Casi nos quedamos sin comer en viernes santo por una retención en la AP7 de 3 horas, pero el chico que nos atendió, que fue el mismo que nos llamó por teléfono (en el ticket ponía Alex) fue nuestro ángel de la guarda. Nos llamó enseguida por una anulación en el segundo turno y nos hizo la reserva y, cuando llegamos, habían anulado una mesa en vitrina y nos reubicó para que estuviéramos mejor aún. Gracias por salvarnos el día festivo y por atendernos tan bien, buscando que estuviéramos cómodos e interesándose por las intolerancias alimentarias, explicándonos incluso la elaboración para nuestra tranquilidad. Personas así deberían dirigir negocios.

No conozco el hotel, no puedo opinar. Solamente voy al restaurante, porque vivo en la provincia de Girona.

Comimos una paella espectacular, repetíamos no defrauda. Pedimos pescaditos y buñuelos bacalao que también riquísimos. Es trato estupendo,rápidos al servir y vistas a toda la playa, qué mas se puede pedir.

Es un lugar familiar y acogedor, todo el personal es muy amable y atento. Está situado en un lugar excepcional justo delante de la playa. Tienen un restaurante con un producto espectacular. Sin duda repetiremos la experiencia tanto del hostal como del restaurante.

La reseña es para el restaurante. Fuimos a comer entre semana y quedamos altamente satisfechos. Las alcachofas son espectacularmente buenas. Los calamares también nos gustaron mucho. Como plato principal pedimos un arroz del senyoret y estaba muy muy bueno. Felicitaciones a todo el equipo de cocina! El servicio también muy amable y servicial. El establecimiento está delante de la playa pero no en la arena, con vistas al mar. Valorando calidad-servicio-localización-precio, es 100% recomendable

No suelo escribir reseñas. Buscábamos un sitio para comer un arroz negre. Y encontré este Hostal restaurante, a pie de la playa llafranc, reservamos por la web. Y no nos ha defraudado, sitio inmejorable , servicio impoluto. Super amables. Pedimos de entrante, calamarcets super tiernos, mejillones marinera con una salsa buenísima, y ensalada de l’hort. Y luego el arroz negre, super bueno!!! Recomendado para volver !!

Fuimos a comer un grupo grande de amigos y el trato que recibimos fue de 10. El arroz muy bueno y todos los entrantes excelentes, se nota que el producto que tienen es de calidad. Ademas los camareros y el jefe de sala super educados y simpáticos. Sin duda 100% recomendable!

Hemos comido aquí un domingo, el ambiente es espectacular, con vistas a la cala y al mar, de vez en cuanto hay algún músico que se pone ahí cerca a tocar también. El diseño del restaurante es muy bonito y moderno, hemos estado de día pero seguro que de noche también es súper bonito! La comida 10/10, hemos probado algunos entrantes (calamares y croquetas súper ricos!!) y luego… paella de zamburiñas, la mejor que haya comido en mi vida posiblemente. La salsa completaba todo perfectamente.. una maravilla!! Único detalle que cambiaría es que entre entrantes y primer plato hemos esperando media hora o más… a otras mesas que se ocuparon más tarde, el arroz llegó antes… no hemos entendido qué pasó pero cabe la probabilidad que se equivocaron y llevaron nuestra paella a otra mesa jajaja!

Una joya gastronómica frente al mar en Llafranc Este restaurante, ubicado en primera línea de mar en Llafranc, es una auténtica referencia gastronómica en la Costa Brava. Cada visita es un acierto seguro. Su carta es amplia, variada y de una calidad sobresaliente, ideal para quienes valoran el buen producto y la cocina bien ejecutada. El pescado es de lo mejor que he probado en la zona, siempre fresco y perfectamente cocinado. El arroz, lleno de sabor y con el punto justo, es otro imprescindible. Y si buscas algo más delicado, no te puedes perder el tartar de atún ni el carpaccio de gamba de Palamós, auténticas delicias. Además, para los amantes del vino, tienen una selección excelente y muy cuidada, con etiquetas que maridan perfectamente con cada plato. Se nota que hay conocimiento y mimo detrás de cada elección en la carta. El servicio es inmejorable, atento, profesional y con un trato cercano que hace que la experiencia sea aún más especial. Sin duda, uno de mis restaurantes favoritos de toda la Costa Brava. Un lugar al que siempre quiero volver. Un must absoluto en la zona.

Tuvimos una comida muy agradable. El servicio atento y ágil y de comida pedimos Sonsos y mejillones marinera de entrante (a destacar los mejillos que estaban espectaculares con un toque dulce en la salsa que nos dejó locos) y de segundo el arroz de calamar y zamburiñas. La única pega es que el arroz estaba pasado de sal, se podía comer pero realmente estaba bastante salado y eso al final opacó el sabor real del resto. De postre tartar de fresas y Xuixo a la brasa (ambos increíbles y originales). A pesar del tema del arroz, repetiríamos porque valió la pena. 53€/pax

We stayed here for two nights in September. We had a room facing the sea with a balcony. This hotel is well situated so that the sea View is excellent. Not blocked by anything and you can see the length of the beach. If you are visiting this part of the world, do yourself a favor and get a room with a view. This is not a luxurious accommodation. But priced fairly vs other places nearby. Do your research. The staff was great, the owner was friendly. Locals tell us the restaurant is very good. Llafranc is supremely charming. Great beach. Chill vibe. Great views. We walked to Tamariu and back in a day. Six hours. Stunning views. Then we walked to La Fosca in about four hours.

Which dish symbolizes summer 😎 for you? For me it's paella 🥘. It's been paella since I came to Spain 🇪🇸 so many years ago. Picture this: you are at a restaurant on the beach 🏖️, the sun is shining, the weather is sweet, make you wanna move 🎶... sorry about that! 🤪 But yeah, no need to imagine anything, I had this same experience a couple of weeks ago at La llagosta, in Llafranc, Costa Brava. We went there with friends and shared some tapas, black rice and fideuà. OK, before I talked about paella, cause it's the concept of eating something cooked in a paella... which is just a pan in Spanish. So, black rice is rice prepared in a seafood broth with some squid ink, and fideuà is pasta prepared in a seafood broth. Both are topped with seafood. Sounds simple, I know, but make good rice or fideuà is art. 👏 Everything was great. In particular the fideuà, packed with seafood, and the rice, which was slightly less tasty but perfectly cooked: chewy yet still a little hard. 👍 The clams were super flavorful but they seemed undercooked (which is impossible, in theory, cause they're cooked when they open). That didn't bother me but some other guests were not so happy about that. 🤷 The dessert was ok, but really nothing special, and I might as well have skipped it. 😐 The service was impeccable, the location perfect, as I mentioned before, and the price was still reasonable given the location and the quality of the food. Note that they charge for the bread and olives. Not too much: 1€ per guest, but that will always bother me, especially when the bread is bad like this. If there's room to improve, that's here. . . . Quality & taste: 9/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 9/10 Service: 10/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10

with an unbeatable location right on the seafront, where waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying a morning stroll is pure magic; the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile, while the rooms, though simple, are clean, bright, and comfortable, especially those with sea-view balconies; the restaurant serves excellent fresh seafood and rice dishes, and breakfast is plentiful and tasty, all enjoyed on a lovely terrace overlooking the beach; although some rooms are a little small and there’s no lift, the overall charm, service, and authenticity of this hostal make it a perfect choice for anyone wanting a warm and memorable stay in beautiful Llafranc.

Must eat here! One of the best in Costa Brava. We came here twice during our trip and everything was delicious. The baby scallops are a must and so are the prawn croquettes. The baby squid was cooked to perfection and the small fish with egg and truffle flakes *chefs kiss* the artichokes were also stunning. The only dish we didn’t love was the spider crab. It was too much sweet potato and not enough crab. Desserts were all amazing as well. The best was the chocolate coulant followed closed by the cheesecake. Don’t miss out, book for the air-conditioned deck area. They get super busy for all meals all day long!

Food is delicious and very fresh and a good choice of drinks also. Recently the patio area has been refurbished and looks very smart, always worth booking as they are usually super busy.

Hiking from Palamos to Bergur and I was so lucky to discover this place, I stopped by just for a coffee but ended up with Mediterranean mussels for starters and cod with prawns for main. Excellent food, freshly cooked, fresh, nice portions, innovative sauce, ah my, it was so good and beautiful Nerea, made my day, friendly and kind, excellent service too.

What a special place and the best value around. The rooms are simple but clean and has everything you need for a week, perfect for a couple. The location is unbeatable in the heart of Llafranc. Our favourite restaurant which we save for our last night every year. We were on the terrace and tonight both went for monkfish - both dishes were delicious - a skewer and a monkfish with seafood. Hicimos la Garoïnada. Los erizos (14, porque no eran muy grandes), bien limpios y excelentes. El arroz, un poco fuerte, pero también muy sabroso. El catxuflino de pies de cerdo y cabra de mar, también era potente; pero realmente bueno.A 65€ el menú, no es económico (era de los precios medios de los restaurantes que la hacían), pero nos trataron bien.

Fuimos a cenar, las croquetas estaban buenisimas, al igual que la tortilla abierta, pero los mejillones estaban muy aceitosos, los he tomado otras veces mucho mas ricos ahi. Recomendable reservar y no en la terraza, por el calor.

The service was excellent, though I can understand why some might find it a bit confusing at times. The wine list was impressive and well-curated. While I appreciate the effort to offer creative dishes, the food itself was just okay—I’ve definitely had better. Perhaps it was the particular dishes I chose. Its difficult to judge service when there are 5-6 people serving, but what to do if the one person you get that one evening is just not capable of doing his job? Its not fair for the other people working there, but what else to do when you are going to a restaurant with good reviews and paying more than 50€ per person, but the service sucks? We usually always give tip when we like the service and I cant remember the last time we did not. But unfortunately it happened today. To the management of the restaurant: make sure ALL your staff is properly trained. Doesn't matter if they are students who do a summer or people having a full time job. The person who served us had a huge amount of attitude, polite yes, but before even finishing our order or request, he already moved on and away from the table. At 10pm, without asking for the bill, we got told that people are waiting for the table and we had to leave. I have no problem with that. BUT, then also serve us quicker, remove used plates, ask us for the next order, etc. . Dont just ignore. In a nutshell: awesome food = very good chefs, poor service = at least with us that evening. There is room for improvement.

We had the seafood paella and it had 1 prawn and lots of unknown pieces of seafood, also for €44 euro for 2 people (just the paella) it wasn't the best value. Fuimos expresamente de Barcelona a comer a Llafranch, para venir al restaurante. El dia 14/11 hago la reserva por la web y nuestra sorpresa cuando llegamos es que el restaurante está cerrado. Creo que se merece reseñar esto. Si esta cerrado que tengan en cuenta no dejar hacer reservas por la web o anuncien que está cerrado. Tan sencillo cuanto esto.

Ya habíamos ido más veces y habíamos comido genial así que decidimos repetir. Para nuestra sorpresa fue una decepción. Pedimos ceviche de gamba que llevaba más tomate que otra cosa, y 4 gambas contadas. También pedimos sonsos que tenían el rebozado blando. Pedimos dos arroces; el negro con calamares y el seco con zamburiñas. Ambos arroces mucho más secos de lo que deberían estar. Además, escogimos el primer turno y la señora que había en sala organizando a las 14:40h nos vino a echar literalmente cuando aún no habíamos acabado ni de comernos el plato de arroz y de malas maneras. Muy mala experiencia. No volveremos a repetir.

Restaurant. We tried to eat there (16/9/25) but the immensely unpleasant waiter at the door was so rude we couldn’t do it. Why would such a nice popular place employ such an unwelcoming individual? They must want to reduce numbers of patrons.

The conditions were far below satisfactory and much worse than in the pictures. Everything is old and shabby. But the main problem was the unbearable sewage smell. When we complained, we were told we were just unlucky because it had rained the day before. Maybe so, but apart from the smell there were many other issues as well. Their solution was to spray some kind of liquid in the room, which of course didn’t help. The entrance to our room was literally through the restaurant kitchen downstairs, next to a public toilet and among restaurant customers. Our windows faced the backyard, where all the kitchen noise could be heard perfectly — clattering dishes, garbage being thrown, bottles crashing right under the window. With very old windows, there was no way to block this noise. This hotel does not correspond to its rating or the positive reviews. The photos online are very professional and heavily edited, but in reality the rooms are old, with no AC and no hairdryer. We couldn’t sleep the whole night (I managed only 4 hours) because of the constant noise. The hotel’s own restaurant was noisy until 1 AM, and at 6:25 AM the clattering of dishes started again. On top of that, street noise continued until 2 AM, making it impossible to rest with the window open. This is clearly a systemic problem, not a one-time issue. We appreciate that the manager agreed to cancel our reservation. However, the overall conditions of Hostal La Llagosta were very disappointing. We moved to another hotel on the coast at the same price, and the difference was shocking — it felt as if Hostal La Llagosta should cost five times less. I would understand if the price was around €70 per night, but definitely not €150.

We visited this restaurant late in the evening after a long trip, with a small appetite. Unfortunately, we felt pressured to order more food and were informed that the kitchen was closing soon. Despite eventually ordering in English (not our native language) due to the waiter's preference, one of our two dishes was forgotten. The waiter's reluctance to engage with my wife's attempts to speak Spanish and the subsequent oversight in our order were disappointing. Additionally, having to dig out the check from a pile of at least 20 pieces of candy felt inappropriate and unprofessional. If the intention was to insinuate we were being cheap, it was certainly effective, especially combined with the pressure to order more. Although the food was good, it did not match the quality of similarly priced restaurants nearby. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we hope the restaurant will take this feedback to improve their service.
