The food was great. The fries slapped! There were a couple un-housed people hanging around the parking lot and inside, but they were nice and kept to themselves. Maybe not super kid-friendly, but the food was good and cheap!

Did not experienced any unpleasant things. Compared to many other fast food restaurants this one was clean, the lines weren't long and the staff was quite kind. There weren't any problems with drink fountain or anything else.

This location is on the rough side with lots of homeless people gathered outside. The service is good. I know the large cup I was provided is smaller than the cup I recieve by SDSU jack in the box. The food was pretty good.

Maps assumes I've visited Jack in the Box because I live relatively close to it, and pass by it multiple times each day. I don't know of a way to make it stop suggesting that I review it so maybe leaving a review will make it stop. I will be using my knowledge of their menu and the experience I had at the last one I actually had the pleasure of eating at. **Upon further consideration kce decided to give 4/5 stars on the off chance that this is the best location in the history of the company. And let's face it. There's no Jack in the box with an average rating of 5 stars. While I do not eat fast food (besides independently owned Taco Shops in San Diego only) I do not disparage those who do, and would tell them to eat whatever you want. At least you're eating. That being said. I think there's a brief window of time between the food being prepared and packaged up to serve to a customer of about 4-5 minutes for most of the items on their menu. Which is why they throw away food that has sat under the heat lamps for more than 4-5 minutes if they are following their states safe food handing policies. So you essentially have, under the most optimum circumstances, about 4-5 minutes to eat whatever it is they give you before the company that makes and sells it considers the food trash. I could go on and on with statistics that will probably only bore most people. Or I could tell one of many horror stories about things i have seen, smelled, or tasted personally but that would probably be breaking some sort of law meant to protect corporations reputations. Or I could just say "do what you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone." So try to refrain from serving it to anyone else unless they're consenting adults. This includes children and pets who don't know any better.

This was my first Jack in the box experience. I was tired of tacos so I said let me try this Jack in the box, I was pleasantly surprised. I still can't believe the $6 and something I paid for a double cheeseburger, for real onion rings and a large ginger ale. After eating all them onion rings I couldn't eat the burger, but two hours later I got up in the middle of the night and ate on that bad boy or night long. The place was clean, the staff was professional to everyone even the less unfortunate who was scraping up change just for a cup of coffee. The food was delicious and the onion rings or the best I'm going to get some more.

Food is good even though my first visit they didn't have any carbonated drinks so I had to get Hi-C Fruit Punch on my visit. I've been there two more times without any issues. They are very prompt, and give excellent service. I just wish we could refill drinks on our own. Also shocked by the fact they allow dogs in here, but I am new to San Diego so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised since I do see a lot of dogs around the city.

store closes at 10pm for walk ins. they should say that. one tkme i went hungry at 11pm because goog maps said they closed at 3am only to find out it was closed 😔

I love going to Jack in the box. their food is awesome and make it like you, not the premade stuff usually under the heaters

Great location. Typical fast food selection. Friendly service. Great fries. Handy drink machine. Enough specials. Ketchup should be in a bulk server to reduce waste (the small packets). The burger was dry and the bun was not toasted. (See pic) We ordered a shake, which was quite good ( in spite of NOT being custard.

Great fun. Waited 20+ mins at drive thru for our order to be filled. We were the only ones in line, restaurant fairly empty. Not a big order, about 12 items tops for the four of us. Attendant asks us to park the car while they work on the order. Fine. Random woman comes to car window to ask for 5 bucks, gets extremely hostile when I decline (if i give a fiver to one i'm gonna have to give a fiver to all, right?). We continue to wait a loooooong time -- the one who needs the fiver takes full advantage of this, making random trips to our car to communicate how much she doesn't like me. Finally drive-thru person tells us she's ready to give us our order. We swing around, but for some reason she's actually not ready. She's still slowly putting things in the bag then starts furiously trying to secure the bag. We beg her to just let us take the bag and leave cause we're starving and we're on the way to the waterfront to try to catch the sunset before it drops entirely. Nope, she keeps working on it. Now when I say secure the bag, my meaning here is literally she is winding industrial strength tape all up and down the sides and over the top of the bag. After 5 mins of this she passes the bag over. Getting the bag in our hands makes all of us feel a bit better. I try to peek in to check contents against the order, but realize we're kind of stymied by all the tape. The paper bag is also industrial strength, impressively so, and with all the tape we realize we can't get in without making a mess or taking another 15 mins to pick at it and pull it off. So we trust that the 20+ mins they took was sufficient for them to get everything we ordered into the bag. Off to the sunset!! Not sure where we actually went but it was nice, lots of hotels looking out over the water, shops, and big rocks against the waterside, and stretches of green grass behind with folks and dogs prancing. Still a little sun left. We find a nice spot and then all of us start furiously picking and pulling at the tape to get at our dinner. Now I've been living in Japan for awhile and they don't have JIB there. So this was a first for 3 of us and we learn that JIB is very tasty. And we are really enjoying the experience -- I mean really enjoying. We are eating our burgers and fries and watching the sunset and the party boat and dogs and kites. And then my son, fries eaten and ready for his burger, roots around at the bottom of the big bag and pulls out one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen any restaurant produce: 2 circular cheese-covered and very dried hamburger slices wedged between 2 leaves of lettuce, carefully assembled and placed into some folded paper to hold it. LOL, gotta hand it to you JIB, you got us pretty good!! No bun, clever!! Made sure we didn't notice at the drive-thru so we'd get the full effect of your prank. Well done!!

This place is so nasty. The customer service is okay but there so busy even at night they don’t really take time to take your order. There’s also super shady people near and the food doesn’t taste right compared to any other regular jack in the box I felt uneasy eating my food once I got home I couldn’t eat my food there beacause the inside is so nasty. Trash and food everywhere and that’s probably just the customers fault because there’s shady people roaming around who probably don’t care about what mess they make maybe it is just a nasty location in my opinion.

Food's good, service as well. What scares me away from this particular location is that there's people that are on drugs in the area. It's not the staff's fault, but there needs to be a little bit more safety.

Do not recommend coming here. Nothing but kids running the restaurant. “I got you” is not an appropriate response when taking an order firstly. Then when you give me my bagged order I noticed your employees looking confused and you ask for it back and take some things out and give it back to me. Then I come to find the main part of my meal is missing. Get it together guys.

I don't know if they made this yesterday, but for a $12 combo it shouldn't be this bad. I guess this is why I haven't been here in a long time. Won't be ever again. The ham was completely dry, the bacon, well, you see it. The eggs, lukewarm at best. If you want to call that a croissant, be my guest. It was smashed completely. At least the coffee wasn't horrible like the cold hash browns. The drive through lady was nice though Update: I've been sick to my stomach for over an hour now. This really sucks.

This place must have some issue with their fryers. Ordered onion rings and a shake. Shake was good, hard to go wrong there. The onion rings however, were served in one giant ball all fried together as though no one shook the basket after the first minute or so. This made a crispy outer layer and a raw uncooked center. I thought a shake and a fried item would make for an easy order. Oh well, chocolate shake saves the day.

Sunday March 8, 2026: My Friend and I visited this Jack in the box location at 1:00 am. I sat by the sign a minute before I said hello, no greeting, just give me a minute. I said ok. She asked what we wanted, I ordered a number 26 with no egg. She asked what drink, I asked for a vanilla shake, she put strawberry.. as I corrected her she gave attitude. When I got to the window, she told me the price I paid with my ebt. No worries. But, no receipt. I had to lay on my horn for the receipt. Bad attitude all the way around. And when I finally got her to the window, Jacquelyne still had an attitude as if asking herself why I was still there. If you have workers like this here, why should we come back? Bad experience all around

I went to Jack-in-the-Box to order the family of four meal deal for me and my family and requested to change my normal fries to curly fries. When I asked to change it, this server named Eli O said no in such a rude way and made fun of my accent. She said “Your accent is funny.” That is so disrespectful and racist for someone to do that. Honestly do better.

Homeless people all over the place. On the front stairs and wheelchair ramp, also in the parking lot loitering. Staff doesn't care at night it's bad. Also the city police have a surveillance type van in the parking lot with a Blue flashing strobe light. Jack in the box Corporate HQ should shut this place down this has been like this for a couple of years.

Ordered food through drive thru and the guy was rude to begin with. To top it off I drove away with my order only To find out they forgot an item . I went back and let them know. When I was going to eat my food most of it was burnt . Horrible .

Terrible customer service. 2 homeless were in the restroom for 15 min. And they wouldn't come out. Cashier and workers refused to open the other bathroom for customers to use of kick out the couple in the restroom. About 5 customers just waited. The cashier said she was too busy to even worry about it.

They have a big homeless presence here. Outside and inside. There was a boarded up window and place feels dirty which makes you want to wash your hands. Unfortunately while I was there it was occupied for the entire time by a homeless person.

So i went to this jack to be able to sit down but by the moment we arrived they were 2 homeless people on the entrance then inside they were several I know they have right to buy food and everything but one was on the restroom and actually left blood on it !! The homeless atleast warned me that the restroom got blood so i told the staff which actually they did listen to me and went to clean it but honestly they place was smelly and dirty They should have more staff to be cleaning alot more since there’s alot of homeless people The food was actually good so atleast they had that but make sure to clean and check the restroom several times a day !!

I like eating at jack in the box. And I love ordering the stuffed Jalapeños. But for some reason. Everytime I order them here they never come out good. They are not made well. They come out really soggy compare to the other places where they come out nice and crisp with the cheese melted. The ones I get here the cheese is not even melted. Also the fries come out soggy and not crisp. And the burger I order felt like if the meat was already made and kinda cold. Been here 3 times and been trying to go back for a refund. But since I go during my lunch break I don't have that time.
