Trattoria San Carlo

Sono stata qualche gg fa' in occasione della cena con i miei ex colleghi....è una trattoria di cui sentivo parlare anche mio padre come "TARAN"..lui conosceva molto bene anche i proprietari..era di casa....Consiglio x cene e pranzi "come su facevano una volta" senza troppi fronzoli e...comunque cenato bene con antipasto bruschette...risotto alla milanese come primo e bolliti misti con salsine ..patate e prezzemolo...mostarda e dolce come da traduzione dato il periodo...panettone!...abbiamo cenato bene e noi in ottima compagnia!

È stato un piacere ed un onore conoscere il sig. Alberto e la sua famiglia. Cucina d'altri tempi, semplice e gustosissima. E i costi sono più che contenuti. Grazie per la bella serata trascorsa insieme

I stumbled upon this trattoria by chance. It was a wonderful experience. The prices are incredibly low; it's only open Thursday evenings and then during the week for lunch. You're really spending very little, but the quality of the food is worth much more than other trattorias in the area. You can find chickpea soup, pasta and beans, fettuccine with pesto ragù. Then, for the main course, every dish is fabulous, from the homemade meatballs, boiled meat, pork, oven-baked ribs, and grilled fish. And the side dishes are delicious, from baked French fries to boiled potatoes with green beans and parsley. The desserts are exquisite and homemade, from the warm strudel, pine nut cake, and finally a very special house liqueur, the agrumello. All for the simple price of €21, full menu. Thanks to the staff.

Want to step back in time and rediscover those authentic flavors of yesteryear? San Carlo is the place for you: authentic home cooking, excellent menus, and a wide selection. Pasta e fagioli, cooked just like my grandmother used to make, is a journey back in time. The restaurant is simple, but the service is attentive and very friendly.

I stumbled upon it by chance and it was a lovely surprise. The food is homemade and beautifully cooked, they have a wide selection on the lunch menu, and the family-run staff is top notch. I went back today for lunch with my son on our way back from Milan, and as I'd had lunch there before, I was once again convinced it's a great place. It's a classic trattoria, but if you're looking for quality, it's worth a try.

For work, I've tried several trattorias in Busto Arsizio. This is definitely the best value for money. Friendly staff, reasonable wait times. Simple, family-friendly, and quiet place! Perfect for lunch! RECOMMENDED.
