Great experience over all specially the fried chicken since I remember as a child it was my favorite and one of the few places I would actually eat so my wonderful beutiul parents used to take me there quite often for my own good... now I go all by myself and sometimes mom treats but only sometimes I miss the old days when it was allways lol.

I have never been more grateful to be in a KFC restaurant, than today when I was properly greeted by Mr. Barney at this location. He is very respectful, makes sure to repeat the order to get it right and even went farther to let me know of specials to save some money in the next visit. Wow what a great service that was.

The older gentleman named Barney that works the registers is absolutely wonderful. He always ensures that your order is done correctly and the food seems to always be better prepared when he is working. I wish there were more employees like him in the food service industry.

I am currently homeless and was there years ago. Two ladies bought me Thanksgiving dinner and offered me twenty dollars. When I have the dough I stop in for a two piece meal. Great value. Nice employees

Wow ...what a difference a day makes!! I was at this KFC last week and was helped by a girl with glasses and frankly, I felt like she just wanted to ring my order in the most generic way possible and move on. I did request two substitutions of which she only provided one (on purpose?) and so today I returned sheepishly, not even sure I could ask for anything different than what comes with the combo, but the girl wasn't there and instead was helped by a very nice Asian young man and I felt like I was a VIP !!!! He was courteous, made sure he had what I requested before he rang it, offered butter for my bisquet and even reminded me to grab napkins for my to go order, which last week I didn't think of grabbing any and so overall the experience went from ok (last week) to outstanding this week! Undoubtedly that the way we are made to FEEL makes all the difference in the world!!!

Nice to see that the crew that is here now runs a good fast food place. Not always the case at other locations. It was near closing so I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for the pot pies. It was worth the wait because the crust was perfection and the inside was creamy and veggies fully cooked.

I like to eat in at KFC. The service is better and I think the quality of the food is better too. Today we tried pot pies. They're bigger than I thought they'd be and very tasty. Nice flakey crust over real chicken with peas and carrots. A little salty, but pot pies usually are.

We went thru the drive-thru and it was simple and quick. We got the 8 piece Family meal with 2 large sides, biscuits and gravy for only 20 bucks plus tax. The line went smoothly and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes, and it was at dinnertime too! We enjoyed our meal with my Son and his friend and watched a movie. Everyone was happy and full, it doesn't always go that smooth in the Drive-thru at KFC but it Did and it makes us all happy Campers.

It's a great place to sit and review your long, busy day and plan for tomorrow, all while eating the world's best chicken with the world's best French fries. This location was kind of small and a little cramped, but I liked the experience overall. :)

Last minute pick a place to eat and it was this one. Well i was lucky. I ordered and got my order and this one lady was saying her order should not be taking so long. She was asking for her order and a girl that works there asked what did you order and she will work on it for her. The lady was still waiting when i left and i was there for almost 15 minutes

Service was quick for lunch time. I think they do more drive thru service than sit down . Their dining room isn't very large. The facility was clean and the employees were friendly and professional.

Place is old and started to show its age compared to other KFC I've visited the owner should invest more in renovating the place it's small for the amount of customers it receives , staff does its best to handle a lot of orders but 3 people on front and one cook can do so much, food is good really enjoyed the chicken although wished there where spicy chicken itself not just wings or the new zinger sandwich, good service overall when their not overwhelmed.

Simple KFC. You know what it is. This one has a drive through which is quite frankly, awesome. Parking in North Park is a pain and I'm glad to see that KFC has, at least so far, survived North Park's war on drive through restaurants. Sometimes you just don't want to get out of your car for your $5 chicken strip fill up meal.

Went through drive thru with my boyfriend right now. Lady working didn’t offer nor give a receipt in my bag. I paid for two famous bowls, a large side of Mac and two biscuits. There are no biscuits with my order. Y’all snaky…where’s my money lol

This KFC drive thru is fine . Expect to wait a while. But the dine in service sucks . I worked across the street and dined in a few times a week. They are super slow and focus almost exclusively on the drive thru. You are lucky to get one of the teenagers to even acknowledge you with a ' hello be with you soon ' .

Love KFC! The only problem with this location is, The chicken is either good or it’s bad! No In between! + In the afternoon the chicken is fresh and hot! - In the evening the chicken is lukewarm & in some cases, the skin was chewy like “RUBBER and UNDERCOOKED!!!” “The Colonel” would not stand for this.....

Food was plain, nothing on the sandwich. And the frys looked like they came out of a kids meal. There were 7 frys total. There was also 2 guys arguing about getting drunk and being too scared to go home. The "F" bomb was dropped a lot!!

I used to give this place 5 Stars but they've gone down hill in cleanliness and customer service. So my rating has changed from 3 to 5. I'm not really familiar with drive thru service so this is mainly based on dine-in. The dining area is cold! It's always freezing in the dining area. Customer service has gotten worse and worse. Seems like the crew doesn't even like working here anymore. Sometimes they're friendly but not all the time and try and catch them with a smiling face. The whole crew seems like they hate to work here and it rubs off and shows. The place is also messy at times, not all the time but sometimes. If guests leave the tables with a mess they should clean it up right away. The look of the place should be a priority. The food is always served hot, not so sure about fresh. You're getting what you pay for here. Too bad the value doesn't go up with service and comfort.

I tried the new chicken and waffles. The chicken was good but the waffles were not edible. Very stale. They had not packed any of my utensils and condiments. No syrup. No butter. My chocolate cake was missing as well. I had to make a trip back. Worker was pleasant.

I tried their new plant based "chicken nuggets". They were ok. Pricey, yes. Over $6 for 6 small nuggets. Place was very clean as I went inside. Nice decor. Friendly. But too pricey at just over $1 per nugget. I won't return unless price goes down or quantity goes up.

Took them 20 minutes to take my order last time I went in. The guy was shaking and asked me three times if I wanted my order "here or to-go ". Was obviously not trained, as he was also single-handedly putting the customers orders together one at a time.. Until my order... Which was not communicated to the girl that had just clocked in and was helping him even though I was standing right in front of them. Manager needs to figure it out.

I personally have been boycotting KFC for the past ten years with the occasional try because of different friend's choices to dine here. Visits have always enforced why I have been avoiding what used to be a favorite brand of mine (boycott reasons: increasing prices while quality and portion size decreased). This forced visit was the first exception. The original recipe pieces were fresh and tasty and were reminiscent of what I enjoyed in the past. My boycott will continue because the price for the meal is too steep for what you get. I did give brief consideration of dropping my personal boycott. I also give kudos to the lovely clerk who interacted with us in the drive-thru. My rating will be the highest I have given in ten plus years!

I stopped at this KFC while walking around North Park to get a quick bite to eat. It's a smaller KFC that I almost didn't notice. It's dining area was small and didn't seem as clean as it could be. The staff was helpful and the food was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Service was slow it took about 5 minutes or so for them to take my order only saw two employees in the place and the young girl even forgot my order and had to look at my receipt to remember what I had ordered. Overall I'd give it a 3 out of 5 okay service not great but okay slower than what it should have been as two people left after having to wait for them to take their order they left instead. Really slow service there.

Went to thu the drive thru section for quick lunch ordered a 5pc box got to my work location open my box and its a 3pc food was good but just the mistake of a worker i guess

Went at 6:30pm on a Sunday. After ordering my 3-piece, and after taking my credit card at the drive-thru window, Lila informs me that they are out of Chicken Tenders, and will I mind parking 3-5 minutes to wait for them. Sunday night, dinner time, out of chicken. So I pull around, out on the street, back into the parking lot, and park. 7 minutes later, she comes out and hands me a bag saying, "Here's your meal." She didn't apologize for making me wait. She didn't thank me for waiting. Then, after I get home, I find they've got my order wrong. Instead of wedges, I've been given mashed. They never bothered to ask what sauce I wanted, so they threw one of each into the bag. So I got runny mashed potatoes, too many sauces that need throwing out, and some chicken after all that. I only went for the wedges, because the WingStop across the street from me doesn't have them. Now I'll settle for regular fries along with my chicken strips.

While there is 10 people in line waiting to place their orders those 5 people that it took to service 1 person could have got all 10 of those hungry people could have given their orders & served instead they waited in line because it took 5 people to serve 1 person !! Now I remember why I don't go to that KFC'S . What a joke & a waste of time & money

well when I first got to the store I asked the young lady behind the counter for the coach of the bathroom cuz I needed to wash my hands before eating I got this look like I was crazy! we ordered and got the food. I don't think they were actually using the Kentucky Fried Chicken

Ordered (among other items) 4 biscuits at the drive thru. 2 of the biscuits cost $1.78 and the other two cost $1.89, but they are supposed to be $0.89 each. Only received 2 of them. Called before I went back and the manager reluctantly gave me $0.10 of the $0.11 I was overcharged. He did give me the 2 missing biscuits plus 2 extra, and at least these ones were warm and fresh.

Pulled into the drive thru a little after 9:30 to be told they had no chicken at all. Just corn, mashed potatoes & pot pies. For a restaurant that’s based entirely around its chicken, that’s just sad. Guy at the speaker was nice though.

I've been here twice and both times they've given me the wrong order the second time they threw the food in the trash right in front of me 20 pieces of chicken because I asked for original and they gave me grilled. If you make a mistake give the food away to anyone don't just throw it away. I understand if that's protocol but at least wait until the customer leaves.

I haven't been to this KFC in a while, or any KFC for that matter, in a few years, but the original recipe has either changed or it is not being prepared correctly. Nothing like I remembered. I couldn't taste any spices, the chicken was extremely dry, and it was a very dark unappetizing brown color instead of golden. It in fact tasted slightly burnt and definitely overcooked. The crust was rubbery. So bad I couldn't eat it. Very disappointing. We also ordered a few Nashville chicken strips which were also over fried and pretty tasteless. The sides were as I remembered tho and the biscuits fresh, but the chicken being so bad made the experience not one I care to repeat.

These have to be the WORST sandwiches I've ever tasted. Tasted like the bread was rancid and God only knows what the chicken tasted like. One bite of each sandwich, one regular and one spicy and in the trash they went. I don't think I will ever return to KFC. The only reason for one star is because the person at the pickup window was very friendly.

Just garbage. I tried the Double Down after missing out on it over a decade ago, and I will forever remain haunted knowing I could have avoided putting this putrid manifestation of the decline of western civilization in my body. I knew it was gonna be bad but I can only blame my morbid curiosity…. It went in the trash. Also, why do you you only have Diet Pepsi as a diet drink? Yeah, I know I am destroying my body with your calorically dense food so the full sugar drinks shouldn’t matter, but have more than six options. Coke does.

Picked up an online order, it was missing several items and I could not get ahold of anyone to get a refund. Very bad experience and horrible app. Do not order from this location.

Absolutely terrible... could it be the worst restaurant in San Diego? The staff are very slow and don’t understand what to do, and the seating area is full of people who look homeless... I ate in my car in the parking lot, which by the way had such a dip bump driving into it I thought I lost my bumper!

The best worst customer service in all of San Diego goes to this kfc. I believe the heavy set Hispanic lady with dollar tree make up, no smile straight face wants to keep the food for herself. They cheated me on my fries. I drove back and she defended them before rectifying my complaint and even closed the drive through window in my face before I could get all my sentence out.

For anyone using the KFC app: "DO NOT!". App was being buggy, so I went into the store (it was empty) and explained to the (very rude) cashier. Asked if I could get the same deal, she stated "no". No big deal. She asked "What do you want then?". Ordered a 16 piece meal and she didn't even try to ask for which sides I wanted, SHE just chose them for me. I get it I should have asked, but really. I received lukewarm chicken and mash potatoes. Watery tasting gravy and very mediocre cole slaw. I do not frequent KFC and if it were not the request of a relative, I would not have gone. Stay away from KFC, but if you must steer clear of this location.

I went to this Kentucky fried Chicken and they serve me a coleslaw that had about 4 oz of liquid in it and I thought it was cereal when I took off the lid told the owner she said I'm so sorry it was the guy's first day that made that it's his first day I think she's going to bring me a new one that she brought me some milk so do I do now never go eat there again

There were 2 people up front, one working drive Thur the other making orders. 2 people were in front of me and we were just standing there, I asked u only have one cashier -- I was told she would be right over to help us. We waited 8 mins before we even ordered. I was very upset. I would not be visiting that store any time soon. 2800 block on university. 👎👎

Never will I return to this KFC. Given this place way too many chances to have management clean up this place and run it properly. Must need new manager, new district manager and if this is a corporate store, something is not right at all and I may need to rethink doing business with KFC altogether as there are plenty of other choices for chicken these day. And for less cost even.

Hands down the worst KFC I've ever been to. I've always loved KFC, even if the chicken has been subpar, the biscuits were always a staple comfort food for me, and I was really excited when I moved 2 blocks away from one! I've visited this location 4 times in the 1.5 years I've been here (it would normally be weekly, but you'll see why) - and I will detail each one: First visit: Ordered a $5 meal thing. Chicken was so dry the meat (skin off) literally crunched in my mouth, biscuit not included for some reason, no sauces, cookie was passable at best. Second visit: Sit contemplating my order for a few minutes, lady watching me with a smile, finally approach the counter, begin to order, lady interrupts me and says "Oh we don't have any chicken." - I was confused... "What do you have?" I asked, to which she replied "Anything else that isn't the chicken, the last shift didn't make any". I notice a cook in the back doing nothing but decide not to pursue it any further, take a few moments and decide on the pot pie. While the crust was OK, and most of the filling was passable, the chicken was once again cooked so much that, while not crunchy thanks to being doused in broth, it was so tough I at times had to grip it with my teeth and use my fork to tear it away from my mouth. Finished about 1/4 of it to sate immediate hunger and threw the rest out. The 3rd and 4th experiences were equally bad, with one added wonderful twist: They even manage to screw up the biscuits. The normal warm flaky biscuits (which I've always assumed are 100% premade and tossed in an oven, thats why they're exactly the same at every other kfc ive been to) were flat, rubbery, and wet on the inside, absolutely disgusting. The one thing I tried to console myself with on each visit was "At least the biscuits will be tasty" - but they couldn't even manage that. I had zero positive, or even acceptable experiences at this location out of 4, and will never return.

Very disappointed with this location, both workers were super rude, then tried to tell me they couldn't mix grilled and crispy chicken.. Charged me to change my side items just for me to get home and see they gave me the wrong sides anyway... Very frustrating needs better management.

I ordered delivery from here and got the wrong order when I called they said my order was still sitting in the store because the driver picked up the wrong order after calling them and them telling me to call door dash which didn't resolve my issue either I called back and requested they issue me a refund.and I was.told they couldn't help me so kfc refused to issue my refund because door dashed delivered and doordash refused My refund because I ordered through kfc so I didn't get my food and I didn't get my $40 back either?

This KFC screws up my order again. They have me someone else's order. I ordered chicken breast and got thighs. Your better off to go to Vons and buy chicken breast for $2.00 / piece. KFC charges $3.69 and it's half the size of Vons. Too lazy or busy at KFC to answer their phone.

We made the wrong choice of ordering food from here. Very poorly cooked chicken , everything over cooked and dry meat. We didn't even get our complete order. We missed almost half our order. WHEN I WENT BACK IN THE STORE TO CLAIM THEM THE PLUS SIZE WOMAN GAVE ME AN ATTITUDE WHILE I WAS ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT SHOULD OF BEEN IN THE BAG ALREADY. I ASKED HER RO HAVE A BETTER ATTITUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS BECAUSE SHE KEPT SMACKING HER TEETH AT ME AND GIVING ME DEEP SIGHS. SHE RESPONDED SAYING THAT THEY WERE 2 STAFF MEMBERS SHORT WHICH I REPLYING WITH “ THATS NOT MY FAULT YOU’RE UNDERSTAFFED” !!! I ASKED HER FOR HER NAME AND SHE WALKED OFF WITH AN ATTITUDE. SUPER RUDE. I CONTINUED TO TRY TO GET HER NAME FROM THE OTHER 2 WHITE MALES AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME THEIR NAMES. NONE OF THEM HAD TAGS. THIS WAS JUST UNBELIEVABLE. DONT GO TO THIS KFC UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET ATTITUDE BY 2 WHITE YOUNG MALES AND A BLACK PLUS SIZE WOMAN THAT THEY CLEARLY HATE THEIR JOB.

Worst KFC I’ve been too. Rude staff. I spent 20 minutes in the parking lot waiting for my single order. Walked in to ask how much longer it would take and the employee was scratching his butt.

4th visit, 3rd incorrect order. As with every visit, they regularly seem to be out of certain types of chicken (white meat, extra crispy, grilled, etc.). The chicken I do end up purchasing tastes like its been sitting there for hours.

This place has one of the worst customer service.

June 14. 2025 KFC on El Cajon Blvd across the street of Hoover High School. Gave my order, waited over 10 minutes in the hotel car, and went up the windows. RAN OUT OF CHICKEN!! AT 1:30 pm. It's unbelievable for a chicken restaurant!! I felt sorry for the teenage cashier, not her fault but the supervisor... shouting no chicken! Too bad... I live 5 minutes away... SHAMEFUL

This location has serious staffing issues. Came today and the few workers who were here were stressed so giving me some attitude. I expressed that I didn’t appreciate the attitude even though I understood they were short staffed, and they tried to make up for it, which I appreciated. Not bad people, but need to pay them better or something so they don’t quit. The real killer was that the sandwich isn’t even good. Spicy chicken sandwich, edible but disappointing. I think I prefer the flavor of my high schools spicy chicken sandwich, next time I’ll go to jack in the box. I guess not much they can do about the recipe, but should staff more. I will say the fries were tasty. Crunchy but not like chips, just crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Very good. Would maybe come for the fries.

First time we ordered through drive through, our side containers were filled only a quarter way. Second time through and we didn’t receive two orders of sides. It took us over 20 minutes to reach them by phone. Response was “ come back and we will give you whatever it was” the tone was as if though we annoyed him. My frustration was completely disregarded..so much for a nice family meal.

Stopped to potty. Was told I needed to buy something. Grabbed wallet out of car and purchased 2 piece original and a spicy chicken sandwich per the husband. She opened the bathroom door with her foot, I touched nothing. Seat was up and toilet was dirty, no toilet paper etc. I opened the door with paper towels and waited for my $14 bathroom meal.

Wow, they have lost the idea of costumer service at this location, only they know what they are smoking in there, costumer service is out the door, not even a hint of service and 100% attitude, will much rather go hungry than eat at this location, worst part is that a manager with a name or 'Ronald' or 'Roland' that did not want to provide a clear name, they should use this location on what not to do when it comes to serve the public, maybe not every shift, but can someone get trough, I paid for food and that is all I received. No wonder some jobs are lost to AI.

This staff is lazy and not helpful. The management doesn’t even care to rectify problems that occur with customers.

Y’all lost a lifetime customer to your competitor Popeyes because of this location. Multiple bad experiences. It doesn’t help that the hours are totally inconsistent and unreliable. No one was at the drive through window 45 minutes before closing tonight which led me to try Popeyes and it was fantastic.

They guy who attended me tonight had me go through the drive through, wait in line door 15 minutes and when I made it to the window he stated that they did not have my order because they did not have any chicken left. I asked him why. He told me they turn off the machines about 30 minutes early and that chicken required time to make. guess he told that to the other 5 cars on less me behind me. Highly unprofessional.

These have to be the WORST sandwiches I've ever tasted. Tasted like the bread was rancid and God only knows what the chicken tasted like. One bite of each sandwich, one regular and one spicy and in the trash they went. I don't think I will ever return to KFC. The only reason for one star is because the person at the pickup window was very friendly.

Just garbage. I tried the Double Down after missing out on it over a decade ago, and I will forever remain haunted knowing I could have avoided putting this putrid manifestation of the decline of western civilization in my body. I knew it was gonna be bad but I can only blame my morbid curiosity…. It went in the trash. Also, why do you you only have Diet Pepsi as a diet drink? Yeah, I know I am destroying my body with your calorically dense food so the full sugar drinks shouldn’t matter, but have more than six options. Coke does.

Terrible service. Took an hour for takeout order and they forgot food.

Nightmarishly bad experience where I ordered something on the app and then got to the place and they said they didn't have it and that I would have to call corporate to get a refund in the morning. This went back and forth for 20 minutes until the manager came out and supposedly refund my money but I don't have any faith that the refund actually went through. I will never ever go to another KFC ever again in my life.
