Opinions de Starbucks New York
Such a great place to explore, we found this by accident after visiting Chelsea Market, we visited the one in Seattle and now the one in NYC. We love the atmosphere here and the vibe. Such a great place to hangout and enjoy good company or great place to go if you are on a solo trip. So many delicious drinks and treats to choose from. We wanted to sit and enjoy a cocktail so we went upstairs to reserve a table. The wait was only 30 mins, the service was great and friendly. The desert was delicious and the drinks were tasty. Can't wait to go back.
Starbucks Reserve Roastery New York is a completely different experience from a regular Starbucks — it feels more like a coffee theater. The space is huge, beautifully designed, and filled with the sounds and aromas of fresh coffee roasting right in front of you. Watching the roasting process, the copper details, and the open bars on multiple levels makes the visit immersive and exciting. You don’t just drink coffee here — you experience how it’s made, from bean to cup. The coffee selection is excellent, with rare Reserve beans and creative drinks you won’t find in standard locations. Everything is crafted with care, and the quality really stands out. The food is also surprisingly good and pairs perfectly with the drinks. Despite how busy it gets, the atmosphere remains vibrant and inspiring — a great place to take a break, meet friends, or simply enjoy being surrounded by craftsmanship and design. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in New York, especially if you appreciate coffee, architecture, and unique urban spaces.
We visited the Starbucks Reserve and had such a great experience! The drink that stood out to us the most was the Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew — it was absolutely amazing! Hands down the best cold brew I’ve ever tried. The flavor was smooth, bold, and had such a unique aroma. Highly recommend it if you visit! We also tried the Cold Brew Trio Flight and the Origin Flight, and both were really good. Each coffee had its own character and depth, and it was fun to compare the different notes and styles. You can really taste the craft and quality that make this Starbucks Reserve special. The atmosphere is very cool and inviting, especially around the roastery area where you can watch coffee being roasted and even try some samples. They also have a great selection of limited-edition souvenirs, like mugs and tumblers that say Reserve New York. Perfect for collecting or using daily. The staff were amazingly nice, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Even though the place was packed (it can be hard to find a table since there are so many people), everything still felt organized and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience — great drinks, great people, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in New York and love coffee!
☕ Starbucks Reserve Roastery New York — Coffee as High-Tech Theater This isn’t a café — it’s a live coffee laboratory ⚙️. The moment you step inside, metal, motion, and light surround you 🚀. Beans fly through transparent tubes overhead, roasting drums rotate like futuristic engines, and everything glows under warm industrial neon ✨🔴. It feels engineered, not just designed. Screens, pipes, polished steel, precise timing — a caffeine control center 💡🎛️. The aroma hits like ignition 🔥, and the space hums with quiet energy 🌌. You’re not just ordering coffee here ☕ — you’re watching it travel, transform, and land in your cup like a controlled launch 🛸. Bold, immersive, unforgettable.
I loved this Starbucks! So cozy and nice. Service is great, barista was very friendly. I’ll be back soon 🔜 to get this amazing mug!
Wow!!! An absolute must visit place in New York — Starbucks Reserve Roastery. It looks like Starship 🚀, not only Starbucks😁!!! Amazing merchandise with the brand’s logo, a huge selection of unique gifts, music, a fireplace, and incredible desserts.... Coffee made from rare and unique beans from all over the world👌💎 This is not just a coffee place it’s an experience you want to stay in☕💖!
Went it fairly early, so no crowds. First time at a reserve Starbucks and it was so fancy. 3 levels inside with a bar up top. They have specialty drinks you can only get at reserve locations so it worth popping in of your in the area. Vast amount for baked goods for a snack alongside your favorite coffee.
Starbucks Reserve Roastery New York is an amazing with unique experience. The space is stunning, with beautiful design and multiple levels to explore. The coffee is high-quality and expertly crafted, with unique drinks you won’t find at regular Starbucks. The atmosphere feels lively yet relaxed, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. A must-visit spot for coffee lovers in NYC! ✨
A very relaxing morning here, just watching the time goes by. It was pretty crowded but still has sufficient space to chill and relax. The coffees were great, especially the Whiskey Barrel Aged Cold Brew. The best of both worlds! Almond Croissant was good yummy too. Special shout out to Elliot for making this visit a fabulous one. His explanation and service standards were outstanding and really made us feel at home. Thanks Elliot.
The Starbucks Reserve Roastery is a Starbucks on a completely different level and I would recommend coffee lovers to go to experience it. First of all, the atmosphere and style of the store is fancier and amazing - the staff are welcoming, lots to see like the roasting machine to all the various merch that features local artists or New York exclusive designs. The food showcased was fresh and made in house + there were menu items that aren’t in the regular Starbucks. Even though it’s simple, the herb croissant with prosciutto was amazing and as I had ordered the flight of hot cocoas (seasonal menu), the savoury sandwich was a great companion to the sweet. I also ordered the whiskey barrel aged cold brew coffee which needs to become an official drink - one of the best tasting coffees I’ve ever had, the coffee was so smooth to drink with the scent and taste of whiskey (alcohol free). They add a touch of vanilla syrup which adds more flavour to the whiskey coffee. Highly recommend and would love to try some of the experiences one day!
Definitely recommend to visit. We visited in the middle of November. Only 6 locations like that in the world. Not your typical Starbucks experience. Food is exceptional! Huge choice of exclusive merchandise for purchase. You will not find this merchandise selection online or in a typical Starbucks store.
Such a great place to visit. I went at 2pm on Sunday and was able to sit down right away in their upper bar. They had the holiday Espresso Martini Flights and it was such a great experience. All the martinis were amazing. Highly recommend to anyone visiting and wanting some great espresso martinis!
Great vibes, music, atmosphere, the decor is super cool and especially the Great Great service you will receive from all the staff here, Arriviamo Bar set up, decor, cocktails are amazing. Definitely a place you can spend so many hours and vibe all day, I love the unisex restrooms concept. Starbucks Reserve Roastery New York city is the place to get your matcha and cool cocktails if you love coffee, if you don't drink coffee, they have options as well.
Come here for an amazing Starbucks experience. We popped in a little early before the bar opened but had an amazing light breakfast! Tried the seasonal Pumpkin spice latte which was delicious. The almond croissant and breakfast harsh with eggs just simple went so well. Then I finally found the Starbucks Reserve Roastery flask. Perfect to store a coffee or whisky while on the go!!!!!
Located near Chelsea Market and the Google headquarters in New York City, you‘ll find Starbucks Reserve Roastery New York, a unique Starbucks location. Unlike typical stores, this location offers a hands-on experience with the coffee roasting process and offers a variety of specialty coffees and cocktails. It also sells special items like limited-edition reusable cups and tumblers, making them popular souvenirs. The spacious and unique interior makes a visit a truly special experience.
This was my first visit to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in the U.S., and it was absolutely amazing! The place isn’t just about coffee — it offers a wide range of food, drinks, and even coffee beans sourced from different countries. There’s also a beautiful bar serving a full selection of liquors, which adds to the experience. I tried the tiramisu coffee, served in a ceramic cup with an elegant embossed “R” chocolate on top, and also enjoyed the squash and ricotta bread. The space is huge, with plenty of seating options. I chose a cozy spot near the fireplace — perfect for great photos! Definitely a must-visit spot.
This place is cool. I walked through here out of curiosity back in 2017 because it was so big and I wanted to know why. Unfortunately my husband and I had just eaten and didn’t partake in the amazing looking food back then. This time, we went hungry. We got a couple croissant sandwiches, a doughnut, and a cookie. They were all phenomenal. I got a sandwich that had prosciutto and parmigiano reggiano and it was absolutely delicious. The sandwich, sauce, and arugula on it all worked very well together to make a very satisfying breakfast. The doughnut was a blueberry cake with a hard purplish blueberry icing on it. It was soft, moist, and it could melt in your mouth. The chocolate chip cookie was rich, chewy, and had almost a carmelized texture. Customer service was on point too! The girl who took my order was kind, fast, and smiled. We’ll keep returning here on future trips.
This was my second visit to Starbucks, and I love stopping by to check out what’s new. I always make sure to bring home a Starbucks mug as a little souvenir. The food is great, the place is usually nicely busy, and it’s just a really good spot to visit. I especially enjoy watching the coffee being made — it’s fascinating to see the process up close. Overall, it’s a cozy and enjoyable experience every time!
More than going to a cafe, this is an experience. The place is really really nice, big, and with many unique areas that make it really standout as a place for coffee lovers. The service was really good (all staff members were super nice). As for the coffee, you have different options available, I would give it an overall 7. If you go downstairs, you can even order chemex or drip coffee, and the capacity to choose between 4 different grains. I chose the New York one, which was ok (but not super super good). Would recommend to visit this place at least once!
Impressive and beautifully designed space with multiple floors and a lively atmosphere. Great place to experience specialty coffee, unique drinks, and fresh bakery items you won’t find at a regular Starbucks. Very popular and busy, especially during peak hours, but still worth visiting for the experience and ambiance.
Just wow—this Starbucks Reserve space is impressive. Every time I visit, it’s buzzing with tourists, kids, and New Yorkers alike. The first few times I came here, we stuck to coffee, and it was definitely delicious. Today, though, we decided to switch things up and enjoyed two glasses of red wine, along with a croissant and a tiramisu to share. Was it expensive? Yes. Was it tasty? Absolutely. And the ambiance? Lively and energetic. All in all, it was well worth it—we had a great time.
Plenty of seating sections to choose from our reserve a VIP table. The bar wraps around the majority of the floor, so be on the look out for people finishing up their drinks and/or pastries. We came is a group of twelve so finding a space where everyone will be together was a concern. Good thing demo by the lower section was wrapping up and we were able to secure the oval table that happens to accommodate all of us. Perfect timing for a good cup of hot beverage and ample selections of seasonal food, pastries, and sandwiches from their Experience Bar Menu. Overall great and cozy ambiance with well curated treats for a variety of pallets.
Food: 3 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 3 Stars Sanitary: 4 Stars Overall: 3.8 Stars This was my first time visiting a Starbucks Reserve Roastery, and it truly set the bar high in terms of atmosphere. The space is absolutely beautiful and incredibly expansive — you can easily spend a good chunk of time just exploring all the different sections. What makes this location stand out is that it’s far more than “just a coffee shop.” They offer an impressive range of food, specialty drinks, and coffee beans sourced from around the world. One of the highlights for me was the stunning bar area, fully stocked with a wide selection of liquors you’d never expect to find in a Starbucks. It really adds a unique twist to the overall experience. Service was exceptional, all the staff members were all so incredibly nice and friendly. I think I also came at the right time as they had holiday decorations out. All so pretty! That said, I think I may have ordered the wrong thing when it came to food. The sandwich I had was unfortunately a miss — overly salty and just very average for the price point. The seasonal hot chocolate was enjoyable and comforting, but not quite the mind-blowing experience I hoped for based on the hype. On a more positive note, the assortment of souvenirs and coffee beans is exceptional. You can pick up blends and gifts from locations across the country, which makes it a fun spot to shop for something a little more unique. Despite the food hiccup, I’d absolutely come back. The space, the drinks, and the overall vibe make it worth another visit — and next time, I’ll definitely try something different on the menu. xx kellychan360
So, this was the first Roastery I've been to (I've now been to 3) so I came here on a return visit with my family. Immediately, I loved how not busy it was, probably because we arrived late morning on a Monday. Also, the gorgeous holiday decorations were so warm and inviting. We were able to find seats for all 6 of us Immediately. I will say the whole "experience" of ordering, shopping, getting the food eating the food, etc. took us a couple of hours. The service was slow even though it wasn't that many people there. We sat in the Arrivamo area and though they sell the same foods as the main area, they told us they were out of things that they had. Fortunately, the upstairs area was able get us the food that we actually wanted. Also, we did have great service from the lady at the coffee grinding area and one of the bakers. Though this was my first Roastery of 3 and holds a special place in my heart, it's now my least favorite due to the small size and service. Overall, I still recommend a visit to experience a roastery especially if you've never been before.
Location & Vibe: I had a chance to visit this massive Roastery, and the location is perfect—right next to Chelsea Market. It’s an easy stop to add to your Meatpacking District itinerary. Merchandise: Even if you aren't grabbing coffee, it's worth a visit just for the shop. They have really nice merchandise, and I ended up grabbing some exclusive New York items that you can't find at regular stores. The Highlight (Traveler Tip): Honestly, the best part for me was the facilities. The bathrooms were incredibly clean, which is a luxury to find while walking around the city. Verdict: I didn't try their drinks this time, but as a pit stop for unique souvenirs and a clean restroom, it gets a thumbs up.
The black coffee was mediocre. They've got a lot of interesting looking pastries and drinks, but they're all $15-$25. I'm the kind of person who will spend $40 to try a really rare and interesting pourover, but not to try some souped up normal starbucks drink. The cocktails also look interesting but run $25-$35 each, so I guess maybe stop by to grab one while bar hopping? That all being said, the environment is pretty cool. They've got a bunch of roasters and stands to sell various things. There are two coffee bars and the bar bar up above. The coffee bar on the lower level had all sorts of fun, more retro equipment and the staff was making coffees and bringing them around as samples. The staff were all very pleasant. I just didn't enjoy the black coffee anywhere near as much as other places around Manhattan.
It was ok. I am too used to the one in Tokyo. There weren’t any roastery worth merchandise to buy. Tried New York blend coffee which was good and light which is ok for late afternoon. But overall good experience!
