Came across this place after searching for a burger in the area and it definitely hit the spot. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and sweet. To start we got the wings which are breaded and fried and so delicious. The burgers are thick and flavorful and come with plenty of fries.

I was surprised to have had a truly outstanding burger at this unassuming little place. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it is going for the aesthetic of a small bar rather than a restaurant, but nonetheless the service was excellent and my burger divine. I could not recommend it more. An 8oz burger with French fries and no drink came to just over $15.

Had an amazing experience here with friends on a holiday night. Great food and ambience. The staff was very nice and accommodating when we came in close to close. Will definitely be coming here again one of New York’s best burgers.

Is it expensive ? Sure. Was it worth it ? Absolutely. I ordered for delivery for a Dumont burger with fries. The burger was thick, juicy and perfectly cooked. You can taste the high quality meat. Fries were a generous portion for a side and were also great !

One of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. Their burgers and snacks are absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend trying the DuMont Burger with blue cheese as well as their fried pickles. The drinks are good too; nice draft beer selection, good gin and tonics, and they carry 1911 Cider. Service is excellent too. My only complaint is the beer prices —everything on the list is $7.

Good food. Like a noticeably above average, hole in the wall type place... But I guess that's how it works these days. The service is great. I've gone for lunch a few times. They're always friendly and fast. This place also looks like it's a good dive to grab a beer and hang out for a bit. Not like a dirty dive, but like a cozy and simple bar sort of dive. Simple divey vibe aside... Really good food. I could hang out here and eat and drink myself happy for a couple of hours.

This is a quality bar with quality food! We’ve only stayed in Williamsburg a week and have been here twice - really good mac&cheese, great home made burger, good beer on tap, friendly service! What more could you want? Colin from Love Actually would have loved it!!!

DuMont (314 Bedford Ave) might just have the best burger in New York City - and there are a lot depending on your taste. DuMont is a cozy place with a nice thick wooden bar; I usually sit at the bar. The service has always been friendly and timely. The bartender recognized me from before, and that’s cool. It has a full bar, too. The food is very consistent. The burger is thick, perfectly seasoned, and always cooked to perfection. The flavor is not an “over flavored” type, but seasoned where you can taste the quality beef. The burger also is not teaming over with sauces and cooked flavored sweet onions, gorgonzola, and other strong flavors that mask the taste of the meat. I like all those things, nothing against them! I just sometimes want a burger to taste like a burger, and DuMont nails it. A great bun too. It’s still a gourmet burger, though, for sure. TIP: go at off peak times due to the small space! Tons of locals hit this place up regularly.

DuMont Burger has become a weekly outing for us. We love the Classic Burger and Beer for $10, and the fries are perfection. The staff are friendly, casual and warm. Cant say enough good things about this lovely little bar that has become a staple in our weekend routine to unwind and slow down a bit! A true gem of Williamsburg.

These guys have been around for years now. Very solid burgers, very satisfying boozy shakes... And my favorite fried pickles in the city (with jalapeños and string beans!!) Often a very chill vibe. The seating is a bit awkward but in the summer if you can grab an outdoor table the people watching on Bedford is very worthwhile.

This place is very small, somewhat dreary, divey bar that is one of the best burger and fries joints. Went with my girl friend and ordered the chicken sandwich and dumont burger with regular and parmesan fries. Do yourself a favor and get the Parm fries. The burgers were perfectly cooked medium and the chicken sandwich was also very delicious. The main course here is that there is some great cocktails here. It's not the biggest list but has quite a few quality ones to choose from and the bartender was spot on in his crafting. I didn't watch him, but maybe great at measuring but who knows. DE 75 is a great one. It's gin but with St. Germaine it nice rounds out the drink to perfectly sweet and smooth refreshing cocktail

Very tasty burger and fries, friendly service and I can't wait to go back! Pretty good deal too and I was very full and satisfied after I left. My only criticism would be the space a bit small so I felt crammed, it wasn't terrible, but would be nice to dine a little more comfortably. I would definitely return to try the other burgers on their menu.

Service was great and the food was exceptional. My chocolate shake was perfect. The turkey burger was perfectly seasoned and hit the spot. The chickpea burger was one of the best veggie burgers I've had and the accompanying sauce was to die for.

One of the best burgers in Brooklyn. Thick, juicy burgers cooked exactly how you want it. The sides are delicious and plentiful. I typically get the regular DuMont Burger, the smaller size, with onion rings and maybe soup if they have tomato that day. The DuMac and cheese burger is a good way to get a bit of the good stuff without buying a full order of the Mac. Smash burgers are on trend right now, and I don’t understand that. I love a thick burger, and I order medium rare because I am confident in the quality of their food.

I ordered a turkey burger on my lunch break, it came with fries and a pickle. It took about 15 minutes to make(which is exactly what they said) we love a punctual lunch! But the best part was the taste! Seriously the best turkey burger I've ever had. I went back to work and told everyone about it. If you are looking for a spot that has indoor seating, cocktails and beer, as well as great food, you should go here! Next time, I'm definitely dining in!

I discovered this place 10 years ago. By far the best burger in the city (and I have tried many).

Decided it's independence day so why not have a burger and this place had one of the best burgers ever. The party was cooked perfectly and the sides that went with it was perfect. I had the chilled cucumber soup and it was really refreshing and flavorful. Their drinks are also great the mint lemonade and summer days *the drink is summer something I forgot what it is *are really refreshing. The staff are also very professional and friendly. So if you want a great burger check them out.

The burgers are delicious! They grind their own meat. The ice cream is delicious. I didn’t realize that the owner and founder of this place invented the ice cream cone. They make fresh cones throughout the day on the original cone making press.

The best burgers in Williamsburg. It’s usually quiet late on weekday nights. Keep it simple with the DuMont 8oz burger and you’ll be good. Edgar is always welcoming and keeps the place clean. The kitchen closes 30 minutes before the bar, so plan accordingly

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. We were craving burgers and decided to check this place out. The burgers were absolutely delicious! Our server was very nice and attentive - would definitely come back!

Last minute decision and so happy my kids wanted burgers that night! We were parked minutes from the Williamsburg bridge after coming back from NYC. Went in and it wasn’t busy and we were seated and several right away! Drinks came out minutes later. The pub has a decent menu and seating area but I can see it filing up quickly on regular days. I’d super highly recommend if you’re in the mood for American cuisine; burger and fries and drinks! Super fresh burgers and crispy fries. Grilled chicken was to die for! Let’s no forget the Mac and cheese: definitely get that too. The potato soup caught me off guard and so did the salad bc it was so yummy.

Burger and fries are consistently great. I like that they don't add any over-the-top ingredients or portions that I feel some burger places use as a schtick. Service is prompt and courteous. The stools and narrow plank tables are minorly uncomfortable but I'm just visiting. Probably not easy to post up with a stroller.

My friend brought us to this Dumont burger restaurant located at 314 Bedford Ave. My friend said that this restaurant has the best burgers in New York. Their restaurant is very casual and warm. The staff is very enthusiastic to greet us and recommend food and drinks for us! When the burger was delivered to me, I couldn't wait to take a bite. Wow, that is indescribable! So delicious! The price is also very affordable! I would strongly recommend everyone to come here to consume!

Shoutout to Dona, the hospitality and service that was shown towards myself, might only rival the AMAZINGLY FRESH FOOD at DuMont Burger! Kitchen closes at 10:30pm, which i hadn’t realized when I walked in at 10:15pm, but Dona took great care of me and the food came out PIPING HOT. The Mac & Cheese & Fresh Fries Are FANTASTIC! Definitely will be back to tryout the rest of the menu. Their Red Sangria was very good as well!

Took the family to DuMont Burger post-playground time and it was fantastic. There was plenty of seating, especially for a bar its size, for both indoor and outdoor dining, our waiter was super nice and chill, and the food was fantastic. We had burgers (grilled chicken, beef, and fried chicken), and mac & cheese, which were all delicious and well priced for the quality. The shakes were also tasty. Will definitely come back and I suggest that others try it out!

When you crave the “burger” experience, DuMont hits the spot. Satiate the need with a grass-fed beef patty sitting on a brioche bun with all the trimmings. Don’t look back and throw in a side of bread & butter pickles, pickled jalapeños & haricot verts dipped in tempura batter - so good!!! My go-to is the very reasonably priced “Classic w a beer”…the aforementioned burger and choice of brew. The rest of the menu is no slouch - mixed green salads, assorted sides, delish appetizers, yummy desserts and more. There are a lot of higher-end, pricier burger joints in this town, but if you want a quick, no frills tasty burger that holds it own, check out DuMont - you’ll be glad you did!

An adorable hole in the wall with dive bar vibes. The shake was really good and then I discovered all the bacon had sunk to the bottom. So that was a nice surprise at the end 😁 The burger was absolutely delicious. The bun was a little soggy but the best burgers are always the messy ones. 🙃

Burger is great. At most restaurants I usually ask burgers rare to get them medium rare. At Dumont they brought me a burger that was actually rare! I appreciate that. Meat was great, the also have Sriracha and Tabasco ( I do not like ketchup). Music was slightly loud and eating at the bar feels cramped with hungover people leaning in your space to order another bloody bloody Mary without concern. Not overpriced for 2018, not inexpensive, but worth the price.

Really good burger. Although if you get the smaller 5 oz they don't want to give you a brioche they give you a "potato bun." perfectly cooked and the caramelized onions are not sautéed onions.

We knew it was a gamble to do takeout, but wanted to try it anyway. The burger is decent, but no special sauce and the 8oz patty was in our view too large to be properly complimented by the ingredients, so recommend the 5oz for a more optimal taste compilation. The fries were tasteful but unfortunately soggy even though we had a 5 min transit time only, so can only give 4 stars for the takeout experience. Probably best to eat this on location (and support the staff!), and we will likely give this a second chance on prem

They have fried pickles. I love fried pickles! The burger was decent and medium rare the way I like it. I really like the dark bar sitting style with open space and outdoor tables. For those that go by the take-out reviews - they will always be bad. You can't have a good burger sit wrapped in aluminum foil and expect the bun to not be moist and soggy. What you need to do is come on a Tuesday night with a close friend, order 2 burgers, share some fried pickles, and drink some good beers. This place has a great demeanor and I'm happy just devouring burgers. As always, remember to go with good company. They make any meal amazing :).

burger cut and mix was high quality, ran around 17 bucks for a 5 oz. I got the Mac and cheese one. Generous amount of Mac and cheese put on top. First couple bites were great although it was slightly hard to eat with all the Mac and cheese falling off. Definitely will need to use a fork. My one gripe is that everything was slightly sweet for my taste. The fries were sweet, house made pickles were sweet, Mac and cheese was slightly sweet, and the onion rings basically taste like funnel cake. Cut down on the sweetness a bit and everything would have been much better. Still a great place though!

Loved the cocktails/burgers/fries/boozy shakes(maple bacon bourbon is the way to go!) but the onion rings where not that great for 8$ I was expecting something better than just 5pc’s of unseasoned onion rings. Everything else was good though.

I’ve heard this is one of the best burger in nyc. We tried fried pickles, Dumont burger and mac&cheese burger. It took more than 30 minutes to come and fries and onion rings got cold already which was a bit disappointing. But the brioche bun and the patty were so good!

The Mac and cheese is VERY creamy and soft. Personally, I prefer a thicker crust and some crunch, but for what it is, I understand why people love it. It’s almost like a cheese soup. I’d come back for the Mac and cheese alone. The burger is an honest burger. Fresh onions and tomatoes can be put on. It’s a patty who’s not afraid to rip its shirt off and scream, “This is who I am!” It’s a simple burger. Thick and flavorful and it lets the patty do the talking. The side salad was meh. Why everyone insists on dousing a bunch of greens in balsamic vinegar and calling it a day 🤷‍♂️ I’ll be back for the burger for sure!

We went around 9 PM and it was PACKED but luckily, I got a seat for me and my brother. The food’s good, the service - great. However, the titular DuMont Burger leaves a lot to be desired.

We had high expectations for this place. We were in the neighborhood and several people had highly recommended the place. First, the service was pleasant, and quick. We decided to sit at the bar which we didn't mind. It was a bit cramped but after the rude girls who wanted to practically sit on my lap left we had some breathing room. And the bartender was great and pretty easy on the eyes. We ordered an fried pickles to share and 3 DuMont burgers. I'm not sure if all the hippsters in Williamsburg are running around with high blood pressure because that's surely what you get after eating here. Or maybe the the salt is good with the beer....? The fried pickles were salty beyond belief. It was inedible after a couple bites. The burger was juicy and flavorful if not for the 1200mg of salt that was put into it. The onion rings must have been in the same batter as the fried pickles because after two bites I pretty much gave up on it. Would I come back again. Maybe but I just might pass and head to Corner Bistro where I know I won't exceed my daily salt intake for the week.

The buns on the fried chicken sandwich are very buttery, a little too much for my taste. The chicken was ok tho, this is not food that u eat and go for a run after tho 😭 ts leaves u slumped

The restaurant is nice and have outdoor dining place. The price is of the burger is around $17 average. They clean every table before you sit. There are a couple of things that caught my attention, they take all the precautions for the covid but put on the table jars of ketchup and mustard for the customer to serve himself (how do they control the way the customer handles these jars? since they are served/shared with other customers ). The waitresses are very friendly but too much, bordering on the annoyance. We received our dishes and it had not been 1 min that we already had another waiter asking if we needed anything else, this question was repeated every approximately every 5 min.Lastly, the burger (meat) was bland as if it were prepared without salt, pepper or any seasoning.

Somewhat disappointing burgers in a hip cramped setting with craft beers. The mac & cheese is over hyped. The milkshakes both boozy and regular were very good.

I’ve heard nothing but stellar things about this place for years so on a Saturday around lunchtime I found myself nearby and wanted a burger. I got a burger, and it was the most lackluster burger I’ve had all year. Pickles were bitter, onions rings undercooked and dripping in oil, and the ranch tasted like it has been around awhile. All in all I just wasn’t impressed. When you have so many other burger spots in brooklyn and especially in the burg, this one failed immensely. The place fees a tad bit dirty as well. Maybe another time. But today I was let down after so much hype

Ordered delivery, was perfectly on time. Felt more like I just got food from a bad diner rather than a burger place. Burgers were overcooked and chicken sandwich smelled like dishrags, not stomach-able. The fries were pretty good and was the only part of the meal I could eat /: Maybe it’s better in the restaurant but delivery was not it. Won’t order from here again.

Ordered their buy one get one classic burger deal on uber eats thinking it was too good to be true and it indeed was too good to be true. The patty was half the size it normally is and it tasted strange, I think it was the sautéed onions mixed with the dry patty. Sad to say they’ve really gone downhill. Burgers used to be thick and juicy and now it’s just sad. Also we ordered Kale Caesar and the dressing they gave was just straight up mayo. Nasty and had to throw it out.

The fries have no seasoning on them and taste like you’re drinking straight oil, The chicken sandwich also lacks any seasoning and tastes very bland and has a strong oily flavor, Their chipotle sauce has no flavor whatsoever, same goes for their ranch.

I just had the most disappointing experience ordering food from Dumont burger. The two burgers I ordered were described as “regular” size but they were laughably small. I also ordered a Caesar salad, and was essentially given a box of raw kale and MAYONNAISE for dressing. I wasn’t able to even eat the salad it was so disgusting. Truly a waste of money. The place used to be really good I have no idea what happened.

Sadly this is not the Dumont of yesteryear when it was on Lorimer. I don't think it is the same owner or group. I went in hoping for that amazing burger and atmosphere, but it has a sports bar feel and the burger is not anything special. Definitely not the same as Dumont on Lorimer many years ago. For anyone coming here for nostalgic reasons, it's "dumont" in name only.

Got a burger and fries after seeing so many good reviews. It comes off as a classic pub burger place but was disappointing. Fries were all soggy and flavorless. The burger was way smaller than expected. Asked for it cooked medium, when biting into it was rare, raw and cold in the middle, had to cook the patty at home.

Don’t be fooled, nothing like you remember. Paid extra for the larger patty, was still tiny. Fries were cold and unseasoned. Signature salad was missing Haricots Verts and Bacon, had a minuscule amount of blue cheese and enough dressing for 1/5th of the salad. So many better options for less money, don’t bother.
