Love the fried sushi and the spicy mayo .
Oishii Express has some great chicken teriyaki bowls. They have excellent customer service. My daughter and I had a little dinner date and they were able to accommodate her plate. They gave everything on the side for her. Boba drinks are delicious. Over all it was great experience, great service and great food.
Delicious food. Great presentation. Highly recommend the Cherry Blossom roll. The seaweed salad and tempora shrimp was also yummy. The fish tasted very high quality and fresh. Will definitely come back!
I am glad to finally have a good sushi place here in Madera, I Had the Cherry Blossom Roll and it was very good. Staff was very friendly and service was fast. Restaurant was clean and the menu has a lot of variety. Price is on the higher end. But it was good! Will be back.
As a first timer and not being from here. This place is delicious 👌 my 11 year old boy and 10 year old girl loved it. We order more after the first round. We had tiger roll, Godzilla roll and spider roll. We will be coming again. New flavors for sushi lovers
Always excellent bacon fried rice. The Red Dragon Roll was pretty spicy this time, was delish, but the hot intensity is not always the same. Husband is not able to tolerate spicy due to ulcer & past H.pylori DC...going to have to get the regular Dragon for him next time
Very great people, had the spicy tuna very delicious. Thank you again
Best dang sushi best customer service best fried rice best chicken salad everything is so good I can't wait to go back 😋 beats having to go all the way to fresno they r nice helpful u may have to wait but its so worth the wait food come to you piping hot the serving portions are really good too. Hope u all enjoy my review next time I'll take some pictures.
Awesome sushi experience and the best spot in the area. Definitely worth it, and has a warm and comfortable atmosphere. It's also very conveniently located and the area has very easy parking. I highly recommend the tempura and the sashimi.
So I didn’t know this place was available. I would always go to Fresno. I highly recommend this place very authentic, reasonable price and the quality of sushi is awesome. I order through phone every time. The food is amazing every time.
I been here before and the food is good. But the true reason why I will be going back there is bc of the boba. I'm always going to Fresno or Merced just for boba. There's been a few place that tried in Madera but they don't even compare at all. So I hope you guys don't get bored of me for being there all that time. 😋
I have not tried this location, but their Fresno location is AMAZING! We eat there a few times a month! Family owned business and love coming also because the family is so friendly. Never had a bad experience!
Food is great and the prices are fair. The spicy miso ramens the best I've had in California so far and best priced too.
While charging my car at the Electrify America in this shopping center, I wasn’t expecting to find excellent sushi, but I found this place and it’s terrific! The Cherry Blossom Roll and the Spicy Sunshine Roll are wonderfully flavorful!
The food there is amazing! The portion is also very generous! I also developed the crave for the newly sashimi salad they have! It has an amazing flavored and to top it of, the price is fairly low for the amount of food I got. I would definitely recommend this to all of my friends
The food was chef kiss, the rolls I ordered had astronomical taste texture and quite filling, I enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant, the bacon fried rice so simple yet so flavorful. The salmon don I ordered was flaky/delicate full of flavor, I highly recommend this small sushi restaurant. Really inexpensive great food.
This place has some amazing sushi! I love their sashimi salad, the amount of fish and it’s portion was very generous and the flavor is awesome! I only ordered one serving but it fed at least three people. The portion they serve is very generous! I love their dragon rolls and their cherry blossoms rolls, the flavor explode in my mouth.. to top it of, I also love their boba drinks.. it comes with different flavors and jelly… overall.. it’s a great family outing… I would absolutely recommend this to any of my friends and family who wants to experience sushi…
The food was super delicious and it's the only sushi place in madera, I love coming here and getting their tiger roll and dragon roll they are my favorite. Also the fried rice and poke bowls are amazing too, everything is real good here
Amazing!! Great new owners!! Definitely my new favorite sushi spot! The picture is from after I ate half of it but the rolls are gorgeous as well!
Have been wanting to come here, finally have been able to since the covid pandemic had them closed alot. This is prime sushi!!! Worth a drive, but luckily I live down the street! Coming back again!

It was my first time trying this place. I was surprised by the size and quantity and quality of items I got all super tasty. I will be back again, but they didn't disappoint
Love the place, love the food, love the boba, it sucks its only open 4 times a week. 😭💔
Love love love this place! Great sushi and great food! Ive had a wide array of the dishes on the menu and all have been great. My kids have also tried a bunch on the menu and are happy. Tip: the fried rice portions are huge, if you don't want a ton, share with a friend, extra for leftovers, or shared between 2 kids. The Donburi is also great portion for kids or adults without being too much vs the bento (also awesome) that can be a ton of food. Our favorites are the calamari rings and Spicy Sunshine Roll. Clean plates everytime. <3

Relatively busy during lunch rush. Food was good. The service was great. We had a person in our group that did not like any raw. They were nice enough to make a cooked fish option.
So I ate here today and the food was very good and the staff was friendly. It is a place where you go to the counter and order and go back to pick up your food. So I went to the counter to pay and when they flipped around the pay pad for me to sign it immediately asked how much I wanted to tip. Tip? For what? You aren't serving me. Then when we were done eating the girl behind they counter made sure to let me know it was my job to take the tray to the garbage can and separate the garbage and dishware. I am sure glad I didn't tip anyone. The only one that deserved a tip was me. So if you are looking for a casual place to eat good sushi in Madera then you should try it. Just be forewarned about the lack of service and keep your tip money. You will earn it.
You'll get ur pickup u ordered then wait the time it took to make ur meals to make ur Boba If u want to wait for 10+ min for ur drinks that's cool
Happy to see a Sushi restaurant in Madera finally! Keep in mind though that it is an "express" restaurant. Most dishes are served in to-go containers. I had a roll that was great. However, the Udon my daughter had was a small serving and not worth the price.
Finally got a chance to come here with my family for dinner. It was close to closing time on a Friday so not super busy. The place is super cute, I didn't know that they served Boba drinks bit we didn't try those since we were there for the food. My daughter really liked her miso soup, except for the tofu but she's a picky kid so no big deal. My husband enjoyed his shrimp and tempura. I was really impressed with the the freshness of my salad and the delicious vinaigrette that camp with it. They were out of beef so I had to order the chicken. My teriyaki bowl was tasty and the vegetables fresh as well, it was more food than I expected and I couldn't finish the sald and bowl. The restaurant was pretty cutely decorated and clean. The service was ok. My only real complaint was the fried foods. The panko crust and batter was great, however, due to the age of the oil the flavor was not the best. It may have been due to it being at the end of service, but if they change their oil more frequently it will take the fried foods from 4 to 5 stars. All in all, the food here is good. Will definitely eat the teriyaki again and I am probably going to give their fried dishes another shot.
Poke bowl with extra toppings & bowl teriyaki chicken with white rice. ( supposed be plate but ended up bowl) It’s a good taste but especially bit disappointing small amounts teriyaki chicken with white rice should add extra teriyaki chicken. They’re friendly service and great welcome to the customers.
The sushi was pretty good! My family ordered a lot but we especially loved the Dragon roll, the Rainbow Roll, and the 49ers roll. It was a bit more expensive than we anticipated, but we’d been craving sushi and this hit the spot. We will definitely be back again.
I LOVE eating here! Great for pescatarians. It is kind of expensive and the business hours are inconvenient but the food is delicious and usually made in a timely manner.

Very good sushi place if you dont wanna drive all the way out to fresno, sorta on par with takumis sushi so I really dont mind spending money here 8/10, other then that there is a lady that was giving passive-aggressive vibes and was pretty slightly rude 🥲 (short gal with the glasses and bun with highlights 😀) but the rest of the staff are slay and super nice ☺️ would still come again tho 🤪 sushi so fireee 🔥🔥🔥

Lol I could see why people are reviewing it the way they are. I ordered chicken Katsu is was horrible! Dry rubbery and a pile of rice under it that was just as rubbery. The little soup was delicious though. Ordered six piece spring rolls. Not what I expected. They literally cut three EGG ROLLS in half and called it 6 pieces 😄. I mean seriously?! They were good but some of the things they do are just bad business practices. A little expensive for what you’re getting. They are the only place in Madera that serves Japanese inspired food so I guess we have to put up with it. I don’t know how I feel about this place. Lol
Drove to Madera to give this restaurant a try. Noticed that it wasn’t a traditional dine-in spot. Instead you order at the Kiosk, pay immediately, get your own drinks and clean your own table. So it’s more like a fast food sushi kind of place. You also won’t get actual utensil; they will be plastic. Unfortunately, the prices are on par with traditional dine-in spots, and not cheaper like one would expect. Now to the good side of things: The food was actually not bad. We enjoyed all of it: Beef bento boxes: 7/10 (they came with 3 pieces Nigiri) Fried gyoza 9/10 (came with sweet chili sauce) Super Mario roll 8/10 Dragon roll 8/10 Would have rated the bento box better but the fish from the nigiri was on the warmer side. Probably the ambient heat warming up the fish as this place has no AC running. Only some strategically placed fans were circulating the hot air indoors. It was quite hot inside due to the high heats in the valley.
Sushi is a bit expensive. Ramen is small. Family of 4. About 90 with tip, wasn't enough food. I would recommend buffet sushi, get more and taste about the same. 1st sushi came out, got old rice, and was hard.
I give Oishii's a solid 3 1. Madera finally has sushi 2. Customer Service 3. Presentation Bowls could use more rice... these are either big bowls or there is too much bowl showing lol but definitely will come here when craving sushi and not wanting to drive to Fresno. Convenient 🙌

Staying nearby, so happy to find sushi place close. Ordered philly and spicy tuna rolls. They used smoked salmon, knock off "cream cheese", overripe-almost- brown avocado, and a half inch of rice, which was soggy. Tuna roll was edible but philly was not. Also, 25 minute wait. Can't recommend.
The rice was just... not right. It was a bit warm, slightly undercooked, and worst of all, kind of sweet. It didn't taste like any sushi rice I've had before. I'm hoping it was just a bad batch and if I go back and its better, I'll happily change my review.
food is bomb i just hate how it’s always closed! it’s so annoying n irritating
Terrible service. We got there at 7:32, and it says it closes at 8, and we were going to place a to-go order. The rude lady who is supposed to “welcome” you instead loudly exclaims how we came in “15 minutes before closing.” If that’s the case, then reflect that the store closes at 7:45 pm. Then she proceeds to be condescending, which is hilarious since she’s merely a worker and not an owner. We left and thankfully we were able to stop 2 other people who were headed inside for boba. We directed them to another boba place close by, so the lady’s disgusting attitude cost this establishment 4 customers in less than a few minutes. Excellent business strategy! I’m sure the owners of this establishment will be so pleased to know the people they pay to run their store are actively repelling clientele! I remember when this place used to be in Fresno by Ashlan and 99, and I’ve been looking forward to finally stopping by this new location, but I will no longer be returning and will be sure to let others know how terrible the service is.
Go to the pak and save next to it and buy sushi there instead. At least there it isn't overpriced and tastes like powdered mayo in long grain rice. Dry chicken with no sauce and a huge portion of rice. I can't make up how disappointing this place is. It should not be so expensive for the small portions given.
Super bummed but I’ve tried this place three times with my boyfriend and we both got extremely sick every time took us out for a whole day and a half each time. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt hence I tried it three times despite getting sick but it’s definitely something in the rolls getting me sick and I am definitely not someone w a sensitive stomach so I was really surprised to get so sick. 😕
Rude staff, seems like they dont want you there. Servers never answers the phone for ordering. (why do you list the number if you never answer?) I even went inside and called them to see if its the right number, the phone started ringing but they ignored it even though there were servers that were sweeping or standing around and talking. As I sat in the restaurant, multiple calls were ignored and was treated as a burden. Decent food but service was not worth it. I wish they hired kind and welcoming people.
Literally the worst customer service. I asked for a side of teriyaki and siracha and she placed two packets and a half filled little cup of teriyaki in my bag. When I went to pay the $1 charge for it, they refused to take my card because they would be charged for it and then proceeded to take of the two packets of siracha, and teriyaki. Like are you serious? No sense of true, quality customer service. Also the sushi itself is mediocre, the only reason I decided to eat there was because it was in walking distance of my job.
I won’t be back due to the rude cashier who works there. I ordered two poke bowls, one with no rice because I’m doing keto. When I went to pick it up I asked the cashier if he knew which bowl was which. His reply was “the one with rice has rice in it and the one with salad has salad in it.” I then let him know that I’m not stupid and I wanted to know if the bowls were marked because they were going to two different places. He then starred at me and said no. I later called in to complain and the manager’s response was “I will talk to my employee but we never mark the bowls.” I let her know that’s all the employee needed to say, and there was no need for his condescending response. I also let her know that I will not be back. I don’t care how good your food is, I wont deal with poor customer service.

I would never recommend this place. Food is horrible. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and it came out overcooked and a chewy mess. The boba was okay. We sat there for about 15 minutes with the music they play blasting. It was very loud and kind of obnoxious. After i finally get my food (notice I said I because said waiter gave my mother her food before I got anything), I dig in only to find my roll extremely chewy and a little burnt. She was eating her poke and I wanted some too. So I went up and ordered 2 more bowls. I shouldn’t have done that. We’ve both had diarrhea for hours and I have food poisoning. Slightly saved by having a clean bathroom and the waiter being somewhat respectful
Food is OK. Not out of this world. One and done. All the people that work there need a Red bull or get people with more energy. They SUCK at customer service. If you leave a tip...you're an idiot. You order they cook, you eat. I don't tip for that. Ask me how my meal is, do I need a refill, how was your meal. The "kids" that work there treat you like they don't want you to be there. I paid 43 buck with no tip for a boba, meal, and small appetizer. I'd rather go to outback.
