Consigliatissimo!!!
I had dinner here over Christmas and had a wonderful time. The food was top-notch, and the staff was friendly and professional. I recommend everyone try the bersagliera...the first courses, second courses, and desserts are fabulous.
Amazing place and food! The staff doesn’t speak English, but they understand everything perfectly and they are really nice people. Family style place! 100% recommend
We got there absolutely randomly, but this place is 10/10 in terms of food quality and taste. I am not sure, but it seems like the whole restaurant is managed by family and the food is made directly by owners or something. The food is absolutely awesome, it is more tasty than some top notch restaurants in the center (I swear, it is hard to believe, but it is true). Had two pastas (caci e pepe and carbonara), it was first time in my life I took two servings, it is THAT good. Tiramisu is unbelievably good as well. I recommend this place A LOT!!!
A truly excellent experience. From the platter, we immediately confirmed the quality of the ingredients, with that toasted bread taking the experience to another level. Then the pasta... Perfectly al dente, with a delicious carbocrema and that peppery kick that, combined with the pecorino romano, truly enhanced the flavor of true Roman carbonara. Highly recommended.
I must admit that it truly reaches the peak of delicacies from appetizers to desserts, all homemade, typical Roman cuisine, excellent wines, in short, highly recommended and above all very reasonable prices, not to mention the friendliness and kindness of the owner capable of making us feel at home, the best of the best.
I think it's good to stop by the capital every once in a while. It's good for the heart. And every time, you meet old friends, chatting and reminiscing about the good old days. All this over a cold beer and some delicious food, which our friend Stefania and her mom kindly prepared for us, allowing us to fully enjoy their delicacies. When you're in the area, stop by... you won't regret it! 🔝❤️
Spectacular in the truest sense of the word....First time in Rome. I don't know where to go and I find this super mega restaurant....Truly excellent in every way. The only flaw? That I have to leave soon, but as soon as I get back to Rome I will definitely come here to eat, or rather, to taste every dish...
Top!!!
It was certainly a pleasant discovery, having stumbled upon it by chance while looking for a place to have lunch. We opted for the 15 euro set menu, which I must admit was good quality, starting with a generous appetizer of cold cuts and vegetables, followed by the main courses. The owner, Stefania, is very attentive to her customers, creating a pleasant atmosphere right from the start. I will definitely be back. Recommended.
Welcoming place and excellent service. The appetizer platter was generous, and the cured meats and cheeses were excellent. I had the cacio e pepe, which was truly among the best I've ever had. The pasta tasted homemade. I highly recommend it. Kudos to the staff and the owner, who is incredibly friendly.
Nice little restaurant, clean and bright, just steps from the northern entrance to the Cecchignola Military City. The service is quick and courteous, and the owner is very friendly and approachable. A good selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses, especially meat dishes. Good value for money.
Unfortunately, dinner was a disaster. Overcooked pasta and a raw sauce where salt and pepper reigned supreme. The house wine was mediocre. Paid, thanked, said goodbye, and... never again.
We went to this place for a business lunch. It was a decidedly negative experience: it wasn't the cleanest place, with cobwebs in the corners of the walls. The food wasn't top-notch, the starters were savory and revisited "my way," and, most importantly, the final price was 40% higher than agreed upon. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
Lunch arranged in advance for a group: appetizer, first course, and drinks for €18 per person (wine and dessert not included). Unfortunately, the experience was overall disappointing in several respects. Appetizers: Beans with pork rinds had a very weak flavor, polenta was excessively slow, flavorless, and had a sketchy sauce. Cold cuts were decent, with no particular negatives. First courses (Roman tradition): – Carbonara: generous portion but made with pancetta instead of guanciale, no cream sauce, egg partially cooked, and decidedly too salty. – Cacio e pepe: salt clearly predominates over pepper, a dish unbalanced. – Amatriciana: lacking guanciale and chili pepper, more like a poorly prepared pasta with tomato sauce. Many dishes were left unfinished.... After the first courses were collected, table service was practically lost. Service: Slow and sketchy despite the best efforts. No silverware was changed between courses; "you can keep them" (basic dining room rule) needed to be changed, and the sparkling wine was served in the same glasses used for wine/water, rather than flutes. Dessert was served without spoons; they were brought later and left in the center of the table, with the saying, "You eat with your hands!" Oh well... Drinks: Red wine on tap with a slight hint of vinegar, which still made it difficult to drink. The white wine was even worse. Dessert: Pandoro in irregular portions (about 1/3 of a slice), with uneven amounts of cream and Nutella among the diners, then brought back upon almost insistent request. Toothpicks were requested five times, but in the end...we finished them. All we had to do was say so. Hygiene and room maintenance: Cobwebs, dirty corners, glasses with insects inside (I'd put them upside down), and even a hair straightener left in the dining room: unacceptable. Bill: Final price was 38.9% higher than the agreed-upon price, justified after the fact by the cover charge, drinks, and dessert not being clearly agreed upon (dessert was paid separately by the group leader, however). ATM card not working, but receipt issued. I'd like to point out that I always hate leaving negative reviews, and given the many positive reviews, I'd like to assume it was a bad day. However, this is my second negative experience at the same establishment. To be fair, I should also point out that catering is part of my profession and that I've worked in the restaurant industry for years: what I wrote is a technical assessment, not an insult. Conclusion: There's significant room for improvement in the cuisine, service, hygiene, and pricing clarity. I'll refrain from posting photos....
Very bad restaurant, service was terrible. Waitress did not even try to be helpful. Ratings are very misleading here. The food was not proper like other restaurants in the area. Ravioli was frozen solid. Sent it back and it was still frozen when it came back. Salad had chicken in it but was very dry. Ricatoni alla boscaiola had very little mushrooms and salsicia in it and the taste was not fresh.
Unfortunately, I don't feel like leaving a positive review... From the moment we walked in, six of us were seated at two small tables for two in front of the door, when the place was half empty. We ordered €20 menus with a platter of appetizers and a main course (potatoes and sausage), a plate of carbonara, and a hamburger. The appetizer seemed to have been swapped for the main course, given the quantity. The pasta for the carbonara was practically raw, and the hamburger... I was shocked... I've never had a worse sandwich, cold and topped with ingredients not on the menu, like mustard sauce... not to mention the fries! These were also cold and soggy... I wouldn't recommend anyone to stop here... The place next door is much better, less refined but definitely better quality.
8:15 PM: It's all clear from the menu: (pasta all'arrabiata but it's not written Arrabbiata) From the outside location...I'd say welcoming...but then once seated it's truly a disappointment. Slow service....salami platter that arrives at 9:00 PM mediocre....not to mention the first course....I order a Gricia and I get a norcina....and they say are you okay with that? Obviously I tell them no...I wait some more and the gricia arrives...that was floating in raw pasta water...so I leave the plate there, get up, go to the cashier, pay and leave....
