Cracker Barrel is usually always on point! Went for my birthday and had the platter. I had enough for dinner. My only complaint is the amount of onions they use. I don't really like onions and when they use them it's a lot and they're big pieces.

Tried this place for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. Our waitress was very nice and fast with taking orders and bringing our food. She also always refilled the coffee. French toast, bacon and egg were very tasty!

The hostess was very pleasant and friendly! Our server Charisma was the best! Charisma was professional and even helped me choose between menu items to hit my craving. The customer service was on point. I heard a waiter behind me that also sounded very friendly with his table, as if they'd been in before and asked specifically for him. That's how you know the servers are great, people ask for them by name. Very satisfied!

We go to either the Killeen or the Temple Cracker Barrel every couple of months. This time we visited the Killeen store again for lunch. Went around 1:30 pm on a Thursday and while it was very busy, we were able to be seated right away. The food - we both got the turkey and dressing special - was great. In the past we've had good service here, but this time our waitress must have been way too busy. She attended to us, but wasn't friendly at all. That's fine, but if she had been nice enough to smile or say something nice, the service would have been considered as so much better. Be forewarned about two things - don't go anywhere near a busy time of day or you could be in for a long wait! Also, you may get sticker shock at the menu prices!

This amazing human being was everything I could ever ask for in a person who was helping me with my food. You just hit gold with this woman. She was coming around working probably her normal routine. Every single one of her acts my husband would look at me for and KNEW. THIS IS MY PERSON. I work in customer service myself and have high expectations for services provided. This amazing person is the first person ever to bring me my receipt without me asking because I hate waiting on one after eating Food. Probably not many people do this but I like to be efficient, get in, eat, get out especially in their busy times! CAPRECE MADE MY WHOLE WEEK! Cracker Barrel, I will be coming back, and only for this woman. Please thank her, gift her, recognise her, appreciate her! SHE IS DESTINED TO BE A MANAGER AND SO MUCH MORE! This was my first time being here around 12 -2 pm. My husband’s friend recommended we go here for pancakes however warned us about the service not being good. We went and truly wasted $50. Our waitress wanted to be unfriendly condescending and rude. She disappeared a good 30-45 minutes. I am not exaggerating. Saw her stretching at some point and talking to her co workers which I understand to be honest, stretch away… but I saw people getting food way before us with other waiters after these customers would arrive 10-20 minutes after us.Then saw her talking to her co workers for a bit. It was hard talking over the music being so loud but once we would misunderstand each other she would make a frustrated / annoyed face. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. I am fairly sure she entirely forgot about us and our food bc once our food came it was warm to cold. Hash browns were burnt. Sweet ham was overcooked and dried. Pancakes were okay but they were literally fried with butter which is the only difference between ihop. Someone else entirely brought us our food. Then our waitress came and apologised for the long wait. I’m never coming here again. Never recommending this place to anyone. The food that was burnt overcooked and dry with rude and unfriendly experience. Which could’ve been avoided and made at home. PLEASE save your money folks. Stay home or go to ihop.

Mt husband and I like going to Cracker Barrel for a scratch kitchen experience for breakfast. The food is filling and quite satifying. The nicknack shopping isn't bad either.

I love their menu and the food. I've been away from them for a couple years and it was amazing to get a few slices of meatloaf. Probably the best meatloaf I've ever had.

I met a long-time friend for lunch. Although it was fairly packed, we had no wait. Our server was great! She was very attentive and kept our glasses full, without us having to ask. I tried the Shepherds’ Pie with pot roast for the first time and it was very good!! My friend had the pot roast meal which she also enjoyed. I took a meatloaf meal home to my husband and he said that was also delicious! Great job!!

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server, Jada, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed with a smile. Daeja, the cashier, was warm and welcoming, making the check-out process quick and pleasant. And a huge shoutout to Ernest, the manager — he truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. You can tell he leads the team with care and professionalism. It’s Cracker Barrel so most know what to expect with the shopping while you wait or after dinner and the rocking chairs out front. This is our local restaurant and every visit for years has been pleasant with great service in a clean family friendly atmosphere. The home style food is always a home run and not overpriced. If you are local or passing through it’s worth a visit.

I have not been to Cracker Barrel in over ten years and I don’t remember the food or service being this flawless. Customer Service was outstanding and the food was delicious! I only have one compliant the area where you pay is cluttered it was like a maze trying to get out. Besides that I totally will be coming back another great date night

I have eaten at CB for decades from the east coast to the west coast and can only remember one bad experience. This was not it. Fast, friendly and tasty food and service.

The stuff was so nice and caring for what we ordered. We've got what we wanted and even more. Their special maple syrup was amazing. Another small bottle syrup we took home. And and was too much of food for me. But I shared with friends and I didn't need to take home. Thank you, Rebecca.

Bought a Thanksgiving dinner for 4. Extremely tasty, more than enough, and great packaging with instructions. The pickup was amazingly efficient.

I recently ate here and had a really good experience. The service was attentive and the waiting list moved quickly enough. I ordered Mama's Pecan Pancake Breakfast with a side of macaroni and cheese. As always, the food was excellent. Be sure to try the mac and cheese! I've been to many Cracker Barrel locations around the country and have never been disappointed.

Happy Valentine's Day. I took my mom to breakfast. It is super busy with a twenty minute wait. They were super fast and service is great. We ordered right away and the food arrived hot, fresh and amazing. We shared a Grandpa's breakfast with a side of pancakes. Yummy!

Seriously didn't know what to expect. Only disappointment was the menu change and my favorite is no longer on the menu. There were 3 of us. I had a breakfast at lunch which was very good. Our recent visit to Cracker Barrel started off rough — honestly, it was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Our original server ignored our table to chat with coworkers, forgot multiple items we ordered, and we ended up waiting over two hours just to get a salad. Thankfully, the manager came over, was very apologetic, and offered us a free meal for our next visit, which showed they truly cared about making things right. Most importantly, another server, Jaylen, stepped in even though it wasn’t his table. He not only took care of us but also managed several other tables around us, all while knowing he wouldn’t be tipped for the extra work. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail turned what could have been a completely negative experience into something redeemable. If it weren’t for Jaylen and the manager’s willingness to make it right, this review would be very different. I sincerely hope Cracker Barrel recognizes employees like him, because they’re the reason guests come back.

They had the impossible plant-base patties. Very flavorful and big, and tastes like pork but not really meat. Then they have chicken sausages too.

We used to dine at this restaurant, several times. We haven’t been here in a few months. The atmosphere has dwindled down and it looks dirty in the dining area. We had excellent service and we were satisfied with our server. We won’t be coming back for awhile.

My waiter did not come and service my table. Right as I was leaving a manager came and took my order. Th campside chicken meal wasn't good It was flavorless/ no seasoning, and too much liquid. The biscuit and cornbread was mediocre. They should have baked the chicken, carrots, and potatoes together. The chicken was very small. The salad and ice tea was good.

Our steaks were cooked perfectly but didn't care for the Hashbrown casserole. There was nothing wrong with just personal tastes. Next time I won't order my eggs over easy. Their version of over easy has very runny egg whites which is disgusting. Too bad the cooks interview process wasn't demonstrating the ability to cook eggs properly.

I think our waitress was overwhelmed, they were extremely busy. But she kept forgetting items that were part of our meal. Drinks, biscuits and gravy, take home containers. She brought the biscuits and gravy with a coffee pot, but forgot to fill up my husband’s coffee. Bringing our check before asking if we needed anything else. Which we’d told her earlier we were going to get a birthday dessert. And the take-home meals. We still tipped her 20%.

Cracker Barrel is a good place to get breakfast. We prefer it over IHOP or Dennys. We got there around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and were seated immediately. They place was packed, although it did not slow down our food delivery. The server was friendly. I tired one of their hashbrown casseroles and really enjoyed it. If you like your breakfast food all mixed together, give this dish a try. It was also very filling. My wife had the grandma's French toast sampler. She liked the French toast and the side of fried apples. Our granddaughter had the kid's mini confetti pancakes. Unfortunately, she was more interested in eating my wife's fried apples than her pancakes! It was a big plate of food for her with plenty to take home. Overall, you can't really go wrong with breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

The chicken fried steak has gotten quite a bit smaller over the years which is fine but you should be aware its not really big. The biscuits have got quite a bit smaller too over the years. They taste great but just small. The vibe is good always. Our busser did a great job too. He brought something my daughter left on the table. All in all we will keep coming. The last few times we came here our waitress/waiter have been very forgetful, quick, rushed, but still friendly. The food is always good and they're normally nice.

The worst experience ever with a waitress named flor. From attitude to attentiveness she was terrible. I don’t know if she was having a bad day but yelling at and mocking customers is unacceptable. We visited the Cracker Barrel in Harker Heights on Monday, January 13, around 6 PM. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The service was very slow, and some of our food arrived cold. Our server, Ray, was a new hire. She was friendly and did her best to ensure we were taken care of, but it still took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did, it wasn’t up to standard. My steak, which I requested medium, came out well done, and the chicken tenders weren’t as fresh as expected. My wife ordered the classic sampler, and our kids had meals from the kids' menu. It seemed like many staff members, including those in the kitchen and at the front, were in training, which likely contributed to the delays and inconsistencies. While I didn’t feel comfortable addressing the issues in person at the time, I wanted to share this feedback. We’ve had better experiences here in the past, particularly on busier weekends when the team seems more prepared. We’d love to return when the staff is better equipped to handle service. Thank you for considering this feedback.

I had the lemon pepper rainbow trout with 3 sides. Food was tasty and fresh. Our waitress was thoroughly observed but all the screaming kids reduced my experience. If you want to eat in a tranquil environment than this isn't the right place for you.

The food is pretty basic IMO. Everything needs more seasoning. The atmosphere/experience/and store makeup for it though. They're starting to set out Christmas stuff (super cute signs) and Halloween is out (not so cool...but most of it is day of the dead skulls and things).

I understand the reason for not getting the biscuits for free anymore when you come in, too many took advantage of it. But now you only get the ones you pay for with your meal! Like they are the biscuits police. This last visit made it so I have no desire to go back for a really long time.

Cracker Barrel is always a great go-to. The wait was ridiculously long after they told us it would be short to be seated. The wait for the food was pretty long too. The chicken blt was great. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the fries were awesome! Service was average.

Overrated the pancakes and cute bottle syrup the only reason they get a 3 star the best thing there. Ordered bacon it was so hard when u break it it crumbled the waiter sent it back brought it back way under cooked lol just took it off the order.

We absolutely love Cracker Barrel and have been loyal fans for years, but our last two visits have been really disappointing. My husband and I came in craving the comfort and quality we’ve come to expect, especially since it wasn’t even that busy. Unfortunately, we watched several tables who were seated after us get their food well before we did. When our meals finally arrived, we were hopeful they’d be worth the wait — but the food just wasn’t up to par. The sausages were dry and overcooked, and overall, it lacked that fresh, hearty feel we usually enjoy. Our server disappeared for a stretch, which added to the frustration, but to their credit, two other staff members stepped in and kindly kept our drinks topped off while we waited. I am not writing this out of anger — it’s just disappointing to have two lackluster experiences back-to-back at a place we’ve always loved. We’re still rooting for you, Cracker Barrel, but we really hope things improve. And maybe have a pep talk with your staff and cooks.

The country store gift shop always has neat stuff. Prices can be steep for certain merchandise. Dining experience was just ok. It was busy during breakfast hours so food came out a little slow. The biscuits were fresh. My casserole plate was hot to touch but food was at best lukewarm. French toast was hastily made and burnt.

My family and I have been this Cracker Barrel many times. It has been very good. Today's visit was a different story. I don't know if it was the restaurant as a whole or just our server. Our server seemed to not know what she was doing at her job. I realize that we are a family of 6, but I have never seen a server bring out 4 drinks then bring the other two 5 minutes later. I have also never seen a server bring out food at different intervals. Not have I seen a server take food to another table before the table you have been serving has their food. We had to ask the server for 5 sides that were ordered and not brought out. My daughter ordered a steak medium rare and got well done. My wife and asked for refills on sweet tea 20 minutes ago and still have not got them. Our server informed us they had to make more, it doesn't take 20 minutes to make tea. To top it all off we never got biscuits and cornbread, which I thought was a staple here. We will be back, but hope they improve drastically.

Terrible. The hottest plate brought out was for a toddler, too hot to touch while the cast iron skillet was cold. Chicken tasted like it was friend yesterday and reheated. Dry and bland. Unlike the grits, that were more water than grits. Ice cold sausage straight from the fridge didn’t instill confidence in the shrimp being cooked. After being sent back and returned the exact same plate 15 minutes after, everyone else was done eating, cut losses and went hungry. Not busy, no wait, no excuses. Also, the facade of the building is literally falling apart, so just as much care put into the establishment as there is the food.

Update: Cracker Barrel has since gone down in service and quality. I've been in the food service, so maybe I expect more than others. But chairs and tables should be cleaned without question, and silverware cleaned and before being put out for service. Tonight, we had a server who seemed to be new. She asked us several times to repeat our order. Fine. But then it went down hill from there. We are no stranger to waiting longer for our food as we are a larger family. But, when there are only 3 other tables seated, waiting for an extended period is a bit worrisome. Our server did not communicate with us or check on us while we waited for food. Then the server who did bring our food not only almost all the way leaned on the food as he handed it out, but he also shouted over the food to the other server helping him. I don't want me food talked over. I don't know about you all. So, now we have food but there are items missing. The chicken tenders are now bites for my children's meals. I understand it's fir kids, but understand we have been here so many times now, and they have never been this small. And each person, including my husband, have about 5 fries on their plates. No exaggeration. And my dish was missing items. Thus far, we've let things go as we don't know what is happening until we ask. Well, we get the server and ask about the chicken and she says, "They're always that size." Okay. Well we know they aren't but okay. We don't say anything more, and she offers to get another plate. Okay. Now she has an attitude. Remember, we haven't said anything to her, we've been polite. So then we ask her for some condiments and refills. In the meantime, I ask for a manager just to ask about the chicken tenders and the missing items. Before I can say anything, he notices my missing items. Then I ask about the chicken and he offers to get us more. Okay! I'm thinking everything is fine and corrected. Not. The server takes so long to get condiments and refills. I can't use silverware, which she knows, and she offered to get plasticware. So the food is cold by the time we get everything. She comes back with it all and throws the plasticware on the table. Oh no. Then the manager comes and almost drops my food onto the table because he's telling at someone else about seating people. Hmmm, okay. So we're just eating and going along, then the manager comes over and is like, "What else do you need?" Very sarcastic. We were confused. And then a waiter tells him not them and he yells, "Then who is it?" Oh my gosh. I'm shocked at this moment. Then a few minutes later, our server comes over and asks are we ready for the receipt. We are. Then she hands it to us and asks rudely, basically yelling at my husband, "Something else you need?" He was talking to me but I guess she thought he was talking to her? I don't know. Not acceptable either way. I was so done. I barely ate and took my dinner home. The service and treatment were just, I don't even know the words. I don't even think me typing this does justice to what we experienced. The host and the cashier were the best part of the night. We won't be going back for a while; maybe by then the staff will have either changed in who works there, or in how they work there. Also, they were supposedly having an inspection that wasn't going well. Not something you want to tell guests who are eating there. Anyway, I'm appalled, but honestly don't know how I'm feeling. I still can't believe tonight. The audacity and sheer chaos of the restaurant and management. I never cared for Crackers Barrel, but the one in Killeen has been on point. Except for this last time....we've only been there four times, but I was so looking forward to this time. Those pancakes are usually so good and buttery, and crispy on the edges. I don't usually need a lot of syrup at all. These had no flavor, were so dry! I used the whole bottle on one and it was still dry. I was so disappointed. We're gonna stay away for a bit, maybe they just had an off day. But if you go there, you'll be so lucky if you get Donald the server!

Always go here and they are really good but today was different. The people are always really nice and generous and I ordered my food and waited. So I think the chefs checked their brains at the door today cause when I got my food my hashbrown casserole was cold and my chicken fried chicken was still clucking. I mean really? It was raw completely raw. They ended up fixing it and not charging but just be careful when ordering the chicken fried chicken..... it might cluck at you.

I’ve always considered this restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 — reliable food, consistent quality, and a place I’ve felt good about recommending to others. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a real disappointment, especially because I brought a friend who had never been there before. I had been talking it up, only to have us wait nearly an hour for our food. What made it worse was that several other groups, who arrived well after us, received their meals ahead of us. We ordered something simple, so the delay was confusing and frustrating. I eventually asked for a manager, who did come over, apologized, and expedited our order. While I appreciated the gesture, the damage was done — it was embarrassing to hype up a place and then experience poor service like that, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even particularly busy. It seems like, as with many places these days, service quality has become a bit of a gamble. A lot of the good, experienced staff have moved on, and it feels like restaurants are left filling positions with people who may not have the same level of care or attentiveness. It’s a shame because this place used to feel much more polished and dependable. That being said, the food is still good and arrives hot — when it finally gets to the table. If they could tighten up the service and return to the standards they once had, it could easily be a 5-star experience again. For now, it’s hit or miss, and sadly this visit was a miss.

Usually when we come here, the service is pretty fast and the food is wonderful. This time, the service was not great. My boyfriend and I waited 20 or so minutes for a refill, the only refill we got the whole time we were there btw. The server only came to our table twice without being called to, and while we were ordering we asked him what was in the hash brown casserole, his response was “uhh…cheese?…” idk, just didn’t seem very well trained or prepared at all to serve a table. On top of all that, my boyfriend ordered a medium rare steak, pictured is what he received the first time. I’m usually not one to complain, but that seems a bit ridiculous.

I'm really disappointed in a place we have trusted to get the best food in town 😒 For some years now, my husband and I have eaten here, and have never had service like we have had recently received. On 3 occasions we have ordered through Doordash the chicken dinner. March 23rd it was amazing so amazing we wanted to order again. March the 24th we ordered the same thing. This time it came fried so hard we tried our best to eat it but it was so dry. Yes we could have brought it back but, my husband and I was so tired after a hard days work to venture back out. We forced ourselves to eat what was edible. Today April 12th we ordered again the same thing. We were both hoping we would get that same great taste from March 23rd. And we both thought to ourselves that Cracker Barrel the place we love could not possibly mess the chicken order up twice. It happens again it was so dry this time I had to stop trying to eat it just so I could write ✍️ this review. Today we wanted to bring it back but it is raining and storming flooding with tornadoes 🌪 touching down. Who ever made this chicken should be ashamed 😤 because I know for sure if my husband and I would have dined in this would not have been exceptable. I have ordered Christmas dinners and everything thing. Now I don't think I will ever eat here again 😕

Waiting 5 minutes at the hostess stand as employees walk back and forth not even engaging with me and my partner. Customer service was lacking for sure. We just up and left after a few more minutes

Disappointing experience. We asked if there was meat in the gravy and was reassured there was not. The gravy does contain bacon. We returned the gravy and order a salad instead that didn’t arrive until everyone was done eating so someone in our group did not get to eat lunch. The chicken fried chicken came out without gravy on it. The kids burgers were well over cooked. Drink refills were not provided. The atmosphere was loud and crowded. There was vomit in the bathroom sink. A manger was informed of the situation so she came to the table. We informed her of all the other issues and only received a generic apology. Only 1 out of 5 meals was correct and yummy.

I recently visited Cracker Barrel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. My sausages were served undercooked, and after expressing my concern — especially since I am pregnant — the staff agreed to prepare a new batch. I specifically requested that they be well done to ensure they were fully cooked. However, the replacement sausages were even more undercooked than the first batch. When I brought this to their attention again, the young lady assisting me informed me that the cook said this was “the best they could do.” This response was not only unacceptable but also concerning given the health risks involved. I expected greater care and understanding, particularly when it comes to food safety. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue to prevent similar experiences for other guests in the future.

Took forever to get seated, ordered fried chicken with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese with country gravy. Mashed potatoes were like wallpaper paste, and the Mac and cheese had a strange flavor I couldn't pinpoint on top of the snot-like consistency. A child in our party ordered the kid's cereal breakfast (fruity pebbles) and it arrived at least 20 minutes after the remainder of the table received their food. The fried chicken was dry & only seasoned with an overabundance of salt & hardly any pepper. Very unsatisfied. Cool gift shop though.

Do not arrive early. Whole crew just forget professionalism. However by around 10 am they wake up smell the coffee, realize they are no better than what burger employees across. Far better service. If you want good food bad service goto Barrels early. Decent food great service cross the bridge to the burger place.

We had the worst experience today. It started with no one coming to our table for 10 minutes. Then our waitress came to take our drink and food order. She advised that food would take 20 to 25 minutes. I had coffee and had to waive her down for refills as we waited 45 minutes for our food. The waitress then said she would comp my meal and get me more coffee. Then 2 minutes later, her manager came to us. We both had mouthfuls and proceeded to ask how was everything. We only had 1 bite. I then told her there was a long wait for the food. She said ok and then asked the waitress if this was the table. My food was luke warm but his food was hot and fresh. I guess since I didn't complain about the food, there was no comping. I didn't say anything else to the manager because I assumed what the waitress said about the comping was true. After the manager left, the waitress said I was trying to get that comped for y'all. It was not comped. The waitress said it was the cooks fault for the food taking so long, but if that were true, the tables sat after us would not have gotten their food. Our waitress barely interacted with us until the very end where she tried sparking up a conversation even though he was still eating. She asked if we had kids and when we told her no, she then brought up infertility like it was nothing. I would have thought a basket of biscuits and cornbread would have been brought to thr table during the waiting. I thought the manager knew about the wait. She was completely unapologetic about it. The strained conversation of fake pleasantries was over the top. We will not be going back to this location.

I take my family to Cracker Barrel. My wife LOVES Cracker Barrel. After being seated immediately we get a wonderful waitress, T was her name, she takes our order promptly. After waiting 40 min and seeing multiple people come and go, my kids food finally shows up (both got tenders and fries, I know it can’t take that long even if they had been busy). After being told the manager is gonna come see me we wait another 15 before I go get the manager. My wife and I’s food shows up while the manager comes out and I explain the situation. The manager (who acts as if my asking for her is such a drag(after being told she would come long before)) doesn’t help at all and frankly is rude. Says oh well we will only charge you for the kids. Ma’am the food took so long my youngest was in literally tears watching people who came after us eat. Come to find out my waitress had to go cook my food. My waitress was wonderful. That manager needs to be checked by the owners because when I tell you my family will never walk into that Cracker Barrel again I mean it. That wait staff is probably the only reason that manager looks decent at her job. Not to mention someone had a “service dog” sitting at a table like a person.

Just got food to go, I always check food before leaving, but was in a rush this time, wish I should have, thanks a lot for these burnt a*^ pancakes, disgusting, lucky I live to far away or I will bring these and throw them back on the counter. We didn’t get the extra that we ordered, just because it’s To-go, stop giving people reheated freaking food, you think most people don’t notice we do, it’s horrible, this will not happen next time.

I decided to try this Cracker Barrel one more time as they have been bad in the past, I shouldn't have. I ordered a loaded bake potato which is pretty hard to screw up, not for these cooks. The potato was hard and the bacon was uncooked. I showed it to Sarah the manager who stood by my table giving me a look of "how dare I show her this". She said that the bacon doneness depended on who was "digging through it"! REALLY? It's either cooked and safe for human consumption or it isn't, plain and simple and hard potatoes evidently aren't a problem for her either. When I told her I didn't want or have time to try another one, she reached across my table, grabbed my plate, grabbed my receipt and crumbled it up and through it while speaking as she walked away. With all the restaurants complaining about having the staff needed to operate, maybe they should start with looking for management that knows how to operate a restaurant. You can have all the staff (good or bad) you need and it won't make a bit of difference if your management doesn't care about your customers. Without customers you're all going to be out of a job, NO CUSTOMERS, NO RESTAURANT! I hope Harker Heights,TX is one of the many Cracker Barrel restaurants being closed, they are waste of valuable real-estate.

I never write reviews and I’ve worked Cracker Barrel before for 3 years. Jalib was our service and it was the worst service ever. Dropped our food of with missing items and never seen him again. Had to stop him for a Togo box and after 20 mins we never got it. The fish was great but 2 pieces stuck together in the fryer and the breading was still wet where they were stuck. I felt bad asking it to be recooked so we just left. Love Cracker Barrel and won’t stop coming but I think our server needs to work 2 tables he had way too many tables to handle.

Update 4/23/2025. I was hoping for a better experience so I could update my review as the last was not the best. FORGOT MY BISCUTS AND CORNBREAD! ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS FORGETTING SOMETHING ON CARRYOUT. At least they didn't check it on their checklist this time. (see pic) Now I see they just dont care about the checklist. Wrong ham, wrong syrup, wrong butter. Why do you offer the options online if your just going to give me what you feel like giving me? The online ordering or curbside is pretty consistent in getting the order wrong. The ticket is correct, its on my receipt, does anyone read it? They put little marks by the items (see pic) but it obviously doesn't mean it was checked. Checkmark by "maple" syrup, I received strawberry syrup. Checkmark by "butter", I did get butter but the online portal gives you the option of whipped butter which is the best but it was ignored and checked. If there is a default it should be for whipped butter. You should get whipped butter even when you don't ask for it, its the only reason I get pancakes from Cracker Barrel. The ham, I checked the option for sugar ham, I received the salty mess of country ham, I am sure some like it and I even do on certain days but I didn't want it today, THATS WHY I CHECKED SUGAR HAM.

We ate there last night my beans and greens have no seasoning at all. I received some dried up pot roast with salty brown gravy on top and no carrots. I'm really disappointed because normally my foods good from here. Very disappointed this time.

The service we received was fantastic from the new hire. Thank you! The food was horrible if you order anything that isn’t breakfast. My carrots were flavorless and water logged. You can literally squeeze liquid from the mushy carrots. The broccoli cheddar casserole was cold dry old looking and flavorless also. My husband ordered the Friday Fish Fry that was supposed to come with 4 pcs of whitefish, he received two pcs. We asked the waitress about it and she went to go check and came back with two small corner pcs of fish that looked totally different from what was originally on his plate. The manager chalked it up to being fried a little hard but it was obvious. I should’ve recorded the conversation with the manager to post on here too. Needless to say we will not be coming back to give our hard earned money for good service with horrible horrible food. I think my 9yr old could’ve prepared the food better.

2023: Hot mess. Avoid this place. Sat down, and the table had long hair on it. Nothing was wiped down. Later, we discovered why. Waitress was attentive at first and then went off to space. Ordered an Appetizer and it didn't arrive. Food took forever. When our food showed up, we asked the staff who delivered our food where the appetizer was. He didn't see it listed and said he would go find out. He also told me he thought they were making me more gravy since my small bowl was nearly empty and gravy all over the outside of the bowl. My mom ordered chicken and dumplings. Her green beans and carrots were in the bowl with it! Green beans juice mixed with her chicken and dumplings. Nasty. Several minutes later, heard a female staff ask the table behind us (who hadn't even ordered yet) if they ordered cheese curds. They said no and the staff started walking across the restaurant. I called out for her, and then the table behind us did too. The staff came over with it. I began to move our plates out of the way so she could put it down, and she set it on my hand! Literally! She squished my hand. She apologized, but who does that? We were almost done, and the waitress brought us out biscuits & corn bread! Our meal was practically over with, why bother? She also took 10 plus minutes for me to get a refill after she asked me if I wanted a refill. That was frustrating. Cashier was super soft-spoken, and we couldn't understand her at all.** **While there, we witnessed a female staff "cleaning" tables. No cleaning spray was used. Just a wipe across the table with a dirty rag! I was repulsed. This is so unsanitary. Items on the table should all be wiped down with cleaning product or replaced out to be wiped in the back. Super gross! I didn't get pictures of everything. I was so angry by this point, I just wanted to leave. --*-- My 2022 review: Waitress was very attentive. Food was decent but nothing to "write home to mom about". The grits were a cross between cream of wheat and grits. My scrambled eggs were not pleasant on the eyes, however, they were edible. Biscuits and gravy weren't too bad.

I honestly tried to avoid leaving a review because I love eating here. My husband and I usually come once a week. For 3 weeks straight our pancakes have been undercooked. We asked for well done, I personally don’t like raw food. The waitress was nice but after she dropped the check didn’t check in I think she was trying to avoid asking if everything was okay. Why should I tip a person that half does there job. Isn’t the waitress supposed to check the food before they bring the food out it makes no sense. I haven’t been able to ask for a manager yet. Sad unfortunately we want be coming back for a while.
