I'm a regular here and can attest to the good service and quality coffee. I mainly drink coffee but wull occasionally get a specialty drink as well. There are always people here, but service rarely takes more than a few minutes.

I wanted a specific drink and the app didn’t have all the options I wanted so when I picked up my drink I saw it didn’t look right and I believe her name was rose saw that and asked how it’s supposed to be me and I showed her a video I saw and she remade it and it was the best drink I’ve ever had from Starbucks 10/10 service and quality thank you rose

Love Starbucks. My fav is the blended coffee. Great. For summer...so glad there's one every 2 to 3 blocks. There's one near you when you need one or want one. Lots of varietys to choose from. My fav is the caramel frappe with a shot of expresso😀💛☕🍵🍩🍮lots of munchies too. They always have Starbucks products. Like coffee mugs & Starbucks grounded or.beans if you prefer....gift cards are the best gift for a coffee lover.

Coffee is usually made and on the counter before I can sit down, and the specialty drinks are always made right. Bathroom is accessible with a code you can get from an employee.

My boyfriend and I are visiting Santa Barbara for the first time and stopped here early this morning. The staff was very nice and helpful, and I definitely have no complaints whatsoever about this place!😊

Best Starbucks location to order your drink from! I get a Caramel Macchiato every morning before heading to work and it always tastes how I like it! In addition, their workers are super nice, friendly and kind, they always greet you with a smile! I highly recommend this location!!

Had an issue with my drink with the other star bucks a few blocks down. Ordered a pink drink and they filled up the whole cup with ice. After walking to the beach noticed this star bucks and asked them for water to mix up my pink drink. They said not to worry and made me another one with limited ice. 👍 Great service and would recommend to go to this one if you are by the Santa Barbara area.

Another nice Starbucks. I like having my beverage and watching the action on State Street. Restrooms are clean too. I found the Baristas to be very nice. Only downside was I didn't see any outlets. I guess this keeps the bums out.

Fast and friendly baristas all around but Pilar shined a little brighter than the rest today! I came in with my mother to get out of the cold, gloomy and rainy weather for a bit and got a couple hot mochas. Pilar made our drinks perfectly! They were hot and brewed to perfection! But the icing on the cake for me came in the tiniest detail. She wrote a tiny, one word message on each of our cups and it somehow made the beverages taste a little bit sweeter and put a smile on both of our faces! Five star baristas at this location, we will be returning!

A good-hearted team works really well together, and they pay attention to small details to show your care. Some of them are very sweet adding cute notes to your coffee to make your day goes better, and some of them are serious, but that does not anymean they are doing a magnificent job.

Starbucks is pretty much Starbucks wherever you go. What sets them apart is the service and the size of the store. This one is rather small as far as size goes but they always have great service.

Still serving thru the latest 3wk. shut-down, takeout only and that was good enough for me, cause it was early am on a Monday and I sorely needed good coffee.

It is very rare that we treat ourselves to star bucks. But once holiday season comes upon us we like to have a hot chocolate. So delicious. Service is always pleasant. I prefer the Starbucks on state and cota. Happy holidays to all.

My daughter and I have visited this store several times in the past few years. The employees are friendly and service is quick, but the store is not very clean. It's a very busy store with a lot of foot traffic (tourists & business people) coming in off State Street. Maybe they need to hire more employees.

Great place to work. No outlets and the bathroom constantly is closed. What is the obsession in this town with controlling bathrooms and outlets?! This Starbucks is located on a very busy street. There is not enough parking if you are in a car. However, if you are in walking distance of the main strip... this is ideal. Lots of people at this particular site. Considering it was so packed with people the service was fairly quick..

During my stay in Santa Barbara, I visited all three Starbucks on State Street. Each Starbucks had it's cast of characters that would web surf at all hours of the day. Starbucks has become the first choice for internet cafe's in Santa Barbara. There will always be a mixture of locals and tourists at these Starbucks locations.

This Starbucks is just ok compared to other branches. It is overdue for a remodeling for sure. Staff are great as usual! It does have Google WiFi which is fantastic!!! Thanks Google.

Typical Starbucks off of State St. Good customer service, but expect it to be busy since it's right on State. Be aware that the bathrooms are locked by a combo.

Was just after something refreshing so I ordered the acai strawberry beverage which was sickly sweet. Once the ice diluted it a bit it was drinkable and then I poured a full glass of water in it and found it more enjoyable. Wouldn’t order again and I definitely didn’t detect a hint of acai

Starbucks didn't please us today, as for drinks, everything is as usual. But the restroom was terribly dirty, not cleaned, everything was missing, toilet paper, towels, soap. In general, there is NOTHING... My friends and I were extremely disappointed.

Music too loud, even after asking for it to be turned down some. Easy to do. Restroom needed cleaning, papers on the ground. I won't go back.

I love Starbucks, however the barista at this location was very rude and yelled for no reason. Recommend going to any other location in town.

The curly brown haired boy who made my coffee had been more occupied with flirting with the costumers then making my drink correctly, I did come towards the end of the night but it was not busy enough to justify burning the coffee that u put in my drink, forgetting the whipped cream, and then after I asked for it to be added to my drink he managed to smash the wrong lid on top of it cause ing it to spill and get all over his hands. And then proceeded to hand it to me like that. I didn’t want to bother even asking him to remake it because he clearly was not capable the first time and they were closing in 15 minutes so I left with my awful drink in hand won’t do another late night run again.

My first barista was awesome with the purple hair. The 2nd barista was rude as can be. I asked for a raw sugar and she threw a white sugar packet across the counter, when I asked for a raw sugar, she said “next time ask for a raw sugar” WOW. I will pray for that young lady to have more love and tolerance

Ordered my favorite drink, it's a custom drink but simple. I watched the barista make my drink. I tried to tell him that my drink was made incorrectly and that he added to much milk. He actually lied to me and tried to correct me and refused to remake my drink. That was when I informed him that used to work at Starbucks and that I get that drink all the time and I know how it should look and taste. He continued to argue with me, exaggerating the amounts of the drink as he continued to refuse to fix my drink. The other barista, was very polite and interjected and remade my drink. It is not the first time I have had an encounter with this barista. He is lackadaisical and dismissive of the customers. On my way out of the store another customer stopped me to tell me she has had the same problem with the young man but that she can never get him to fix her drink and that he always argues with her.

Had a long day today, so I decided to go get myself a chai latte. The staff didn’t seem rude or anything and was very quick with making my drink, although I can’t tell what’s in my cup. I found clear chunks of something that was dropped into my chai. I go to Starbucks for my chai lattes pretty frequently and never have I ever gotten a drink from there with what looks like noodle chunks. Never will I go here again. Disgusting! I had to go back and edit this a day later because that terrible looking drink turned into food poisoning! Really Starbucks?!!!

Bottom line: Rude staff. Bad coffee. Dirty bathrooms. I came to do homework because I flew into Santa Barbara but didn't need to be in LA until evening to meet a friend. I found affordable public parking nearby so I came to this location. The staff were rude. They got my coffee order wrong. I asked them to remake it and then it tasted terrible. It is also not a place to sit and do homework. There are very few tables and no power outlets. Definitely not like my local Starbucks.

Won't even let customers use the bathroom. I waited outside the engaged bathroom after ordering and a staff member came out and told me "sorry this is not for customers". Strong customer service strategy.

This location is awful! The employees were rude and talked badly about their customers once they’ve left. Their restrooms are closed to their customers and are for employees only. I overheard an employee being rude to a pregnant customer who needed to use the restroom! No option to sit down do to there not being any chairs. Not a friendly location!

I was in this location and I witnessed the most horrible thing I have ever seen a manager of any restaurant do in my life. The manager Rosie told a handicapped lady that she had to leave her walker outside the restaurant because in her words" We don't do that here". When the lady asked if she was talking about her walker the manager said yes. There were other customers in the store and they all were staring at her. She was so humiliated she looked like she was going to cry. I will never set foot in that Starbucks again and I have contacted the district manager and a lawyer on her behalf. Nobody deserves to be treated that way ever.

This post is about sustainability! I was so disheartened to see so much greenwashing in your signage, then enter the shop to see literally so much single use plastic being sold, normalized, discarded on site. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and over 95% of the plastics we consume go straight to a landfill, the ocean, or get burned in the incinerator, which bettering our bodies as microplastics. Will Starbucks as a major multimillion dollar corporation step up to actually incentivize folks using for-here mugs, or bringing their own? If the small mom and pop shop down the street can give me a whole dollar off my cappuccino (check out Dune Coffee!) for bringing my own mug, then why can’t you? For an oceanfront town especially, this feels absolutely atrocious to normalize such reckless consumption. I hope you do more to help customers do better. And to customers who own a cup in their cabinet (I’ll guess most of you, unless you’re in dire circumstances, and if so, ignore!): I hope you also do better! Your use of single use plastics isn’t unique—it piles up, and it’s hurting us all. Bring your own mug or jar or cup if you remotely care about the ocean you live in! Also by now there are far less harmful versions of bottled water you could sell. Maybe at least try for aluminum (infinitely recyclable) canned water?? The plastic bottled is another slap in the face to the local ecosystem. Thanks for considering how to peddle less plastic while messaging real glassware on your signage and communications.

If I had only read the reviews. Never in my many many years as a customer of Starbucks have I encountered a barista that didn’t know what a tea latte was. And was extremely rude when I explained. I was made the worse early grey latte ever. Every customer who entered this establishment while I was there was met with impatience and rudeness. It’s as if the employees yes all of them had something better to do.

I usually enjoy coming to Starbucks, but my recent experience left a lot to be desired. The barista on duty was noticeably unfriendly and seemed irritated when I asked a simple question . There was no greeting, no smile, and barely any eye contact throughout the interaction. To make matters worse, the bathrooms were disgusting. I NEVER BEEN IN A BATHROOM this awful smelling and dirty. I hope this is addressed, as it affects the overall experience of my future visits to this specific location. II took a video of the bathroom to have proofs

When you order mobile order restroom is for customers only🤣 I don’t like to fill it, even if my order is not today! When you have a Starbucks everyday full life and spent in this company thousands of dollars I’m sure they should do not tell if this restroom for customers or not! Very disappointed, because I am a Starbucks customer for the years and try to go to the restroom without ordering, but they refused me!!! They told me that I had to buy something and only after that they would give me the code to the toilet. But the Casa Comal which is next to the Starbucks, let me into the restroom without any ordering, just a pleasant people!

Hopefully you dont need a stir stick, sugar packets, or napkins for your order. You will be told they are for customers only, even after ordering multiple items.

I’ve been coming to Starbucks for years, which means I’ve spent probably thousands of dollars here of the course of that time, like any other Starbucks customer. This morning I placed a mobile order and accidentally made a mistake on my end which meant my drink needed to be remade. I told the barista I was sorry for my mistake because he had to remake it. Upon his remaking it, I asked for a little more cream on the side because it was little darker than my liking, I didn’t want to be an inconvenience a second time which is why I asked for it on the side. Upon my nicely asking for a little more cream on the side the barista Jack, rudely poured out the drink and proceeded to remake it, when he finished remaking it he gave me a what looked to be half an ounce of cream, I can see this barista is intentionally trying to make this more difficult for me. Realizing now that I wasn’t getting treated very nicely by this barista I asked someone else for a little cream, this barista’s name was Rose, she also made it very difficult for me to get a little bit of cream on the side as well, I’m assuming it’s because I watched Jack talking to her about what just happened between he and I. When I asked her, she proceeded to tell me “I’ll do it this time but not next time”. After being a Starbucks customer for 10+ years, spending so much money, even was an employee for this company at one point— I will NEVER spend another dime with Starbucks or any other locations. Teach your employees to treat customers with kindness and respect. We aren’t here trying to come up on some free cream, just want my coffee to be what I expect when it costs me $6. Stephanie was a wildly unpleasant individual. The kind of person you remember for years because of how odd your interaction was and how instantly aggressive she was. She seems like a baseline angry person or maybe someone massively pissed her off but either way, her attitude is absurd. Thank goodness Aana was there to balance her out. Thank you Aana.

I accidentally spray the sunscreen (have alcohol in it) into my eyes and felt burning. The staff told me to order to get the code for the bathroom. After i placed my order, the staff told me the bathroom is cleaning and don't allow me to use the staffs restroom tap even in emergency situation. Eventually i gave up coz of the awful feeling and went to find another restroom.

I went here and got a coffee and there were a lot of homeless people and no electric outlets so I told the barrista there must not be a lot of outlets because of the homeless people who would charge forever and that it'd be ironic if there were a lot of plugs over at the homeless shelter and she told me " why don't you go enjoy your coffee over at the homeless shelter then " . Ok....

I've crossed the country, hitting Starbucks daily. The customer service in this one really needs some love.

Check your receipts and listen for the total. We mysteriously got a $5 tip added to our $8 transaction when we didn’t even touch the screen. Simply tapped to pay. We caught the scam when she said our total was $8.90 but the transaction showed $13.90 on our phone. We never saw a tip option on our end. Don’t want to blame the cashier but that was very strange. We asked for that to be reversed but she refunded the original $8.90 which is very nice of her but still super strange that she would want to keep the $5 tip and refund our order. Why not just refund the mistake and keep the amount owed to Starbucks? Makes it feel a bit shady.

Wish I would've read reviews prior to walking into the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting, it's unsanitary, health hazard. The toilet seemed to have overflowed, urine, and feces on the floor! When I reported it to the baristas they didn't seem to care. They should have closed it, that's unsafe! By reading reviews, it seems to be the norm for them to have a filthy bathroom. Shame on you Starbucks!

Not recommended. Staff very disorganized and my waitress was very unfriendly. She didn't even say goodbye to me when I thanked her and politely said goodbye. Disrespectful! In addition, the store is quite dark and the restroom was very unclean.

I went to this Starbucks expecting a simple, no-frills cold brew. Nothing fancy. Just a cold brew. I ordered, paid, and waited… and waited… and waited. 20 minutes passed. People who ordered after me got their drinks. I kept checking the pickup counter like I was waiting for a miracle. Spoiler alert: it never came. No one called my name. No one checked in. No apology. No explanation. Just pure, caffeinated silence. I eventually just walked out, frustrated and still uncaffeinated—which, let’s be real, is a public safety issue. Get it together, Starbucks. Cold brew shouldn’t take longer than a dinner reservation.

I placed an order at 7AM on Sunday March 30th to this location and went to pick it up. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door that said there was an emergency and that the Starbucks would be open at 8:30AM. I had already placed the order in the Starbucks app and it said that the store was open, or else I would have never placed the order. When I knocked on the door to try to get the worker's attention they ignored me. Then they yelled at me and told me they weren't open and that I should read the sign. When I told them I read the sign and that my order was already placed and tried to show them the receipt they told me "too bad, I'm sorry I can't help you." They never gave me my order, and I am out $20 bucks in coffee for my family. I've reported this to the Corporate Starbucks Customer Service Department for such a terrible experience, not to mention, they never gave me my order so they owe me a refund. Do not go here

You ask for fresh, hot coffee, but they still give you the old coffee that has been brewed a long time ago. If you ask you for heavy cream in your coffee, they try to charge you extra. This is not an extra charge. Other Starbucks do not charge for heavy cream in your coffee. This location has slow service and poor customer service. The district manager needs to pay attention to this location The Starbucks further down, Lower State Street, is much better.

Awful experience. Receipt number 783347. I got two Venti mocha frappes with caramel drizzle, one with h&h & one with whole milk. Got barely any drizzle. The whipped cream tasted old per my husband. The girls making my drinks, one of them new, wiped my drink with a really dirty rag before adding the lid & handed it to me. I didn't even drink it. I tried to get their attention, but they were too busy with the short line they had. The new girls seemed like she was just thrown into it. I feel like I wasted a lot of time waiting, wasted money, & was still thirsty! Ugh. Never going back here. There's one down the road on the other side of the downtown walking area. I'll go there next time.
