I was greeted by Jenny at the cash register with the biggest smile!! It honestly made my day! She was so sweet and helped me with what was on the menu and I ended up getting her favorite which was the turkey avocado verde sandwich…it was the most delicious sandwich I think I’ve ever had. The bread has to be house made and is seriously so good! I can’t wait to come back tomorrow to see Jenny and to try something else.

We had a great experience at Mendocino Farms, and a huge part of that was thanks to Jenny. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. She’s a total pro when it comes to customer service—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful and kind. The food, as always, was fresh and delicious, but Jenny really made our visit memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back, and hoping she’s there next time!

I was working and had said to a co-worker I wanted a good salad for lunch. For lunch he recommended we come here. We were instantly greeted with a beautiful smile and welcoming energy. The cashier whose name is Cali (I may have spelled it wrong, my apologies) but, the service and care she provided was superb. I appreciate her attentiveness to the customers, the counters, the Lyft and door dasher delivery team, I saw her be a team player being a part of everything and still going back to help customers. I don’t write reviews for regular service or meals but, the salads were delicious… I really like the taco salad. I wasn’t too hyped about the IM but with the sauce it was a perfect mix. I also enjoyed the drink selection. It felt refreshing, I had to go back to work and it did just the job I needed to be fulfilling yet, not too heavy on my stomach. Thank you.

A decent place to eat in downtown San Francisco. We have a vegan banh mi ciabatta panini and the impossible taco salad with vegan chipotle ranch. They have good vegan and vegetarian options. Service was good. Casual ambiance. Parking on the street.

I was in town for a couple of days for work. I had the same sandwich both times. The Peruvian steak. Absolutely delicious. I’m not usually a sandwich person but this was worth it. Place was packed but service was fast nonetheless. Both experiences were nice. I will def come back next time I’m in town. Heck I’m craving another one as I type this

Had a little mix-up today with a pick-up order because I got confused by the multiple locations in the area. The manager (Jeremy?) and staff were SO friendly and helped me resolve it. Was very grateful because we were really hungry. Thanks again!

I had such a great experience at Mendocino Farms! The customer service was top-notch, the guy at the register ( Willis) was super friendly, kind, and welcoming. That really stood out to me because great service is a big deal for me. It made the whole visit feel warm and positive. I’ll definitely be coming back not just for the food, but for the way I was treated. Thank you! 👏🏽💯

He let me know the current fan favorites, as well as their seasonal menu. He was so polite, as were all the other employees I interacted with after that! The food itself is delicious. Best damn steak sandwich I think I've ever had. And their pomegranate mint lemonade!!! 👌 So good and refreshing. I think I found my new favorite spot in SF. I live in the East Bay and I'd make a trip over, for sure. Highly recommend

Love this location! I’ve had their sandwiches at other locations, but tried the crunchy salad today. It’s the best! Super healthy and delicious. Atmosphere is bright, sunny, and airy. Tall ceilings and modern design. Free WiFi and great for getting some work done too. Make sure to stop by the free art gallery across the street at ICA SF!

If you wanna compare Sweet Green and M. Farms. I think Mendocino has bigger portions and better environments. Nice cashier. I came 3 days in a row, and i love this salad

Recently went to Mendocino Farms for lunch and it was a great experience. Before discussing the food, which was great. I need to highlight the staff. The folks there were friendly, helpful, and eager to ensure that I had a great experience. Additionally, the cashier, who I assume was the manager was patient with me as I read off a large order for my colleagues. The salads are amazing and the chicken sandwich and strips are very fresh. It’s easy to tell which places use quality chicken and which don’t. If you’re ever looking for a high quality lunch, and you’re downtown. Check them out!

Utterly flawless, phenomenal flavor and straight fire from the first taste of both the The Impossible Taco Salad. A beautifully presented plentiful portion of wholesome, yummy superfood ingredients, fantastic and exciting flavors made this a home run for sure and I'll definitely be grubbing at this joint again. This was probably the best salad I've chowed down on in downtown SFO in a while, this joint is dope.

I had a chicken pesto sandwich and it was delicious. It's a perfect cafe to have lunch with a friend. Higher class of people. I wish they offered hot coffee or hot tea, especially in the winter time. Clean bathrooms. Very nice staff. Getting the food out to the table was not fast, And it wasn't busy there, but it was fresh. I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry.

Great food, clean place, vegan options! But be careful to repeat twice any special notes to your order. We ordered a turkey sandwich and asked to remove everything with jalapeños and jalapeños itself and after a bite, the unwelcoming hotness welcomed us, then a nice big full slice of jalapeños came out of the sandwich. Great gouda cheese, all very yummy besides that.

Everything is so healthy but truly outstandingly delicious! (I am not one who ever orders healthy food.) The "Not So Fried Chicken" sandwich is a must! It's number one under the "Foodie Favorites." It has incredibly tender and juicy chicken breast pieces that are not too thin nor too thick. The fantastic combination of flavors and textures in it are comprised of herb aioli, a signature slaw (very special), tomato slices, pickled red onions (if you choose) & their Mendo Krispies on a toasted ciabatta bun. I asked what the incredible Mendo Krispies were, and the employee said that he didn't know, but he thought that they were fried polenta. It comes with little side containers of a remoulade (in which I dipped all of the last pieces of chicken) and Chipotle BBQ sauce (which I didn't use). The sandwiches (and salads that I saw others eating) are very large. (You can judge yourself from my photos.) It's funny that the two grown men that I was with (who had even worked out that morning) could only eat half of their sandwiches, but I ate every bite of mine. You CAN order a "half sandwich & soup or side," though. They have really fantastic pasta salad, slaw, and other options and ask you if you'd like to sample. The aforementioned were so wonderful that I want the recipe. Their soda is made with real sugar, and the homemade lemonade was so fresh that I definitely had refills. They also have vegan, gluten-free options & organic milk. There are also craft beers and local wines. The line to order moves quickly, since they have two employees entering your orders on computer screens. They're tilted for you to see all of your choices, and you don't feel rushed. All of the employees are so nice. They have "order ahead & pick up quickly" so organized. (Check out my photos.) You'll also see how clean & bright the restaurant is. As the sign says, "EAT HAPPY," and you will.

I like the option to get a half sandwich and a salad because it was a good amount for me. The salad was so tiny though so the $13 is actually quite high for the amount of food. Their not so fried chicken sandwich was delicious. There was no way I could’ve finished an entire sandwich. The kale and apple rainbow salad had way too much lemon. I could only take two bites. As small as it was, perhaps 1/3 of a cup of food, I couldn’t eat it.

Very instagrammable! Colorful decor, and the food was pretty good. I got the beet salad and it was HUGE! I was expecting half the size. Fresh, crunchy, tasty, and I appreciated the calorie counts on the menu. I’d go back for a healthy lunch for sure.

Mendocino Farms is a decent spot for a quick bite or even to sit down over lunch. It's definitely a bit pricier than other comparable spots and I didn't think there was anything too special about the "Impossible" burger or even potato salad (and for the quantity I wouldn't exactly recommend the sides). There's a lot of healthy options though and it's worth a shot if you've never been and are looking for a good burger, salad, or soup.

Popular lunch spot for the yuppies like me working in the fidi. I often appreciate the soup and sandwich lunch combo. The tomato soup is very solid. I also appreciate the earnestness with which the staff work to remember regular’s names. However, yesterday, I was confronted with an interaction that placed a finger on the attitude that abounds this place, which I had previously been able to pinpoint. After ordering my regular and taking a seat, I began to notice folks who ordered after me were already eating. I figured mine was on the way, but then I noticed what appeared to be my order sitting on a counter. So I went to pick it up. While doing so, the staff person behind the counter looked at me and then looked over my shoulder while noticeably altering their demeanor and facial expression. I checked my six. Behind me was the clean cut mustachioed gentleman I often see scurrying about the establishment. The “managerial” class of employees distinguish themselves by wearing farmer like button up shirts. He was wearing one of his regular button ups. While trying to make eye contact w him I said this was my order and I will be taking it now. He sternly and somewhat rapidly said “I will bring it to you” without meeting my gaze. I said no it’s alright and he interrupted me to insist he walk it to my seat. I found this to be a denial of my agency and a rather impersonal interaction over the transfer of a lunch tray to a nearby table. Not a big deal, my guy. The man never looked me in the eye but did stand his ground. I conceded. But I will not forget the intensity and sternness the man brought to my lunch. It was unwelcome and I suspect he treats his staff similarly. The shine has faded.

I got the ‘The Farm Club’ sandwich which is a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich. I also got with extra turkey and avocado! I thought the sandwich was okey, it wasn’t very flavorful in my opinion. I’d give it a 6/10.

I like this place as it has vegetarian option but I am writing this review to let you guys know that you served me bacon when I ordered a vegetarian sandwich. Just be careful.

I came here for the first time today with friends for lunch. I order the chicken hummus wrap. The wrap was tasty and I love the crunch bits in it! The proportions were generous, too. I ended up taking half of it home. The dinning room is big and airy, with plenty of indirect sun. However, it is obnoxiously loud! I've been to dance bars that were quieter! We literally had to yell at each other to be heard across a small table, and the place wasn't even full. I had to ask the cashier to repeat himself a couple of times. The room is all hard surfaces with zero sound absorbing textures. Add to that they are playing loud rock music, and you end up with a less than enjoyable meal experience, especially if you are trying to carry on a conversation.

Great salads and sandwiches. Terrible service. Don’t expect your food in a reasonable time, and jostle with delivery drivers to pick up your food.

The place is clean and service is great. I just had a bad experience bc I got the quinoa / avocado salad and i was excited. It looked so pretty and delicious. When I started eating it, it was super dry and it was like having beach sand in my salad. Very crunchy, grains. I read the menu and it said this salad has “super krunchies” which is fine but literally was like eating sand and kale. I would say lay off the “super krunchies” or put to the side. Id go back for their sandwiches they looked delicious.

If you can’t handle the orders, why do you accept them? Are delivery drivers supposed to wait an hour? Shouldn’t the system operate on a first-come, first-served basis? Do you only prioritize pickup customers as your real customers? This is the worst management ever. They give orders to people they know while ignoring others. If your lineup was busy, couldn’t you afford to hire more staff?

Updated Review: Great restaurant but the experience is fundamentally broken. Lines are out the door for ordering in store. Online ordering system doesn't work... 2 different people came by at a certain point to ask me for my name and where I placed the order. Mendo uses 3 different ordering platforms so there seems to be a lot of operational confusion as a result (Caviar, their own website and Revel). I placed an online order at 11:12am and selected a 12pm pickup time. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:55 and saw 20+ people waiting back by the bathrooms. The staff would bring out orders one by one, it honestly felt like maybe one every 5-7 minutes. They wouldn't call out names of the order so everyone would try to huddle around and get a view of the receipt stapled on the bag. Caviar drivers were also waiting this section and this is where the drink dispenser (water, lemonade etc) and bathroom access is so the back section was extremely chaotic. Around 12:30 (still waiting) I realized I was going probably going to be late for a 1pm meeting so I tried to figure out how I could cancel my order and get a refund. I tried calling the phone number from my spot in the back section while waiting so I did not lose access or line of site to the bags being brought out. As expected, it was impossible to get to anyone on the phone. There is also a register towards the back for processing the online orders ( I think) but this too had a line of 15-20 people so I didn't have a chance to talk to anyone at the counter. I spoke to 2 employees who were shuttling orders and asked if they could help me figure out the refund... eventually one of them took my name and info down and told me I could leave. I wrote in on their website to confirm that my order has been refunded but I have not received any indication of it being completed at this point (2:23pm at time of writing this). I left Mendo around 12:50 and popped into a falafel joint up the street and had a pretty good lunch after my 1pm meeting ended. The trouble is that Mendo has the impossible burger and taco salad, which is very good. I really don't WANT to go back to them after the experience I (and about 40-50 other people) had. I like the food. Its very good. Figure out your operations please? I want to be a customer.

Interior design feels like a children’s playground; it’s a childish place with its blue and white chairs , geometric pendant lights in the shape of molecules , and an “Eat Happy” sign. The Banh Mi sandwich is either made in a slapdash manner by a robot or a toddler, and the salad seems like it’s from a pre made as if it’s a vintage salad from 1954.
