenders. They are great.
