Did not disappoint. Loved the Irish pub vibes. Sand on the floor was a nice touch. Bartenders were great and service was stupendous. Tried the Irish Coffee, Irish coffee alexander, and Twilight Zone - all amazing. Best Irish coffee I've ever had. Highly recommend!
Amazing cocktails with wonderful foods in a fantastic ambiance! It’s like a dream spending a night at the Dead Rabbit,NYC. I definitely will come back again and again. Irish coffee, the signature, as good as always. Figgy pudding is unexpected delicious. All foods are tasty with incredible dips. Tiramisu is the most fresh with strong spirit one I’ve ever tasted. What a sophisticated speakeasy bar. Highly recommended! I hope everyone has a chance to taste the cocktails, as well as the foods, with friends or family.
The day after Thanksgiving, party of 6, no reservation. I know, not smart. But, we were there and hungry. What're you gonna do?. Server says they have several seats available upstairs in the Bar, recommends we give it a shot. All 6 of us are walking from room to room looking for anything. We were just about settled on sitting in different rooms 2x2 when a manager walked by and asked me if we were good. I said, "I think so, we were hoping to find six together but it's not looking good." He says, "Hang on a minute, let me see what we can do." He tells me to go ahead and sit in the seats we've found, two seperate rooms, two at tables and two at the bar, and hang tight. Less than a minute later he returns and says he's got a solution, sit tight. A couple of minutes later, he's back. A group is getting up soon, they just paid their check, hang tight. Now, I've hot to tell you, this place is packed and more people are entering throughout this interaction. Sure enough, he comes back and tells me to round up our crew, he's set us up with two high top rounds with banked seating on one side. Tight fit but perfect for our group. As if that's not enough, the server was super chill, efficient and genuinely working to ensure we enjoyed the visit. She confesssed that they were slamming but with a smile on her face, said they were handling it well. Our food was excellent, the Guinness first class. All in all, this was a 10/10 visit. I'll definitely make a point of returning to Dead Rabbit on future visits. Corned Beef Sandwich, Lamb Chops, Pumpkin Soup, Classic Burger.
This is a great cocktail bar to go to for those who enjoy creative cocktails. Their menu comes in a book. Most of the cocktails had fun and unique flavors. This is not the place to go if you want a simple espresso martini. I had the leaf and berry, which was creamy and tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry. The alcohol truly shines in the cocktails. Food was also really good! The fish and chips tasted fresh and crispy. The crab cake was yummy as well. Overall, if you can stop by this is a great spot!
Best bar in NYC, it's not an upscale bar serving cocktails made with ingredients you have never heard of and names you cant pronounce. It's a good old Irish Pub that the likes of Tommy Gavin would frequent. The service was fantastic (shout out to our new best friend Vivian) we were able to try a fantastic lineup of Irish whiskeys, of which they have more than you could hope to run through. I wish they would open one close to home, but then again, I would be parked there 8 days a week.
Came here for a Friday dinner and was able to squeeze into the bar for seating. Cocktails are phenomenal and the whiskey offerings are impressive. Food is elevated pub grub but not by too much - I did enjoy the mussels the most but the sausage roll and scotch egg are not too bad as well. Get ready to be surrounded by people in this packed restaurant but it’s a good time.
I had an amazing time visiting The Dead Rabbit. Outstanding hospitality since you arrive. First you enter to a traditional irish pub and then upstairs is their cocktail parlor, both really nice concepts with an interesting menu of cocktails and small bites. They honor their 'Welcome Home' and 'Tradition, Meet Tomorrow' slogans. Will definitely come back.
Located in a five story townhouse built in 1828 in an historic area of FiDi, The Dead Rabbit was named one of North America’s 50 best bars in 2024 - and with good reason! Popping in on a rainy weekday evening, their second floor Parlour served as the perfect backdrop to peruse their illustrated “cocktail bible”, point and order impressively creative cocktails while soaking up the history of the namesake and territorial Dead Rabbit gang. Their cocktails are unique to Dead Rabbit and were excellent! We enjoyed far too many to recount, but some standouts were the Lock & Key, Overboard, Wishing Wind, Kissa Tanteo, En Route, and Irish Toffee. We enjoyed a hearty meal of crispy pork belly, smoked cheddar croquettes, chicken pot pie, Atlantic salmon, and sticky toffee pudding. Lower Manhattan has many Irish pubs, but Dead Rabbit is the one to check out first. Put it on your list and get a resy for The Parlour. Follow GlamYourGlass on IG for more recos & tips!
The Dead Rabbit feels like a real Irish pub — which is pretty amazing given it’s right in the heart of Manhattan. The atmosphere was warm and familiar, just like being back home. The music was brilliant too — I was delighted to hear Whipping Boy being played, a band I hadn’t heard in years! The food was delicious, the drinks were top-class (including a very good pint of Guinness), and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s lively but not too loud, making it easy to have a proper conversation, which I really appreciated. All in all, The Dead Rabbit absolutely lives up to its reputation — a fantastic spot for great food, great drinks, and genuine hospitality.
We went on a Sunday in December and the place was PACKED! The Christmas decorations were so beautiful and there was live music on the main floor. We went up to the Green Room because there was more room up there and had a great time. The seasonal “jingle jangle” cocktails are superb and the food was delicious. We were standing a majority of the time but eventually got bar seats to finish out the night. Bar tenders were friendly and quick with drinks and food!
After dinner and went to a bar, my best friend took me to The Dead Rabbit. It is one of her favorite place. On Saturday night like this there are crowded so we on a waiting list for a table upstairs. We have a class of wine while we waiting at the first floor. The place looks very cool, trendy and good for dating. When we get the table at the second floor we decide to just sit in the bar instead and we feel we make a right choice because we can see how bartender makes a drink which is very fun to look at. The bar itself is very nice display too. I love that they put so many mixer on top of the bar and I really amaze how bartenders remember which one is the right one to make a drink. We have - sausage rolls: good to eat something while drinking, its delicious. - wired to the moon: my friend has it, match with her hardcore drinking ability. - funny peculiar: light and sweet for cute lady like me, lol. It is very fun night and we wish we can stay longer.
One of my favorite bars in the city. I love both the Taproom and the Parlour, though for different reasons. The Taproom is in itself a whole vibe - a perfect, bustling Irish pub with the added bonus of nice cocktails using Irish spirits. It’s easy to walk in with a pal, grab a Guinness or an Irish coffee, and have a nice catch up session at pretty much any (reasonable) hour. The Parlour is an upscale cocktail bar in its own right now. The drinks are all fantastic, though honestly I miss the more lowkey vibe back when they were still serving complementary welcome drinks and classic cocktails with Irish twists.
We had such an awesome time visiting The Dead Rabbit! The staff is wonderful from the second you walk in! Loved the holiday decor, and cocktail menu! We had Irish coffees, Gingerbread Man, and Doctors orders ! All of which were delicious! This will definitely be a place we return to on our NYC trips!
Great Irish memorabilia inside. Very busy. Bustling. Reserved/pre booked seating and dining area upstairs as well as few small tables downstairs sometimes reserved.
Awesome place. Tried three cocktails and all of them tasted good and unique. Started in the bar downstairs where we got some food as well. Shepherd’s pie was great. It’s pretty loud downstairs but cool decor and kind of cozy. Then we moved to the third floor (put yourself in the queue for the third floor when you arrive) where continued our cocktail journey. The Irish coffee was as good as other reviews say. The gin cocktails didn’t disappoint either. The upper floor has the same menu as downstairs but with additional 10 cocktails.
My family and I's experience here was amazing! They let us sit early from our reservation and were very accommodating the whole night. Our waiter, Will, was absolutely one of the best waiters I've had in NYC. He was very attentive, helpful, and great at recommendations of drinks and food. We never had to worry about waiting for more drinks, water, or food. Their drinks were hands down the best I've had in NYC, not too expensive, very flavorful and not too strong or weak - just perfect. All of their food was delicious. I absolutely recommend their fries (amazing sauces) as an appetizer, and the scotch eggs were very good as well. For main dishes, we had the sea bass, fried chicken, chicken pot pie, and fisherman's pie, and they were all really good. I definitely recommend coming here at least once, especially if you're on vacation!
Such an awesome place. Okay so it isn’t truly an “old” bar, I think it was built/renovated in 2013, and I think they are trying to make it seems a lot older than it is. But it’s amazing anyways. Cocktails are great, beer is great, and food was very good (even my vegetarian wife thought it was awesome). Would definitely recommend and come back too.
The Dead Rabbit is one of the coolest bar and dining experiences I’ve had to date. My wife and I started with an Irish coffee at the bar on the main floor. My word was that good. This place was once listed as one of the top bars in the world, and I can see why. The drink was perfectly mixed, pleasantly warm and had a great kick from the whisky. We also had reservations for the parlor and had a wonderful meal in a more chill environment. Started out with a scotch egg, which was one of the tastiest things we ate during our entire trip. It’s perfectly crispy and delicious. The Guinness was on point and perfectly poured. Which pared very well with the fish and chips, which was light and flaky. Seriously one of the funnest and best meals we had on our trip. Would go again, if only for another scotch egg and Irish coffee.
Yes they offer the best Irish coffee (and derivatives) on NYC. If you love tiramisu, the Irish coffee tiramisu is a must try. This is one of my world top10bar. Good food, good drink. Always cheers me up. Parlor Room has a better quality in cocktail. Tap room is good for beer, as it sounds. Great service.
The Dead Rabbit in NYC is a hidden gem in the Financial District! This charming Irish bar, tucked away on a beautiful corner, has a cozy and inviting atmosphere with gorgeous decor. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn’t too crowded, which made it perfect for a relaxed visit. You order directly from the bartender, and while the prices are a bit higher, the cocktails are absolutely top-notch—well worth every penny! Their food was fantastic as well. I also discovered they have locations in Austin, TX, and DC—definitely on our list for future trips!
We had a great time here thanks to Dom! The whole experience felt personal and welcoming. We’ve been here a few times before, but this time really stood out. Dom went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time and was genuinely interested in making our visit special. It’s so rare to find someone so professional who also creates such a positive, friendly atmosphere. We’re excited to come back. Two drinks we recommend: flying boat and doctor’s order. Excellent service, amazing atmosphere and special drinks!
The Dead Rabbit in New York is such a cozy spot to kick back and relax. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, perfect for unwinding. The cocktails are fantastic, and the music just adds to the whole experience. I went alone and had such a great time—just enjoying the moment, sipping my drink, and soaking in the warm atmosphere. It’s one of those places where you can truly relax and enjoy the night.
Great drink selection and even better service. I love a good tequila cocktail and the hospitable bartender, John was accommodating enough to craft a great tequila based cocktail (not on the menu & not pictured). It was savory with a kick. I’m not really in the Fidi area very often, but I would definitely revisit this bar for their great staff alone! Ty🙏
The Dead Rabbit was absolutely spectacular — exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a special occasion. The ambiance was lively yet intimate, with just the right mix of energy and charm. What truly made our experience unforgettable was our bartender, Christi. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her service was impeccable, and her cocktail recommendations were spot-on. This place is a gem in NYC — we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
Got there Sunday when it first opened as I know it gets busy very quickly. We grabbed two seats in the Tap Room as we were there to try their famed Irish coffee. The coffee was everything it's hyped up to be and absolutely delicious and well balanced. Our bartender was absolutely lovely and friendly. After our Irish coffees, I ordered the Twilight Zone cocktail and my husband had the Irish Coffee Alexander. Those drinks were just as great as our first two. Our bartender wad quite the mixologist and made some incredibly balanced cocktails. Would definitely love to return and maybe try the food next time.
I literally took a bite of this grilled salmon and just had to say it’s cooked to perfection! I am absolutely delighted and flabbergasted to have tasted such delicious salmon. The non-alcoholic cocktail were also really taste and not just some frizzy drink mixed. Place was packed but I was still able to find a place to sit. The waitress that helped me with my order was really nice. Would definitely come back again!
The food and drinks here are amazing. We had reservations for the parlor, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the LA Condesa, Nuts 4 Nuts, and the Flight Plan. For dinner, I had the steak and chips. We all split the Irish Coffee tiramisu. The service was impeccable. Friendly, kind and knowledgeable about drinks suggestions. The Parlor was cozy and intimate with great music playing.
Very cool pub. Drinks and foods are really nice. You can find lots of different draught beer. Also, food quality is high. The design is also game changer. I was there Friday evening and it would be the best time to go there. I’ll definitely go back. We spent 3-4 hours there. The prices are a bit expensive because of the location.
This was voted my family's favorite place on our trip to NYC. Thought we already had another top experience they were raving about but the Dead Rabbit dethroned it and got rave reviews from everyone from drinks to food to total experience. Our server was attentive and just a joy. This was for lunch with 3 kids ages 20, 16, and 13. Make reservations but was awesome to show them wallstreet them hit this amazing place for lunch. Thanks so much for treating us well and we will definitely be back.
I stopped in on a late Friday afternoon for a drink and was not disappointed. Friendly crowd a bit packed in, but everyone getting along. Had a Taking Liberties and thoroughly enjoyed it. Followed that with a pint. Made some friends. Came back the next day for a drink and a snack. Iced Irish coffee is perfect for a hot day. I love, love that their TVs and be pushed up to the ceiling and lit if the way when there's no special game on. Perfect adaptation. No notes.
Great spot! $2 oysters $8 Guinness during happy hour. Standing room only — unless prepared to wait! Oysters are small. Location- 🤩 fantastic. Same with interior! Only reason not 5stars for food is bc one of the 3dozen oysters my guest and I ordered was off gassing an unappetizing smell. I didn’t eat it, and let the bartender know that the one oyster wasn’t good. ☹️ sadly our next dozen didn’t have an extra to replace the one bad oyster. I didn’t check but don’t think they took it off the bill either. UPDATE: Overall- presentation and service were phenomenal in retrospect. While I originally gave a 4-star, that felt unfair for the level of service The Dead Rabbit offers.
As one of the best bars in NY, I was looking forward to this place. It’s packed, but I still was able to get a table and order food and drinks relatively fast. The Doctors Orders was amazing, a true fall drink, and their signature coffee drinks were all great. The food was good for a “pub”, unfortunately I dint get a chance to access the second floor, so have to come back for that. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Great bar to hang out with friends and grab a few drinks. This time we sat downstairs but we usually like to go upstairs since it’s more intimate. The place was busy and full, but we were able to grab a table for 10 in the back. Bunch of us ordered Guinness and few others got the frozen Irish coffee along with cocktails, which was delicious. Great bar bites as well; we ordered the scotch eggs, sausage rolls, fries and popcorn. Definitely recommend!
Great experience at The Dead Rabbit. The espresso martini and Irish coffee are both excellent must-tries if you’re visiting. The tomato soup was surprisingly standout, rich and flavorful, and the house-made chips were great. The tiramisu is creamier than the classic version, personally I loved the texture, though my friend thought it was just okay. I will definitely be visiting with friends again! **Don’t forget to ask about the saw dust on the floor (it’s not just there for decoration)
I have heard of The Dead Rabbit since day one and I have also fallowing it it on Instagram, as I don’t live here all the time but in Europe, it has taken so long to try it out. We were a party of 3 which the 2 are fussy with cocktails. Both were won over by the excellent prepared drinks. We tried the IRISH COFFEE ALEXANDER, DOCTOR'S ORDERS, OLD FASHIONED, HEAD OVER HEELS. All were pleased with their choices and as one of my friends normally drinks Old Fashioned cocktails, she said it was the best one she ever had. We were all pleasantly pleased with our choices for food which we did not expect it to be of such a high quality due to it being pub food. But it was! We had the oysters, the burger, the fried fish and the boneless fried chicken. The service by Trea, (I’m sure I spelled it wrong) was excellent, friendly, professional. We all felt very welcomed in a very busy and crowded place. And even though crowded we were not pushed or shoved. The ambience of the place was fun loving and festive. To end the evening, we were served with a complementary drink and feft delighted that we finally came to the Dead Rabbit after so many years knowing about it. Only 2 photos as I was enjoying myself too much to take any more.
My wife and I are bartenders in Florida and we came to NYC to experience some of the bars that we admire and inspire us. An amazing treat and our favorite find of all the wonderful bars we visited. The Irish Coffee Martini was fabulous. I had a tequila cocktail, which I can not find the name now, but was so refreshing and turned up the senses. Also, the Irish Breakfast is as good as you can get it. We honeymooned in Ireland and have not found an Irish breakfast that compares until now. Thank you Dead Rabbit, we will never forget this experience and will come back to you!
The Dead Rabbit has a great name and an even more interesting setting.....once inside. The deco of the place speaks to the history of the area. The lobster devil eggs were unbelievable. I ordered the house drink "Doctors Orders" and it was amazing....I had 3. Melissa was our server and she was great. I highly recommend this place and its a must visit!!
Is it one of the best - yes. Big hype about the Guinness, and it really didn’t disappoint. Love the sawdust and the total vibe. Staff were great - and we have a brilliant time, make sure you take a dollar bill so you can write a little note and the team will staple it to the wall for you. They sad they never ever take these down, so it’s a nice thought to return some day and see the note you might have written years ago. ENJOY!
The Dead Rabbit is hands down my favorite bar in NYC. The bartenders are incredible—knowledgeable, friendly, and always professional, even when the place is buzzing. And trust me, it does get busy, so be prepared for a lively crowd. I usually hang out in the Tap Room, which has the perfect pub energy, but the Parlor upstairs is an absolute must-visit. Definitely make a reservation for the Parlor—it’s worth it. The Dead Rabbit is all about great Irish pub food, top-tier cocktails, and one of the best pints of Guinness you’ll find anywhere in NYC. A classic for a reason. 🍀🍺
We had a reservation for parlor for my 10k birthday. The Irish coffee was the best! They also so kindly gave us tiramisu for free and switched the drinks we found too strong with some gentler ones. Loved it!
The Dead Rabbit has become my favorite bar in NYC. The Parlor on the first floor is amazing. I went there for a few cocktails, and the bartenders’ knowledge, along with the vibe, is top-notch. Definitely my kind of experience. Really worth it.
Absolutely incredible food and unique cocktails. We reserved a table in the Parlor Room and while it seemed most customers were only getting drinks, we ordered the steak and the dry aged burger and both were sublime, and finished the meal with a sticky toffee pudding, which I never see at restaurants anymore. The servers were incredibly attentive and our glasses were never empty. This is a must for anyone who loves an elevated NYC pub experience.
We tried to reserve a table on the site and there was no availability. We were only a few blocks away so we stopped to see if we could squeeze in, and they made it happen. So, cocktails were outstanding! Tried the falling slowly(slowly falling?), not remembering what it is called is compliment enough. The other I couldn't pronounce if you gave me a week of practice, but it was as good as the name is hard. Food; lobster deviled eggs, we almost came to blows over the last one. We have been married 31 years, pretty sure I would've been throat punched if I had reached for it. Pumpkin soup was a real treat, and the fish was absolutely perfectly fried. The kinda crisp that lasts until the last bite. Stellar job friends.
Came here after an event in the area because I’m never this far down, and wow I’m glad I did! The Parlor upstairs is such a cool experience, and the drink menu is unreal. The bartender, Justin I think, was fabulous, and the miso pina colada…woah. The lobster and caviar eggs were also 10/10. Thanks Justin for the baby Irish coffee. Will be back!
This bar is one the most highly rated in the area. And it has an amazing selection of whiskeys. We were there on a Friday night and it was busy! Recommend reservations if you want a table. We walked in and found 2 seats at the bar. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks we had were strong and delicious. This would be a really fun bar for groups of friends.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Dead Rabbit is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, lively, and full of character—perfectly blending classic charm with modern energy. The food is outstanding, crafted with incredible attention to detail and bold, memorable flavors. Every dish feels thoughtfully designed and beautifully presented. The drinks are truly world-class—expertly mixed, balanced, and creative, easily some of the best you’ll find anywhere. What really elevates the experience, though, is the service: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed or pretentious. Whether you’re there for a special occasion or just a great night out, The Dead Rabbit delivers on every level. An absolute must-visit and well deserving of five stars. If you want it shorter, more casual, or more enthusiastic, I can tweak it in seconds. 🍸✨
This is the spot! The bartenders are fun and can make delicious craft cocktails! Oh, and pour a beautiful Guinness. Yes… I split the G. We popped in at 6:30 on a Monday and we were lucky to find an open spot standing at the upstairs bar. This place was buzzing with energy. It’s hard to not smile when you step foot inside. Here’s the deal folks, don’t let the name fool you, it’s very much lively!
Went there for a drink since I live in the neighborhood and had long noticed this NYC bar landmark. It was in December, which was perfect timing: the Christmas decorations were everywhere, from the ceiling to the drinks themselves, and really added to the experience. The cocktail selection was excellent: seasonal, creative, and high quality. Everything looked tempting. We did have to wait about 15 minutes outside because of the "after-work rush", but after around 7:30 pm there was no line anymore. We ended up in the main room, seated at the bar. The staff was friendly, the space was clean, and it wasn’t overly loud for an NYC bar. Overall, a very good experience. I’m not sure it’s THE place for a long night of drinking, but it’s definitely worth going for the atmosphere and the experience.
Had booked here two weeks in advance for a special occasion while visiting NYC, and we were glad we did. Has many different nods to Ireland, although the sawdust isn't something you'd normally see in Ireland but it's a fun touch. The hype around the Irish coffee was worth it! The old fashioned, however, considering we in the home of that cocktail, wasn't amazing and no orange peel or maybe a maraschino cherry? It's a simple drink so it needs each component. Plenty of Rye in it which I guess is the most important detail. On a side note, "Nollaig Shona Duit" is the spelling - you have it wrong on your menus (+h) and wrong on your staff t-shirts (dúit). Go raibh maith agaibh as ucht an t-am iontach a chaith muid ann! We'll be back, le cuidiú Dé :)
A Christmas cracker! Even without the decorations we would be giving a 5 star review. Irish coffee is out of this world, it was the biggest recommendation from friends before going and it surpassed expectations. The shepherds pie was delicious and the beef sandwich too. What really made it different though was the service - really felt like the went the extra mile for their customers. Prepare for it to be busy though - we turned up at midday and it was full already!
What a wonderful Saturday brunch treat in this classic yet modern Irish pub. The decor is really cool along with signed dollar bills and photos around the walls and ceiling, Irish frozen coffee machine, etc. Their cocktails are delicious and eye pleasing. Their authentic Irish fares and drinks were absolutely a delight. We had the Irish Breakfast, oysters, fried boneless chicken, ham and cheese toasties and chips, Irish frozen coffee and a perfectly pourer pint of Guinness. We also went to Dead Rabbit at night before and they had really great Irish music as well 🥰
Been coming here for years. Every single time, it’s a good time. Off night. Weekend. Holiday. Every. Single. Time. The staff is always sooooo nice. Several rooms and vibes to choose from. Every single entree I’ve had to eat here is amazing. Tonight I tried the ham and cheese and later the shepherd’s pie. Both.. amazing! All of the cocktail holiday drinks were on point. I rarely give 5 stars. This place truly deserves all of them. Every single time I visit. Keep it up. Thank you!!! This a must go to for locals and
This fantastic Irish pub deserves every bit of its stellar rating. We had the short rib sliders, the mouth watering lamb chop shorts and the house chips. Plus Guinness and frozen Irish coffee. Everything was perfectly done. Super friendly and attentive staff. The decor is one of a kind. We got there at 5:30pm on a Tuesday. The place was packed but they sat us right away.
Had an amazing experience at the tap room - drinks were very adventurous and the fried chicken hits right home. Midnight pearl and mango soba were definitely my favorites. Ambiance was great and staff were really helpful and friendly. We had a slight emergency situation but gladly the manager Vladi was able to come in and take care of it right on. Would definitely come back for more.
Great Irish vibe, definitely reminiscent of being in Ireland. The service was great, everyone was very friendly. The Irish coffee was sublime and the Guinness pour and temperature was spot on, honestly can’t think of a better Guinness I’ve had outside of Ireland. I grabbed the short rib sliders to snack on and they were very flavorful and fork tender. They also have a phenomenal Irish whisky selection.
The Irish coffee is a must-try, you won’t be disappointed. The Old Fashioned was good, though a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. The fried chicken was just okay, nothing particularly special. The tiramisu was one of the best I’ve had. We sat in the Parlour, which had great vibes and good service, making for a pleasant overall experience. We did not have a reservation for parlor, but still managed to get a table on a Sunday.
Drank at the tap room. I remember a time when the tap room only had beer. I am so pleased to know they have cocktails and food available now. This place has always been impeccable. I’ve been here a handful of times and never left disappointed. I can’t remember the names of the drinks but they had a cocktail that had Guinness and it really was a standout, as well as the Irish coffee Alexander, and I don’t even like coffee 🤣. Don’t sleep on the Scotch eggs either. Best ones I’ve had! This one really upsets me that we don’t have something similar in Vegas. I mean we have bars but this one just has something about it 😁
My husband and I had an incredible time at The Dead Rabbit! It was a highlight of our bar crawl, and we were completely blown away by the unique experience. The place has a fantastic energy, and we loved that each floor offered a different vibe. The cocktails were the star of the show. I had a special drink where the bartender spritzed a perfume on my hand to enhance the aroma as I sipped—a truly unforgettable sensory experience! The food was delicious, too; we especially enjoyed the deviled eggs. With amazing drinks, tasty bites, and a super cool atmosphere, The Dead Rabbit is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!
Great bar just round the corner from our hotel. Katie was great behind the bar and got chatting to Tom, local and another couple visiting from Texus, who shared their corned beef recipe! We also ordered food which was well cooked and very delicious. I had the lamb chops and hubby had fried chicken and fries. Enjoyed our visit from Manchester, UK.
I have been wanting to stop into this bar for years, especially as I’ve heard they pour a near perfect Guinness. The atmosphere is different from what I expected as it’s not as classy as I thought it would be. It does have a Dublin feel though. The Guinness was a 7/10 at best. Presentation and pour were nice but the flavor is just missing when compared to a pint in Ireland. The Irish coffee was outstanding and had that same flavor profile as the one I drank in Dublin. The service was outstanding, especially for how packed it was. I did not get her name, but the female bartender with blonde hair was truly special. She always made sure we were good on drinks, always smiling and just kept the large crowd of customers happy. Any establishment would be truly lucky to have someone like her to represent their business.
Three of us went there on a Friday night. Tables are small, place can get crowded. This is in the financial district so there were a lot of Wall Street business people there. Some with a big ego who took up a lot of space. Anyway, Kate was our server and the service she gave us was incredible. We ordered the Fish and Chips, which was well cooked, with a Harps beer batter, mushed peas and fries. The fish itself could have had more seasoning. The Turkey pot pie was very good and the drinks were excellent. Will definitely go again. When we went, the place was decorated for Christmas and it was very festive.
We were desperately looking for somewhere for lunch, and the reviews looked good. Arrived at 11.50 and was told the restaurant section of the pub will open at 12 pm where children can be. The other section was a bar for over 21s only. We were allowed to wait inside the aircon, was appreciated. I'd recommend booking in advance as this place got busy very quickly. It is very cramped. We were super close to the table next to us. No kids' menu and prices are expensive for the portion size. 16 bucks for a bowl of chips! They were very nice but hugely overpriced. Decor is nice with Irish music playing, not an Irish person in sight lol apart from me! I'm not sure there were much Irish drinks on the menu, but they had Magners and Guinness, and that was enough. Food was lovely just needed more for the price. Great atmosphere. Small so only suitable for a small group. Would definitely return!
It is a very cool old style pub. Expensive for a pub, for sure. They charge a fee for credit card transaction. Is this a new thing in NYC? Answering to Jack: you charge 25% on the top of the prices. The 20% gratuity comes already included in the check and the 5% for the credit card transaction fee (also included and mandatory).
Great place with an excellent atmosphere. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with the billing as we were double charged. Being charged an extra $500 is a significant amount for us, and it caused quite a hassle as we had to deal with the bank to cancel the duplicate charge. Despite the great ambiance, this billing issue greatly impacted our overall experience.
The food was great! We shared a number of items on the menu. We had the Chicken Pot Pie, chicken tenders, and the fish and chips. The food was definitely made fresh. The crust on the pot 🥧 was delicious! Compliments to the chef. The atmosphere was insane. Wall to wall people yet everyone made it work. Everyone was enjoying themselves despite being over capacity. Don't come here if you want a quiet evening.
The food was great — flavorful, well-prepared, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service was mediocre and the atmosphere didn’t really stand out. While the food alone makes it worth trying, the overall experience could be much better with improved service and ambiance.
Definitely an iconic place and super busy no matter when you go. The food was good. Our party ordered multiple different drinks and all were good--Dr's Orders is the one to try. It was made clear we had 2 hours to sit, eat and drink because reservations are stacked, so not a place to lounge and take your time with friends. Was fun to try.
The Dead Rabbit is a New York staple. Its one of my favorites for its diverse drink menu and great food options but one thing always brings me back. This bar opens at 11am. For older folks like me this is holy grail stuff. Let me get my drinks in early and I'll be back home before the sun goes down. More spots need to adopt this time frame. Jingle All The Way - I took a sip and said "Wow". Two kinds of whiskey, pink grapefruit, allspice, Vanilla and lime. On that first sip the Nutmeg hits you and then the lime and vanilla work together to make this mouth filling candy feel. the good kind of candy not the over the top kind. I usually don't like red grapefruit but this drink and the Paloma make an excellent argument for it. This should definitely stay on the menu past the holiday season. If you come during a time thats not the holidays this is called the doctor's orders. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Berry Merry - If this doesn't get you feeling festive then you dont have a heart beat. tequila, Mezcal, cranberry, cinnamon and elderflower make for one incredible combination. Nice and tart. Im biased but this is a banger (I like cranberry).👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Cookie Jar - Of course my eyes would lead me to the milk punch on the menu. Spicy from the chai and Irish whiskey then tempered with lemon tartness and coconut roundness this is an incredible milk punch. Damn good. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Irish Coffee - I don't drink coffee. I'm one of those odd balls who just wakes up. This was my first Irish coffee ☕️. No better spot to have it honestly. The warm coffee sipped through the cool crema is a fantastic sip. I'll never understand why people drink espresso martinis and not this instead. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great cocktails, meh bartender The upstairs Parlor at The Dead Rabbit is gorgeous and the cocktails are absolutely top-tier — no complaints there. But the bartender felt pretty checked-out: curt, not very welcoming, and seemed uninterested in helping with the menu. For a place known for hospitality, it was a letdown. Bartender was not that busy. Amazing drinks, beautiful room — just wish the service matched the vibe
What a way to ruin an experience. Doorman on Jan 18 making rude and asinine remarks to my Asian wife. Nothing to the white folks in front of me, nothing to me (white), nothing to the white people behind us. Thought it was a bit off going in but whatever until he did it again on the way out. When we called him out on it, the doorman just said he “was just making a joke”. Damn, ain’t need this stuff in 2026. Fire him, please? Thanks to the random lady joining in to call him out. Cocktails upstairs were excellent, bartender was fabulous, enjoyed the bar vibe and had every intention to return. Not anymore.
Yesterday, we visited The Dead Rabbit with all of our wedding guests. Instead of kindly asking us not to take photos inside the venue (as we had brought a professional photographer to capture memories of our wedding and the guests who traveled from different countries), the manager was extremely rude. When he heard us speaking Spanish, he began speaking to us in a very disrespectful way and even yelled at our photographer. We were a group of 10 people planning to stay for a long time, ordering cocktails and food. Instead, we had to ask for the check and leave because every time this manager approached us, he made it a point to make us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. In the end, we still paid a bill of more than $500, but we would never recommend visiting this place if that man is working there. On the other hand, all of the waiters and the bartender had an excellent attitude and did their best to make up for the problem caused by the manager. I ended up confronting him because I personally believe it was unfair that on such a special day like my wedding, we were treated so poorly and had our visit ruined at a bar we had been looking forward to for days. It is also important to add that our group included elderly people over 70 years old who do not speak English and who felt discriminated against and mistreated by this manager. I truly hope the company takes action and provides this individual with proper customer service training. We were behaving respectfully, and our intention was simply to enjoy the cocktails your bar is famous for, share that experience with our international guests, and have a good time. Unfortunately, this manager completely ruined what should have been a joyful experience. In the last photo, the manager was arguing with my brother-in-law, and that was the moment we decided to leave that place as soon as possible.

The Dead Rabbit: An Irish Heartbeat in NYC
There are some spots in New York that just feel like home, even if they're transporting you across the Atlantic. The Dead Rabbit, a true landmark in the city, perfectly embodies that feeling. The space is always clean and, for an NYC bar, remarkably not overly loud, allowing for actual conversation. If y...
