This is a roadside restaurant with free parking right outside. It has a large terrace, tables by the bar, and an indoor lounge. The facilities are very new, the service is fast and attentive, and the food is quite good. They have a €13 set menu, although they also have an extensive menu. It's a highly recommended place if you're passing through the area.

Si te mueves por la zona de Almargen, la Venta El Coto es una parada muy recomendable. Es la típica venta a pie de carretera con esencia andaluza, de las de toda la vida, donde el ambiente es cercano y auténtico. Ojo con esto: la reserva es más que aconsejable. Es un sitio muy frecuentado y no es raro que esté completo, especialmente en fines de semana. La propuesta gastronómica es sencilla, pero ahí está precisamente su acierto. Platos tradicionales, bien elaborados, con producto de calidad y sin artificios innecesarios. Cocina honesta, sabrosa y bien ejecutada, que cumple con creces y deja muy buen sabor de boca. En definitiva, una venta de las que merece la pena conocer si valoras la cocina tradicional bien hecha y el ambiente familiar. De esas que siempre apetece repetir.

El servicio muy atento y amable. Lo que comí la ensalada de frutos secos templada, bien. Respecto al San jacobo de cerdo no me gustó para nada es igual que los comprados congelado en el supermercado. Las chuletitas de cordero estaban aceptables

La comida espectacular!!! Éramos dos personas ( aunque en la cuenta ponga 4 comensales) y pedimos todo eso. Queríamos probarlo todo!! Donde menos te lo esperas te sorprenden !! TIENEN PAN SIN GLUTEN Todos los platos exquisitos sin palabras. La cocinera de 10!! Super apañada, salió a explicarnos algunas salsas y súper atenta. Pd: La ensalada de aguacate en la foto ya sale deformada,... No es esa la presentación.

No le pongo un 5 estrellas porque con la calor que hace en julio en esa zona, no te dejan acceder con el perro. Puntualizar que te dejan acceder en transportin. Pero en nuestro caso mover el transportin de coche y meterlo en el restaurante es aparatoso. Por lo demás todo perfecto, los camareros amables, baños limpios, comida buena y bien de precio.

Stopoed for a quick lunch of tapas. There was a limited choice at the time we arrived but the portions were copious and very good value for money. The service at the bar countr was fast and efficient. The main restaurant was open at the time but we were not that hungary for a full meal.

Well, I've stopped at this roadside restaurant twice, and one time was fantastic, the other a disaster I'd never return to. The good: the breakfast is superb, good coffee, toast with tons of spreads and toppings, quick and delicious! The bad: I ordered the set menu, which is very common here since most tables had it. That day, some of the starters were dishes I didn't like and didn't fancy. Since the main course was entrecote, I decided to only order half the set menu. They told us there were only two left, so we ordered both. When they brought them, one was actually a good entrecote, but the other was just a scrap of the loin—a piece they shouldn't have served at all, as it was inedible. It's a shame how they ruined the reputation of a place.

I’ll be honest, I came to write a somewhat negative review. Not out of spite for a bad experience but to be helpful to what other people can expect when dining here. What I did not expect was the absolutely genius responses to the negative reviews from the owner of the establishment. That alone was entertaining enough to make me bite my tongue a little bit and actually regretting not having met the man in question to shake his hand to congratulate him on his witty responses because they were done a lot more tasteful than the food we experienced. First I want to comment on this idea of critiquing food that has been served to you at the establishment. You never know who they are, what kind of day they have had, what their manners are not to mention what might show up hidden inside the food when returned to the table or even what would come out of that conversation off critique. So as the owner it’s easy to say that clients should complain but when you have children, you’ve been driving the whole day and you don’t wanna start a whole argument with someone whom you probably will never see you again... it’s hard to be as honest as you would actually want to be in an ideal situation. case in point, I once returned what was supposed to be a cooked salmon because it was smoked but the chef insisted that it only taste tastes smoked because the way it’s cut. So, yeah. It’s not always easy to be honest. That said, the food at El Coto wasn’t good. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful but it was certainly really greasy, even somehow the Caesar salad left a greasy after taste, which is the first time I can say I’ve experienced that from ordering a salad. In the other dishes, the fries were very uneven cooked, some nice and crunchy whereas some were soft and soggy (incorrect oil temperature?) . The croquetas were decent but I’ve never eaten fluffy croquetas, usually they are more dense and packing a bit of a bite, these were very different but tasted good. The Capocho had a interesting although not very pleasant combination of textures where most of it was easy to bite through and then one of the layers was, well I had to pick it up by hand and bite it off. It was really tough. I know that what we ordered was fried but I have never walked away with such an oversaturated feeling. Frying in oil is a bit of an art form that requires consistent and correct temperatures to avoid absorption of the oil into the food and I’m guessing this is where it fell short.

Nos deviamos 40 km específicamente para comer aquí. Decepcionante. Precios algo caros para calidad/cantidad. Entrecoz de cerdo, llegó frío y nada tierno con verduras congeladas. Lo mismo le pasó a mí sobrino. 2 platos de los montes q también llegaron fríos. Lo único q estaba muy bueno era el bacalao. Una de las camareras fué poco profesional por nó decir otra cosa. Pedí café con mí postre y me dijo directamente q primero postre y luego café.🤦 (valla q nó me puedo tomar mí café con mí dulce) Apareció con crema a la Catalana un cuchara sopera lo mismo al resto de comensales.

Mala experiencia. Al parecer es una venta de menús, en cuanto te sales de ahí te pierdes. Fuimos 4 comensales, las croquetas de jamón ibérico dejaban mucho que desear, a un precio desorbitado. El entrecotte de ternera (según ellos de 45 días de maduración) fue una catástrofe total: muy pequeña, fina y muy cocinada a pesar de haberla pedido al punto (encima costaba 20€). El cerdo estaba aceptable. En cuanto a vinos, nos dijeron que probásemos el vino de la tierra: nada más y nada menos que un vino fuerte, amargo y con precio de Ribera del Duero, ya que nos costó 16€. Los camarareros, sin embargo, muy atentos (aunque novatos) e intentaban agradar en todo momento. Desconocían vinos, puntos de la carne y olvidaron algunas cosas en la mesa. Lamento decir que no volveremos a pasar por este sitio, aunque esté en una ubicación perfecta.
