Wow a friend recommended it and he was right it was yummy! 🙏🏼
Very yummy and friendly service. Best Indian food I've tried in mexico. Maybe a little heavy on the cilantro.
The best Indian food in Mexico, it was truly amazing, delicious.
I just ordered a chicken madras from tomato.mix and I cannot believe how good this curry was. I’m not going to lie, this is maybe the best curry I’ve ever had in my life. The flavors were intense and you can tell this was freshly made. Like, wow. The naan bread was also one of the best I’ve ever had. Amazing, no wonder they have full 5 stars, I cannot recommend this place enough.
The true Indian cuisine in Tulum! We've organised a private curry party with their catering. The food and service was top notch, very delicious curry and ice cream with Indian spices. Excellent value for money too. These guys have opened just a few months ago but will definitely rock Tulum soon :)
[Delivery Review] Best Indian food I've had in Mexico so far. Flavors felt authentic. Of the dishes we have tried, our favorite was the Chicken Tikka Masala. The Butter Chicken was also good, though a tad sweet relative to the tikka masala sauce. Palak Paneer and Paneer tikka masala were also delicious - the panela cheese reminded me of halloumi. Bonus point: one of the few restaurants that support online payment on Tomato delivery platform.
Best Indian food in Tulum! We didn’t expect such authentic and flavorful dishes here, but it was absolutely out of this world.
Delicious food, friendly staff, and fair prices! We had cheese samosas, chicken samosas, and chicken tikka masala. Yummmm. Only con: They ran out of naan at 7pm on a Thursday and no places to eat there or sit really.
Tikka masala, Garlic naan, goat cheese, potato and chicken samosas (had to try them all- they were all good) The masala was a beauty-perfectly spiced and seasoned- chicken was tender. Naan is wonderful and samosas we’re fantastic as well. Definitely try this restaurant - it’s well worth it and can’t wait to try some more dishes!
Danke :-)
I love curry, and I often order it in LA, but this actually is so deferent, you can tell that they are using authentic Indian spices. Very rich flavor, just wish that the chicken was more tender not so dry, seems overcooked and hard. But the curry is great.
Hands down the best Indian food you’ll find in tulum! The palak had a complex sweet and spicy taste that gives some of the best Indian food that I’ve had in London or NYC. The samosas were also lightly fried and tasty as well! If you need a change of cuisine from the typical tulum fare, I’d highly recommend giving this place a try... it may be the best kept secret in tulum. The wait time may be long but it’s certainly worth it.
41/2 years living in Tulum and we finally found an Indian take away😁. Ordered potato samosas...crisy wrapped not the heavy dough some places use. Chicken Madras and Potato Madras...excellent flavour and texture of gravy, plus lot's of it. Comes with rice. Naan bread was nice and stretchy ( is that a word? ). All in all a great dinner and we will be back. Thank you 😁.
Shocked at how tasty the food was, the flavors were so perfect and you can tell that it was made and packaged with care. I ordered the goat cheese samosas and paneer tikka masala- both were 11/10. I’m Indian myself and I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant, they really nailed it!!
Excellent food and great service. We will be back :)
Best Biryani ever! And we’re from Hyderabad. Thank to the chef for making us feel at home in Tulum.
Great Indian food in Tulum! Fresh, tasty, and such nice people. I ordered the Butter Paneer and it was soooooo delicious! Highly recommend to get your curry fix!
For sure the best Indian food in Tulum. As legit as it gets. For sure the cook is Indian. I know cause I’m Indian. Chicken Madras and Butter Chicken both are great. There rice is legit basmati.
I saw the reviews and wasn't convinced when the restaurant asked me to order online. Safe to say that we were incredibly pleased with our order. The food was fresh, full of flavor, a good sized portion and a good price. This will be my go-to the next time that I'm in town.
The best Indian this side of India , based on the amazing curries of Britain’s Indian community and their recipes . You will not be disappointed . I order every 10 days and love everything in the menu . Can’t wait until they open a restaurant !
Wow! Authentic Indian food in Tulum! Great find. Just opened 3 months ago so they are still setting up, but for all the locals who want takeout, this is very convenient and great food.
I am obsessed with the food here! Once a week I have delivered the butter paneer & also order raita & extra basmati rice to make a cucumber salad with. Amazing cuisine!!
You can see why this place has such high reviews - really speaks for itself. When it comes to food, I usually order modestly from most places, but this is one of the few I love to splurge and order a ton of dishes for myself. Quality, taste, price, service are all too notch !
I was extremely happy with their service and food was good. We reached there just ten minutes before closing the restaurant and kitchen was already closed. They still did cooking for us and it was yummy.
Excellent food! Very authentic and very comparable to all the food I ate in India(that quality of Indian food is not easy to find outside India). I have deep respect for the craft and passion that goes behind this operation.
Their food was amazing! We ordered the vegetable korma which was so delicious and the goat cheese samosas with the chutney was such a perfect combination.
I have been eating and cooking Indian food for over 40 years and this is one of the best I have tasted. Big portions and great prices, not to be missed if you like Indian food
Had amazing Indian food !! Palak paneer, vegetable korma and Chicken tikka masala were all superb. You really should check this place out…very tasty.
It’s good Indian food! It’s takeout only but it’s worth the walk and wait!
I had butter chicken it was really great!😋almost best better chicken ever I got in my life. I would like visit one more time if I went tulum again.
Always fresh & tasty we all love it here 🫶🏼
I have had Indian food many times in Canada where it’s very common and competitive and very good, and this place made it better. I highly recommend it. Amazing food.
Danke :)
The food was amazing! We had the butter paneer and Dal with lentils. Vey good vegi and vegan options. Expensive but you also get a lot for the money. Only take away possible (takes arround 15-30min)
Absolutely delicious and authentic Indian food. The rice is always perfect, the dishes are fresh and flavourful, and the naans are just to die for. Big portions. Highly recommend it. My favourite comforting food in Tulum!
I miss this place already now that I’m back in the states… but believe me.. when I return to Tulum this is certainly be a restaurant I order from again… the food is magnificent!
If you’re craving authentic Indian food made with love, India Express is the place to be! Every dish is handcrafted using the best quality spices imported straight from India, and you can taste the difference in every bite. Their samosas? Absolutely deli deli! Every flavor is perfection, with crispy golden pastry and perfectly spiced fillings. The masala French fries are a game-changer—seriously addictive and packed with bold, mouthwatering flavors. And when it comes to curries, you can’t go wrong with any choice. I always struggle to decide, but the paneer korma is my ultimate go-to—creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. The food is consistently amazing, the service is warm and welcoming, and the spices transport you straight to India. This has become a weekly tradition. If you love Indian cuisine (or even if you’ve never tried it), India Express is a must-visit in Tulum! 💛🔥
Wherever I am in the world, the culinary highlight of my week generally comes in the form of a chicken curry from the best Indian restaurant I can find in the area. I tried Indian Express Curry House during the first of my 4 weeks in Tulum and there was no turning back. Each week the curries were exceptionally tasty. Whatever variety I chose they all offered a thick, rich and flavourful gravy and the chicken was always tender. Not only that but the chef was quick on WhatsApp to answer and cater to my partner’s dietary requirements without sacrificing flavour. Ask for some extra heat if you like it hot as their base level is on the milder side but whatever you do, give this place a go – it gets top marks from this curry lover.
Goede Indiase curry in Mexico! Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.
My wife got the Paneer Tikka Masala and I got the vegan Eggplant Madras. I asked them to make my dish extra spicy and they nailed it. The flavor was a tad sweet for my liking, but otherwise amazing. Highly recommend!
the reviews here aren't wrong. Some of the best tasting Indian food that I've had. Spices are spot on , authentic taste and flavor. Every dish was made fresh and I could definitely appreciate the effort the chef put into it in both taste and anesthetics.
I cannot believe I could get such authentic tasty Indian food this far from India. Indian food is all about flavors and balancing it well. They have done a perfect job in that. I have been living in US for quiet some time and have a hard time getting my hands on some authentic Indian food. The reviews of this place tells it all. Kudos to this family run business who are doing such a fantastic job.
We saw this place two doors down from our Airbnb and decided to give it a try based on reviews. The Chana masala and butter chicken were excellent And the servings were large! Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow. Nice people too!
Cooked fresh and especially for you. Spices made in-house by the chef and that really shows in the quality/flavour. Amazing experience. Bread was wow. You have to try the ice-creams/lassis which are their own recipe! Probably the best Indian food I've ever had and I have a lot (comparing with homemade by Indian friends or restaurants in the UK and elsewhere).
I ordered the Chana masala as it is one of their vegan dishes, and the regular naan. The food was incredible and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. The price is a little high BUT the serving is quite big, I got two meals and a small snack out of one order, and quality is amazing. Highly recommend.
This is one of the best curry’s I’ve ever had, and in Tulum!!! The flavours were perfect, quantity amazing (a little too much but I’m not complaining). Lady who served us was incredibly nice. It’s a tiny bit overpriced, and the garlic naan was pretty poor, BUT, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Honestly, you need to try this.
Riquísima la comida, tienen un sazón inigualable. Super recomendable
What an incredible experience! 😅🥰The food, the staff, and the simple yet charming setting all come together perfectly. As someone of Indian origin — though not born there — I’ve had the chance to explore many cuisines. Growing up in a country rich with diverse cultures and flavors, and known as the spice capital of the world, I've learned to appreciate good food deeply. We tried a wonderful selection here: dahl makhani, extra spicy chicken vindaloo, veg biryani, Bombay potatoes, samosa potatoes, large raita, onion salad, and a drink. I was especially proud of the vindaloo and dahl makhani — they turned out great! The portions were generous enough to last several days, which I truly appreciate. The fact that everything is cooked fresh to order makes it even more special. The staff was warm and attentive, making the experience all the more enjoyable. And while the idea of eating with all five senses is a charming thought, I believe I went beyond that — savoring every bite with my heart and soul. This place truly feels like a treasure, and I’m grateful to these wonderful people for nourishing both body and spirit. Joy cures a thousand illnesses ,where there is love nothing is too much trouble, there is always time.
Deliiiiii deli deli deli.

Honest Indian review: India express Curry House is like the North light for Indians visiting Tulum. Since this was the only option in Central Tulum, I had low expectations from the place. However, I was positively surprised with the taste and quality of their food. Some of the reviews posted here do not do justice to them. These guys (none of them are Indian) are passionate about Indian food and considering the scarcity of Indian restaurants in Mexico, they do a good job. It’s a take out place with couple of table upfront in case anyone wants to dine in. Pricing is comparable to other average restaurants you will find in Tulum, in the sense, for a couple its going to be 650-750 pesos. Hope this helps fellow travellers!
Really good spicy flavorful Indian food and we regularly eat Indian food in the US. This is any day better than Indian food in the US.
I don't get why people have to be so negative about this place? It clearly says it's take out/delivery ONLY. Some people in here are commenting on the quality of food without trying it out. This is the best and only ONE Indian place in all of Tulum. I tried it for myself and trust me the food quality was AMAZING.
Very delicious & always fresh and staff is always nice! Ask for the mango curry, and just to add it’s not dine in you can order for delivery by “Tomatoe” or you can place your order for pick up ✅
This was my first time ever ordering food delivery (in like 20 years)! Anyway, food was good! Could have been a wee bit spicier, but flavor was good.
This is Indian food not Thai food —- what a previous reviewer stated is incorrect, no Thai food here…. Just delicious Indian food! We have tasted so much Indian food from Cancun and Playa del Carmen and it has not been good at all —— thank god we found this place its the BEST in tulum the nann is delicious the butter chicken is always fresh!!! I can’t express how how much we love it! We have ordered so MANY TIMES for personal pickup…. Many blessings to you and how you run your business! The owners really care about the product that serve and it shows in their food & service!
Seriously the best Indian curry i have ever tried. I'm a regular, always ordering butter paneer, sooo good. Also comes with lots of basmati rice. Really, one dish can easily be eaten by two people, big portions. Highly recommended!
We love eating here! The flavours are so fresh and each dish has a very unique taste. I’m all about butter chicken and love my garlic naan. The portions are an excellent side and one meal can actually feed 2 people. Thanks for spicing it up guys!
Amazing experience! Really loved the food. Very authentic, Indian food. Definitely recommend and Will definitely go there again! Very Good service.

Authentic Indian food with a rich flavor. We order weekly from India Express. Everything is delicious from the starters to the curries. Our favorites are butter chicken and Palak Paneer

Good option for delivery or take away, tasty and good sized portions.
The restaurant only offeres take out, they have many vegan options, the prices are a little high, but you get large portions of food. -🍛I had the vegan vegetables korma curry, like I mentioned the curry container is big, I couldn't finish the whole thing, it's really nice but quite oily. -🥟And we shared the vegan samosas, each samosa is pretty small but you get 5 of them, it was nice but considering the price, unless you're sharing, I might skip it. Over all nice food but a little pricey. Apologies for the bad quality bad lighting photos!
The food really was incredibly good, though expensive. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for Indian. Note, this is a take out or delivery place.

Samosas from this place are great! But giving 3 stars to food because biryani was very disappointing. It tasted a little sweet, in fact, didn't taste like biryani at all.
Tried India Express Curry house during my stay in Tulum. I got the Butter Chicken which I found to be far more sweet in terms of taste profile than spicy which was odd to me. The chicken had a rubbery texture like it may have been overcooked and the Nan bread was very dense again, not typical of Indian cuisine. Overall I wouldn’t recommend.
It’s a take out place, which is fine but their food is okay. We called for Garlic Butter Naan and Aloo Palak. Unfortunately, the naan was a basic flat bread (no garlic or butter) and aloo palak was more like Aloo Gravy ) No spinach and the puree was red and tangy. Overall, decent but could be better and definitely not authentic. They offer a lot of quantity which makes up for the high prices
First all delivery took an hour and a half but thats the least of it. Genuinely the worst samosa of my life— the wrapping was undercooked(not to mention it was not a proper samosa wrapping and the potato filling was not potato-y… it was like pulverized chicken? It was the most awful texture,,, couldn’t have more than one bite it was horrendous. the chana masala: i ordered extra spicy, it was not spicy at all… and so overly sweet, not balanced at all. It is not a matter of regional flavour profile differences, it was poorly made. Simply put, its not a matter of preference, this had a dessert level sweetness, not right. The basmati rice was good, at least…
I ordered chicken samosas, veggie korma and garlic nan. Overall the food and flavours were tasty. But the nan bread tastes like pita bread or gyro bread … not really traditional Indian nan. This was disappointing. Unfortunately there was a hair in my main dish. This can sometimes happen and I am not super squeamish so I wasn’t that bothered, but it’s still a bit unpleasant. Everything tasted good, but if you have Indian food in your city back home, don’t bother. In Toronto or Montreal, Canada for example, there are tons of amazing Indian food restaurants for excellent prices. And this is a bit overpriced for what it is. Just being honest.
Not good Indian food. Food tasted bad. Nothing tasted like what in ordered. Don’t go there.
I had higher hopes for this place. The chicken samosas were mainly batter, tiny, like almost non existent portions. The butter chicken main was small all sauce 5 pieces of small cubes of chicken and totally flavourless, beyond disappointing. The basmati Rice well was … basmati rice es just that🫤 overall. For the rating online I was so shocked at the disappointing service and food quality. I would not and cannot recommend for the price.
We are Indian and were craving some good Indian food here. All the food we ordered from this place tasted sweet, it literally feels like they are adding sugar to the biryani, and all the curries, and we did not enjoy it at all. Mint chutney was also sweet, raita was also sweet. Did not like - no flavor no spice
Well food is like first time some Mexican cooks trying to prep indian food, my wife liked bombay Aloo subzi , but apart from that everything is just not right, naans are frozen naan may be, rice is okay, all other curries and daal have sweetness in it, may be they are using sweet tomato packed containers and not real tomatoes, don’t know but everything was sweet like Gujarati indian food. If you’re traveling in tulum and this is the only option, and craving for Indian food, then try, but don’t expect too much, just eat it to calm down craving and carry on. Bombay aloo is good though, so try with rice.
I love Indian food and have gotten it in multiple states and a few different countries. This food was mediocre and bland. I ordered medium spice and it didn't even have a slight kick. The naan was so greasy that the paper bag it was in had grease seeping through and I ended up patting it off with a napkin. The paneer was harder than usual. I ordered online and the order was ready on-time, but the wait was still over an hour. Super disappointing to wait that long for mediocre food. There is a small table outside of you want to sit and wait, but the place is mostly take away or delivery.
Worst butter chicken of my life. There is nothing authentic about this place. They refused to issue a refund after complaining about the terrible taste. 0/10. Check out Tikka instead 🔥
I went to this restaurant because the reviews were ok, however. My food had a LONG piece of hair in it. DISGUSTING !!! The owner somehow responded stating I was complaining to Google. HOW ABOUT YOU TRY ETING FOOD WITH HAIR IN IT!! Furthermore, I am visiting from out of town and Noone in the restaurant spoke ENGLISH. So you tell me how was I to resolve the situation. I paid over $50.00 dollars for a meal that went in the trash.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This was, without question, the most horrendous experience I’ve ever had with takeout. When the food finally arrived, I was hoping it would at least be worth the soggy shoes and ruined mood. Nope. The naan was an absolute atrocity—soaked in butter yet still dry, flavorless, and with the consistency of cardboard that had been left out in the sun. It was both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. The curries were pathetic—watery, flavorless slop that tasted like someone dumped salt and ketchup into a bowl and stirred half-heartedly. There wasn’t a hint of authentic spice or flavor anywhere in this mess. This place is a complete disgrace to Indian cuisine. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy wasting money.
The only decent thing here was the dal makhani. Unfortunately, everything else was a big disappointment. The paneer was extremely chewy and clearly not fresh at all. The garlic naan was honestly a joke, they use frozen naan, throw raw garlic on top, and call it garlic naan. That’s not how it’s supposed to be done. Overall, very poor quality and not worth the money. I’d suggest staying away from this place. Edit: to reply to the owner, you can see in the picture raw garlic on top of the naan my friend😂 and i have tried Indian food countless times. I know the difference between a fresh in house made naan and store bought naan. It might not be frozen but packaged/store bought for sure.
I ordered from Indian Express Curry House in Tulum and was pretty disappointed overall. I got the chicken pakora, basmati rice, a brownie, and a bottle of Garcia Corespo sparkling water. The chicken pakora tasted good — nicely spiced and flavorful — but you only get 6;small pieces ( I ate 3), about the size of chicken nuggets from Wendy’s or McDonald’s. For nearly $10, I expected a more generous portion, especially since the photo made it look like it came with much more chicken. That part felt misleading. The best value was definitely the basmati rice. It was fresh, tasty, and came in a decent portion, which makes sense since rice is usually inexpensive for the restaurant to make. The brownie and water were fine — no surprises there, since the sizes were clearly listed online. I’m getting used to the pattern here in Tulum where you often pay more and get less food, but this order felt like a real miss in terms of value. Luckily, I had already made my own curry at home and didn’t rely on theirs. I don’t think I’ll order from here again. I'm especially disappointed because I love Thai food and will be spending a lot of time in Tulum. I really wanted to become a regular and order from here often - but unfortunately, this just wasn't it. Oh well, I'll be looking for another Thai spot in the area Good Luck Everyone! ******Update******* (After The owner responds) Consider cooking at home or hiring a personal chef — many of the restaurants around here seem more interested in playing games than serving customers honestly. Regarding my previous review: I clearly stated that the dish came with 6 pieces. How is that misleading? Realistically, do you think 6 small pieces are enough for two people to share? Next time, it would be helpful to specify portion sizes on the menu. Instead of acknowledging the issue or making things right, the response from the business was defensive ( No accountability ) . That says a lot. How you treat customers matters — not just in business, but in life. What you put out eventually comes back to you.
**Vegetarian Integrity Compromised** As a lifelong vegetarian, I eagerly ordered from this Indian restaurant. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I discovered chicken in my paneer tikka masala. This error not only violated my dietary choice but also raised serious concerns about the kitchen's attention to detail and respect for vegetarianism. Upon voicing my concern, the staff dismissed it as a "simple mistake" and offered a refund only for the dish with chicken, suggesting I eat other items from my order. However, this oversight is far from simple—it's a breach of trust. How can one trust other dishes when such fundamental mistakes occur? The incident with the paneer tikka masala overshadowed my entire experience. Maintaining the integrity of vegetarian dishes is crucial, and this oversight was disappointing and avoidable.
