Complimenti!!
Staff gentilissimo e molto paziente. Ci torneremo sicuramente!
Locale molto carino, caldo e accogliente! Personale gentile e simpatico.
Personale supergentile. Consigliatissimo!
Highly recommended. Simple atmosphere, good food, and genuine staff. We chatted a bit with the owner, who explained where he sources his ingredients and his story. Excellent!
Tourists passing through. We came to Le Foyer a little pre-emptively, given the mixed reviews. Well, the venison, polenta concia, marinated beef, and baked potatoes were superb! We enjoyed the meal, accompanied by a delicious house Barbera. Well done!
There's no need to rush, just relax and enjoy your meal, stress-free. Omar is a guarantee: he always welcomes you and serves his delicious dishes. The Valsaosta steak is very good, but so are the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, the ravioli with roast gravy, the Foyer salad, the classic mixed salad (rich and very fresh), the chocolate fondue with fruit, the house red... In short, at Le Foyer Du Fond, you always eat well.
An excellent experience! I ate very well: every dish was homemade, with fresh and quality ingredients. You can feel the care and passion in the kitchen. The staff was very kind and very professional. The desserts are delicious!! their tart is simply delicious, one of the best I have ever tasted, highly recommended!
Excellent place to enjoy traditional dishes. Excellent cuisine, excellent product quality, generous portions. Excellent service. Friendly and welcoming. Simple place. You can stop for lunch or dinner, or even a coffee at the bar. Ample parking, nice and large children's area in front of the entrance. Beautiful view from outside. Compliments to the Chef! We'll be back! Highly recommended!
The place is very nice, well-maintained, and clean; in front of the restaurant, there's a lovely children's play area, and behind it, a well-maintained soccer field and tennis court. The dishes are very good, and the portions are generous. Compliments to the chef and his entire team.
This place is great! Friendly atmosphere, smiley people and food like at home only a bit better :) really nice stop if you need a rest and good food! With reasonable prices.
We needed some rest and some drinks. Just a perfect place with a wonderful view.
Le Foyer di San Nicolas is highly recommended for the delicious dishes, the undeniable quality of the ingredients, and the skill in the preparation. Omar is a delightful, helpful, and welcoming person. We spent a few days at San Nicolas and ate several of the house specialties. The pasta and bread are homemade, the dishes are delicious, and the dessert is highly recommended. What can I say? As soon as I have a few days off, I'll definitely be back to eat at Omar.
Good place
We stopped for lunch with friends because it's a restaurant near a park with children's playground equipment (one of which is broken) and a mini zip line. In the back, there's a large lawn where Signore rents out jeeps and other electric vehicles for kids at a reasonable price, playing with them to teach them how to drive. Welcoming staff, large spaces. They're a bit disorganized when it comes to ordering. The dishes are good and plentiful (the pappardelle with wild boar was very good), and the prices are in line with recent times. They were kind enough to provide us with two high chairs for children. The desserts are also delicious!
A beautiful cabin-style restaurant at the entrance to Saint Nicholas. Convenient parking. Clean, tidy, and informal atmosphere. Attentive, young, fast, and extremely friendly service. Excellent and generous traditional dishes prepared with quality ingredients. Absolutely recommended for both an excellent lunch and a sumptuous dinner!
We arrived here late at night after a little adventure in the snow and were thankful to find this place still open. There were only a couple of items left on the menu but that was good enough for these hungry travellers. The food was good though not outstanding.
Bella location
We arrived for lunch overlooking Saint Nicholas. We had tagliatelle with artichokes, which wasn't bad but had decidedly too few artichokes, and a carbonara for our second course. The carbonara didn't include any side dishes and was rather greasy and tough. The sauce was quite runny, nothing like what we've had at other restaurants in the valley. The waitress was rather surly and rude. We won't be returning.
Located in a very quiet village, surrounded by greenery. Free parking is nearby. They have a lovely wooden terrace with a view of the valley. In addition to the bar, they serve some traditional dishes and classic polenta. Friendly service, but limited selection of gluten-free options, despite them being recommended by the AIC (Italian Catholic Association). Prices are average for the area; certainly lower than in larger cities. Regarding the wine selection, there's not much to say; we're in a small village, so they focus primarily on local wines. It's fine for a quick stopover, but don't expect much excitement.
Quiet
Situato in un angolo meraviglioso, abbiamo apprezzato una breve sosta, paesaggio bucolico, terrazzo panoramico , cappuccino normal , niente croissant solo fette di torta medio piccole a 5 euro.
Since we were staying nearby, we wanted to try this restaurant despite the numerous unfavorable reviews. Unfortunately, we have to join them because the food wasn't good. Let's start with the food. Bagna cauda should be removed from the menu because it's an insult to Piedmontese tradition. While it didn't taste bad, it had a strange consistency, nothing like real bagna cauda. The choice of vegetables to accompany the sauce was also limited. The first courses also left much to be desired. The pappardelle with venison ragù were rubbery and there was very little venison, the same was true for the ones with porcini mushrooms, where the pieces could be counted on one hand. The service was also in line with the food. The staff were aloof and at times snobbish. Finally, let's get to the bill. For what we ate and the quality of the food, the bill was undoubtedly steep.
We popped in here on Sunday afternoon for a beer . After waiting an eternity we were charged 16 euros for 2 bottles of morretti . We got the feeling we had just been ripped off .

I went to this restaurant with friends, booking a few days in advance, and had a terrible experience. We chose it solely because it was the only one in town. The place actually has a great location and has enormous potential, but that's where the positives end. I don't feel like blaming the two very young men who served our table, as they were clearly novices, even though they tried to be friendly. We wanted to order two platters that were supposedly "local cured meats and cheeses," costing a whopping €18 each, to share among the table. But when we pointed out that we were three vegetarians and therefore should have added a few more cheeses and fewer cured meats, they told us that the platter was actually just cured meats and a few pieces of Fontina cheese. So we only ordered one platter, which still wasn't worth the price. At that point, we found ourselves waiting for the first course. It was a very long wait, a full hour and a half, even though the restaurant was far from full. My pasta (asparagus and pecorino romano), which cost a whopping €14—a must because it was the only vegetarian first course (we're talking about typical dishes, but there's not much that's typical about it)—was mediocre at best: overcooked, tasting of vegetable broth, and almost plain. Everyone at the other diners dismissed the pasta (venison ragù). Only the polenta concia was vaguely passable. The house wine was so acidic and had a strong, unpleasant odor of alcohol that we returned one of the two liters we'd ordered. When it came to the amaro, given the location, we were expecting something local, but instead we had to settle for Amaro del Capo and Montenegro. We wanted to eat good, honest food. We ended up paying almost €30 each for a less than decent first course, a mediocre platter divided among eight people (!!!), terrible wine, and a commercial amaro. I don't recommend it.
