Awesome food and service. The beef is super tender, and the plantains are to die for. Good variety of food. Outside seating area is great. Has parking lot as well
The lomo saltado is INSANELY delicious. The meat is fork tender and the sauce is the most flavorful I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend.
OMG this place is amazing Peruvian food. THE BEST so far in LA area. I have tried several since moving here and found the gem. Nice outdoor dining. Our new to-go Peruvian spot.
Just 2 things you have to remember: CHICKEN & YUCCA FRIES This spot has its own parking lot so it's pretty convenient. It has a cute indoor and outdoor area where you can eat but not a lot of tables. I usually take it to-go. First off, the service is GREAT. They always have the food ready with abundant sauces ready to go. The staff is always smiling and happy to greet customers and just laugh with them. Next, the food: the chicken is very well seasoned and sometimes it can be a little on the salty side but nothing a little of their seasoned rice can't fix 😍 you can order combos with chicken and sides or just order the whole chicken by itself. The green sauce they give has a great kick to it but goes so well with the chicken. The rice definitely has a subtle but delicious flavor, which i love. It's almost a buttery kind of hint so why wouldn't I love it. Moving onto the sides!! Honestly I've only tried their yucca fries and.... I will always only get the yucca fries. They have to be eating right away to get the full experience of crispness on the outside and soft chewiness on the inside. Just pure deliciousness. Definitely give this spot a try. It'll be worth it.
The food and service were both AMAZING!The vibe was not warm and inviting. They could have had a 1/2 more tables in the space. The lack of ambiance was the only true negative.
Incredible food! I discovered Peruvian food for myself there. I don’t really experiment much with food, and don’t really try new cuisines, but trying this place was a victory. Great food, great atmosphere and service, and a part of the local community. Highly recommend this place.
I just went to another peruvian pollo spot in k-town b/c I was in the area, I was so disappointed. El Dorado has the best chicken, fries, salad and everything else. Next time I will just come back home and get it from here. Plus the service and outside patio area is great.
By far one of the best chicken places in Southern California... that I've had at least. Cooked to order over wood and the sides are all fresh. The service is great and fast even when it's busy.
The food was so delicious. My wife had a shrimp dish with rice and fries that she totally loved. I had 1/2 chicken with yucca and Peruvian beans. The meat had the right amount of smoky flavor and very tender. I highly recommend checking this place out for yourself.
I just returned from a trip to Peru, so I came here to relive some memories of Peru. I ordered the Taralin de Pollo and added Aji Verde. The sauce was delicious, and the noodles were very flavorful. Also had Chicha for drink. The service was excellent, and I’ll definitely visit again.
I have yet to have a bad meal here. I wish it was located in Burbank. We have nothing that even comes close. Just try it so you can make your own decision . You can thank me later. Charlie
Good lomo. Fries are fat fries. Great service. Helped me with a mistake I made in my order and saved me a few bucks to boot.
Love the Lomo saltado and the chicken. Very chill and comfortable vibe. The fried rice is on the saltier side but if you like a flavourful dish to go with your drinks, this place is for you.
Steak salad, Chicken combo, absolutely delicious 😋
From the moment you step through the door, the warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for a memorable meal. The rustic decor, adorned with Peruvian cultural accents, creates an atmosphere that is both cozy and charming. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – their Pollos a la Brasa. El Dorado has mastered the art of rotisserie chicken, delivering a dish that is succulent, flavorful, and downright addictive. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, with a tantalizing blend of Peruvian spices that dance on your palate with every bite. The skin is crispy, providing a delightful contrast to the juicy and tender meat inside. It's no exaggeration to say that El Dorado's Pollos a la Brasa is the best I've ever had. But the excellence doesn't stop there. The menu boasts a variety of Peruvian classics, each executed with precision and care. Whether you opt for the Lomo Saltado, Ceviche, or Aji de Gallina, you can expect a burst of authentic flavors that transport you straight to the streets of Lima. The service at El Dorado is another highlight. The staff is friendly, attentive, and well-versed in the menu, offering recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. It's evident that the team takes pride in delivering a top-notch dining experience. While the portions are generous, the prices at El Dorado are surprisingly reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality of food and service provided. In conclusion, El Dorado Pollos a la Brasa is a Peruvian culinary haven that deserves every bit of acclaim it receives. Whether you're a Peruvian food aficionado or a first-timer, this restaurant is a must-visit. Prepare yourself for a gastronomic journey that will leave you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal.
Great service! Everyone is friendly and courteous. The owner went the extra mile in taking care of the customers. He gave my son and me a couple of free drinks while waiting for our order. Our order took longer due to many orders and we should have ordered by phone in advanced. The food is excellent.
This place has delicious food. A very small and concise menu where they excel at consistency and quality. The chicken is incredible, their white pinto beans are crave-worthy, the Inca kola is delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It may not look like much from the outside, but this place is a must. You won't be disappointed.
This place here is amazing comfort food made perfect, but do not try to immulate the same thing, just buy it from El Dorado Pollos. Listen to this, if you want flavored rotisserie chicken that is moist, flavorful and fall off the bone then please stop reading this and put an order in for a half or whole chicken with plantains and french fries or salad with extra sauces. It is very hard to outright blow my mind away, because people cut to many corners that the masses do not mind, but eating some of the best meals prepared from scratch nothing gets by me. This restaurant makes it seem so easy to make just a few dishes and have them flying out the door Everything is made with Love, from the simple decor inside and out. The spices they use. It reminds me of going to the families house to eat in the country with the town folk. You read what o recommended, I promise you will have a new restaurant added to your list. I almost forgot, you can dine in or call in a phone order to go. Enjoy!!
One of my favorite Peruvian restaurant to go to. It is definitely on my top 3 overall and my number 1 in rotisserie chicken. Hands down the best I have tried. The lomo saltado is also really good.
We LOVE this family owned restaurant! My sister and i come to El Dorado at least twice a month. We alway sit on the patio with our dogs. The roasted chicken is awesome. I know the lomo saltado is the most popular dish but i order the aguadito soup every time. With a side of chicken breast. The patio is dog friendly!!
Amazing food and even better service. I ordered the Tofu Saltado and they accidentally brought mushroom saltado. They immediately said they’d remake the correct dish and give me a refund. I told them not to worry about it and I was more than happy to have the mushroom. A few days later, I noticed they refunded me even though I told them not to. Amazing customer service and people who care. On top of that, the food was incredible. We will be back!
The food was amazing, great Peruvian food, excellent service. Only draw back is the wait time. If you are doing pick up I recommend ordering online. The wait time is long due to a small team of glorious cooks. Excellent dessert and amazing everything. Worth the wait. Excellent staff.
First time eating here, August 24, 2024. The restaurant was a little small but lots of parking. They even have a patio dining. The menu was nice. The food was good. We ordered the chicken with rice and beans. The beans was ok for me. Not really fond of beans. And yuca with yellow sauce, that was good. Rest room was clean. I will definitely come back again and order something else. I highly recommend this place. Giving it a thumbs up.
One of my favorite restaurants and we catered from them for events twice. Their rotisserie chicken is always a hit, and the staff are so accommodating and make it easier to cater from them. The food is affordable yet you still get quality, well-prepared food to please a crowd. Can’t ask for more! We look forward to catering from them again.
Great Peruvian food, friendly staff plenty of tables , great atmosphere, sparkling clean bathrooms. If you like wood fire roasted chicken, with a garlic marinate, this is the place for you, it is delicious tender and mixes well with the rice salad or fries (all side orders). The lomo saltado has a sauce that gives it a juicy garlicky soy saucy flavor, I can’t explain it well, you need to try it, add shrimp and I’m in heaven
Great local place for Peruvian food. The rotisserie chicken is so tasty, but the other traditional dishes really shine! I love the limo saltando and the fried yucca. The place is clean, and there’s a small outdoor seating area as well.
Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had. Yuca fries were also excellent. Ceviche was light and fresh, but not exceptional.
My friends and I tried this spot for the first time 2 days ago. First thing I'm always looking out for is cleanliness which was on point. Very friendly, helpful staff answering all our questions. The owner Jonah very nice guy came over and chit chatted with us and had us try a few samples of their delicious juices. Food: Excellent, tried their chicken fried rice (best I've ever had) you could just taste the wood flavor in the chicken. Pollo Saltado was also delicious!!! Definitely recommend them, will be back for sure. Great ambience as well. Keep up the great service and delicious dishes 😋👍🏼
Outdoor seating is nice and the service is always speedy and kind. The rotisserie chicken combo is incredible. Definitely a place I love to regularly visit.
El Dorado Pollos a la Brasa is a culinary gem that exceeded all our expectations. The flavors are simply amazing, making it clear that this restaurant offers excellent cuisine. We ordered the lomo saltado and a half chicken, both of which were incredibly delicious and left us craving more. The vibe of the restaurant is great, with a spacious and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The customer service was top-notch, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal. We will definitely return again and again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Peruvian food.
This place was awesome. The chicken was fall of the bone tender and so flavorful. I loved the yucca fries and spicy ceviche. The beans were also so delicious. We got some alfajores which melted in your mouth. Would definitely come again if we lived in this area!
Amazing food with flavors unlike anything else I have had in Los Angeles. Fresh ingredients. Roomy, spacious restaurant.
This place is a hidden gem in Pasadena. I came for the lomo saltado dish and i can say i will come back again for this delicious dish. The staff are friendly and you get your food quickly. They have different selection of drinks to include peruvian sodas. They have enough parking too! Bomb food!!!
Super delicious chicken! Great flavor and the side sauces were a nice compliment. The plantains were super as well. Kind and friendly service.
I always visit El Dorado to enjoy Combination Chaufa of Rib eye Shredded Pollo a la brass and shrimps. Served with lemon wedges and wash it all down with a nice ice cold Fanta. I had the to go version today because I was in motion. I have also enjoyed the dine in version. It is served very beautifully and it is very appealing in visually as it is smelling it. Please come here to enjoy this dish. Super tasty.
I was introduced to this restaurant by my sister. Great job Sister! I always get a Half Chicken Dinner with plantains and salad or fries and plantains with salad. This is a flavor you will crave for days after. Make sure you get the Sauces especially the pinkish yellow with the green sauce too. Go try and tip me later. 😇😇
Fast, friendly, delicious. Had the Lomo soltado and it was delicious. (If you are sensitive to salt, it might be a bit salty for your taste, but I loved it.) Their rotisserie chicken was tender, juicy and well-spiced. It's a little bigger than a hole in the wall, but it is nice that they have outdoor seating too.
This place is very good! My wife and I always enjoy it. I usually order the Lomo Saltado with chicken and extra juice. It comes with rice and French fries as well. The green chile they have compliments the food so well. I highly recommend this place. The service is always great too.
Really really good seasoning on that roasted chicken very impressive other places I’ve tried chicken is usually dry and no flavor at all but this place was incredibly good! I would recommend it highly! The only down side it was a little pricey for a whole chicken and two sides almost 40. Bon appetite!
Great roast chicken and lomo saltado. The chicken has crispy skin, well seasoned and still juicy. Loved the aji verde and aji criollo with it. The lomo saltado was great. The beef is good but the fries were the best part, so, so good in that sauce. As always, fried plantains were great too. The vibe outside is nice with the lights. Just be ready to wait a little time for your chicken. Reasonably large parking lot and friendly service.
El Dorado Pollo la Brasa is hands down next-level Peruvian cuisine! The lomo saltado here is absolutely freaking amazing; easily the best I’ve had in all of California. And trust me, I would know, I’m Peruvian myself, and this dish hits all the right notes: juicy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food came out quickly, and the staff was super friendly; which, let’s be honest, isn’t always the case at Peruvian spots. El Dorado truly stands out for both its authentic flavor and welcoming energy. If you want real Peruvian comfort food done right, this is the spot. 🇵🇪🔥
This is the best rotisserie chicken you will ever eat! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Sauces are good too, and sides. Service was great they were all friendly. It was our first time and we got the game day combo. We will definitely be back. The beers were happy hour all day on Sunday!
We walked here from the Rose Bowl area. A little wet and chilly today! This place is excellent. We were having trouble deciding on our plans- Gustavo helped us and went out of his way to serve us a delicious lunch. The chicharron bowls and lomo saltado were fantastic. The chicken fried rice as a side and the plantains to finish. Yum. They’ve been here for 9 years - we wish them all success for years to come! Happy New Year. Come here, you won’t regret it.
Tried this place and had the half chicken combo. Great customer service from beginning to end. Eating area outside and inside with a couple of tvs is set up perfect. Free small water bottles and coffee, my new favorite place in this area! Highly recommend! Chicken: 10 / 10 Beans: 10 / 10 Fries: 10 / 10 Dipping sauces: 10 / 10 Atmosphere: 10 / 10 Service: 10 / 10
Exceeded expectations in every way. The food is very seasoned beautifully, not too heavy, and clearly fresh. The service is very warm and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Prices are reasonable. There is ample parking space. I will absolutely return and try other items on the menu.
So this wasnt my first time trying Peruvian food, and my girlfriend and I were super excited that we got recommended this place as a “must try”. Once we got there we got greeted and welcomed from the staff and everyone seemed happy to be there. Food wise: the food was AMAZING. I HIGHLY recommend the food. The ceviche was crazy, the QUALITY was definitely noticeable and they stuffed it with shrimp. The pollo was really juicy and super flavorful. Just imaging your momma or poppa making this type quality. The sauces… sheesh. I was mind blown to learn that they are all literally hand made every morning by the owners. You dont find that anywhere else. The salad and dressing was so good. Super fresh. And last but not least. The Lomo Saltado. This deserves a whole review on its own. This mixed with the green sauce is top foods in Pasadena easily. Highly highly recommend it. But, for the absolute best trio, get the ceviche, pollo, and lomo all together. The drinks were really good as well and super fresh. Coming to this restaurant will definitely be that one choice you make that you will be glad you did. The owners are awesome and super caring as well. Lovely addition to Pasadena. Pa. Look at how fresh and perfect that avocado is 🤷🏽♂️
I recently dined at a charming Peruvian restaurant that effortlessly blended rustic charm with a clean and beautiful ambiance. The nice vibes were enhanced by the soulful Peruvian rock/pop music and excellent customer service transporting me back to my time living in Peru. The menu showcased authentic flavors, with each dish presenting a delightful journey through Peruvian culinary traditions. From the first bite to the last, it was a decent and delicious experience that I would highly recommend.
The pollo saltado was great. I'll have to come back to try the pollo a la brasa. The chicken was very tender. The aji verde sauce had a spicy kick to it. The fries, tomatoes and onions added very well to the flavor and the rice absorbed all of it..the staff was super nice and cleaned out tables when needed. Theres free coffee and water which was such a nice amenity. The outdoor patio and indoor seating was such a nice choice to pick from. We also got the shrimp ceviche which was also excellent and a very dog friendly patio area.
Been here twice now. This place dosen't disappoint Every dish is good. And the green sauce is fire 🔥
Amazing experience, very friendly staff with lots of great suggestion. Also, free coffee. Their chicken was very tasty and their meat was tender
Great food! Great service! All of their sauces but especially that green sauce is beyond delicious. My dish (not pictured) was 1/2 chicken with a side salad and yuca. Their yuca is amazing! All the food we ordered was flavorful, not oily/greasy and the customer service was unlike any other. It was my first time here but they’ve been here almost 4 years. I feel like I have 3 and a half years of food to make up for. It’s that delicious!

I order from Uber Eats, but the Quinoa salad is a 10/10. If you want a summer salad, light, filling and healthy.

I took my fiance and her family for lunch here to celebrate her birthday because we wanted Peruvian and I saw this was considered one of the best spots. The food was great. Everyone asked for the mini portion because they didn't think they'd be able to finish a whole plate. I got a normal order for everyone and it was so good, no one took left overs home. The service was great and everyone was friendly. We will definitely be going back.
Very nice restaurant the chicken was much juicy and flavorful, small portions but good quality. Service is very attentive staff. Not a fan of self order or touching screens before eating. But the flavors were on point.
Great Customer service. The food is Amazing! The Chicken was good. The Lomo Saltado, Shrimp cocktail keeps me going back for more. Give it a shot. I highly recommend it.
The chicken and the sauces are wonderful. I'm a huge fan of the spicy green one. The ceviche is the BEST I've ever had. I'm definitely recommending you try it. Salad and plantains are also yummy.
This place was amazing! The food was bomb! We got chicken, steak, shrimp and it was all fresh! The cookies were bomb as well! It’s hard to find places like this. Protect at all costs! Service was also outstanding. They gave us everything we needed to go! I didn’t have to ask for extra sauce!

Plenty of parking! Food is flavorful and worth every penny. Plenty of TVs to catch the latest in sports while dining in or waiting for a to-go order. Still discovering their menu. But so far my favorite is the Pollo bowl.
Fast and delicious. The fire roasting chamber in the restaurant is amazingly beautiful. I had the quarter chicken with a side salad and soup. It was delicious. Just as good as other Peruvian restaurants I've been to, but fresher. It will be a usual lunch spot in my neighborhood for me.
Update: I called and they were kind, immediately acknowledging the misstep and offered a hefty plate with sides to make up for it. This time, with the half chicken, it was truly good, tender and tasty as the other reviews have stated. The rice and beans were good, the beans seasoned well. I would recommend you don’t order wings, especially later in the day, as they will have gone dry in the rotisserie. First review: Fell below expectations, and it sucks bc I was excited to try this spot, plus we spent good money. Peruvian pasta with shrimp was plain, I mean extremely plain spaghetti with like two small pieces of onions and the equivalent of three cherry tomatoes. The way the menu describes it, you would think they’d put real effort into this pasta, but no. Thankfully, the shrimp were well cooked and tasty. Our plate of wings was so dry and overcooked that I took most of it home to our dog. The sauces were great.
My friends and I had lunch this afternoon for the first time at his establishment. The food was delicious. We recommend the different saltado dishes as well as the tallarin Verde con pollo. The atmosphere was great. We enjoyed the outdoor patio as seating was comfortable bench style with shade covers plus a large screen TV. The music was good yet it was not to loud. The establishment has its own parking. I'll definitely come back to try the different dishes.
This is the second time I came to this place for lomo saltado. There is a small parking lot, and street parking is also available. Staff was friendly, and kind. They offer customers with free bottle water and hot coffee. The decoration was very clean and minimal. There are a few tables indoor and some tables in the patio. The food was freshly made, so we waited for a while. They offered 3 dipping sauce. I remember the yellow one is my favorite. The pink and green ones were too spicy to me. The meat was very tender, and not overcooked. The dipping sauce and the meat were the perfect combination. I also dipped the fries with the dipping sauce. This is how much I love it. Will come back for more lomo saltado.
Solid 4.5 star place for Peruvian. A little salty but everything was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken which was the star of the meal. Staff was also super friendly.

Chicken is delicious. I really love the wood fire taste. There green salsa makes a great combo with the chicken. My problem with this place is that it's WAY overpriced. For half a chicken here I can get a full chicken with sides at Pollo Unico on Lake. I would be a repeat customer but not with there existing prices. I wish this place the best.
Grade B- (80): Food was sub par, their service is good and they try hard but the flavors and textures are a bit lacking. Salchipapa (Fries were good but hot dog pretty bad maybe overcooked!) The Lomo Saltado, meat was not good, it was very tough, just didn't work for me. The Ceviche was excellent, loved it. The fried Chicken that we waited 30 minutes for was a bit disappointing, not a fan. Anyway, it was ok but will not be going back anytime soon.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. I wanted to try something new so why not. I ordered the Lomo Saltado with steak and shrimp. The shrimp was good, the steak was so so, a little too dry for me. The onions and tomatoes were good. It also came on a bed of potatoes which is where the problem started for my wife and I. This meal is 75% potatoes. They loaded up on the potatoes and gave you just a little of what I already mentioned. If the potatoes werent enough, it comes with rice as well. They are filling you up with cheap carbs and charging me $42 for two of these meals. I'm glad I tried it but I'll never go back.
Heard good things about this from a friend and went by to get some take out. To start with the good: seasoning of the pollo a la brasa was very good, and a good crisp to the skin. We also ordered the yucca fries and arroz chaufa lomo, and both were excellent. Pleasantly crunchy yucca fries and the arroz chaufa had a good ratio of rice, egg, and meat. The bad: 6 of the 16 pieces of chicken we ordered (2 whole chickens) were unhealthily pink, and blood still in the joints. We had to stop eating it and put it in the oven for another 20 minutes to ensure it was fully cooked through. I hope this is a one time occurrence and we get fully cooked chicken next time. Service was pleasant as all the employees were friendly, but the food quality has to be #1
In my opinion Chicken looked old and tasted pretty bad. It was gross. The ceviche was good. I give it a 5 out of 10. The papa huancahina was tasteless and cold. I will not go back. It's too bad because it's nearby. I really don't understand how it got a great review. Iam very disappointed by the lack of care in the food preparation. 😕
I used to love their lomo saltado here but today..... I got my usual lomo saltado and the quality has gone down. The meat was dried and burnt on the outside, there was no flavor to the dish anymore, it's as if they watered down the sauce. The rice was under cooked because it tasted stale or it was just old. The chica tasted watered down as well.
Last time I visited this place I always have to deal with salty saltados. And $18. A plate and no napkins. They make it so salty I’ve tried better elsewhere, I went to dine in and they seem upset because I went straight to sit at table. But I hate there little dirty window. And I was at lunch . Of course they don’t care. I had ordered on the phone an said I was going to eat there. One of the servers there brought my food to the table didn’t offer nothing to drink no water and seem angry at me. My friend didn’t eat she said they are so rude. I Had hot sauce And had nothing to drink. thought this is bad service. I felt not welcomed. I’ll never take anyone there again they have no customer service and the saltado is too salty . I guess there not an organize restaurant I’m sure there’s better Peruvian food elsewhere.
I can't believe this! I drove for half an hour, all excited to enjoy some Pollo a la brasa, only to be completely turned away! They just refused to serve us - no chicken dinner, no lomo saltado, no fried rice, nothing for my family to eat. And the nerve of it, while others were sitting there, waiting for their food, we were just flat out denied service! Unbelievable!
I can pretty much resonate with a 2-star reviewer here called ToomanyJ’s or something. Yes, the green avocado sauce is heavy lifting. Without it everything is bland. His description of the food is totally right even tho we ordered differently. The entree plate, is nothing special but very small portion on protein. The steak is plain and blandish very poorly made. However this is not the reason I gave it 1-star, if the food is blandish but their portion is big it’s still acceptable but this, a thin piece of steak with no flavor except salt and pepper, the rest of the plate is just carbs, rice and fried potatoes. I wonder what’s the leverage point of such dish ? If there anything that can stand out that would attract me to come back ? Everything is cheap and doesn’t require much effort and skills. It’s like some food you prepare for yourself at home. If nothing stands out then the whole dish is a failure
Poor costumer service. She just take my order and didn’t even asked me if it was for dine in or take out. I wanted to eat there and she was no it’s to take out I can’t change it.
TLDR: felt ripped off with small portion sizes. Stay away! Been all over USA been to so many restaurants and this is my review based on comparing it with many other restaurants I have been to Ordered a steak and chicken dish. It was mostly cheap carbs (soggy chips and mediocre noodles) and few pieces of meat. There are better places out there. Never visiting this restaurant again.
