The food is just amazing and the service too! The octopus is the best octopus I've ever tried, and the party in the jungle is simply a great experience to visit Tulum. Great place.

We had an amazing dinner here. The steak was incredibly well made. Fish dishes were fresh and great also. Angel was our guy 🙌 really friendly and helpful for the whole night Definitely would come back!

This is our 2nd time here. The food is absolutely fantastic. The Mayan smoke throughout, smells so yummy and the staff is so friendly and helpful with recommendations. I will certainly be back for a 3rd visit!

We called here for drinks, drawn in by the look of the place and the music playing as we walked by. Absolutely stunning venue and amazing cocktails. The bar tender, Ivan, was very knowledgeable about the ingredients used in the tailor made drinks we had, really lovely guy. A most enjoyable visit. Shame we’d already eaten as the food looked fab too.

The food was absolutely incredible. Flavours so unique and balanced. We had a crudo with fresh green flavours and a piece of amazing sea bass dish of the day, plus the famous octopus. Our waiter Alvin recommended cocktails and wine that went perfectly with the food and the vibe and music was so fun.

My girlfriend and I are big foodies and we were skeptical to try many of the restaurants near the busy hotel zone but Casa Jaguar completely surpassed our expectations! The vibe was chill and moody. The food was phenomenal, and the drinks hit the spot! Ivan was our server and he was super attentive and gave many suggestions and parring ideas. We had the aguachile to start which has a little kick and super flavorful, as well as the octopus. YOU MUST GET THE OCTOPUS! For our main we had the catch of the day which was also phenomenal and full of flavor. We love spicy and asked for salsa and were given an amazing habanero salsa. If you love flavor and good food + vibes you must stop at Casa Jaguar

The atmosphere is amazing! Literally the prettiest bar in Tulum and they have a black house cat that is to die for! Our bartender Ivan made us custom drinks that were hands down the best we had all week! One million stars!!!

The food, service, and ambiance were perfect. The shift supervisor would stop by the table and ensure everything was satisfactory. She recommended one dish and a cocktail drink. Both were excellent. Since the restaurant is open air, they walk around with a pleasant smelling, burning pot to determine the mosquitoes. I asked a staff member if that was the reason, and he returned with a spray bottle of Off. Allow extra time to arrive because of the local traffic along the Ocean drive.

We went there on Thursday night which was also the night of the jungle party. the food was soooo good, we got sea bass in banana leaf and octopus with peanut butter sauce and both were delicious. I could say it was the best sea bass that I’ve ever tried. We also got 2 cocktails which were amazing a little bit spicy but so refreshing The vibe, the music and decor was perfect, would definitely come back to try more of the food and drinks

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Charlie at Casa Jaguar for the absolutely fantastic drinks! Each cocktail was crafted with care and really hit the spot. And special appreciation to Jesus for the attentive service throughout the evening - never had to wait long for anything and he made sure we were well taken care of. Franco gave us the best recommendations and made sure we were taken care of right away! The perfect combination of great drinks and excellent service made for a wonderful experience!

Good food, Great Drinks, Awesome Service!

Amazing place!! This place has very good food, they have for dinner octopus and fish, you can order the “Pez Rostizado” and the “Tostadas de Pulpo” great choice for dinner. You can go even with your friends or partner. After this, at 9 pm the party begins, they have DJ that plays good music and becomes party.

Amazing food and cocktails! Service is on "island time" so it's a pretty slow dining experience. But the atmosphere is beautiful (candle lit, had some sage going) and the cocktails come pretty quick. So just get some drinks, sit back, and enjoy! On the pricier side, dinner for two with a few rounds of drinks was $150 US.

EDIT: came back to Tulum and went back to Casa Jaguar. Even though the menu hasn’t changed I was amazed at the standard and the quality of the food and the drinks that tasted somehow better. I am still dreaming about the rib eye and the many cocktails I had. This was a recommendation from my hotels front desk and I am so grateful for it. The cocktails were out of this world and that ceviche was so refreshing I was ready to eat another one. But then there was the steak. Spectacular meal!

Pricy but worth it! Portions were large, we got 2 mains and one starter between two but would have been full with just the mains. The catch of the day and pork belly were delicious and the mezcal cocktails were a must try. We had to wait 15 mins for a table at 7pm without a reservation. The vibe is more chilled than clubby like other restaurants nearby.

Amazing restaurant and bar in Tulum. Amazing fresh food and ingredients with the service to match. Great ambiance here at Casa jaguar but expect ques as this is a popular destination for lunch and dinner in Tulum Mexico! It’s all worth the wait.

Beautiful candlelit atmosphere at night. Thursday nights are when they have parties going on. I would not recommend the Ceviche Aztlan. It looked like a plate of green soup with shredded vegetables. Their slow cooked pork chop, however, is FIRE 🔥 I also really enjoyed their tuna tostada it was really tasty. Had some churros dipped in chocolate for dessert and that was yummy too 😋 It’s set outside in the jungle so you’re going to get bitten by mosquitoes. 🦟 Come prepared! 🪐Instagram: @melanieguintu

Ivan made us the best drinks. I told him I wanted something citrus like a tequila squirt and he put together the best drink I’ve ever had…. explained everything in English and Spanish what a great bartender, definitely recommend anybody going in there and requesting any type of drink you want you…he will make it for you.

Fantastic place, with a great atmosphere. Our waiter Matteo was super friendly and very pleasant. Decent prices with really high quality food. We were there on a saturday evening, and they had brought in a DJ and played some good music as well. A must visit when in Tulum. 5+ for the housecat as well, very well behaved and made an othervise "normal" restaurant visit someting extra 😊

Angle is truly the best. From start to finish, the service was exceptional and exceeded all expectations. They were professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about delivering a great experience. Every detail was handled with care, communication was smooth, and the overall process felt effortless. You can really tell they take pride in what they do. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top tier service. A solid 10 out of 10.

Best night at Casa Jaguar in Tulum. The music was unreal, the vibe was perfect, and everything just flowed. Huge shoutout to our waitress Angel, he was so warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. If you want great energy, great service, and a fun night out, this place delivers.

A few things before getting started on the food, they open at 6:30 and we had a reservation for 6:30; they lost our confirmed reservation, then said they were not ready for service at that time. 15 minutes later we were seated and told because of the party we would have to be through within 2 hours (we had already agreed to this when making the reservation so not a huge deal). Cocktails were about average to the area, with nothing too overly unique as other establishments in the area are a bit more creative. I would say that overall taste, portion size and ambiance are the best attributes of this establishment! Service leaves a lot to be desired, though our waiter was nice we rarely saw him unless he thought something was wrong. There seemed to be a lot of disconnection with all staff. The portion sizes are more than expected on all of the menu and should be treated as shareable plates. The taste of the prawns and catch of the day were both fresh, well thought out and regionally specific in flavor. The ensalada was refreshing but not really anything besides just that, an ensalada. Overall the ambiance and flavors are what really were a win for this restaurant. They definitely are farther ahead than Hartwood in the area but the service and mediocre cocktails really didn’t give the full experience we were expecting.

Great food and great cocktails in a beautiful environment! The place was quiet but the staff were super attentive. Reasonably priced for the location and compared to its neighbours. Grilled octopus was cooked well although the peanut sauce was a little overwhelming. Would definitely recommend visiting if on Tulum beach

Really cool atmosphere. Music great on Tuesdays & open late with a DJ. A small space for dancing. Good cocktails. Neat open kitchen area with huge stone oven. Had tuna tostada which was fantastic.

Food was good. Vibe was good. We had a reservation but had to wait a while. There was a party happening in the very back of the restaurant as well. Overall still a decent experience.

The fish is great. If you like fish dishes you should try it. The atmosphere was pleasant until slimy people came and turned it into a bar with some of the staff. For half my stay, I felt like I was in a noisy bar. We were with a friend in all the top places in Cancun. And I would advise the manager and owner of this restaurant, to go to Arca and see how the manager is trained to present you the menu with all the details.

Great vibes beautiful place. Came here with friends during our wedding weekend in May for the Jungle Party. After contacting them they made it seem like we really should reserve some tables / bottle service given our group size (25) and made us pay for the bottles ahead of time, were super sketchy about it, recently changed owners. Totally wasn't necessary wish we would have just gone in and paid the cover would have saved $800. Got there at 10:30p on a Thu, no line and they didn't even have tables reserved and took them 15 mins to get situated.

The food looked amazing and was tasty. The drinks, the atmosphere and the service were very good too. But I think overall it is a little overpriced.

Great food & Drinks in a really cool setting... LOTS of mosquitoes. Hard to enjoy. Tip included so the waiters don’t feel the need to give best service kind of vibe.

The food was okayish at best. We tried the octopus that was too stiff and the red snapper, that was ok at best. The price is too high for the food they deliver. The Tosta de Atun was great tho.

The best part was food. The portion size are normal and the quality was very good. The ambiance is not very nice as you can smell agar wood heavily all the time. Also a hungry cat jumped over our table to get food but the worst thing was the receptionist how told us at the beginning you just can sit in your table for 2 hours. Last but least they automatically added 18% tip on our bill

We have been here on Thursday because of the Jungle party, at around 9pm the music changed but a part for that nothing else happened, so we still wonder what it's the party about. The menu is pricy, like the neighbours restaurants, so the expectations were high. The cocktails didn't let has down, they were lovely and balanced but I can't say the same about the food. We ordered the prawns and the seabass, regarding the prawns nothing to complain about but also nothing unremarkable, the fish instead we didn't really like it. The place itself is very fascinating with those tables on the ground between the trees with DJ playing good music and the service was alsonice, but for the first time since we are in Tulum we felt a bit unsafe because of the presence of some dodgy people with backpack standing on the corners of the floor and close to toilets. Maybe it was only our impression but right after we finished our food we pay our bill and left.

We arrived at Casa Jaguar for our reservation and were promptly seated, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the seating itself set a poor tone for the evening. The solid wood table and chairs were extremely uncomfortable—far less comfortable than what you’d find at an average burger joint. Our waitress, however, was a highlight of the experience: friendly, pleasant, and attentive throughout the meal. The menu is quite small, with limited choices, and they were already out of the fish of the day. The cocktails were good, though priced more like Miami than Mexico. We started with the octopus and shrimp, both of which were well prepared and enjoyable. For main courses, we ordered the ribeye, sea bass, and pork ribs. The sea bass was fresh and nicely cooked. The ribs were ordinary—fine, but nothing memorable—and the portions were on the small side. The ribeye was the biggest disappointment. The meat was clearly low quality: not very tender, with a gamey and rather unpleasant taste that made it hard to enjoy. For dessert, we tried the lava cake, which was very average and similar to what you’d find at many chain restaurants. The total bill came to $400. For that price, the overall experience was definitely not worth it. While this level of pricing seems to be the norm in Tulum, it’s still hard to justify. We’ve had better meals—and better overall experiences—at local taco shops for a fraction of the price.

Dining at Casa Jaguar is a test in endurance. How much loud music are your ear drums able to handle? How much mediocre food, bad service, overpriced meals are you able to put up with? If that won’t break you, then congrats, you’ve passed the test, and the rest of your Tulum experience will flow smoothly from that point onwards.

Do not come here. Absolute worst service. No one came to our table unless we asked. We got there at 730 and didn't have "dinner" until 1130. If you are vegetarian then definitely find another restaurant, they have no options.
