The food was nice and hot. The criscut fries were very good. Also, customer service was great and respectful. I would come here again.
The food is what you would expect from the chain. The atmosphere is what gives it the 5 stars. It was quiet and warm on cold morning , the staff were polite and stayed out of the way.
Add my food ready quickly, very friendly. Work inefficiently
July 8, 2023 I really liked this restaurant in reference to customer service and food. Overall, I recommended to other close friends. Thanks! Thank you, Marcus Pea
This carl's junior has no drive threw. That's why I like going to this location-there open late until 12am and you can walk in and order.theres a armed security guard there at all times.great staff very friendly.
If you are homeless you can use your EBT CARD there is a CODE they put under ur card. Just not in Fairfield Ca Oakland does it. And you can use coupons with your EBT CARD
Finally!!!! Was thinking that customer service skills was no where to be found!!! Is it a lost art? Thank goodness there is still youth being raised with respect!!!!! Thank you Darian for restoring my faith in both today’s youth and in customer service skills!!!!!! This boy needs to be recognized and praised and used to show others how to treat customers!!! Hopefully he goes places!!!!
The $5 meal deal has made Carl's a new favorite. I can hardly afford their $12 combos so until recently my visits were a rare thing. I hope the box combo for $5 is here to stay because if so I will keep coming back!
2 combos without any extras came up to eat at home if you can fast food is gone very ridiculous as far as cost is concerned. Too expensive
Vegetarian Beyond Burgers! Really great taste, hopefully the $4.00 price premium will go down. Vegan is possible but I didn't try that. Add in some of the best fries in town and real ice cream milkshakes and blam, veggie meals for all!
Dining room was Immaculate! Very clean and very friendly staff. I went at night time I don't know about the day shift but the night crew seems to be pretty nice and friendly
They were kind of short-handed it looks like. But the gentleman came and took our order. Then a young lady came from back that was in the kitchen helping to help him out. Then also saw a guy cleaning the tables and just cleaning the surfaces of the restaurant which was a good thing to see. But what I will say is the breakfast burger was super expensive. We got three of them and a soda. And that was just I believe the breakfast itself. Sandwich was like $7 a piece. For me. That's expensive especially if it ain't coming as like in a combo type meal. So that was again three sandwiches for $7 and some change and then a soda and then taxes. That's expensive. Ridiculous but my dad wants to stop there and get him something to eat. And you know that's my dad so he's been a blessing in my life so I didn't mind spending it on him and my mom. will definitely come back but was it much less spending like maybe a dollar menu? Lol j/k
Quiet with hardly any customers.
My mom's boyfriend and I went for lunch and my daily walk at same time. Carl's Jr. is my one favorite spots. Surprisingly my fish sandwich was still available. They fix it perfect to my liking with no problems🙂. Everything was hot. Our orders were ready promptly.
Love the place. Employees, security guard, Food. Everything
while I haven't seen the place, since my parents go here, the food is a 5, 5 stars. oh and also I feel like the people there are nice and did the order right.
Gabriel provided the greatest fast food service experience of my life. That man is straight out of a sitcom.
Quick and friendly service, which was what I needed after a bad experience at the Grocery Outlet nearby.
I’m honestly impressed by this location. Ordered multiple times and every single order has always been great quality. The waffle fries were incredible, and the burgers are always fresh and on point. I’ve been skipping Carl’s Jr for years but this location made me return multiple time, and I’ll be returning more frequently in the future.
The cashier name Gabriel was so helpful ,show me how to use the app while being friendly i usually dont eat fast food but this my be my to go place now
Friendly staff, fresh made food & a happy tummy! Always worth the drive.
I had the charbroiled chicken sandwich with fries. It was really good, whole wheat bun, bacon, and hot fries. The guard and the 2 women working the service counter greeted me upon arrival.
The kid working the counter at this location, deserves a medal.he was so kind to everyone he helped.it was quite a mix.one guy i thought was speaking in tounges.but the kid paid attention and questioned his as towhat he wanted on or with each item ordered.amazing.the food here seems somewhat upscale compared to some fast food.the deepfried mushrooms and veggies with a side of ranch.mmmmmmm
All around good place to grab something to eat, also accepts hot foodstamps for food for the unhoused. Only downside, no drive-thru . But employees have good customer service ! Food tasted good !
I hardly write reviews on fast food restaurants but I decided to write a review on this Carl’s Jr. Our family stopped by for a quick bite and the staff was really friendly and actually gave us FRESH hot food. Thank you!
it was great. they have good food there, hopefully if they do open back up again, I will try to eat inside the restaurant.
The customer service needs to be worked on but I think there's a better way for them to price there food. To much value. When added up.
No drive through, but I've started coming here because they serve impossible burger. They stay seem to hate their job and I don't blame them. I've only been at night so it's never been busy, but it's been chill and nicely lit, so never felt unsafe. I've seen a security guard there even.
Staff is nice and the food is good, but the drinks sometimes taste weird .
The only fast food chain in the bay that takes EBT FOOD! Great burgers and shakes. Although the male daytime manager can be a total a**hole Nazi about bicycles, the majority of the staff are friendly. I eat here often and rarely if any, have had an issue with my food. The menu is full of many different choics & the chicken tenders are an excellent choice if you ever wanted something other than a burger. Enjoy!
Love Carl's junior. Favorite fast food restaurant. Like there new tenders. Favorite sandwich is western bacon cheese burger. Wish they had a drive thru.
A pretty basic setup for a fast food joint. The service has been agreeable the few times I've visited-- the food is exceptionally delicious for what it is so, if there's a minor wait between ordering and getting your meal, it's all good. The dining area isn't a particularly comfortable space, with cramped booths. I've rarely ever seen dine-in patrons in the place. But it's great stuff to take out, so the dining facilities are completely inconsequential.
It was a very normal visit. My first time going in over 10 years. Service was great, food was good and fresh. We sat down to eat, it was pretty quiet in the restaurant it was around 6:30-7:00pm.
The night manager was so friendly and such a good spirited person. He looks like Ricky Ricardo from I Love Lucy. AKA Desi Arnaz
Probably most important thing to note is that there is no drive thru, but there is a small parking lot that I've never had trouble getting a space in. It may look a little dingy but the food has always been good and the customer service has always been decent or better. They have a security guard but I've never seen them have to do more than just sit around. I can understand why they are there, just not needed very frequently.
The Coupon code for buy one Western Cheeseburgers get one for $2 didn’t give me the rewards points and when I tried to make my purchase through the App the app froze during the payment process, so I had to come in person to pick up my order.
Bring back the Beyond Burgers and lettuce try the signature burgers with a plant based sub. liked the Beyond Burgers when they were available for a vegan burger option. The Ghost Pepper burger looks really good if I could get that in vegan. They take EBT and are open late. They also have security personnel at night but it's very safe there. It's close to MacArthur Bart and 6 bus route. I like the advertisements of enlarged food to show texture.
I don't know if any Carl's Junior has a drive-thru but this location does not and has limited parking. Staff is friendly but service and quality of food can be improved
They have nothing but expensive food .they charge a dollar for a little sandwich thats worth 35cents . and a regular cheese burger is 4 dollars and some change. And they do not have a drive through. Then they charge 62 cents for a little cookie thats worths 25 cents .
On the edge of an old beat up hood and a newer budding community of foodies.. this place can attract odd crowds . But if fatty burgers are your thing it's open late! 3 1/2 stars
A good friendly place to snack some decent junk food. Fries were better than most and the sandwich had some freshness to it. I'll eventually go back. Thanks guys.
Was expecting something better - western bacon cheeseburger had ok beef, rubbery bacon and while in the picture it looked like it should have fried onion rings I couldn't detect them. Fries were meh.
Bread was terrible. Looked & chewed as if it was a little underbaked. Bacon was not cooked thru. They did remake my burger so i had to give them 3 stars.
The food is good but it's more expensive than similar places to eat. Parking is decent and it isn't dirty or clean if that makes sense. A positive way to look at this place is it's less expensive than some restaurants, a negative way to look at it is it's expensive fast food... But it's less crowded which is why I went there.
Food was good but the staff needs to pay attention when taking orders. The cashier was so busy being nosey with what the other employee was doing that I had to re-tell them I said no to something and they put extra. Pay attention next time
Foods okay they do except ebt as well no bathroom or trash cans the place is obviously in a hard hit neighborhood so the dining g room usually.consist of a guy nodding out and a security guard no drive through but it's fairly clean and foods ok
This place has the kind of food that you would expect from a well-run Carl's Junior. However, expect pan handlers around there. They aren't really aggressive, just struggling, unless they have acute mental illness. Take that as a side note to getting good food from any place in the area.
The restaurant is very clean and the clerks are all respectful and very helpful in my experience. The meals can be a bit pricey, you can expect to spend anywhere between $11 and $20 for a combo.
The food is good when picked up don't get it delivered it's just soggy and warm but other then that it's Carl's jr so it's a hit or miss.
I like to enjoy me a Carl's Jr burger every blue moon. Only thing bothered me was the cashier Luna ringing up food touching money and scratching with without changing her gloves.
Last time I was there the woman at the counter told me they weren't serving shakes anymore. No Oreo shakes= no reason to go. But I went tonight to get some fried zucchini and asked the young guy at the register... And YEAH, OREO SHAKE is still on the menu. So that other cashier sucked. If you didn't want to make it, just lie and say it's broken... Don't gotta make people think the shakes are gone forever. 😣
This place is okay. Tired to relive the college "I love this burger" experience recently. That didn't pan out. Between the homeless guy in the corner booth and the (super nice) lady that worked there but clearly had her young kid at the restaurant while she was working, it wasn't the most amazing experience. It did the job in a pinch but it will be quite some time before I come back.
Paid $27 for a meal!!!! Never have I ever spent that much on fast food. Idk if it's a price gauge or the company is trying to make profit for lost income that was wicked expensive for a sanwhich, fries, drink and jalapeño poppers (9). It does NOT have a drive-thru (sadly) so you enter, order, wait, and leave. Aside from that, nice staff and clean space.
Place was very clean staff was really nice. The burger was okay but the fries tasted like the oil was old.
No drive thru and the staff worked hard but lacked leadership. They were out of common items and too relaxed on the covid protocols. Food was lack luster but usually the jalapeno burger is a winner just not at this location. 18.00$ for a combo was over priced for one person.
The food is always good here and customer service is fine. The parking os sufficient. They are handicapped by the lack of a drive-thru and being in a seedy area. The bathroom is always dirty while the lobby is almost always clean. They have a guard during the evening who keeps the bums away.
I went in, and the place was completely dead. I was the only one inside. The gentleman working the cashier was very friendly and gave me suggestions as I hadn't been to Carl's Jr. for quite some time. I ended up getting the famous start(single)with added bacon, which they charged me about $1.40 for what he said would be 2 strips of bacon. I thought that was pricey but was really craving some bacon. I got the combo(small), which came out to be $14. As soon as he put the order within A minute my burger was ready. I thought that's strange being that I literally JUST put in my order. And it states charbroiled. Don't they have to put it in the broiler to cook and that takes time? Is that not how it works? But oddly enough, I did in fact had to wait for my fries lol. I came home and found out that my burger had NO bacon. The taste surprisingly wasn't bad, but it didn't taste fresh. Which i figured since they had it ready already. The fries were actually tasty. Just the right amount of salt and taste fresh. Not too fried or too soggy. I give 3 stars due to customer service and fries. As far as burgers that was a big disappointment. It is a fast food place so I can't really expect too much either.
They were not able to redeem my free shake with the purchase because they wrung me up too fast and didn’t know how to adjust it on the computer. App is useless with this kind of situations.
I get my Breakfast burgers here on Fridays. Usually on point. Today 2/6/26, not that great. Cold patty, no cheese on my burger and light sauce. Idk what the cook was going through but they made my meal un delectable.
Nothing special, only set back was this is a mom and pop store not very professional, server was an owner without uniform and water ask without ice came with it,so was a turn down and no drink fountain for our own access. Other than that it was a C.
Everything is huge, however so is the amount of sodium in the food. I had to get a salad because everything else was over 1050 mg of sodium. If you don't have a problem with salt this place is definitely the place for you.
Nothing fast about this food. Two people working at 7:30am on a Friday? Come on management. One big order and causes a 10+ minute delay on all other orders. And the biscuit was tasteless.
Ok service and nice workers ,but they may need few helpers to speed up the decent food on rush hour a.m.,s as well as lunch influx.
Ate here the morning after I met my love. Ate here the night I registered to vote. Ate here the night I voted. Never did my tab exceed 10$, two burgers and a large coffee just cost me 25$, prolly never return.
I like Carl's jr. As a fast food restaurant in general and they have a lot of good options and great burgers but this review is based on this specific location. There is no drive thru and I would love it and would probably go there more often if they did have a drive-thru but the worst part is the type of people that are found in the restaurant itself. I feel like I'm constantly looking over my shoulder every time I go inside ask the sketchy characters that seem to be spending the day camped at the tables and it gets quite ghetto. Just recently there was a couple arguing with each other and the man was yelling for someone to call the police because she wouldn't leave him alone and someone in the corner was rolling a blunt on the table. There used to be a security guard there but I don't know what happened to him. Just expect to have your guard up when going in and placing an order and also keep an eye on who's around you and be prepared to run out!
Horrible Customer Service! Everthing I asked for I recieved the Complete opposite. I asked for freshly cooked they gave me an older burger, I gave it back they gave me a fresh single instead of my double. Waited for my double fresh, I got back to some cold criss cut friess. Blows my mind this is really happening. Bad from the minute "She" took my order.
Service ok-ish; food ok-ish but "does not look like on the menu" (say the kids) I wanted coffee without sugar - no sorry it's premixed they say pointing to a container in a tired looking cupboard. They were good, now they are in decline, and my fond memories from the past were left very unfulfilled.
Sketchy place and not particularly well prepared food. I figured I would splurge and got the organic grass fed burger. It was barely passable. Truburger is only half a mile away and infinitely better for not much more.
This place seems so overpriced for what you get and if you want anything extra, they nickel and dime you to death. This time they charged me $.50 for a dipping sauce & $.65 for a leaf of lettuce and that was on top of the steep $30 we already paid for two meals that weren't even that good. I'm sorry but that is just way too much for two people to eat at a fast food restaurant. And to add insult to injury, service is slow, the employees are rude & unhelpful & the food's not nearly as good as it used to be. We could've gone to a nicer place with good food & decent customer service for what we spent. This place always leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. I really don't know if I will be going back.
I recently visited Carl’s Jr in Oakland and unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. My order was incorrect, which was disappointing. What was even more frustrating was that the milkshakes, which are advertised, were not available. It’s disappointing when a menu item is consistently unavailable. I hope they can improve on these aspects to provide a better dining experience for customers.
I usually love Carl's Jr and was happy there was one near me, but this one is a dump. Food is still pretty decent, but there is no drive through, and it is located in a not so nice part of town. Really not a good combination if you want to grab some food quickly in the evening.
Nice staff. But looking for fast food - no drive thru, was inside 30 min between waiting in line to place order and getting food to go. Also, out of 3 drinks when trying to order --sprite, hi-c, sweet tea.
Had the crazy security guard give us issues because he didn't believe I was waiting for my order and then he decided to pull out a gun on me and a friend because he realized we really were waiting on an order and he didn't like being wrong.
Unprofessional, incompetent, judgmental and then avoiding giving receipts so that people can't complain to corporate about their stores lack of efficiency and lack of customer service.their so incompetent that their phone doesn't even work so first I had go 2 miles to get the food then another two miles to get the missing food and another 2 miles to go back get the managers name and store number and the cashier's name to corporate Elriel is one of those two.and I can't even fill out the survey because the receipt they gave me doesn't have the store number, but no worries I WILL be going back to get it asap and maybe get these two employees placed somewhere where they don't have the wits about them to do something as simple as frying chicken, flipping burgers ,taking money, giving change and a receipt.Too top everything off there was only one other customer in the whole restaurant including the drive-thru so there was no pressure that excuse this blatant incompetence and disregard for your customers.and honestly the cashier working the register seemed to look at me and treat me as if I was burdening her simply by being there giving her my money.
Over priced food and limited selection, they removed all the great selection from when they start and left the same type of burger as every other fast food chain. The only thing that's good is the cross frys.
It tasted like cheap fast food but holy hell was it slow. Took forever, got our orders wrong / delayed, etc. Also one of the workers handled cash then went to pack food without changing gloves / washing hands, which is bad enough without a pandemic.
tuesday, 1/18/22... been waiting over 40 minutes for "the oven to heat up" dropped 4 stars for that. genuinely friendly staff slight wait as they make your food, nothing extreme fresh orders, never gotten anything disappointing pricey, but delicious & they very much do take ebt
This is by far the worst Carl's Jr I ever been to in my life they customer service sucks. They gave me such a hard time to pick up my own doordash order which I thought was very ridiculous because I am not a Dasher
Asked for fresh creamer...they said no! That the tiny bit in the corner had to be used first😳... To let me not have fresh creamer after paying 2.61 for a small coffee is unheard of! Also had to wait until cashier finished eating to get service... Its 11am and creamer was put out at 11pm last night
Super slow here... DESPITE NO DRIVE THRU! You're better off going to San Francisco how slow they are... Skeleton crew needs to replaced by AI... Its that bad. Just close this place.
Went for the Impossible Burger. Tasted so bad I couldn't finish it. Expensive trash. Maybe their regular burgers are better but since I don't eat them, can't speak on that. Most fast food isn't good or good for anyone. Not food either.
Outrageous prices in a ghetto setting. I ordered the most basic burger small combination, the Famous Star--$10.39 incl. tax. Other items are well up into double digits. I don't think all Carl's Jr. locations are so high, though the chain has much less in the way of a "value menu" than competitors. Takeout only. The dining room remains closed--cordoned off with decorative police tape--for reasons known only to management. The bathrooms are barricaded. No drive-through. A sign reminding everyone of the rules, like no more than 10 minutes in the (closed) bathroom, no parking except when patronizing. This is a great neighborhood to meet tweakers or worse. The famous MacArthur Blvd. row of by-the-week motels is right around the corner. The food is the usual Carl's Jr. fare, so you can form your own opinion. I will say that the fries are among the best in the business--but they won't taste as good cold when you have to take them home before eating. The owners are plainly just biding their time until they can tear the place down for another new condo tower for the millionaires that inexplicably line up to move into these sketchy neighborhoods. That's Oakland for you!
I ate here two days ago and haven't passed a solid bowel movement since then. I noticed that my burger was very wet. not thinking anything of it I finished my meal, took a nap, then woke up with the biggest stomach ache i ever had as an adult. I would just be cautious when ordering anything from here.
Go see for yourself though, don't just take my word or experience. Peace 🙏🏾
I wanted to drop by again this morning and get some more breakfast burritos but I can’t get by yesterday morning I stop by to pick up and guy making my burrito look up I don’t want make it race thing but he look Hispanic I’m Asian I noticed it pretty small from my last burrito and sure enough this guy didn’t put barely any bacon and sausage I don’t know what wrong him that morning 1-2-26 I didn’t want just egg n cheese burrito I hope management have a talk with him make every burrito the same and I ever stop by the location again I will for sure check portions before leaving and I’m taking my humble self to write this and will go elsewhere,
