Not a place to go get a “fancy coffee” (latte/cappuccino). Perfectly fine to order regular coffee and walk over to the self-serve coffee station. Not trained baristas. The wait for my latte was 15 minutes. Panera will give you a auto buzzer to alert when your meal is ready for pick-up so you can walk away and find a table, including “fancy coffee.” Nice selection of freshly made baked goods to choose from. Plenty of free parking in the lot in front of this location. If you don’t want to sit inside (mask are mandatory). There is a small outdoor patio dining area.

Good was very good and fresh, problem is that they mess up a lot of orders. Recommend picking up yourself and check the bags before you leave. The building itself could definitely be cleaner and kept in better shape .

Not the best Panera location I have seen. Coffee is never hot, restrooms are not clean. However food was amazing and staff are super helpful as per Panera standards.

Went through the drive through. How do they not have brownies! I’m so sad. Staff was nice. Didn’t go inside. But maybe it’s been awhile since I’ve been here. I got a mac an cheese an a small smoothie for $19. Like I can feed a whole family for cheaper at Starbucks lol.

Scramble egg croissant sandwich with country rustic bread, we added American cheese and extra scrambled eggs, they were both missing and I brought up to manager attention. Manager refused to admit she only gave me a part of my sandwich for my daughter, it’s laughable that this was the entire sandwich see photo attached! It’s missing the extra egg and a lot of bread!

So you are telling me, that I paid $30 for (2) half soup and half salad and this is how much salad I get? The lady at the drive through told me they ran out of romaine lettuce which is fine but to only get half of a half salad? IN EACH ORDER! Ridiculous

I went through drive through . I was the only vehicle! Purchased Grilled cheese Sandwich! The worker assumed what I wanted as my sides and choose yogurt. I had to inform him that he didn’t ask me if I wanted yogurt or anything ! He didn’t say nothing and said come to window, Then I informed him I had a phone number ! When I open my sandwich to my surprise neither was grilled and the cheese was melted. I called and reported to manager on duty and he stated that all sandwich are cooked correctly. I told him my sandwich is not grilled and it’s nasty . He then asked will I be back this evening . Please learn how to grill bread . At least toast it . This right here is a cheese melt

I’m a Panera Bread 🥖 Lover but I must say that this location is THEE DIRTIEST I’ve ever been too. I visited at 7:30am and it looked like no one cleaned the night before or that morning. The front door was filthy( finger prints, smeared food, etc.), the floors were dirty, the glass surrounding the pastries was DIRTY! I went to grab a few tea bags and all Of the canisters were dirty,… I’ve never seen anything like this at Panera Bread. I definitely will not visit this location again. I really need them to do a deep clean and have staff clean regularly throughout the day. YUCK!

This location disappoints with poor management and subpar service. Despite subscribing to the Sip Club, the coffee is frequently unavailable, leading to frustrating waits of 10 to 15 minutes for a refill. It's evident that the staff neglects regular checks on the coffee bar. To add to the dissatisfaction, the place is consistently dirty, with overflowing trash bins that seem to go unattended. I also experienced an issue where the coffee machine remained broken for an entire month. This unfortunate situation meant that, despite being subscribed to the Sip Club, I lost out on one month's worth of coffee while still being charged for the service. The Panera here in Walnut Creek falls short of the standards set by other locations, making it a regrettable choice.

Rather than close stores when employees aren’t available or offer higher compensation to attract more employees, this location operates on the cheap and burdens customers with long lines and even longer wait times. We arrived at 2pm and there were dozens of customers waiting to place orders - zero employees behind the counter so we used a kiosk. Ten minutes later a cook came out and yelled that orders were “45 minute waits”. Cancelling the order and getting a refund was painful and time consuming. Spent 30 minutes at the location and walked out with no food.

Avoid this location or you'll be sorry! The cashier wasn't able to even answer a basic question I had. The reply? "I just work here." Okay I get it. I was willing to let that slide until I saw how empty a half salad was. See attached picture. Then, there was all the dirty dishware at the bussing stations. My rating along with all the other 1 Star ratings should be a big red flag. I'm never coming back here. I'll go to Concord instead.

It was my second visit to this Panera Bread location. I accidentally ordered the wrong item, and when my food was ready, I realized it wasn’t what I intended to order. I went back to the cashier to request the correct sandwich based on the picture I saw online. The cashier asked me to pay again, so I ended up spending a total of $30 for breakfast — $15 for the first (incorrect) order and another $15 for the second one. I didn’t receive any reimbursement for the mistake. Although I understand it was my own error and mistakes can happen, I was still disappointed with how the situation was handled. I believe sometimes businesses should be a bit more understanding in such cases.

This review is specifically for the chicken salad sandwich, just wanted to state that other than the pricing being a bit higher than average, I generally have not had any complaints with Panera. The chicken salad sandwich is literally cat food smeared between two slices of bread and would not recommend it to your worst enemy. Which is honestly a shame because I've had it before (a few years ago) and it was delicious, there were shreds of rotisserie chicken, cranberries and walnuts lightly seasoned with a bit of mayo, WAS simple, light, fresh and delicious. It unfortunately has now evolved into a chicken PASTE which literally has the texture of a cat food pate. They have clearly changed the quality control of the ingredients and it is highly unacceptable. I suspect canned chicken or some other highly processed "version" of chicken. Absolutely terrible.
