This was a great spot! My cousin is fully vegan, so finding a high-end sit-down restaurant with delicious food to grub at has been a struggle. Samuel (our server) was amazing! So kind, funny, witty, gave us incredible recommendations, took a group picture of my party and I without us even asking, and went above and beyond — very appropriate to the name of the restaurant! :)

If you are Vegan and in Manhattan, you must dine out at this restaurant. You have so many choices and some are really good. It’s easy to choose as the entire menu is vegan, and thanks to our server Natalia answered all our questions and even recommended a dish. We had Crab rangoons, Miso soup, Mango Sushi and Spicy Ramen( which was not really spicy for me). Everything was so delicious and filling, if you are up for dessert - Ube Cheesecake is the one, loved it! The ambience is good and place is quite. There are some other vegan restaurants too by this owner, check them out.

All the food was amazing. Most of the food was indistinguishable and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are appropriate and the server McAllister was great, funny and light hearted. The only thing was that the "raw salmon" had a weird aftertaste, but everything else balanced it out well so you can't really tell. The dessert may be the best thing I've ever had. The drinks are okay. Overall 6/5!

Eli was the young lady who took care of us and recommended all the food. It was amazing and really tasty, thank you for the tips. Having an entire sushi restaurant that is vegan / plant based is next level, congrats to the cooks too. Thanks a lot for the experience.

A real treat. One of the better kosher meals I've had in New York. A bit pricey, it was $90 for one person, including Sake and dessert. The servers were generous and helpful. I would come back again

I got stuck in the city after work and decided to try out Beyond Sushi and I was very pleasantly surprised. The Eastern Gardens cocktail was delicious and light. I ordered the Charred Unagi roll on the recommendation of my waiter, Eli (who was great) and it was my favorite roll. The smoked eggplant was so good. The spicy avocado roll was my safe choice incase I didn’t like the unagi roll. This roll was good, as good as any avocado mango roll is, but it was completely overshadowed by how amazing the unagi roll was. Service was quick and the space is clean and has great ambiance.

This place is amazing! The creativity in the different types of sushi was incredible! Everything was beautiful, including the restaurant. It created a magnificent energy that was amplified by the amazing service we got. Our server was Eli and she was incredibly helpful and funny. Overall this place was one of my favorite restaurants I’ve ever been too.

Firstly, it’s genuinely hard to find a sushi place that offers even one good vegetarian option — let alone several. So discovering this spot was such a pleasant surprise. Wonderful restaurant hidden in the Fashion District. The place is super clean with spaced out tables. We ordered from the lunch special. The food was loaded with flavor and the portions were too big to finish. It does get very crowded at lunch time so call ahead if that's the time you are planning on going. Do yourself a favor and try Anixi their other restaurants. It’s elevated vegan.

The service was amazing as the wait staff was accommodating and patient for a last minute larger group. I am not a vegan but was with some vegan friends who thoroughly enjoyed the fully vegan menu. The presentation and portions of the food (sushi rolls) were great, especially for NYC.

High end vegan place, really had good vegan food, a little bit on expensive side but flavors were bold. Mango sushi 4.5/5. Crab rangoon- the presentation was amazing. Roasted avocado sushi 5/5 Bao 3/5. Was a bit sweet to our liking and texture was chewy Rice paper rolls 4/5 Spicy Ramen 4/5. Needed a little salt though. Cinnamon drink 4/5 Lychee lemonade 4.5/5

For anyone who has not gone the meat/fish options on the menu are made with vegan alternatives Solid place coming from someone who does eat meat. Half the dishes I would order again. Appetizers: Nutty Buddy wrap- solid but not outstanding Crab Rangoon - amazing presentation and 10/10 flavor and texture. Definitely a must try here. Main: Mighty mushroom - fantastic sushi roll. Would order even at a regular restaurant. The flavor was interesting and complex Spicy Tuna - just tasted like a cucumber avocado roll Spicy Ramen - solid spicy broth, I was disappointed because the noodles were not up to par here Drinks: The sodas and cocktails were interesting and fun combos. I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the pork shumai, black truffle udon, and the spicy mango sushi roll to start. For mains, we had the spicy ramen and the black pepper steak. Overall, the dishes were flavorful and well presented. The black pepper steak stood out the most as a non-vegetarian, I was genuinely impressed by how close the texture and bite were to real meat. That said, I felt the seasoning across dishes could be a bit stronger. The steak, in particular, would’ve been even better with a touch more spice and deeper seasoning. Even the black truffle udon could have used more seasoning. Still, for a fully vegan restaurant, Beyond Sushi delivers a satisfying and creative dining experience. As someone who usually eats meat, I’d still highly recommend it to anyone open to exploring delicious vegan options.

The skewers were nice, and the crab rangoons were great —definitely the highlights of the meal. The sake was also enjoyable. The sushi, however, was just fine.
