Una domenica all'insegna dell'allegria.
Consigliatissima.
Ci siamo stati ieri sera, antipasto, primo e secondo tutto molto buono!
I was already well-prepared upon entering, but La Locanda di Porco Po exceeded all expectations. You don't just come here to eat: you come to feel good. The cuisine is honest, generous, authentic, uncompromising. Each dish reflects a precise choice, a sure hand, and raw ingredients treated with respect. From the initial cured meats, intense and authentic, as they should be, to the traditional side dishes, to the rich and characterful first courses, everything arrives at the table with a clear identity and no pretense. The meat, then, is simply excellent: perfectly cooked, full of flavor, no frills. Serious stuff. The location is warm, welcoming, perfectly in keeping with what's on the plate. It makes you feel at home, but with that extra care that distinguishes an ordinary place from a truly successful one. The service deserves a special mention: attentive, kind, friendly, never intrusive. You can sense a genuine, human atmosphere, which is by no means a given these days. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered; in fact, more than fair. A beautiful evening, one of those that stays with us. And not by chance. Behind all this is Francesco, aka Porco Po: an authentic character with a clear vision, who has built a brand that thrives because it's credible, consistent, and recognizable. I sincerely wish him the best, because places like this are good for the restaurant industry and the city. I will definitely return. And I recommend it without hesitation.

We stopped by for a quick lunch before heading to Villa San Giovanni. It was recommended by Sicilian friends who always stop there, and they couldn't have recommended it better. We ate typical Calabrian cuisine, everything delicious, home-style. The owner was friendly and the staff were friendly. It felt like Sunday lunch at mom's house. Highly recommended!!!
Cosenza-style trattoria, offering traditional Calabrian dishes in a warm, friendly, and fun atmosphere, thanks to the delightful entertainment provided by the owner, a warm, kind, and cheerful person. He enjoys writing songs and singing them to his guests, creating a friendly atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent at reasonable prices. The rich terrine appetizer and homemade wine are excellent.
We had dinner at Porcopò tonight and it was a truly memorable experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, made even more pleasant by the friendly and attentive waiters, always ready to satisfy every need with a smile. The host is a delightful person: kind, hospitable, and witty, capable of immediately putting everyone at ease. The cuisine is top-notch: a rich and delicious appetizer, and for the first course, we chose the pork shank with Sila potatoes, a true delight. We would have also been curious to try the famous carbonara, which so many rave about, but unfortunately we didn't get to try it this time – we'll definitely be back! In short, a perfect evening of good food, an authentic atmosphere, and a warm welcome. A place you'll truly want to return to. Highly recommended!
"La Locanda di Porcopó: A Corner of Authenticity and Tradition in the Heart of Cosenza" "La Locanda di Porcopó" stands out as a true corner of paradise for those seeking authentic flavors and a warm welcome. It's not just a restaurant, but an experience that combines the authenticity of Calabrian tradition with the friendliness of the owners, creating a familiar and unforgettable atmosphere. A Journey Through the Authentic Flavors of Calabria The true strength of this place lies in its cuisine. Each dish is a tribute to authenticity, with recipes that seem to have come straight from family notebooks. The ingredients are carefully selected, resulting in flavors that transport you back in time. You can sense the passion in every bite, whether it's a traditional first course or a meat-based second course. It's sincere cuisine, without frills, that appeals to the heart and the stomach. Hospitality and Friendliness Make the Difference. If cooking is the heart, hospitality is the soul of "La Locanda di Porcopó." The staff and owners make you feel immediately at home. Their friendliness is never forced, but is part of a natural and contagious hospitality. They guide you through the menu with sincere suggestions, and their warmth transforms a simple dinner into an evening with friends. This warm, family-friendly atmosphere is an added bonus that makes the experience even more special. A Corner of Tradition in a Changing Cosenza In an ever-evolving city like Cosenza, this restaurant represents a solid anchor to its roots. "La Locanda di Porcopó" is proof that innovation can be achieved while keeping tradition alive. It's the perfect place to rediscover the authentic taste of Calabria, in an environment that envelops you with warmth and familiarity. An oasis of peace and flavor that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a culinary experience that goes beyond just food.
Porcopo in Cosenza is an experience that goes beyond a simple dinner. The restaurant is small and cozy, but this very characteristic gives it character and a special atmosphere. The menu is simple, without too many frills, but the quality is exceptional: every dish brings authentic flavor and attention to the raw ingredients to the table. The service is courteous, though with room for improvement. Porcopo's show, however, is truly unique and deserves all the popularity it has on social media: entertainment and cuisine blend together in a surprising mix. 👉 In Cosenza, you can skip many things, but not an evening at Porcopo.

Evening with friends. Truly good, quality food. The group, too, said it all: people originally from Cosenza. If you're in the Cosenza area, this is a must-visit for an evening of good food in true Cosenza tradition, and above all, a fun evening with the friendliness of the owner and all the staff. I returned after six months (July 12th) and tried the summer menu, and I wasn't disappointed either. The food is always good, and the owner and staff are always friendly. I think I'll be back as soon as I can. Greetings from Bologna and Modena
This is my first time at this restaurant, and I immediately sensed it would be a wonderful evening, even from the staff's warm welcome. The inn is very charming, right in the center of Cosenza. The evening, spent with friends and professors, was enlivened by a sumptuous appetizer, truly well-cooked and beautifully presented. The first courses were also excellent: the carbonara pasta with guanciale and the Calabrian fusilli with tomato sauce. The staff is always available to answer any questions. I will return to repeat this positive experience.

A new king is in town. Great restaurant, with traditional recipes from my hometown, reasonable pricing and super courteous service. Gnocchi tasted just like the ones my granny used to make, and antipasto was simply awesome. Hats off to Francesco and the entire staff, excellent dinner and a place I want to visit again.
Great food, lovely and polite staff 😊😊 I would definitely visit again.
Great place. Family run restorant, food is exellent and tipical Calabria. Love this place❤️

We visited this inn for dinner and had a very positive experience overall! The food is truly delicious, authentic, and home-cooked: you can taste the care taken in preparing the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere is cheerful and welcoming, made even more enjoyable by the owner's lively nature, who manages to engage everyone with his warmth and a touch of originality. The only thing that left us a little confused was the ordering process: we were pressured to choose too quickly, and the descriptions of the dishes were very sparse, with little detail—which left us feeling a bit confused. That said, it's a place we definitely recommend for a casual, fun evening, where you can eat well and feel at home.
We had lunch at Porcopò driven both by the obvious curiosity of its popularity and by a desire to try traditional cuisine. From this perspective, we were satisfied because the food was good, plentiful (even excessively so), and the flavors were authentic. The antipasto menu is extensive, but we would have preferred more variety (many pepper-based dishes), delicious bread, and flavorful first courses. The only downside is the service, despite Francesco's great commitment to making everything perfect (he personally spends time checking the fridge, bathrooms, etc.). The waiters are extremely pushy, constantly asking if they could clear various dishes from the table, and if we were about to finish, they would stand in front of us and then clear our plates—this for every course from the antipasto onward, and you can imagine how many there were. This excessive haste, however, didn't translate into attentiveness, because the first course arrived incorrectly, much to Francesco's disappointment. The waiters' insistence continued with the first courses, asking us repeatedly, "Have you finished? Can I clear it?" Then they stared at our plates to see if they could wait until we were finished or come back later to ask again. It certainly wasn't their intention, but we felt uncomfortable throughout the meal. It's not nice when a waiter stops at your table and stares at your plates to see if you're finished, asks you, and then waits there standing if you're almost finished. So, to be honest, the food was delicious. I'd gladly return for that, and I'd also return for Francesco's friendliness, the true soul of the place. But just as honestly, it was anything but a relaxing lunch. I didn't enjoy it, and we didn't. They need to work on their service, because if the customer doesn't feel welcome, there's a problem.
We visited this restaurant with friends. The food was overall good, with tasty appetizers and well-cooked dishes, but unfortunately the experience was ruined by poor organization. We ordered four appetizers, three first courses, two second courses, three side dishes, two waters, two Cokes, and a small wine, spending €42 per person. The main problem was with the first courses: they arrived served in a single pan, from which we had to portion out ourselves. In practice, we didn't get a proper individual portion, yet the cost was €15 per person, as if each person had their own dish. The service was confusing, the wait was long, and the management was sloppy. It's a shame, because the food is good, but the setting and organization really leave much to be desired. In short: food passed, experience failed.
