Great place, especially in a highly caffeine- fueled school town. In six years, and this very location; which has single handedly caused my and my family's complete addiction. Whether mobile or in person ordering, they don't miss a beat or an opportunity to fix something if there's a mistake or problem. They're my #2 location after 211 East Middletown (because NP is no longer in my direction to work and Grad school. The 211E can be 😎!!!)

I've come to this Starbucks every Monday through Friday for the last year. All the Associates are awesome, they all know my name, they know what I want my order prior to me stepping up to the register if I could give them six stars I would!

If you like Starbucks, well here is another one! Nothing special or outstanding to make this one stand out from the thousands of other locations. It's nice to know though exactly what you will be getting when you are traveling and need a drink and a bathroom.

I'm a frequent customer of this location. Staff is always friendly, even when busy. They are always good about making sure my drink is prepared correctly given allergy information.

I went to Starbucks with a friend. I usually get coffee at Dunkin Donuts, local stores or make it at home. If you like a regular cup of coffee try the Americano, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Consistently good Blonde espresso. I much prefer this over Mudd Puddle or Village Grind. My taste runs to Cafe Normal (Park Slope,) Intelligenstia (Venice Beach,) and Partners (née Toby's.) Also, everyone here is quite friendly and helpful. I do wish they had better baked goods.

Tom is the absolute best! My production team and I came here for a week straight while working on a documentary in New Paltz. Every order was always correct and great serve was given!

Honestly some of the nicer Starbucks baristas I've ever met. All I got was a cold brew to walk with, but they cheered my gloomy morning up just being themselves. I was met with a smattering of friendly chit chat and a hand drawn smiley on my cup. Perfect way to start the morning. Thank you folks! I would like to thank Josh the shift manager who was the kindest person today when I placed my order for a large cold brew with half and half and when I went to pay I realized that I had left my wallet locked in my son’s dorm room. He said that it wasn’t a problem and paid for my coffee. I said that my husband was just outside and I would be back to pay for the coffee and he said it was his pleasure. I did come back to pay but they wouldn’t let me pay! This was truly the best thing that has happened to me as I witnessed a terrible accident on my way to see my son🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

When I went I spent about 15 minutes waiting for 2 drinks.. they put all their focus towards mobile orders and not the customer in the store.

It's interesting how the cost is different in different areas.

Staff is helpful and tries to accommodate the customer. In house consumption is still not available to the public. There are outside tables.

They never serve the coffee types I like, always need to ask for a pour-over... but those never taste as good. Pike's Place needs to be replaced already. Wish Starbucks would offer more Verona or Sumatra during busy times or while out at night.

Starbucks in general isn't the best place to get coffee in the Hudson Valley, but if you do want Starbucks in the Hudson Valley for some reason, I can't think of another one that could even possibly be in the running for best to visit up against this one. This is one of those Starbucks locations so nice that it tempts people to like Starbucks, which I guess is the company's whole business model.

Got a great parking place but when I ordered my peppermint mocha frapachino I was told they didn't have any peppermint, that was a bummer, but the toasted white chocolate frapachino was good. Service was great

This Starbucks offers Fair Trade coffee and great staff. It's a comfortable atmosphere with outdoor seating.

Delicious coffee and very nice staff. It's my favorite Starbucks store in NY area. Though its snacks are really average, however, it doesn't matter to me at all. The very reason that I took one star off is that they install a coded lock for its restroom and require a password for customers whenever they need to use it. I only asked for once and since then never stay there more than 5 minutes after bought a coffee.

It is small starbucks at the curbside , parking is available on the streets , there is no drive thru . Staff is very helpful and courteous and quick service. It has good indoor dine in space .

I've had good experiences and bad experiences. I love this Starbucks, but there are 2 new baristas who get my order wrong every time. I mobile order, as well, so I can pick it up and get to school or work on time, and I don't have time to wait for them to remake it when they mess up my drink. I think the training for the new baristas can be better. Tired of my money going to waste.

Drinks and food were good but for some reason the person at the register and her other co-worker laughed at me after I made my order right in front of face :( I’ve never have had trouble with the people who work there before then but just with those two girls in particular

The parking situation for this Starbucks is a bit awkward and there isn't much space to sit, but if you're just looking for that Starbucks hit of caffeine or tasty treat. Think of it more as a stop and go kind of situation.

Order pretty much daily as I work on main street, ordered light whip and got a ton, as well as a non full cup. Pic is 1 minute after pickup, drank none. like 1/4 of my drink I’m not getting. Been a repetitive thing , can we fix this? Specifically why I wanted light cream not 3 inches of it

The employees often ignore you when you're picking up mobile orders here, and the drinks are always ready behind the counter so you just have to sit and wait to be acknowledged. They need to put mobile orders NOT BEHIND THE COUNTER like at every other Starbucks if they can't acknowledge the customers. There's no issue with customer service at literally any other location in the Hudson Valley. It's also too small, usually not clean, and the bathroom is locked and not accessible. It's the most unwelcoming Starbucks in the area.

I'm really disappointed because they made a mistake, my son ask for a decaf coffee and by mistake somebody gave him a regular coffee he almost die that day and he doesn't want a complain, so please employee be careful and be concentrate.

The coffee is too expensive the pastries are too expensive and the last time I was in there you needed a code to get into the bathroom. I ordered blonde coffee and very light, my coffee is undrinkable, has coffee grounds in it, and not very light or even light and they used milk not heavy cream.

February 2025 Update the quality of Matcha drink. I got it twice, 2 cups each time. All 4 of them never mix well. The first time I got it in the morning. Understandable it might be during rush hour. But today I got it in the afternoon. Mobile order and not busy at all. The drink is horrible. I never have this problem from other branches. Today is Veterans Day. We asked them about it. Staff had no idea about the special offer for veterans. They should have been more prepared about it. Don't feel welcome here at all. We also asked for a pup cup. Normally, it's always nice, but look what I got today. Is it because I got a free tall coffee? That's why I should get a bad batch of whipping cream?

They need to fix their Google map profile because I couldn’t get anything due to there not being a drive through even though it lists that there is a drive through. I had to drive to a totally different Starbucks with a screaming child in the backseat 🤪

I don't go to this store.. Starbucks is overpriced and not that healthy for you. You want to go to a coffee shop go to a local coffee shop. Not and overpriced money greedy store.

15 minutes and a remake and I had to settle for what muck they made me. One of the guys literally said “what is this drink?” like what the hell are you making. If you’re in a hurry, do not stop by.

They were out of the puree to make my drink but let me order and pay for it anyway then made it with a juice instead. Tasted like just cream. He did give me another drink instead but should have let me know they were out of what the drink needed. Shouldn't have charged me for something they didnt have. And was very slow.

Don't get coffee here. You're in an artsy town with cool coffee shops. Only sucker tourists and people who don't know jack end up in Starbucks. If you fancy yourself a chump, feel free to get your coffee from these bloodsuckers. Otherwise keep it local.

Starbucks uses the most dystopian, reprehensible union-busting efforts imaginable to terrorize their staff into submission. I read about this in the Guardian, if you want to learn what's happening up in Buffalo, google it. Every time you buy a coffee at this joint you're rewarding a really evil company -- personally I will never drop another dime in a Starbucks, even if they reverse course and try to spin it somehow. The buck has to stop somewhere. There are several good locally-owned coffee houses in New Paltz. If you vote for Bernie and buy yourself a mocha in Starbucks, you need to wake up and get educated about what's happening.

The worst Starbucks in the Hudson valley. We live in Highland and rather cross the bridge to Poughkeepsie than deal with the rude non service from the New Paltz starbucks. Plus half the time they don't make the drinks right. Is service with a smile it a lot to ask for? If you're miserable at your job stop doing it! Life is short and it might be even shorter if you're rude to my wife again.

3 times I have made online orders, I get to the store and let an associate know what my order was. Just too stand there for 10 minutes and watch everyone that comes in get their orders before mine even get started.

Worst Starbucks I’ve ever been at. I ordered 2 espresso Frappuccinos, I had to throw them away and buy new ones, Roget actually made me pay for it. The drinks didn’t taste like coffee at all. The new drinks were just as bad. Absolutely disgusting. I threw them away too. $50 later I left this location looking for another coffee shop. Stay away!!!

This place is just hostile. At first I was told that only service animals were allowed but assumed without asking that my dog was not a service animal. Then the policy went to “no animals allowed” and that I could not be served or pick up an app order as long as I had my dog. I walked in in the middle of a very important phone call that I couldn’t focus on because the manager would not back off from harassing me about my dog. The place had zero customers and everyone seemed like they hated their job. Every other Starbucks I’ve been to welcomes my dog with attention and a pup cup. I wanted to cancel my order, because I was upset, but the manager said he couldn’t cancel an order that was placed through the app. I walked outside and tied my dog to a post and went back in complaining that my Americano did not taste right and wanted a refund. Another employee was easily able to scan my account and process my refund. The Americano tasted like warmed brewed coffee.

They encourage dogs inside this food service establishment. They have a whole bulletin board dedicated to how they let dogs into their cafe…. The same cafe where they are cooking food and making drinks. There was even a dog in there when I came in and not one employee said a word about it. They must know this is against New York State law. And absolutely disgusting, too.

I can't understand why anyone would choose any Starbucks over the much more appealing local coffee shops, such as The Bakery in New Paltz. This particular location used to be comfortable and cozy as well with some couch-like seating, large and small tables, and lots of seating nicely scattered around. I have lots of memories of meeting up with friends here during my college years, and I always enjoyed the vibe. Now, most indoor seating has been removed, and it has a very empty, cold, bland feel to it. The little outdoor patio is nice in the summer though. It's also no longer possible to go to the little island and add the toppings, cream, and/or sugar that you want, as well as grab a napkin or two. None of that stuff is available any longer. I've noticed the same issues at other Starbucks across the country, so it must be corp-mandated. Can't imagine why. The local coffee shops offer all of that and more. And, they always have better-tasting coffee and deserts, and lower prices. But, most of all, they're as cozy and comfortable as Starbucks USED to be. And, you can actually add your own sugar and toppings to your drink. Imagine that!
