Decent place, friendly service, and excellent food. We ordered Huasteca-style enchiladas, dried beef, rice, egg, and a salad. Very tasty. The daily special was also delicious: breaded chicken fillet and white spaghetti. The water was pineapple.

How nice to come to a place where they serve you homemade, traditional food with fresh flavors! They serve you well; the defining flavors of San Luis Potosí cuisine are found here. I recommend the Huastecan tamales; they're delicious! (It's very difficult to find good tamales anywhere in Mexico.) They're the best in Oaxaca, and these ones in SLP, at this picturesque place, are very, very good! Enjoy a traditional and delicious breakfast!

The dish I ordered tasted good, but the service was a bit slow despite the small number of customers. The three courses were served every 5 to 10 minutes, and not all at once. Customer service needs improvement, perhaps with a menu explanation or introduction. There's no air conditioning, but I went on a cool day and everything was fine.

Personally, we didn't like it very much. The place does have a family atmosphere, but it's rather small. The seasoning wasn't all that great. I went on a Friday, there was absolutely no one there, and the food took way too long. At first, a very friendly person served us, but after that, they never bothered to check on us. I don't even want to imagine what it's like on busy days.

The service is friendly but very slow; I had to wait an hour for a couple of gorditas. And lately the food hasn't been as flavorful as it used to be; I even found a bone in my chicken gordita that hurt my palate.

Personally, I like the quesadillas at this place. They're big and very generously filled with different kinds of stews. If you order to go, they even give you little bags of salsa. The price is reasonable. The restrooms are clean and have soap and toilet paper. There are also several tables so people can sit with their families. I've been there several times and I've always liked everything, from the food to the service. However, the last few times I've gone, the service has been terrible. Here are a few examples: On one of those occasions, I ordered food and a café de olla (Mexican-style coffee). It took them about 15 or 20 minutes to give me the coffee (in addition to the time I'd already spent waiting for the food) and it didn't even taste like café de olla and wasn't sweetened. Furthermore, the cashier had already been told that she was just waiting for my coffee to complete my order. She gave me the coffee herself and left. Already annoyed, I had to ask her if she was going to charge me. On another occasion, I arrived and ordered three quesadillas with pre-made fillings. The place was packed, and I watched as the number of customers dwindled; however, they still hadn't brought my order even as the crowd thinned. The owner noticed and asked if I was ready, and when I told her I'd been waiting for half an hour, she mobilized the cooks with my order. But even then, I waited another 45 or 50 minutes. On top of that, they overcharged me. The banner says they have Mexican-style coffee, but it's crossed out. I asked an employee if it was Mexican-style coffee, and she said yes. I placed my order. Still unsure, I asked another employee if it was Mexican-style coffee, and she said no. I got frustrated and canceled the coffee. They don't know what they're selling. The banner lists the supposed prices, but when I've ordered a certain filling, they've charged me more. Their price list is completely outdated. Their problem is their work organization, and it shows when you're left waiting; even if you only order a quesadilla, you can expect to wait between 15 and 50 minutes.

Although the food is delicious, the service just isn't great. From the moment you arrive until they take your order, it can take 15-20 minutes... so another 30-40 minutes to actually get what you ordered. The house they converted has space both inside and in the backyard and is quite nice. It doesn't have its own parking, but since it's on a main avenue, you can park wherever you can. I think this place is more for adults because of the wait times, since small children don't know how to wait and get irritable when it comes to food. You can pay with either cash or card.
