Excelente!!!

We spent a week at the Grand Hyatt. The restaurant La Cocina was our favorite inside of the resort. Teresita was our waitress almost every time there. She is amazing! She went above and beyond many times. She was always happy and made each of our meals great! (Try and sit with her always) We will be back!

Went here for our first night at the Grand Hyatt Resort. Food was amazing and service was great. Price is a bit strep but definitely worth it.

One of the most unique experiences I can ever ask for. Honestly thank you Teresita, José Miguel, & Walter for taking care of us like a family! We will be coming again soon!

Increíble vista 😍. Ya conocía el hotel pero nunca había ido a desayunar y la verdad es que me encantó. La vista es lo más bonito que tienen y la comida está súper bien junto con la atención. Sí creo que es poquito caro pero está dentro del hotel Grand Hyatt. Dos personas con lo que se ve en las imágenes y video fueron $1,000 mxn aproximadamente. Creo que vale la pena venir para ocasiones especiales 🙌🏻

¡Me encanta! Y la vista es preciosa, de verdad que el servicio ni se diga, les recomiendo mucho el buffet y si tienen oportunidad de la carta, tómenlo.

Es un lugar muy agradable, con una visita hermosa a la playa y al mar, los alimentos son muy buenos y el servicio de meseros de cenas es excelente, muy respetuoso todo el personal.

Bravo, excelente sazón en el restaurante"La cocina", las bebidas con temática y sabores de varias costas del mundo son exquisitas, la atención relajada, amena y dinámica, ambiente relajante e innovador, con una vista al mar y a la isla de Cozumel, que te hace pensar regresar más de una vez!!!!

Un buffet muy completo. Tienen cazuelitas con chilaquiles, salmón y pan de día muy bueno. La vibra es magnífica y el hotel en general es muy bello. Una visita que se debe hacer te quedes en hyatt o no. Montserrat la hostess siempre super amable y atenta.

The breakfast is impeccable, a lot of different types of food, custom omelets and also exotic mexican food. The drinks were also very good and the food for lunch is very tasty. Has a great view of the ocean and everyone is very friendly.

Great food, location, and service. Brunch is reasonably priced and includes a self serve buffet and menu that allows you to purchase as many items as you like from lattes to iced coffee, fresh juices, French toast, waffles, pancakes, local dishes, a variety of dishes with eggs and meat.

I enjoyed the breakfast and the ambiance while spending the morning at the pool afterward. Great view right next to the ocean. I really like their buffet especially for Christmas and New Years, a delicious and wide variety of food and desserts to choose from.

This restaurant is inside the Hyatt. We came for lunch and the atmosphere is very nice. I had fish ceviche that was very good as they added pieces of pork belly. Overall all the food was good and priced reasonably.

As expected from any restaurants in a resort, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Being basically directly on the beach side on a cool windy night was the perfect way to cap off our trip to Playa del Carmen. Service could have been a bit better as we were straight up forgotten when it came to get the check but truly not a big deal considering what a wonderful night it was and truly how great the food was. We got the crispy pork belly (Castacan) and Kibi with the Mexico City tacos (beef tongue tacos). The crispy pork belly came as a nice Spanish croquette which surprised us a bit but were absolutely floored with how it tasted. Light, crispy, and fluffy on the inside with a wonderful avocado black bean sauce compliment. The same could be said about the Kibi as well. Not quite sure what to expect but was floored with how light and crispy it was as well. The tacos were perfectly acceptable but could have used some acidity to help balance the flavor but otherwise great. We weren't too hungry so we got a light meal but were impressed nonetheless.

Good food with nice view! Staffs were sweet and friendly. In the evening you can’t see the view because there’s no light and little bit chilly. Highly recommend especially day time!

Es un restaurante de playa upscale (al nivel de Hotel Premium), ciertamente el menú es bastante básico, aunque tiene buenas opciones para gustos variados. Por otro lado la vista es espectacular, pero si deberían cuidar como manejan los servicios de playa, porque el olor a combustible que viene de la playa es muy fuerte.

El Hotel hermoso vista espectacular, la comida regular solo pedimos 2 ordenes de quesadillas con Pollo venían 3 X sin chiste el costo es altísimo.. para 3 quesadillas. Siquiera el plato estuviera decorado o algo que se viera con más cuidado .. en fin .. la cuenta fue al rededor de 1480 pesos CARISIMO pongan atención en esos detalles uno los paga pero deja un sentido de me vieron la cara ..

So expensive for a breakfast but it was so good we ate there multiple times during our stay. Try the skillet eggs and a mimosa and you won’t be disappointed!! Amazing ocean views and service as well.

We went here on the all-inclusive plan. The food here really is great, and the staff are all friendly. Half of the seating is outside with beautiful views of the ocean. Breakfast is a buffet, and every other meal is off a menu. We loved almost everything we got. My only recommendation is to avoid Mexico Night on Fridays. The menu is severely pared down, and the options remaining don't scream "Mexico" more than any other night (I'm not sure what's Mexican about a grilled steak, which is only available at this time).

The food was good. The menu is not that big but its ok. You can choose burger, mexican food or meat. The best in this restaurant is the rose wine " La. Cetto Zinfandel", just fantastic!

Beautiful view but average food

Restaurant was completely empty at 6:30 p.m. for dinner. The guacamole was similar to bad store bought guacamole. New York steak was rubbery and looked like a much lower cut. Shrimp tacos were very bland. Stale chips. And very overpriced to top it off.

Bad service. Small portions, expensive, and not that good. There’s such good restaurants in Playa, I’d avoid this place.

Updated as of 01/24/25 We came back to eat here due to how much we loved it last year unfortunately they changed they whole menu, and not for the best . Now its very sea food oriented and it wasnt good. Lacks a lot of flavor. Service went down hill as well our server was gone and didnt check up on us once we had to go up to him to even get our check. After we ate we were still hungry so we decided to leave and get tacos near by such a disappointment We ate here everyday and the food was amazing , we pretty much tried a lot of the menu. My favorite were the beef tongue tacos . Best ones i’ve had ! The meat was so soft and tender . The salmon tacos were also delicious , big portion so 2 tacos will fill you up quick The pastor octopus had good flavor , but im not a big octopus fan so i wouldnt get it again The steak tacos were really good as well the meat was flavorful and tender

We’re staying at the Hyatt and came here for dinner after flying in. Unfortunately pretty much everything was a disappointment and with ssssssoooo many delicious restaurants within walking distance it was definitely a mistake coming here. We started with the guacamole and it was absolutely lacking flavor (salt and lime). They kept pushing the sushi dishes which I thought was really odd since I thought this was a Mexican restaurant. The prices are also ridiculous for the quality and even if the food was decent, the prices are way out of line (which is to be expected at a hotel restaurant). We’re here for the rest of the week and we absolutely wouldn’t return.

Food was mediocre and super expensive. the service was slow just getting drinks took forever. I would go outside to eat. The pizza tasted like gas station pizza and the Caesar salad was bland.

If it weren't for the fact that we'd taken the all inclusive at the hotel, I would have walked out without paying. We had the glazed pork chop, and it was so overcooked and dry it was almost inedible. However, the truffle parmesan fries were pretty good. The service here is shocking.. so slow, and have heard other people complain as we are eating for the same reason. The view is nice, but the equivalent of $130 for two very burned pork chops and some chips, with a 3 drinks, is AWFUL!

Service horrible. It’s okay to wait 30 min for bread (35 pesos each)

El desayuno buffet normal. Comida de alberca - sandwiches , snacks pero a precios estratosféricos. Desayuno 700 pesos por persona. Nada recomendable. Salgan del hotel que a la vuelta hay cientos de lugares para comer mejor y más barato. No lo recomiendo.

Do not believe the 5 stars reviews. It’s very expensive restaurant (US prices) for poor quality food. I ordered a $20 burger and I was expecting a 100% beef patty at this price! But no it was a cheap hamburger style patty disgusting and a few fries (frozen)! A disgrace for the price! Service is bad with multiple errors on a table of 4!!

Service was absolutely horrible; we were ignored all evening. Never even offered the basic, water but observed others receiving water without asking. Our wait time for our food was unacceptable and did not come all together; wrong food came. Spoke with manager who agreed the service was unacceptable due to the other hotel restaurant being closed but offered no apology, solution or any form compensation. I've/ we've been Hyatt members for years and have never experienced such horrible service at any Hyatt or Hyatt Resort. I will never recommend this location for dining; this location has got to do better. Respectfully. Kimberly & Kenneth Osborne
