My wife and I made a reservation for 2 for a date night. We showed up 20 minutes early and we were seated almost immediately. The hostess was very polite and welcoming. Our waiter arrived a couple of minutes after we were seated and brought our drinks right away. We ordered our food and it was ready and at our table in less than 15 minutes. My wife ordered the filet mignon pasta and I ordered the grilled ribeye. The food was excellent and well worth the price. Our waiter was outstanding and made sure to check on us every time he walked by to ask if we needed anything. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great for a date night.
Went here for my birthday the other evening. Had never been here before. Sat by one of the big windows. Beautiful view of the hills as the sun was setting. Huge bar area and a beautiful outdoor deck with fireplace and hanging lights from the beautiful old tree outside. Everything we ordered was amazing. I had the scallop risotto. Let's just say the most tender and perfectly cooked scallops ever. The others in my party had sea bass and short ribs. Tasted each one and was very impressed. All bar drinks we order were very well balanced and went down very smoothly. Lol I enjoyed the siennatini. Yummy 😋 Lastly I had dessert. On the recommendation of the waiter we got the doughnut holes that came with 3 dipping sauces. I was thinking doughnut holes but they were so fluffy and tender. Great recommendation especially if you are going to share. How cute is that. Wish I would have taken more pics.
Delicious food for brunch and good service. Also was good before moving here from across the freeway. We'll be back to try the dinner at the new location, which has impeccable views atop the hills.
Brunch at Sienna was fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Our server Haley was friendly, attentive, and made great menu suggestions. The beigenets had a pillowy appearance and were delicious. Service was seamless from start to finish. A perfect spot for a relaxing and delicious brunch—highly recommend!
Wonderful dining experience! We had some of the most delicious food, hearty and filling with generous portions. We tried the ribeye steak and filet mingon pasta. Vanilla bean Creme brulee for dessert was so satisfying after indulging in some quality comfort food on a rainy evening. The service was prompt and helpful. You can really tell they value their customers. The ambiance was great, cozy and inviting. Would highly reccomend and will definitely be dining here again.
Easy to find, plenty of parking spaces available, indoors and outdoors seating areas. Simple menu. Great appetizers, drinks and delicious food, reasonable prices, decent size portions. Little loud, also next to a yoga club, can be a little annoying walking through a crowd of sweaty people lol to get to the restaurant.
We had a wonderful dinner at Sienna in El Dorado Hills last night to celebrate a birthday, and everything—from the setting to the service—was on point. Our party of seven was seated outdoors under a beautiful oak tree, which added a magical, relaxed ambiance to our evening. To kick things off, we ordered cocktails—highly recommend the Sparkling Blackberry Smash and the Spicy Mango Margarita. At $15 each, they were flavorful, well-balanced, and comparable to what you’d expect at any upscale restaurant. We started with salads and appetizers. I ordered the Tahini Caesar, which offered a creative twist on the classic, topped with a delicious pecan pomegranate chutney. Everyone at the table enjoyed their starters. For entrées, we had a little bit of everything. I chose the halibut special—perfectly crusted and served over cilantro rice with pineapple salsa and microgreens. It was fresh, light, and full of flavor. The Filet Mignon Pasta was also a standout at the table—rich and satisfying. My husband and a friend both went with the French Dip and raved about it. Our server was fantastic—attentive without rushing us, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely celebration. To end the evening, she surprised us with a festive birthday tray of donut holes that were fantastic and we all ordered a round of Irish coffees to toast the occasion. Sienna remains a solid choice in El Dorado Hills for a celebratory night out—great food, lovely ambiance, and thoughtful service. We’ll definitely be back!
We sat on the patio. They gave us a heater and offered us blankets which we declined (but appreciated the offer). We had a beautiful view and a delicious dinner. Our service was nice, knowledgeable and attentive. I got the salmon and my husband got spicy stir fry. We had bruschetta as an appetizer which was delicious and my husbands favorite app from anywhere in a long time.
Conveniently located Great service Kaylee was our Server professional, polite, and attentive Restaurant decor was beautiful stemware glassware plate wear small wears were all very nice. The views of the El Dorado hills were beautiful. I loved the old giant tree outside in the patio.
Oh my goodness, let me tell you about this incredible restaurant called Seana! It's like stepping into an enchanted garden, especially in the evening when you get to sit on their lovely patio. It's absolutely magical! Now, let's talk about the drinks. They are not only well made, but also incredibly tasty. You'll be in for a treat with every sip! And the food? Oh boy, it's outstanding! The flavors, the presentation, everything is just top-notch. You won't be able to resist! One thing that really stood out to me was their massive bar. It's got plenty of seats, so you can gather all your friends and have a great time. And guess what? They even have a private party room! How cool is that? But let me tell you, sitting on that patio was the absolute highlight for me. It's so romantic and charming, you'll feel like you're in a fairytale. Trust me, it's a fun restaurant that you absolutely have to try. So go ahead, make a reservation and get ready for an enchanting dining experience at Seana. You won't be disappointed! 💘
Great atmosphere to be able to sit on the patio during lunch and enjoy good food and drinks. The service was excellent too! Looking forward to coming back one of the evenings!
Love the new location! Menu is super yummy! Drinks are good! We sat outside this time, great ambiance.
The BEST restaurant in El Dorado Hills! I promise you, Sienna does not disappoint. The staff were super friendly from the moment we walked in the door and the service continued to be stellar throughout our dinner. Their food is absolutely delicious and came out very quick. The ambiance both inside the restaurant and outside near the fire create a pleasurable dinning experience that will make you feel relaxed and comfortable. If you are ever in the area, I HIGHLY recommend coming here!
As soon as you walk in, you can feel the atmosphere. it sets the expectation for a more diverse menu. But in reality, there are only three or four solid entrées, with the rest being mostly appetizers or salads. That said, the fries and the French dip were five stars—absolutely worth it. Overall, the place feels more like a high-end bar than a full restaurant. The bread looked freshly baked on-site, which I really appreciated, way better than the generic bread and butter most places serve. Still, with such a great vibe, I expected a more exciting selection of dishes, but the menu fell a little short. That being said, service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and the food I did order was solid. Five stars for those. Next time, I’ll be back for brunch and wine, maybe not for dinner.
This place rocks. Right next to Serrano in El Dorado Hills, it's in a quiet shopping center also next to the Bel Air grocery. Food and wine were great. Who has an 11$ Caymus wine that tastes great? Great service and recommendations. Thai chili Halibut, and Macadamia baked brie. Large cocktail lounge, and the dining room both have fireplaces. Very nice.
Nice restaurant with good ambiance and seating. For first time visitors it could be a little confusing as the restaurant is upstairs. You either take the steps or elevator. Friendly staff. Good selection available in the Happy Hour menu.
Chris was our server and he was great, very helpful and there anytime we needed. The ambiance is upscale with some level of dress code, with a middle-age to older crowd for most of the time I’ve spent at this restaurant. Menus are online and accurate. Kobe style BBQ burger with fries (modified with no bbq sub garlic aoili) 5/5 French dip with fries 5/5 Food seems very high quality, and we’ll for sure be back. Always clean. Apps are wonderful, especially the Brie. My fav is the Short ribs. Everything on the plate was good. Plenty of parking. When the weather is nice they have outside seating.
Sienna El Dorado hills is in the MOST beautiful setting of any restaurant in NorCal!! Pictures don't do it justice. Come at sunset with live sax and lanterns and a huge majestic oak to sit under (while you eat a luscious dinner!) to get the full effect. You will be spoiled for life. ♥️ Yes, it's that good!
Wonderful date night experience. I had filet mignon... everything was excellent. Didn't partake in alcohol, but the bar is iconic contemporary. Every seat filled on a Friday night. Better experience than Land Ocean.
Sage was our waitress tonight & she did amazing. She was so attentive & fast paced. If we asked for something it was there in less than 2 minutes probably more like 30-60 seconds. She was so sweet & if I come back I would love for her to be my waitress again.
My wife and I are always happy when Stephanie is working when we come into Sienna…she’s honestly one of the reasons we keep coming back! She’s incredibly accommodating, knows the menu better than anyone, and has this easy, welcoming vibe that makes you feel taken care of without being overbearing. Whether we’re eyeing one of the specials or craving something off-menu, Stephanie always has a suggestion that just works. She’s made custom tweaks and helped us discover some new favorites that we wouldn’t have thought to try. Her service is beyond measure, seriously, we walk in and always hope that she is going to be working. The food is consistently excellent. The short rib is next-level, melt-in-your-mouth good. If you’ve never had the cookies and ice cream for dessert, fix that now! It’s the perfect ending to a great meal, every time. Aside from the short ribs, it’s my favorite thing If we had one small wish, it’d be for the menu to get refreshed a bit more often. Some new seasonal dishes would be fun to explore. But honestly, the staples hold up so well that we always find something we’re excited about. The crew at Sienna is solid, but Stephanie is a standout. She makes the experience memorable, personal, and keeps us coming back.
visited Sienna Restaurant in El Dorado Hills recently and had a great experience. I tried a couple of their American grill and seafood dishes, and both were excellent fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The environment was also a highlight. The place feels warm, relaxed, and upscale at the same time, making it easy to enjoy the meal. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, it was a solid dining experience, and I would definitely come back again.
Sage was the best server ever! She’s super charismatic & was able to handle our 20+ person table amazingly! 10/10 service! Megan at the bar made me an amazing raspberry lemon drop!
I came here for lunch with my friend to celebrate her birthday. We sat out on their patio beneath and large beautiful oak tree. The patio was beautiful! I've been to Sienna several times and it never disappoints. We both ordered the chicken avocado salad. It was delicious! Lots of chicken and other yummy stuff. I highly recommend this place for either lunch or dinner. I know we'll be back soon!
Had a great experience at Sienna ! It was a work dinner party so a lot of people and Sage was the perfect waitress for it! Food was also amazing!! Thank you sage! And shoutout to the bartender Megan! She was also great!
My firm hosted a holiday luncheon at this fine restaurant. The staff did an excellent job keeping staying connected to our needs. Great martinis, appetizers and entrees. The Scallop Risotto was incredible.
Megan was my bar tender tonight & she was so quick and attentive. The drinks for my friends & I were really good. She’s the best bar tender they have!
Excellent Steakhouse in El Dorado Hills ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had dinner at Sienna Restaurant in El Dorado Hills last Friday night with three friends. Party of four ordered two Grilled Ribeyes, a Grilled Filet Mignon, and the Sparkling Salmon – all excellent. The ribeyes were cooked right, good quality beef. Filet was tender with a solid porcini cream sauce. The salmon with the honey-nut crust was very good – different preparation than the usual. Sides were well done – the loaded smashed potatoes, green beans, and asparagus all came out properly cooked. Service was good throughout – professional, timely, knew the menu. The place has a nice atmosphere – upscale without being stuffy. Good choice for a special occasion or just a solid dinner out. If you're looking for a good steakhouse in El Dorado Hills, Sienna delivers. Would recommend.
Great service, beautiful dining room, decent size menu. The food was good, I'd say 4/5. I was expecting a little more creativity on the flavor profiles. The lamb wasn't that great. I had 1 bite and pit it down. The ahi nachos... I am going to be a stickler on this one since I made these 30 years ago and would sell out... Please grind the ahi. Cubes don't do it. Leave off the aioli. Add the classic soy lime vinaigrette. They don't have to be complex. Just good quality and thought put into it. Same with the bruschetta. Too many layers of flavors. Keep it simple. It saves you on food cost and makes the guest want to come back for more!
This was the first time to Sienna at its new location, though it’s been there for over a year. We’ve always enjoyed the ambience of the old location. They did try to bring that feeling over. I made reservations about a month in advance and was surprised to find that we only got a booth in the bar. Maybe it was because there was only two dining, but it was a little disappointing and loud. Our meal was fantastic. We started with the bruschetta and had a starter Cesar, then moved into Prime Rib and SeaBass for our main course. We didn’t feel like we were being rushed, though it was a very busy night. Our waitress was on point. Being from the Bay Area, we have some really amazing fine restaurants and now living in El Dorado Hills, we are very limited to nice restaurants so Sienna is a pleasure, well worth a visit.
Amazing atmosphere, great service & food! Dishes ordered - Brie peach appetizer, beef short ribs, filet mignon stroganoff and berry cheesecake. It was all delicious but my dinner companion didn’t care for the filet mignon pasta.(had a few bites and agree). We’ll definitely return! Wait staff was phenomenal too.
We had lunch today at Sienna and ordered the salmon sandwich, the crispy calamari, and the Kobe cheddar burger. The salmon sandwich and the calamari were excellent, but I was disappointed with the burger. The meat was too large, more like a steak, and lacked flavor. On the positive side, the atmosphere was great, though the service could have been more attentive—our waitress only checked on us every 20 minutes while we were seated outside.
The place is beautiful but upon entering on this rainy day there were two women smoking by the front door so you get a whiff of the cigarette smoke before you enter. Our waitress was nice but as we got our food we noticed missing items on our food. We tried to get our waitresses attention but instead of our waitress the other waitress noticed we needed help so she told our waitress of our dilemma. Only after 15 minutes we finally got the missing items and even though there was 4 other tables with customers we were able yo eat. Food was tasty and delicious. I like the atmosphere of the place. Gorgeous for the holidays if you like something fancy. The staff are nice. I found it funny that our waitress thought I was paying for the meal nit realizing that my 21 year old son makes the money and he paid it. She kept giving me the check and receipts. Never look down on people just because they like yo dress down when they are out and about. We still like to eat good.
Wonderful ambience. Romantic place for a date or a girl's night. Our server was Sarah and she was fantastic. Great recommendations, upbeat, thoughtful, careful, and friendly. Appetizers, Entrees, and dessert were all beautifully plated and delicious! It's rare I give 5 stars and one of the reasons I didn't is because we've been to 5-star restaurants who will bring our leftovers to the back and box them nicely for us (It's a nice touch!). Highly recommend Sienna Restaurant.
I had the spring greens salad with crostini, avocado, chopped nuts and a sweet balsimic dressing followed by the Halibut with spicy Thai sauce & cilantro rice. The salad was very good and something I would recommend. The Halibut was prepared nicely, it had a good sear, flaked well and was not dry. The sauch was a little spicy but not too much. The rice was a nice side for the dish. The atmosphere was nice and peaceful (it was sunday night) and the view from some of the tables was of the rolling golden hills El Dorado county. I pared my meal with the house pinot grigio. It was a great meal.
Best brussel sprouts ever (hint, laced with bacon and maple syrup). Short rib slow cooked was yum. Nice wine selection too
The initial impression after getting to the restaurant wasn’t too good. We had to wait for 30-50min to get a table even though we had a reservation. And the hostess at the reception desk wasn’t too friendly. But once we got seated I enjoyed the experience. The servers were extremely friendly and accommodating. Loved the food, drinks and desserts.
Sienna is a beautiful restaurant. Some of my food was not as hot as it should be. The flavors were good. It's a bit pricy.
The place has a nice upscale atmosphere. Food is good. Pricey, not much value but the atmosphere is nice for a large group. A bit noisy for a date. Go there for the atmosphere and drinks.
Came here first time for my husband's birthday dinner. Atmosphere overall was nice, had a view, however table next to us was super loud, I had to move seats with my husband to be further away from them. Our server did overall good job but kept forgetting to bring simple things that we ordered like bread and water. She either had too many tables to serve or just needed to take notes. I wish I could rate the food a 5, but it was overall a 4. Mushroom soup had too much pepper, I barely ate it, it was burning my throat. My husband however enjoyed his ahi tuna nachos. My prime rib was way too thick and super salty on sides from seasoning, I had to cut all the sides off because of that. However, the mashed potatoes and asparagus were cooked perfect. Husband had the portobello burger that he said was good. We also tried donut holes and creme brulee. Donut holes were way too sweet, they were in powder and sugar. They did had kids menus, so it's kid friendly restaurant. Kids had chicken strips with frys and apples and ice cream sundae.
Service and is slow at bar. 3 bartenders chatting with each other and not acknowledging us. Food is great and good wine selection but as always service needs to improve.
I came in this past Friday for dinner with my mom and mother in law, and it was spectacular! I ordered the Salmon Beet Salad and it was delicious and so fresh. One of the servers was so sweet, she ran our food and stopped to make sure everything was perfect for our needs. We had a lovely conversation and she made the experience that much better! I believe her name was Audrey? I may be wrong, but overall a great place to dine. I recommend to anyone (:
Great food. Our celebration could have been better if our waitress was more interactive and attentive to our party of 10. Poor food service put a slight damper on our celebration.
We drove 40 minutes out to try this place, and honestly... it was just okay. The spot itself is beautiful--both indoors and outdoors are super cute and classy. Aesthetically, they've nailed it. Everything from the decor to the food presentation was really well done. We ordered four dishes, and the mini beignets were the clear standout--warm, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. The Prime Rib Benedict came with really tasty potatoes, but the prime rib itself was pretty plain and lacked flavor. The Filet Mignon Pasta was unfortunately even more bland, and the mushrooms tasted burnt which really threw it off. For dessert, I had my first-ever crème brûlée and I actually loved it--creamy, smooth, and now I get the hype. I also tried bottomless mimosas for the first time, and... turns out I'm not a mimosa girl. Definitely more of a cocktail type. Service was on the slower side, but it was busy so it's understandable. Prices were slightly high considering the food didn't fully deliver on flavor, but everything looked great. Overall, not a terrible experience, just not quite worth the 40-minute drive for me. If you're going for the vibe and a cute spot to hang, it's solid--but if you're looking to be wowed by the food, it might fall short.
Love the ambiance and great bar service. We didn't make a reservation and didn't want to wait for a table so we had dinner at the bar. We decided to try different appetizers vs dinner. We ordered coconut crunchy shrimp, bruschetta and short rib appetizers. All tasty but all mainly fried or fatty, it didn't sit well with the tummy, lol. But again, it was fun. I'll just order differently next time:)
As others have stated, the restaurant itself is beautiful, but that’s all that’s good about Sienna EDH. The food is terrible, in every way possible, I’ve had better tasting food at 1-2 star places We ordered a chicken Parmesan and a pasta. The pasta was alright, but the filet mignon was bland, cold, and rather ghastly to eat. The chicken parm on the other hand was stale, also cold and the crust was really bad, as it was done improperly. The noodles were good though, but how can you go wrong on those? Wait time to be seated was good, and they have some nice seats with good views but the rest that follows sunk the ship that should’ve had a successful sail Firstly , Service was substandard, although I appreciate the waiters efforts, they are understaffed and some of the waiters don’t really look like they want to be there. Ultimately , paying 100+ $ at a place that served food as such is more than disappointing and I don’t think I’ll be returning unless it’s for drinks, in which they have a decent bar for and patio area , but the chefs either need to be replaced or retrained on how to make simple dishes
Took wife for 70th birthday and. Advised them ahead of time and the waitress about the birthday. No “comped” desert for the birthday girl. $183 for 2 people and management put one.little candle in the donut holes and charged us for them. Sorry but if management is that CHEAP after a $183 price we will go elsewhere. Everything else was okay but what a sad bunch. Heck I wonder if they charged for the candle and napkins too?
We’ve been to Sienna once before and it was great. But when we went tonight it felt very rushed, we didn’t get greeted when we came in. It seemed short staffed, our waitress couldn’t spend the time to talk to us about the bill or talk about our food options. It felt like we were an inconvenience and no one had time for us while we were in the restaurant.
I came to Sienna with high expectations, but the experience was honestly disappointing. Our server didn’t seem to know anything about the menu , every question I asked was met with a confused look and no real answers. Instead of helping, she would just make a face like she was annoyed or clueless, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable. On top of that, the food came out wrong and took way too long. By the time it finally arrived, it wasn’t even what I ordered. For a restaurant that’s supposed to be nicer, the service and timing were really not it. Definitely not an experience I’d want to repeat.
