Tip: Visit during sunrise to enjoy the beautiful design of the store. Be aware that the drive-thru can be slow, and parking may be limited due to the drive-thru line.

Opinions de Starbucks Twentynine Palms
I had a great experience at Starbucks recently. The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and the store itself was very clean and comfortable. It was also fun to see some nostalgic throwback items available for purchase—it added a unique touch to the visit. My coffee came out very quickly, even with a few modifications, and the team handled my requests with pleasure and a great attitude. Overall, a really enjoyable stop, and I’d definitely recommend this location for both the service and the atmosphere.
This Starbucks has such a gorgeous design, and it’s especially beautiful at sunrise. The team here is super friendly and always makes me feel welcome. Even though Starbucks is a big chain, this particular store feels special. I genuinely love coming here — it brought a lot of lovely moments to my journey.
Stopped by on a Sunday morning in February for a quick bite and coffee before a day of hiking. The place was clean with plenty of parking, plus it is a very convenient location. It was bustling with both locals and visitors, all want to get their coffee fix. They have drive through pick up as well.
Really enjoyed our visit here, from the moment you walk in everything is clean and spotless, fresh and modern. Staff are friendly and helpful and wait was never long despute being very busy. Not heaps of seats but enough.

Normally a good place for service but at 6am no one is awake I guess. One gentleman said he would help is in a moment and then walked away to stock coffee right next to us and didnt come back to help us with our order. Waited for 5 mins at the counter until another sweet girl saw is and helped. Grateful to her for her help and prompt polite service.
For context, I am from Seattle where there are many options especially for coffee/beverages and snacks (Starbucks every ten miles max but also many other/more local options for cafes with coffee and other drinks like bubble tea, matcha..). I go to Starbucks because I am sometimes on the road (including for work) and they have a GF snack I can eat (potato cheddar egg bites) and most cafes have *no* GF options for food except maybe yogurt. I also do like their ristretto shot lattes/mochas.. the coffee beans they use for espresso is a darker roast which I like. I don't understand all these cafes (JT Coffee Co. here, for example, but it's many popular cafes in Seattle as well) using medium roasts for espresso. Yes it's higher caffeine but so gross and opposite of Italian style, origins of espresso.. and I don't understand why people like it but they must (JT coffee Co is going strong years later, for example..). I have been coming to this beautiful area for vacation at least once a year since 2020. I love love the vibe, scenery, how quiet it is.. and it's a short flight. The Starbucks cafes in this area are all extremely slammed and short staffed from early/mid January. I understand that it doesn't make economic sense for Starbucks to open more stores due to long slow season in desert areas.. and the priority of Starbucks management/corporate is the bottom line above all else (customers or staff) so I don't expect that this is a problem that will be solved anytime soon. So I try to make my own coffee drinks for most of the the days I am here visiting because I feel bad for the staff who should be paid more considering how slammed they are all day.. it makes me feel guilty and like I'm part of the problem.
Starbucks is a great place to go but this location is not great depending on worker. I ordered a vanilla bean frappe with caramel on the lining of the cup. They didn't do it first of all and second of all for "replacement" they gave us an empty cup with caramel lining and told us to 'pour it into the cup' this was very tacky in my opinion.
Top notch, 10/10 experience. I write this hearing the in-store Whitney vibes of 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'—and honestly, I feel like dancing. My internal clock is still on East Coast time, so I am wide awake at 3:45 AM. While the motel office is skeptical about the hours, Google Maps and your 4:00 AM opening save the day. I load my card with $25 because I am not just looking for caffeine; I am looking for human connection and a hit of morning dopamine. The 'Welcome In!' feels genuine. When my Sausage Egg Muffin comes out a bit too crunchy on one side, I feel an apologetic hesitation about asking for a fix, but Alan handles it with total grace. His smile turns my hesitation into a 'winning at life' moment. To top it off, as a 50-year-old man rocking a MrBeast hoodie, diving into the mystery of the gift card promotion feels like a real adventure. My belly is warm, my Venti is delicious, and I am deeply grateful for the hospitality.

Most of the staff are pleasant. Mel makes an espresso with the proper microfoam. I had a very good ice late yesterday. Indoor seating is limited. Outdoor seating area smells strongly of the nearby garbage area but the bathrooms are very clean.
First time visiting. Went on a very busy Saturday morning. Good customer service. The inside was a bit small compared to other Starbucks that has ample indoor seating. They have great selections of everything from gift cards to drink and food items. They have only ran out of my favorite; velvet cake one time. My only complaint is the drive-thru line which makes it darn near impossible to park your car with ease even worse trying to back out. On your visit to this location, I recommend parking your vehicle on the street. There are many spots on the street and no parking meters which is great. This will save you so much time when you’re trying to leave and you won’t have to deal with the drive thru line holding you up from backing up.
Great staff. Clean environment. Only downside is the morning old male trading stamp group—I know more about ‘80s vintage stamps than I care to.
We went through the drive thru and ordered a Grande Protein Matcha and I’m not sure what we got, it was more powder and thickness than coffee. Very disappointing and usually have a decent experience at this Starbucks even if we have a long wait lately. I know it may get busy there but please put more care into making the drinks. Thank you!
I have never had a complaint till today. Went to grab my husband and I some food/drinks. All usual things we get every single time. Today we got a un-mixed matcha that wasn't sweet and tasted off with a unsweet cold foam on top. We then noticed there was a giant Crack on the side of the cup that slowly spilled out onto the tray onto my seat cushion. We also got a regular latte with oatmilk for my friend who has a serious dairy allergy - turns out it was made with regular milk. Then my lemon loaf was still on the plastic bag in the brown deli bag. I understand not warming it up but really that's poor service just to shove a unprepared loaf still in its original container. Do better starbucks.
Stopped by today after visiting Joshua Tree National Monument. Didn’t order anything because the restroom was god awful, dirty, stains everywhere, no toilet seat covers, and almost totally out of paper. Only one restroom in working order. Granted, only 2 employees on duty, but someone should be trained to clean the place up. Hesitated to order bcz restroom so filthy. Mentioned to young person and received lame excuse. @SBUX do better.

Absolutely terrible at time management. Needs more staffing and better training. They are very friendly but im also not trying to put a order in 20 minutes before getting there and still waiting 30 plus minutes for 2 drinks.
The only reason I’m giving it a low rating is because people (customers), for whatever reason, love to double park at this location. They park right in front of the door—behind properly parked cars—even though there are spaces not 20 feet away. At least 3 times I’ve had to wait 10+ minutes for people to move their car so I can leave. The service is always lovely and the employees are friendly, but I avoid this location now because of the double parking.
For the past 4 years every time I order a nitro cold brew they give me an iced cold brew. The drive thru is very slow, it can take over 20 minutes to get 6-8 cars thru. Hot items are cold by time you get them. The design of the store is awful, the drive thru line blocks the handful of parking spaces they have.
Their Matcha is so nasty and usually they do a really good job but lately they’ve been really sucking. I don’t like to usually post reviews but this one definitely cut the cake. Their strawberry cold foam isn’t even sweet. It’s very bland and it isn’t even like foam. They didn’t even put the caramel drizzle that I asked for I had to give it back to them once I got to the window after I realized how it was and I ordered two of these matches with cold strawberry foam and a caramel drizzle. I can’t believe the Starbucks has come down to sucking this bad
I hesitate to say this, but my order took 25 minutes. Granted it was food, and they were slammed. Also missed a couple things on the order. Had to go back inside and wait longer. They also had closed their mobile orders so I had to wait inside. The staff was working hard and the main baristta was super kind. But I googled how long the orders are supposed to take and they shoot for 12 minutes max, even at peak times.
They didn't fill my drink up all the way it should be filled up to the rim for the price

Possibly the slowest store they have. And with the fewest places to sit. Witless management. And almost impossible parking because of the drive through routing. Anyway, the same old watery coffee is served as if it’s something special 😂 Starbucks thinks they are more clever than they really are. They’ve introduced so many products, their process cannot cope. Looking at the time it takes to assemble each order, no wonder their prices are now ridiculous. Theirs is a business that has scaled beyond their own ability to execute it. I miss a proper coffee shop.
Hey. Your “SMART” system that your employee attempted to explain to me when I inquired why it had taken TWENTY MINUTES to get my coffee DOES NOT WORK. I completely understand mobile orders and drive thru getting cycled in with in-person orders. However, people who ordered in person AFTER me got their orders first. That is not a SMART system. Figure it out Starbucks… there is no reason it should take 20 minutes to get a coffee. I’m still trying to figure out why other in person orders got their orders before me???? Smart??
The Carmel ribbon crunch was supposed to have Carmel and sweetness and milk to it but instead it literally tasted like water with a very very very slight hint of sweet . The wait was about 30 minutes for drive through. Don’t recommend unless u want to leave with a 12 dollar venti drink that tastes like sewer water!
Used to come in all the time for coffee. One day, asked for a cup of water as I'd already had too much coffee for the morning. The staff refused - " water is only for paying customers" is apparently now their policy. I'd bought coffee there twice that week and was only there to meet a friend that, himself, had just bought a coffee. Well, their call but I haven't bought a coffee from them since. I know they don't need my business and they certainly will never get it again.

Worst Starbucks EVER! Can your Baristas learn some hustle? They're are all miserable and working in slow motion. No smiles and no enthusiasm. Terrible Starbucks.. It's worth it to go all the way to YV just to avoid this one. THE DISTRICT AND STORE MANAGERS SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT THIS IS HOW THEY ARE RUNNING A CORPORATE LOCATION!!
