It's not a farmhouse. Or rather: it's not the farmhouse that many seem to expect, reading some of the negative reviews. Colmetto offers structured, gastronomic cuisine with a true tasting menu: those who arrive expecting rustic portions and "country trattoria" dishes will likely be disappointed. We chose the large tasting menu, and the experience was very positive, well-crafted, and lived up to expectations. We left feeling satisfied, contented, and full. A pleasant surprise that deserves to be understood before being judged.

Recommended by several people, we went for Sunday lunch. A beautiful location nestled in the Franciacorta countryside, a bright restaurant with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We chose the small tasting menu, consisting of a shared appetizer, a first course, a choice of second course, and a small dessert. The courses are extensive, with seemingly small portions, but you're left feeling satisfied. The wine list is extensive, offering interesting options by the glass (perhaps a bit pricey for the latter). The wait staff is attentive and friendly, with perhaps the only flaw being that some are more knowledgeable and lively than others, though overall they're all very good. The price is certainly not typical of a "good" agriturismo restaurant, but it's commensurate with the care and attention to detail in preparing the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. The experience was positive, and we'll definitely be back to try the various dishes, which reflect the seasonality of the ingredients.

We had such a memorable evening at Il Colmetto! Firstly we were met by the welcoming party- a group of donkeys! Then Riccardo gave us a short tour of the garden and the goat dairy, the products of which we were able to try later. The service from Niccolo and Stefano was perfect and they were so patient with our four kids. We particularly appreciated the kids toilet facilities and outside playground. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The wine paring was superb. Highly recommended and huge thanks to the whole team ♥️🙏

Fantastic dining experience! We were here for a birthday with two families with young children and we all felt taken care of and welcomed. Fantastic food and service, amenities for children (+ the farm animals were a hit), and overall excellent dining experience. Il Colmetto is one of my favorite places, and I always love returning. Every dish is perfect, with balanced flavors. The ingredients used are never predictable and are treated with excellence. The use of vegetables in their dishes is wonderful. I always recommend it to everyone, both for their cooking philosophy and for the extraordinary dishes. Well done.

We went to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful experience. Upon entering the place we immediately liked the ambience, -tidy and warm, beautiful lighting, but not with the air of fanciness that demands you to be self-conscious of how you're dressed, -if you know what I mean. We went with the four courses menu, all were delicious and in good (not too much) portion. Worth special mention was the 'funghi di quercia' and the star of the night was the torta di rose (definitely a go-to dessert). Not a cheap place, but in our opinion the price was super honest and worth every penny. It is a perfect middle way between a fine dining and a homey and welcoming ambience. Definitely coming back!

Amazing restaurant right in the heart of Franciacorta. Almost everything you'll have che chance to taste here comes from their farms, animals, greenhouses, and so on. The look and the cooking are modern, yet the place manages to stay authentic. The staff is very welcoming and the service impeccable. The menu changes slightly every week (or every other week), and some of the entries are quite unique (for the area anyway). For instance, this was my very first time trying the pigeon - and I was not disappointed. The selection of natural wines is impressive, and the one they recommended was nothing short of amazing.

We had lunch at Il Colmetto and tried different dishes on the menu. Everything we tried was very good. Food was creative and tasty. The service was great with no language barrier.

Esperienza piacevole, avevamo delle altissime aspettative su questo posto. Il locale è bello, ben curato. Il cibo ottimo. Niente di stravagante o eccessivamente elaborato. Un menù degustazione ricco e buono, l’abbinamento con il calice di vino perfetto. Abbiamo però riscontrato diverse mancanze sul servizio, nonostante avessimo segnalato le allergie preventivamente, ci è stato chiesto dopo averci fatto accomodare se avessimo delle allergie da segnalare. Nonostante avessimo preventivamente annunciato che fossimo vegetariane e risolto telefonicamente, al tavolo ci sono stati dei problemi. Nessuno era al corrente di questa informazione e ci è stata negata la sostituzione dei piatti di carne. L’unica soluzione proposta all’ultimo era di fare tre primi, e abbiamo rifiutato. Le allergie sono segnalate prima per dei motivi, trovo poco confortante arrivare il giorno della cena impreparati. Da un ristorante di un certo livello mi aspetto un’attenzione e precisione maggiore, però tutto sommato l’esperienza è stata molto buona.

A nice, well-decorated place, but the experience didn't meet expectations. Tons of flies during lunch, really annoying. Dishes were presented in an original way, but lacked great flavor or enthusiasm. Prices were high for the quality. Poorly maintained bathrooms, dirty window. It's a shame; the place has potential, but some important details need work.

Se dovessi valutare solo il cibo, Il Colmetto meriterebbe il massimo dei voti. I prodotti dell'azienda agricola sono spettacolari, gli ortaggi sono esaltati con maestria senza inutili tecnicismi e le carni alla griglia sono cotte a puntino. Un vero inno alla stagionalità e un livello di cucina altissimo che onora pienamente la stella verde detunata sulla guida Michelin. Purtroppo, l’esperienza è stata compromessa da una gestione del servizio decisamente approssimativa. Nonostante non fosse specificato in fase di prenotazione, abbiamo scoperto solo al tavolo la politica del "doppio turno", che ci ha precluso la scelta del menù lungo. La situazione è peggiorata quando, causa rallentamenti della cucina stessa, siamo stati invitati a terminare il pranzo all'esterno per liberare il tavolo. Ritrovarsi all'aperto a metà febbraio, traslocando da soli posate e calici senza nemmeno l'accortezza di chiederci se avessimo giacche da recuperare dal guardaroba, è inaccettabile per un ristorante di questo livello. Paradossale, infine, dover essere scortati dallo chef, gentilissimo e simpaticissimo, attraverso la cucina per trovare il bagno e l'uscita causa mancanza di percorsi dedicati per chi siede fuori. Una realtà così bella meriterebbe una gestione di sala molto più attenta e rispettosa del cliente. Esperienza dolceamara purtroppo, cucina stellare ma accoglienza polare.

Ambiente semplice,pulito e curato . Personale sinceramente un po’ freddo .. uno dei due camerieri davvero confusionario!! Gli ho chiesto un carciofo e ho dovuto ripeterli due volte che i due menù andavano bene così e volevo solo un carciofo per me .. ma alla fine sono arrivati due carciofi dal costo di 15€ Abbiamo scelto il menù degustazione: Faccio io Qualità del cibo ottima e Piatti curati !! Gli Abbinamenti dei piatti personalmente alcuni gli ho trovati con troppa acidità o troppo salati .. non c’era equilibrio nei piatti . secondo me lo chef è bravo ma su alcune cose dovrebbe mettersi ancora a provare ! È un consiglio che spero l’ho prenda bene per lui e per il ristorante! Prezzi secondo me troppo alti intanto .. non penso che tornerò o che lo consiglierò .. la mia passione è il cibo da tantissimi anni .. e giudico per aiutarvi ! Ciao grazieee

We dined at Il Colmetto, choosing the €65 tasting menu, to which we added the off-menu rose cake. First of all, I'd like to highlight the quality of the butter and the rose cake, both truly excellent and worthy of mention: simple products but executed with great care and flavor. Overall, the experience was positive: the dishes were good, well-presented, and made with quality ingredients. You could sense the care and attention to seasonality in the kitchen. That said, considering the rather high price of the menu, the portions should be more generous. Everything is served for sharing, but the portions are truly small. For a €65 tasting menu, we would have expected slightly larger portions. Another aspect that left us perplexed was the wine service. After requesting two glasses, a waiter directed us to a person introduced as a sommelier (we don't know if he was the owner). He asked us our preferences and offered to "let us taste" two different wines. We therefore interpreted "tasting" to mean being able to try the wines before choosing, as is usually the case. Instead, the two wines were poured directly into their respective glasses, without the possibility of tasting, and the person then walked away. Furthermore, the glasses were very lightly filled, and the price of €9 each seemed excessive for what was served. Overall, we didn't perceive the warmth and customer care from that person (perhaps the owner) that we would have expected, especially in a context where expectations were high. However, we would like to highlight the courtesy and professionalism of two young waiters, both very kind and attentive, who helped make the evening more enjoyable. In summary, Il Colmetto offers quality cuisine and an overall positive experience, but greater attention to quantity and service would be desirable to make the experience fully live up to expectations and the proposed price.

We chose the tasting menu, drawn by the numerous positive reviews and with fairly high expectations. Some dishes truly stood the test: original, well-thought-out, and decidedly unconventional, which we greatly appreciated. However, other dishes seemed less balanced: for example, the pork—with its intense and interesting flavor—was accompanied by an equally flavorful salad, making it difficult to distinguish and fully enjoy the individual elements on the plate. The service also had some small flaws: the explanation of the dishes wasn't always guaranteed and depended heavily on the person serving them, with obvious differences from one waiter to the next. Overall, an experience with interesting insights, but with room for improvement, especially in the consistency of the service and the balance of some dishes.

Tutto meno che un agriturismo. Indimenticabile ma in senso negativo, Abbiamo iniziato la cena con un po' di verdure scondite, meno male c'era il pane, Il primo lasciamo perdere, ravioli del plin con un ripieno di ceci acidi Di secondo hanno portato uno spiedone che sembrava un' arrosticino, a dimenticavo il riso con la cenere orribile. E se facessi un brodo così a mio marito mi ucciderebbe(di verza). Oltretutto pagato vicino a 100 EUR.
