New restaurant in Plaza Espana. Modern contemporary decor, nice terrace overlooking the plaza. An inventive menu blending classic dishes with something new. The food was delicious and portions generous - recommend you go hungry. A quality addition to restaurant scene in Nerja - give it a try.

I love great food and amazing servers, so I absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was delicious and all four of us were so satisfied with our choices! And the service? Some of the best service I have experienced while living in Spain! We had at least 4 or 5 guys checking on us. I would definitely recommend coming to this restaurant if you love good Indian food.

Taj is perfectly located on the edge of the Plaza de España. The patio dining afforded views of the plaza and great people watching. The wait staff was engaging and friendly making our evening a lot of fun. We had the papadum to start followed by a Taj special that includes butter chicken and spinach. We paired it with Jeera Rice and Peshwari Naan. All of the dishes were well prepared. They even have a special twist on Tinto de Verano to make it special.

We’ve been holidaying in Nerja for many years and have visited all the Indian restaurants here. This new opening of Taj Indian Restaurant in Plaza de España is by far the best. The staff are so welcoming, the setting is beautiful, and the décor is stunning. And the food is absolutely delicious, every single dish. Not one complaint! Thanks to the staff for being so kind to my son with additional needs. We’re already looking forward to many more meals here in the years to come. A real gem for Nerja.

Had a great meal here , absolutely gorgeous ,chicken tikka masala and Aubergine bhaji preceded by poppadoms and dips,ice cold lagers and a free Bailey's to round it off exquisite from start to finish,staff were great and service superb.very fresh food ,flavourful and the ambience was 1st class

Tried this new Indian restaurant in Plaza Espana. Recognised Anil, one of the waiters. The same people who own Mum and the original Goa Town are behind the opening. Wide choice of Indian veg and non veg food. Service is excellent, friendly and thoughtful about likes and dislikes of customer. House wine was good. Great value for money. Eat from main menu but Menu del Dia - (serving 1-4 pm) looks amazing for choice and price.

A new restaurant, calm atmosphere. The food was exploding with tastes. Dont miss the lamb biryani and the coliflower!

Terrific: beautifully cooked and presented food, plenty of space and prompt service. Bombay Vada (potato cakes) were light and crisp, lamb biryani tender and nicely spiced, chana masala a tasty side dish, salad was crunchy and a good complement. Even the poppadoms and crockery were a notch above.

Cannot fault. Friendly staff. Great food. Fantastic flavors. Reasonably priced.

Wir waren schon mehrmals im Taj Indian in Nerja am Plaza de España und es war jedes Mal eine durchweg positive Erfahrung. Das Essen ist hervorragend – frisch, aromatisch und authentisch zubereitet. Besonders die Gewürze und die Qualität der Zutaten überzeugen jedes Mal aufs Neue. Der Service ist aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr herzlich. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und gut betreut. Auch das Ambiente am Plaza de España ist einfach wunderschön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne hierher und können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Taj Indian Restaurant ha sido todo un acierto. La comida ha sido increíble, llena de sabor y con una calidad que se nota desde el primer bocado. El trato del personal, simplemente maravilloso: atentos, cercanos y muy profesionales, hacen que la experiencia sea aún mejor. Hemos disfrutado muchísimo y, sin duda, es un sitio al que volveremos. Lo recomendamos muchísimo si estás en Nerja y te apetece disfrutar de una auténtica experiencia india.

Menú variado, todo estaba muy rico y se notaba que estaba hecho con cuidado y autenticidad. El servicio muy agradable también. Porciones grandes.

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir haben bereits viele indische Restaurants in Nerja getestet und dieses zählt bereits nach dem 1. Besuch zu unseren Favoriten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

We went as a group of five on opening night and it was unreal! Having been to all the Indian restaurants in Nerja, I can honestly say this was hands down the best I’ve had. Anil and Masood were fantastic, the food was incredible with big portions, and the ambience was so good we ended up staying for four hours, just drinking and enjoying ourselves after the meal. Best of luck with this new venture, but if tonight is anything to go by, luck won’t be needed

Fabulous night with great company and…. Stunning food. From start to finish everything was a taste sensation. A true delight and even better to hear that the old Goa Town is back in Nerja.

Fantastic value and absolutely delicious. We had the lunchtime all inclusive menu for 11.95 euros per person with starter, three curries, rice or nan and dessert included . Everything was delicious and well presented and beautifully spiced. Visit if you can.

Una auténtica sorpresa en el centro de Nerja. Fuimos a cenar y la experiencia fue espectacular de principio a fin. Se nota que el restaurante lleva poco tiempo abierto porque todo está cuidado al detalle. La comida estaba súper rica, llena de sabor y muy bien presentada. Cada plato que probamos nos encantó. El ambiente es agradable y el trato muy atento, lo que hace que la cena sea aún mejor. Sin duda, un sitio totalmente recomendable para disfrutar de comida india de calidad en Nerja. ¡Repetiremos seguro!

Espectacular. Estuvimos ayer cenando, y la comida un 10, de lo mejor que he probado en mucho tiempo. Sorprendentemente fue de 10 en el día de la inauguración, que es difícil acertar tanto en todo, así que creo, espero y deseo que va a ser un éxito. El personal muy amable, muy atento. Ambiente magnífico.

Servicio excelente, los camareros muy muy simpáticos, atentos y serviciales. La comida exquisita. El local muy limpio y cuidado, encima era mi cumpleaños y me han regalado una cerveza. Unos máquinas.

La comida es muy buena, la única pega es que tardaron mucho en traer la comida, pero si no se lleva prisa no es problema, aparte de eso todo genial!

Service gut, Essen hat leider ziemlich lange gedauert und war durchwachsen - einige Gerichte sehr gut, andere nicht so. Alles in allem kann man hier einkehren!

It was very good here. Very nice staff members although they did spill curry down my white top which was raplh Lauren and I was livid i done so well not to spill down me . They gave me a complementary bottle of wine though so dont really matter very good here would recommend

great food only down fall was the beer 3.50 for 22cl which is cana size and the pint which is 50cl was only 4.50 so go for the pint other then that one of the best indian restuarants in nerja

Food was tasty and a wide variety on the menu. The service was great, friendly staff. In comparison to other Indian restaurants, I felt it lacked ambience and each time the phone rang, it would come through the speaker cutting any music off. Not the end of the world, but also an easy fix.

El sitio es muy bonito. El camarero muy atento y simpático. Pedimos el menú del día y es bastante barato para la cantidad de comida que trae. La bandejita en la que viene la comida es bastante fea pero eso no quita que la comida sea buena y barata. Lo único negativo, la comida un poco sosa

Having booked a table, +10 minutes to bring the menu. Half an hour to take the order. More than an hour to serve the food. Food was lovely. Bill took more than 15 minutes to come. It's a big place. Service was impersonal.

Worst indian food I have ever had. Total garbage and stale. Half of the family fell sick within 30-40min after our dinner here. I'd prefer starving over eating garbage at this restaurant.

To be honest, the menu of the day is great value for money if you like bland food on a prison tray. Seriously, the menu today is a real steal if you're into uninspired dishes served on a plain tray. It's definitely a budget-friendly option, I'll give it that. You get what you pay for, I guess. If you're not too picky about flavor, it might just hit the spot.
