We ended up here after trying to walk in to Pujol without reservations 🤦🏻‍♂️. But I would garner to say we enjoyed the experience here even more and at a substantially lower cost. Prepare to be assaulted with color and flavor, each preparation more creative than the last. A 5 star experience without a doubt, Michelin should come pay a visit

Amazing! A must do whether you are a local or a tourist, i loved every minute of this experience, this wasn't just a meal but a must do if you are in the city. Beautiful details that reminded me of my childhood with the colours, the items used to beautifully plate every dish, the names in the menu of the dishes and the flavours were just great. Service was top notch as well!

All the food was impressive : you couldn't get enough of it. Really subtle tastes and great combination of flavors. The duck in black mole was specially satisfying. Both fish : pargo and robalo, where delicious. And the non-alcoholic cocktails were extra interesting. Good selection of wines and service. Spot on.

One of the best if not the best meal we had in Mexico City. The place itself is very beautiful and the food equally so. Each dish was like eating a piece of art that thoughtfully designed and created. The food and drinks were delicious! The service was superb. We came for my birthday and they gave us Moet and some cake and ice cream. The restaurant is located in a very safe and well-to-do part of town. We will definitely be returning on our next trip!

A magical experience I would say. This review sounds over the top as I read it. I wasn't high, I was just whisked away to the dining experience of my life. I'll try to give you a sense of it. Warmth, caring, love of food and a touch of whimsy show themselves at every turn. The staff - welcoming, attentive and always with a warm knowing smile; acting as a team to truly pamper you. The food, prepared with such care and imagination that even the garnishes blew me away. Spice and texture combinations make every dish a memorable culinary adventure. 2 pastel edible flower petals dot a cannelle of almond ice cream, a few chopped toasted almonds on top and alongside and two piped narrow ribbons of sweet sauce colored to match the flowers run the length of the plate in two directions to dazzle your eyes first and then your taste buds. Each dish had equally delightful surprises. Perfectly cooked cornmeal encrusted salmon with a grilled baby corn peeking out of light green corn husk whose sheaths were curled purely for show, and heavenly ceviche (I could kick myself for not taking picture of it). This to me was dining taken to Nirvana.

Had a great time here for lunch. The food is amazing but even better is the presentation. The duck mole was outstanding and the agua frescas full of flavor. Best of all, the concept is very interesting and it shows that fancy doesn't have to be dim and candlelit. Very fun, amazing concept, great food!

This is a great restaurant. Great foods, desserts, and services. The wait staffs and chefs take their time to present the foods and desserts accordingly to Mexico traditions. Also, great wine selection and must try the Flag drink. Love is here and highly recommended.

Excellent top rated Mexican food. The chef has a creative flare and provides tasty all around dishes such as seafood, Mexican Food, soups, salads, meats, desserts, and fabulous drinks. The experience is 5 star with truly personalized service. LOVE it. Cheers

Wow, what a meal and what service! I visited Dulce Patria this past Tuesday evening and had the “pink menu” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Unique and delicious plates, paired with the yummiest mezcal cocktail. And the service was 💯 I highly recommend this place! Solo traveler friendly and welcoming :)

This restaurant deserves a five star rating for their attention to detail and the quality of their service. The staff are excellent. The food is very good with inventive takes on traditional dishes. One example, a seasonal margarita made with dry vermouth, another, the inclusion of cactus flower in the arugala salad with blueberry peanut vinaigrette.

Beyond distinctive. A great mix of tradition and innovation, actually improving on the basics. Would recommend any foodie visiting Mexico to make Dulce Patria an obligatory visit. +You will enjoy a great service experience (even if at the beginning feels weird). +You will enjoy having a lot of choices: you can choose to have one plate from the meny or a full seasonal tasting menu; you make your own rules and are not locked up in "whatever" they have right now +You will enjoy spectacular drinks and advice: choose from cocktails, mocktails, wine, mezcal, beer, etc. and we always had the friendly advice from their staff +You will enjoy SPECTACULARLY LOOKING, AMAZINGLY TASTING food. I will definitely return when in CD MX, and definitely would recommend friends, family and anyone to go.

Good was excellent here, got the lobster and seafood soup, the broth was excellent. Also tried the sea bass and salmon, both were excellent but enjoyed the soup the most. Also got the mini quesadillas as an appetizer, these were amazing as well

Dishes are quite original and colorful. Some with a lot of different ingredients and textures, which create complex flavors. Attention from staff is superb.

Dulce Patria is gourmet Mexican cuisine restaurant by chef Martha Ortiz. It has a well blended fusion between traditional and fancy dining. Portions are small and a bit pricey. Service is extremely good.

This is my favorite restaurant in Mexico! I'll eat here once or twice each time I visit Mexico City. This time our group ordered a bunch of appetizers, a few salads, and were too full for entrees. So we just ended up ordering some desserts to finish off this amazing meal. Dulce Patria never fails to impress me with their creative and delicious dishes.

A food orgy and a feria of gastronomical creativity... nothing fancy I can say here that truly describes my dining at Dolce Patria. An absolutely mind-blowing menu, paired by superb service, fabulous interior design — all create a truly magic experience. The flavors are so unique, earthy, rustic, complex and unpredictable .... like unapologetic monuments, they relive their prehispanic glory here. A marvelous place on earth!

Amazing food and the presentation was gorgeous. Everything looked beautiful and the food was very good. Had the fillet - above average but not the best I have had...

K

Upscale restaurant in one of the nicer parts of town. They obviously take pride in service and presentation. Everything was excellent in spite of the relatively small portions. I would advise making a reservation on the weekends.

Amazing duck in mole sauce. Guacamole was good. Extremely upscale dining experience for a relatively low cost. Definitely worth a visit. The squash soup especially was amazing!

The food is great, a nice list or Mexican mezcal, and wines; compliment the food. Try the tuna, and frijol soup.

M

Great authentic Mexican dinner experience. The food was fabulous and the service was great. Even for a couple that didn't speak much Spanish! Check out the smoking desert too!

High end restaurant with Mexican gourmet food. Shared a couple of appetizers and had a main course. Food tasted amazing, portions were small. Recommend checking out the monthly specials. Service was top notch. Place is expensive ($1,000 per person)

Such a great meal. It looked a little weird when we first walked in but really great fancy Mexican food. Lots of wait staff. Very helpful. We went with kids. Most folks were business or dates. But it still was great experience. I'd avoid the beef fillet too sweet. But rest was terrific. Great cocktails.

I’m not sure there’s anything else to say about this place other than if you don’t try it then you are missing the best combination of flavors ever. Being a traveler I have had the opportunity to try different foods and cooking styles but so far this is the best of all of them. Traditional Mexican food with the right touch to make your tongue fully utilized for the combination of flavors makes this a unique experience that there’s no way you want to miss it. I shared the table with a couple of friends and we all were very impressed. Give it a try if you haven’t, you won’t regret it at all!!!!

S

The food, presentation and service here are that of a Michelin star restaurant. I went with 4 people. We all had different dishes and I tasted them all. The flavours are so incredible. Portions aren't huge as you expect in high end restaurants. The interior and ambiance are quite in your face and not your usual scene of red and gold. Most waiters speak excellent English also.

Exquisite presentation matched by enduring flavors made this a highly memorable experience. The menu is unique and creative and constantly changing, so I look forward to coming back. The service was outstanding, with perfect recommendations to pair with our wine (try the granache!).

I have eaten there a couple of times. The food is unique, Mexican style with a distinctive touch of the Chef. The site is small and can full, booking is probably recommended. The site is a little bit overpriced, but the quality of the ingredients is good and the originality of the dishes is remarkably. Very nice mix between salty and sweet ingredients.

J
Jose Carlos Alarcon Lopez

Very fancy socialité spot for a date to impress, tasty food good service, great location. All is good and pricey. Well deserved place on Mexico’s “120” country wide list. Reservation is almost a must.

M
Margot Zhang

A beautiful experience in this restaurant, the food was not only delicious but also perfectly dressed, it's like a fairy tale for me !

J
Jorge Gastelum

Great place I really love the presentation for every dish but today wasn’t the best experience I came often

M
Monica Rivera

Good menu, bit expensive for what you get. I really loved their mamey creme brûlée, so original! The place is more noisy than a regular upscale restaurant.

R
Ray Sutton

Amazing take on a Caesar Salad! They treated us very well on our anniversary. All of the dishes we had were very high quality and creative.

J
John Lee Ward

Great originality in plating. Very creative and original dishes. The only negative for me was the service. So many waiters that they were bumping into each other. And our lead waiter was pushy to the point of annoyance to push food and drink on us. Almost seemed more like a used car salesman. Clearly, the staff is trained to maximize ticket gross and not to maximize customer satisfaction.

P
Patricio A.

Do you like Chipotle Mexican Grill? Do you consider it “Mexican food”? If so this place is for you... In all honesty service is excellent, food is very good, it is just not Mexican food. You will not have a bad time if you come here, but it is overpriced (relative to nearby offerings) and there is no authentic food, spicy food or overall WOW factor. Restaurant looks like it was last remodeled 20 years ago. If you are visiting Mexico or live here and just want a great dining experience you are better served going elsewhere.

E
Emmanuel Manrique

Among the price and the quality plus the quantity, dishes are overpriced. I think chef Martha skills are not in doubt but the relation cost-benefit.

J
Jitske Mols

Sooo stiff. One person staring at your table the whole time. Dancing around doing unnessecary things. Good food though. But not my kind of service and atmossphere.

F
Fernando Macedo

The restaurant is overrated The food quality is great and the service was really poor The wine I requested was not available We wait more than 40 min before getting any bread or appetizers. The waiter was trying to offer always the most expensive dishes. The wine price was three times more expensive than street price , when I usually get two times the cost in the Restaurante’s We got our dishes after asking three times an hour later and the place was not full

X
Xavier Boyaval

Huge disappointment. The food was decent but didn’t match the expectations after all the buzz going around that restaurant. The service was terrible. Our waiter was even untrained or having a bad day. When we asked questions he ran away and ignored our table. At this point we decided to skip dessert! Our food experience in Mexico City was amazing and we discovered some delicious restaurants. Unfortunately Dulce Patria didn’t make the cut.
