Amazing chicken sandwich and friendly service!

My wife and I stopped into this charming place while on a stroll through Central Park, and boy what a treat it was! A very pleasant and attentive waiter plied us with delicious cucumber and lemon water- great start! This was followed by a very reasonably priced lunch special which had some very most, and tasty chicken. We will DEFINITELY return as this was a 10/10 experience! Kudos to all!

Delicious meal, freshly cooked chicken and dripping potatoes and brussel sprouts. Tastes better than my mom cooks. Charming staff and lovely counter to sit at while we waited, listening to cool music and soaking in the bistro vibes. So glad we’ve just moved into the neighborhood as this will become one of our favourite places to eat.

This place has the most solid rotisserie chicken that is made fresh all day. It makes a vegetarian like me very jealous of my boyfriend sitting across from me with his Chicken Baguette Au Jus. The chicken is just as flavorful as the au jus which perfectly softens the bread and gets into all the crevices of the broccoli rabe. Also as a vegetarian, I am not left wanting at Poulet Sans tete because of how delicious and substantial their sides are. My go-to is the Mac and cheese and I'm making my way through their cold salads. You can't go wrong ordering anything on this fresh, seasonal, and delicious menu. If anything, at least stop in for some soft serve and I promise anyone will leave happy. This place has become one of my favorite places on the Upper West Side.

Healthy delicious food and family friendly! ❤️ Firstly, the meal was incredibly delicious and all thoughtfully prepared with contrasting flavor profiles and hearty fresh ingredients. We ordered a half bird, mac and cheese, and the brussel sprouts, and it was perfect for two and a toddler. The chicken is flavorfully rubbed and roasted with a medley of spices, and although already moist, it comes with ajus. I also ordered the aoli dip, and it had such a nice flavor paired with the vegetables and chicken. The atmosphere is modern, chic, yet casual quick-service. For our toddler, they provided a high chair and happily checked in and entertained our baby as we dined. The mix of good food and then family-friendly was a huge win. We will be back.

Wow... If I could give 10 stars... I would. The best rotisserie chicken in NYC. Don't be deceived by the simple decor and sparse in the restaurant seating... This place is Awesome. They are so friendly, like eating dinner with family. This is a definite go to place for me. Highly recommend.

The chicken baguette sandwich au jus is soooo good

It's exactly what you would want from a roast chicken meal. Skin is tasty, sides complement well, and a great array of sauces. And the decor + service is super vibey. Only thing that could be improved is the chicken breast could be a little moister, but with the sauces it's not even a big deal.

What a great addition to the neighborhood! Have eaten there several times, plus have ordered for delivery. The food is delicious (including many of the sides), the manager and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming, it’s super clean, and has some indoor and outdoor seating. Altogether, a great experience!

My new favorite rotisserie chicken and pretty much a go-to in the neighborhood. Food is delicious and cooked with premium ingredients like free range chicken and olive oil. The sides are perfect for anyone who wants healthy or indulge in mac and cheese and fries, or a combo, bc the main is healthy enough! Guilt free and hits the spot every time.

Fantastic rotisserie chicken accompanied by a delicious selection of sides and sauces - I felt like we couldn't go wrong with the options. Felt like a great lazy lunch or dinner option. Cherry on top was the wonderful warm service.

Tasty, simple dishes, like rotisserie chicken, potatoes, and sauteed spinach. Great if you like to eat healthy whole ingredient food but not gimmicky "healthy" food.

Expecting the absolute worst hipster restaurant given its quirky trendy “rural” village decor, earth-ware plating and possibly related attitude. I intensively avoided visiting for two years. However upon visiting on a whim I found the food on all levels well beyond similar places in quality paired with a unique upscale counter service model. While the quirky “fusion” decor and ambiance is not for me I can put that aside for a pleasant meal.

Honestly this is probably one of the best roast chickens one could ever find. The chicken and potatoes were both incredibly done but the real standout is their garlic sauce which is just umami perfection. Everyone here is also extremely friendly. 100% will be returning, absolutely incredible find.

Provence on Amsterdam and 88th!!!! This is the freshest, healthiest, yummiest, grilled rotisserie chicken I've had in NY. They make it the way my family made it in the South of France. Perfectly seasoned with fresh herbs de Provence; crispy on the outside and moist inside, accompanied by fresh jus. We took a whole chicken for two and thankfully have leftovers for tomorrow. Side dishes absolutely not to be missed are 1. Corn and diced zucchini salad with fresh basil and 2. the potatoes cooked in chicken drippings. So delicious. (Fries looked sublime from afar!!) Kudos to Chef Laurence, and his lovely team...Danielle, Robert and the nice cooks. Welcome to the hood. We stumbled upon this cool storefront and funny whimsical restaurant name and cannot wait to go back soon. To cap this meal, have the soft chocolate/vanilla ice cream.

Poulet Sans Tête is a standout on the Upper West Side. The rotisserie chicken is flawless—juicy meat, and packed with flavor. The sides are equally impressive: fresh, balanced, and consistently delicious. And the soft serve? Smooth and the perfect finish. Consistent, comforting, and seriously crave-worthy. A must-visit.

I'm rooting for this place! There's nothing not to like. Dead simple approach (good chicken) with a variety of nice side dishes ranging from very healthy to Mac and cheese. All of it good and...wait for it...at a reasonable price??!! Staff is nice. Decor is simple but clean, cool, and nice. We got a whole chicken and 2 sides for 2 people and left with plenty of leftovers. Best part, it cost $60'ish bucks with tip. For NYC, that's a steal.

Spectacular food and service. We came for late lunch/early dinner and shared the chicken with two sides and several sauces. The brussel sprouts cooked well (upon request) are spot on and balanced with orange peel. The chicken-drippings potatoes are on another level. Staff makes sure you’re taken care of.

I have ordered takeout from here a few times and it has quickly become a favorite for weeknights. Their menu strikes a great balance offering options that are healthy, but hearty and flavorful. Service for pickup is punctual and simple.

I love the French bistro vibe, as well as the counter seating. Great to go with a friend, eat alone, or take-out. Everything was super fresh and made in-house. We had the corn zucchini salad, crisp cucumber health salad, crunchy drippings potatoes, and sliced chicken with a couple of the delicious sauces. Get the herby salsa verde sauce!! Finished with the soft serve ice cream. Felt like a kid, again!

We ordered here for the first time last night looking for a new staple place for the family. It was a HUGE hit. The chicken, sides, and sauces were all delicious. We found a new place to add to the list of go-tos.

stopped by for Saturday lunch; it was not overly busy but also not dead. I got a chicken sandwich with broccoli rabe. They didn't skimp on the toppings. Chicken was moist and flavourful (admittedly the second half of the baguette ended up a bit soggy as a result but that's to be expected) and the combination of toppings worked well. Would like to return some day for a dinner to try the speciality rotisserie platter.

DELICIOUS! Really well done simple dishes. The salt and pepper salmon with potatoes and green beans was so so tasty. The server was also lovely - he was attentive and thorough in his explanations of the food. Definitely worth marking on your Google map.

This place marries simplicity with real quality. The crew that work here are authentically friendly. Chicken and salmon plates always prepared to the highest standard. Price point doesn’t sting like certain other places nearby (that aren’t as good). What can I say, I think it’s my favorite restaurant on the UWS.

Love this new uws spot. We needed dinner after a flight home and this was perfect, ready in just a few minutes for takeout. (Indoor seating is mostly bar) We loved the rotisserie chicken (which I used to make bone broth later) and the corn/zucchini salad and Israeli couscous were perfect. The brussels weren’t particularly special but still yummy. It’s not cheap but we got several servings out of it. Thankful this is a new addition and not another dispensary!

Absolutely gorgeous lunch. The chicken is fine, but the sides and the chicken baguette sandwich are divine. The restaurant is well-constructed and the windows in front are beautiful! Also—highly, highly recommend the homemade soft-serve. The owner gave us a sample and it was the best I’ve cream I’ve had in months.

I guess it's one of those place where things are kept simple but with attention to quality and detail. I stopped for a quick lunch and got a dish that made me stay for more. The chicken with red beans and rice was a love at first bite - the meat was roasted and juicy, seasoned with some herbs, pepper and salt. Took a brownie with ice cream for a desert. That as well was great. A special comment should be made to service and music - the waiter was attentive, friendly, taking care and not intrusive. The music was not too loud, which creates a welcoming atmosphere. Most probably will visit NY some time in a distant future. Hope to find the place still open and operating. :)

Dripping potatoes were great and Mac n cheese was delicious. It was cold out so the warm bar temp wasn't a factor, might not have the same opinion in July. Staff was great as well.

Flavorful and juicy rotisserie chicken. The sauces should be free. One of them is allegedly a spicy sauce, but it looks like dried up cranberries. I didn't bother tasting it so $2 went to the garbage.

Came here looking for a new family take out option. Roast chicken was excellent and the sides were delicious. Particular shout out for the fries that we're really yummy. Only reason for 4 stars is the price. Despite being excellent, $27 for a take home rotisserie chicken and $14 per side dish seems a bit over priced for essentially a takeout place. Perhaps the dine-in experience would feel better value.

This is one of the best Herbs de Provence seasoned, plump, juicy, chicken EVER, even the white meat. I've bought a whole chicken and have had some for the rest of the week so the $29.00 cost is worth it. I've only tried the Zucchini and Corn with Basil side dish. Got to meet the chef and my new friend, Robert. Will be seeing them again and again

Got this as takeout and was impressed. The chicken and corn were the stars of the show. One piece of feedback for the restaurant is that the salsa verde is labeled incorrectly on the menu. After trying the time I realized it’s not salsa verde, it’s Chimichurri.

I’ve heard really good things about this place. However, in my experience it fell flat. It could be because we ordered at 8pm on a Sunday, which is an hour before close so I imagine we got the remnants of the day. The chicken may have been on the rotisserie for the day (or at least a number of hours) as it was very dry. Also the sides were pretty mediocre, the beet salad had almost no feta included. I do think it’s more of a lunch spot when the food is fresher and chicken is juicier, but for the price I would have expected better.

Chicken was good. Would get another sauce than the jus next time - it was just chicken broth. I was very disappointed with the sides. The cauliflower was fine, but the brussel sprouts were particularly bad. Charred on the outside but barely cooked and hard to eat. Very disappointed. Again, the chicken was good, but it was expensive for what you get.

I also kept questioning whether my chicken was actually tuna? Presentation was wonderful and the cheese and au jus were delicious with the bread, just something about the filling was too unique for my liking. My friend reported that the chicken salad sandwich was “like one a nice grandma would make at home but 10 times better.” Service and atmosphere all passed my test. Only just wishing I ordered the Mac n cheese…

Ordered the boneless 1/2 chicken and it was extremely unappealing--it was not professionally sliced (as I would expect for the price), had very little breast meat, and looked as if someone just tore some pieces into smaller pieces or dumped some leftovers in the container. Plus, they packed everything into a single small container, with the cold salad next to the warm chicken. Maybe the bone-in is more appealing but can't recommend the boneless version.

Ordered three chickens and asked that they be cut into eighths which they were not. But more importantly, the chickens were slathered in rosemary to the point that they were in edible without scraping off the skin. See attached picture of Rosemary, which looks almost like bugs. I would not purchase this expensive chicken again.

We got the chicken gobbler sandwich for take away. There was barely any chicken in the sandwich, it was mostly literal STUFFING. So bread in bread. The baguette wasn’t even toasted… Absurd quality for $18. We had high hopes and were pretty disappointed.

Overpriced rotisserie chicken. You’re paying restaurant prices for a supermarket level rotisserie chicken. Very basic sides that need to be more innovative. I definitely will not be coming back.
