Drinks are amazing, pastries are delicious, and staff are lovely. Had the cinnamon roll with sticky apple toffee sauce and a cup of tea. Has a bathroom, wifi, and outlets, too. Definitely a great spot to study or hang out and chat!
As an artist I love the old style NYC where you could explore the city all day and find inspirational cafes to recharge in. The Lost Draft is an excellent cafe on all fronts… Location A+ Coffee A+ Ambience A+ Staff and Customers A+ Artisan/humanitarian A+ There is restroom . Lately due to the dearth of restrooms in NYC cafes, this location is a gem. Did I mention that YES, there is a restroom! Notice the beautiful thick napkins which lend an air of sophistication to the atmosphere. They have a lovely lined image to take notes or write down poetry. Thank you to The Lost Draft for bringing real cafe back.
Cozy, welcoming, and effortlessly cool—this café nails it. The coffee is top-notch, the staff is genuinely friendly, and the vibe is perfect for getting work done. Plenty of outlets, great music at the right volume, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. A true gem for remote work or a relaxing cup.
Very cute place to work! Nice music but not too loud and lots of people that are mainly on laptops so good for remote work/creative things
The Last Draft is actually a coffee shop with a twist, it is such a nice place to have a coffee, there is a wide selection of specialty coffee, like a strawberry latte coffee, so much choice with lots of pastry snacks, the prices maybe high but it’s worth it, the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive to your requirements. The shop is a pleasant haven to work within with a nice theme and free strong WIFI, it’s spacious with good solid decor with a good tag line on the wall, so if you want ‘ fancy ‘ coffee this is the place to come
I’m big into working out of coffee shops. In NYC it’s almost impossible to find a coffee shop that has seating, outlets, a restroom and good coffee. This has all of that and then some! Highly recommend if you need to kill a few hours being productive.
One of my favorite coffee shops in the city!! Laptop friendly, which is hard to find in the city, especially during the weekend, they close late, the coffee is amazing and the music is top tier!! Also the BEST staff 11/10 would recommend (:
My 4 year old son was about to burst and as we searched frantically for a parking spot or place to pee we stumbled upon this amazing place. They were kind, courteous and friendly greeting us with a knowing smile and gesturing to the bathroom. They assured us that we were in a safe place. The music was soft and the smell of delicious croissants was mouth watering. My son and I enjoyed a fruit cup (strawberries and blueberries) which were refreshingly fresh. I highly recommend you take a visit to The Lost Draft. 5 stars :-)
Lovely ambience. Delicious coffee. Would recommend to everyone who asks. I am going to tell my grandchildren about the Lost Draft Cafe. Thank you New York for providing me with so a unique experience.
Food, atmosphere for working, and coffee/tea are outstanding. Huge plus its open late until 7pm too. G is an awesome barista/host!! Highly recommend
I came to The Lost Draft on Broome Street for an event with Cursor and had an amazing experience. There was plenty of space for everyone to work comfortably. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed — ideal for both productivity and socializing. Gia and Ken were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks menu, which made the experience even better. Definitely planning to come back soon to work from here again.
I had a delicious meal including a Cold Brew, Overnight Oats made fresh at the establishment, as well as a side order of Cheddar Bacon Egg Bites. It was an amazing experience.
i enjoyed my cafe hop experience here, love the interior, the space is big, took good photos. The coffee is amazing as well, same goes with the pastry. (I appreciate cafes that’s a little extra with their coffee cups, plates and decor because that adds up to a great hop.) Too many people working here though. Good thing i was able to get a spot. Will definitely come back and try other items in the menu!
A place for real writers with really good coffee and unreal vibes. I lowkey want to gatekeep, such a nice oasis in the soho chaos. Try the matcha cookie!
Lil expensive but the vibe is RIGHT! I love a good remote working spot WITH OUTLETS and this is one of my go-to’s. I’m a video editor so the fact that the place is cinema oriented is a plus. Coffees are made proper and not too milky. I feel like there’s always someone working on something important here, so who knows who you might meet. Love this spot!
Great laptop-friendly spot in the LES if you have a project to work on for an extended period of time. Outlets, wifi, and an atmosphere conducive to remote work/writing. Custom coffee menu is delicious with fun seasonal options.
Really great coffee spot with a cool, laid-back vibe. The rose latte is amazing—probably the best I’ve ever had, definitely a must-try if you’re in NYC. The staff went above and beyond, serving us coffee even right before closing. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the city. 💌
The Lost Draft has the best flat white in manhattan! The staff were super friendly as well and accommodated our group. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in NY!!
Met a friend for coffee here! Besides the great company, I also really enjoyed the coffee. I had a lavender cappuccino, which was lovely. The staff is friendly and there were plenty of spaces to sit and chat. I’ll be recommending to friends!
Haven’t heard people talk about this spot! Walked by and came in. Absolutely loved the music, the seats, the charging spots, the amount of natural light, great coffee too! I also loved the walls of people’s writing/signatures
Absolutely amazing! This has been one of my favorite cafe’s for the past four years! The service is wonderful, the coffee is amazing, and the environment is upbeat with fantastic community spaces!
the vibe here is amazing, they play nice & trendy music. i got an iced matcha latte and it was delicious, highly recommend. i like how theres a lot of space & seating, perfect if you are looking for a space to study, catch up with a friend, or just chill inside when it's freezing outside. they have wifi and bathrooms for customers.
Lost Draft is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a haven. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, making it a space where you can truly settle in. Whether you're grabbing a high-quality drink, enjoying a delicious pastry, or just soaking in the creative atmosphere, it’s a spot that feels like home. I’ve often come here to work, escaping my apartment for a refreshing change of pace. With plenty of natural light and an inviting ambiance, it’s the perfect place to get things done—or simply unwind. They even offer a private back room for rent, ideal for group meetings or those needing a quiet workspace. I can’t recommend Lost Draft enough. The vibes, the menu, the people—it’s one of the best coffee spots around. Thanks for existing, LD!
Had a matcha oat latte on a weekend morning. It was pricey, but delicious. Place was great to work at with sufficient tables and plenty of power outlets. All tables were occupied by hardworking New Yorkers by 11am, so come early. Loved that the counter ladies were very chill and friendly.
Love going here for a treat! Q, one of the baristas, always goes out of his way to make sure the drink is perfectly made with all the beautiful touches, no matter how busy the store is. Great flavor too! My strawberry mocha tastes like strawberries & chocolate & great coffee—what more can you ask?
Service is great- fast and very nice. Coffee is excellent. The atmosphere is great - never too loud or too quiet to work in, which they encourage people to do. I have not had any of the real food but the pastries are good. And it's really nice working in an environment that so obviously is dedicated to fostering the artistic community. The mailbox is a neat idea.
We dropped in for a quick snack and coffee. The staff was wonderful! So friendly! We got the special lattes—honey rose and strawberry mocha—along with a new apple cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the neighborhood!
Came here on the company's dime and enjoyed thr hell out of it. Got to use their tiny but cozy study booth. Staff was nice and considerate on how much time they can give me in the room. Good music too. And of course, good lattes. I got the osmanthus!
This place is actually so cute and they do a nice little deal where they give you tomato soup and a grilled cheese croissant for $10 every day from 10-3 and it was so good - they also have a lot of seating and outlets so I would totally come back here any time I need to do work
such an amazing cafe!!! love the atmosphere, all the staff members are so nice (shoutout to Q, he was really sweet)
Always stop by whenever I’m in the neighborhood. One of the last few places with good coffee and lots of seating and no guilt trip if you linger a bit. A fading type of space in this city and especially in this neighborhood.
Hands down the best cafe I’ve been to in the LES. They have so many fresh-baked options and an amazing variety of drinks, everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The space is also incredibly clean, which honestly makes such a difference. I’ve tried basically every local WFH cafe in the area, and this one is by far my favorite. What really stood out was the service, I was immediately greeted by all of the staff (which feels surprisingly rare for NYC cafes haha). I also met Tay, one of the baristas, and she was so kind and welcoming- she genuinely made my visit that much better. You can tell the team really cares about the experience here and just having all around good vibes. Can’t recommend it enough
Today was my first time at The Lost Draft! Super cute coffee shop to wander into. I was welcomed by very friendly staff members. had the Honey Rose Latte and Cheese Croissant. The coffee tasted like nothing I've ever had before and the cheese croissant was so warm and perfectly toasted. The vibes in here are just so cool! The music they play over the speakers is a perfect volume, I feel like a lot of public places play music VERY LOUDLY, but this was great. Free water and wifi is also a great perk to spend some time here. Thank you to the staff :)
I have visited this cafe a few times now and it’s always been a great experience! They have a nice variety of drink and pastry options. Love that there’s a ton of seating as well! It does get a bit crowded so come early to grab a seat!
Super welcoming vibe and a very attentive staff! Met up with some friends to catch up and the barista saw we were crowded around a tiny table so they hooked us up with a giant table. To top it off, my hot chocolate was divine.✨
I’ve been searching for a sesame latte to top the black sesame latte from Tadaima, and the Lost Draft now has my second favorite. The sesame is wonderfully blended and adds an earthy, caramelized flavor to the latte. This is also a great place to work, having good WiFi, outlets, lots of seating, and a bathroom.
The staff is super friendly here! This place is great to get work done at, they have tons of tables and power outlets. There’s a bathroom available as well, which not too many cafes have in the city, so a huge bonus. The chocolate chip cookie is homemade and their strawberry matcha is awesome! 10/10 as a cafe connoisseur 🙂↕️🙂↕️
I’ve been frequenting this place for about a year. This is my go-to spot to relax or study when I’m in the SoHo area. Spacious, bright, and lively. They have strong A/C, a lot of natural light, plenty of seating, and is quite spacious. Even when it’s busy and packed, it doesn’t feel overwhelming nor crowded. You’ll find a vast array of people come through here - students, shoppers, tourists, etc. It’s a bit of every type of person in NYC. As for the food, I usually get an espresso - pretty solid. Their other drinks are also fairly good. I don’t think I’ve gone wrong with the drinks I’ve had so far. Cookies and pastries are fine. They do have a popcorn machine! A few times I got popcorn on the house. I’m glad to see this place is doing well for itself. This is a nice place to work, to chat with friends, or to just unwind.
The staff was so nice and kind. I got a free cookie :D And they were very accommodating with seating. My Yuzu Peach Iced Tea was delicious, it wasn’t over brewed which was great. They were very forthcoming with details aboutlol sugar content in drinks and etc. the bathroom was very clean and nice and the vibes where very cute and spacious— definitely breathable. Maite Was AMAZING!!!!!
Randomly found this café to escape the heat, and wow… I’m so glad I did. Shoutout to the barista Maite for recommending these two drinks and they were AMAZING. I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to for this one. Please try the pistachio latte with sesame cold foam or pandan foam, and the matcha latte with strawberry syrup 🤌🏻🤌🏻 10/10.
I had a delicious apple pie cinnamon roll and a hot caramel macchiato. Great combination and definitely recommend. The staff were friendly and patient and the coffee was rich and a strong brew.
Really nice coffee options and good selection of pastries. The coffee shop is very deep so there are a lot of seats however must of the people come here with a laptop and stay for long so it’s probably you won’t find a seat. I worked here and it’s a really good option. The wifi was good, they have a lot of power outlets. Maybe only don’t come if you need to take calls because it’s very loud.
Standard New York cafe prices but they do have a lot of fun specials and the coffee never disappoints. The staff is a hit or miss though. They’re usually rather unpleasant to deal with but every now and then you’ll get somebody that is sliiiiightly less off putting.
Good cafe, nothing special but still good. Pastries are good, the coffee wasa decent. would recommend if in the area.
Here’s a personal review in American English for The Lost Draft: The Lost Draft – Personal Review The Lost Draft is one of those spots that instantly feels like your neighborhood bar even if it’s your first time there. Walking in, you’re greeted by a lively yet relaxed atmosphere — warm lighting, a mix of booths and high tops, and the buzz of good conversation. It’s exactly the kind of place you want for a casual night out or a laid-back dinner with friends. One of the biggest draws here is the beer selection — creatively curated and constantly rotating. Whether you’re into crisp lagers, hoppy IPAs, or something a little more experimental, there’s almost always something new and interesting on tap. It’s a fun place to explore different brews without feeling overwhelmed. The food pairs perfectly with the drinks. The menu leans toward elevated pub classics — think flavorful wings, loaded fries, tasty sandwiches, and shareable plates that are great for grazing or making a full meal out of it. Everything I tried was solid: well-seasoned, satisfying, and exactly what you want alongside a cold draft. Service at The Lost Draft feels friendly and authentic. Staff are attentive without being pushy and are happy to recommend beers or favorite dishes, which adds to the welcoming vibe of the place. The crowd here feels diverse — from after-work groups and couples to people out for a casual weekend hang. It’s lively without ever feeling chaotic, which makes it a great go-to whether you’re in the mood for a relaxed dinner or just drinks and conversation.
Great vibes but questionable mixing mechanics. My friend and I were looking for unique latte spots around SoHo, and this place came up. We stopped by late afternoon on a weekend, and the café was absolutely packed with people working. We grabbed seats at the bar and ordered their popular osmanthus latte and honey rose latte, both iced. The lattes themselves were solid, but because we got them iced, it felt like the honey and syrups didn’t fully integrate into the coffee. The first 80% of the drink was just generic latte, and we kept swapping cups trying to figure out which was which. It wasn't until we hit the bottom of the cup that the flavors finally woke up and punched us in the face. I’d recommend ordering these hot if you want a more even flavor from start to finish.
Nice place, good corridors. I loved the whole idea of the coffee shop. We stoped by on a Monday afternoon and all of the seats were taken, not that we were trying to stay for long, but I assume that most people come and work there for a while. The pricing is on a higher end. Overall good coffee, but nothing special customer service wise.
The gentleman behind the bar was very rude as I walked in. Very short as I asked about the menu, made me dump out a drink I was finishing up as I walked into a nearly empty cafe (i.e. even if its policy the way it was communicated was very rude), his entire energy was just extremely off-putting. I understand life sometimes makes it difficult to keep a positive attitude at work, but being rude to customers in a service industry position is just unfortunate. His demeanor alone makes me not want to return. Good coffee and free wifi though!
The staff here are lovely and even gave us a free cookie after forgetting part of our order, but unfortunately, the food and drinks were disappointing. Both vanilla latte and cookie butter were disappointing, and the egg bites were served cold in the center. We ended up having to toss most of our order. Great service, but the quality of the food just wasn't there.
Tried this place out a few times. Their cold brew was not good. I came back to try a latte instead and truly could not finish it. The espresso was so burnt and sour I was so disappointed. Maybe if you get something with extra flavors or specialty lattes the taste could be masked but the coffee itself was just so disappointing every time. Everyone is always so nice so I am sad to say it but the product is just not good- consistently. Much better to be found steps away.
Today was super cold, I wanted to buy something hot but decided to use bathroom first, I’ve been working outside all day and it’s the coldest day of the year. I would have totally bought a coffee to warm up when I was done but the lady pulled me aside and loudly explained that it’s for paying customers only, I would have been a paying customer if you saved me some grace, I really had to pee and was considering shopping at your establishment. There was a racial undertone as the gentleman who was sitting down also tried to block my path on the way to the bathroom, I am white, neither of the people I spoke to were. I don’t care, you can be racist to white people too, esp if we’re immigrants. Thanks for proving why I should never spend a dollar here, you take your job too seriously, you’ll catch more bees with honey.
Save yourself a trip here! From the condescending baristas visibly annoyed at the sight of entering customers to the polarizing electronic music, the space aims for creative energy but ultimately falls flat. For a better experience, head to Embriago Coffee, Butler Bakeshop, or Urban Backyard, where the staff is welcoming, the atmosphere is inviting, and creativity actually thrives.
