Portion sizes are generous. I do like their banh mi’s and vermicelli bowls. The Yuzu is refreshing. This is a small spot, so indoor seating is limited. However, there’s also outdoor seating. Accessibility: there’s one step to enter. Parking: street parking is limited, but can try to find parking on another block nearby.
I absolutely love this place!! I am a vegan and love the options they have. I bring all my non vegan friends here to try the vegan dishes and they love it!! The service is amazing and the music is always great!!
I ordered Lucy’s on DoorDash and it is great pho. Definitely consider myself a foodie and I’ve had a lot of pho & Lucy’s is great. The broth is quite unique and the brisket is great quality, melts in your mouth. 5/5 for me and I will be ordering much more often
This place has the KINDEST and most ATTENTIVE workers! I am always able to eat safely here when I include my allergy in the notes, but I forgot to this time as I'm sick and out of it. I called to see if the store had already sent it out (they had, they are insanely fast) and the person on the phone offered to bring me a new order I can eat at no charge himself. Literally never had this level of service from a restaurant--these guys are the best.
one of the best pho’s ive ever had. Meat was SO tender it was amazing. Perfect for the cold weather. got pho’kd
I Love Lucys!!! Best vegan ginger 'chicken' banh mi you ever will have! Delicious pickled carrots, bean sprouts, aioli... yum! And their broth is so so good. Tastes like Christmas. Nice tip for your local business: order directly from their website. It takes one more min, but they get all of the profits. Vs. Seamless/Grubhub take an exorbitant amount of fees. <3 your neighbor
The food is amazing, I'm in love with the smoke brisket pho, a great portion of protein. The broth is so rich in its flavor. About service is the only thing I found a little cold, it seems they are so far used to serve and put in the counter so the delivery people come and take, forgot how to provide a good customer service even when the space to dine in is so so reduce (maybe 2 people).
I must say that this brisket pho truly exceeded all expectations. like mine precision in combat, every aspect of this dish was executed flawlessly. The tender brisket slices, perfectly cooked noodles, and aromatic broth combined to create a symphony of flavors that even Baba Yaga himself would appreciate. Each spoonful felt like a calculated strike, leaving me both satisfied and yearning for more.
Came here on a cold day and the staff were very accommodating. They closed the door so we could eat in comfort. The food was fresh, well flavored, and the perfect temperature to enjoy. Our server who ran the front of house was not only cool under pressure but funny af. Hearing his banter with customers and colleagues kept the mood joyful and light.
This is an awesome modern twist on Vietnamese food! And watching the Vice documentary really brings the story of this shop to life. The brisket pho is great with tons of noodles and brisket - I couldn't finish it all! And note that the broth is mushroom based instead of beef based, so you can truly have a vegetarian meal. The shop is tiny so expect to grab and go or wait for a spot to sit, but it's definitely worth it!
The broth is amazing! It is complex and has so much depth, also its vegan and vegetarian friendly. They stay open relatively late which is awesome. There aren’t many seats so you have to grab them if you can; there’s 6-8 seats total inside. I’ve had the chicken pho twice now and it is very good- the chicken is tender, the broth is so delicious, noodles good, all good. Great quality bowl of pho. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and having vegan options. I paid 12$ for my bowl + tip. Service is quick. If you’re in the area, I recommend stopping by.
Love the summer rolls, will be back for the pho! Very cute place for take out :) they dont take call ahead orders and they do take awhile to make the food and theres no place to eat really, but thats common in brooklyn Prices have HIKED here. 9$ for two summer rolls is diabolical
Dropped by Lucys after a comedy show nearby to grab a late night bite. We came just in the knick of time because they were about to close so we ordered smaller items to make it easier. I heard great things about their vegan pho here but wasn't hungry enough to indulge, so went with a tofu spring roll instead. Pretty good roll with all the usual fixings and a seriously addicting peanut sauce. I wish I had more time to try out their other options but the roll had me hooked. Overall, enjoyed this clean Viet spot and their desire to ensure us vegans had good options to select when dining here.
My regular Vietnamese spot was closed so I ordered here via DoorDash. I’d say it was quite tasty 😋 I had the shrimp bun noodle bowl and Vietnamese coffee. The only side note I have is that they split the shrimp in half. I’ve never seen that before anywhere…so it’s not really full shrimps in the pic. I’d order from here again in the future. But still prefer my regular spot.
Ordering from them is a gamble but it’s so good if it works out. I usually order online. Sometimes, the rolls are delicious, other times it’s dry and hard like it’s been left out. The chicken sandwich is usually pretty good. The vegan chicken is usually good. The brisket pho is a major gamble. There were a couple times when I got either mostly fat or mostly the dried out parts. I ordered in person last week and told someone about the meat- he was so sweet and gave me a better cut and said to make a request the next time I order. I just did and the meat came back even drier 😭😭 so idk, I’m still ordering but maybe taking a break from the brisket.
The staff are very sweet and my order was ready on time. I got the smoked brisket Pho and a lemongrass chicken and a brisket spring rolls. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were great, but the broth of the Pho was pretty bland. I added a lot of hoisin and chili oil to add some sort of flavor. The meat was great and tender though so I will be back to try a Banh Mi.
10/29/23 FOIL ON CHICKEN: I ordered take-out on the Seamless app. I was excited as it was my first time trying the food from this restaurant. To my disappointment, there was foil stuck on the chicken. I received a refund through Seamless, but am deeply concerned that other people may be ingesting foil like I did today. It is my own fault that I didn’t notice until I finished 2 out of the 3 summer rolls that were was foil on the chicken. I put my trust in this restaurant and the people who prepare the food, and that trust was quickly taken away. I don’t mean to undermine other people’s reviews as those reviews convinced me to order in the first place. But this was my experience and I may not be alone. EDIT: The bottled Vietnamese Coffee was good though, lol. And the food came relatively on time. Two stars for this.
We got the lemongrass chicken banh mi and the beef brisket pho. The lemongrass chicken just tasted like soy sauce. The chicken had alot of juice so it made the bread soggy. The beef brisket was really smokey. The pho noodles were alittle undercooked and the broth had little flavor. The viet iced coffee was very good though.
Had a horrible experience. Was coming off an absolutely horrible bout of food poisoning from Lucky Garden. After days of being sick, decided to get myself something fresh and nourishing and was craving pho. Walked over to pick up their chicken pho and when I came home, found that the chicken was dry and burnt (like it was premade and left in a warmer for hours). The broth was thick and grossly over flavored (like it had reduced over hours of sitting and evaporating the water out of it) I was so hungry that I had some of it anyway which I regretted because it made me violently ill! Called to ask for a refund and they laughed at me. Tried to email, but their linked email doesn’t work. Absolute trash and not to be overkill, but this was not pho by any stretch. It supposed to be fresh and nourishing. Avoid at all costs!
Why oh, why do you advertise ICED Coffee if there's NO ICE. To my misfortune, I didn't realize there wasn't any ice until I had paid and left. I couldn't even return because I was on a lunch break. I tried to enjoy it without the ice, but a cold coffee doesn't compare to an iced coffee, and the coffee itself was no good. I'm extremely disappointed because I've enjoyed their pho twice before and couldn't believe the bad reviews. Unfortunately I have to leave a bad review myself 😣 like just look at the difference between my coffee and the advertised version, even the color is all wrong 😭 after a stressful day the disappointment hits hard 😔
The broth tastes different than traditional pho. The noodles are breaking apart (see photo). This smells like someone who has never had pho makes a restaurant to try to make it better. Maybe catered for people who actually hate pho and want it to taste better. Cause what the hell is this broth made out of? Its green?? No taste whatsoever. The only thing good was the meat. Even the banh mi doesn’t taste like traditional banh mi. Spent $70 and want a refund but its a delivery order so i doubt it
