The best food we’ve had in Tucson. Reasonably priced. Absolutely delicious. Outstanding service. I hesitate to rave as the place in very busy. Reservations needed

We were looking for a nice local restaurant after our womens retreat was over (I was the mc). All of our party was visiting from out of town. Our Air Bnb recommended Tito & Pep and a few others. I chose them and glad I did. I made reservations and on the way reviewed the menu with everyone in the car. Our party started having mixed feelings about what they were hearing on the menu. It wasn't normal Mexican food dishes and seemed too different. We got there and were seated. Our server was professional and attentive. We asked for dish recommendations from the server. Then needed further explanation of what are in the dishes and it all sounded like a lot of wierd ingredients that would not pair well together. The ladies were like...Andrew, what have you done! The server asked if we wanted to try any appetizers...we were all starving. Reservations were late due to availability...it was a Friday night and they were busy. We got the Queso Fundido and Steak Skewer appetizers..both were excellent and started changing our minds about this place. The steak skewers were so tender and savory. They had this amazing glaze to dip the steak in. We all ordered dishes then decided to start sharing eachothers dishes so we could all sample them. Each dish was so different but amazing. The ingredients were fresh and so much flavor. The food felt healthy and refreshing. We shared the dark chocolate ganche for dessert. It was sooo good! Our guests made comments about how they will have to make a trip back to Tucson just to eat at Tito & Peps.

best meal i have had in tucson. the service was wonderful and the food was good! the space is beautiful and there are lots of intentional little things peppered throughout. definitely glad we stopped here // wished there were more veggie options, but overall everything was really nice.

Shared a fantastic meal with my son on our first night in Tucson. This will be hard to beat! The cocktails were inventive and delicious. We shared the special Hamachi appetizer which had a delicate smoky flavor and really loved it. I had the best Octopus entree. Very tender and flavorful. My son had a tender pork chop that was also perfectly seasoned and cooked. We finished with a fantastic Rosemary Olive oil cake topped with pistachios and Luxardo cherries-divine! Our server was exceptional and the experience was amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal tonight and most certainly will return. The service and food were superb and we loved the ambiance as well. I would have posted my drink - the La Última Palabra, but was a tad blurry.

Made a reservation a few weeks in advance. This was my first time to Tucson and reading other reviews made me decide to try this place. Service was great. Does have a limited menu but the food was delicious. The cocktails were just as good as the food. We ordered queso fundido, sea of Cortez shrimp and steak skewers. The queso fundido and shrimp were my favorite.

When you speak about Tucson food there is history and connection to place that should be in every bite. Chef John Martinez has taken his roots of being born in Arizona, his Mexican heritage, then learn in New York to absolutely amaze with his dishes now. It's fresh ingredients with quality care in combining them. His mole blanco with charred asparagus was such a beautiful blend of flavor and style. The mushrooms tostadas were savory and balanced. You left feeling like you ate good an felt great. Not like some restaurants where you want to take an immediate nap afterwards. The bar is perfectly stocked with quality spirits with local brands sprinkled in. The mezcal selection is on point with features from the Mexican Family Owned Mezcal Carreño. Delicious cocktails to sip on through your Culinary Journey! Highly recommend!

Great food, excellent service and cute #MCM vibe. Cocktails are hand crafted and reasonably priced. Dessert was amazing! Pannacota is so good...and chocolate ganache was one of the best #glutenfree chocolate desserts I have had.

The roasted artichoke was the best artichoke we have every had. Flavor was throughout the meat and all the way into the stem. Next we had the SEA BASS CRUDO (salsa negra, cucumber, radish, avocado, chicharrones, sesame) that was so delicate with wonderful seasoning. Next we had the ROASTED SQUASH SALAD (queso fresco, tomatillo, pickled onion, pepitas) that you can see being prepared on the AZ public program about Tito and Pep. Everyone says you should have the QUESO FUNDIDO (mushrooms, beef chorizo, flour tortillas) and they were spot on. Perfectly cooked with tortillas that were wonderful. Next the STEAK SKEWERS (chipotle-tomatillo salsa, cotija, cilantro) that could melt in your mouth. For dessert we had the BUTTERMILK PANNA COTTA (pineapple compote, passionfruit syrup, fresh berries, mint) at Tito's and took home the DARK CHOCOLATE GANACHE (dulce de leche, candied orange, almond, whipped cream) which were both fantastic. On our second trip in four days we repeated the QUESO FUNDIDO and SEA BASS CRUDO. The CHARRED & CHILLED BROCCOLI (pickled chilies, orange, toasted almonds, citrus emulsion) and GRILLED PEAR & RADICCHIO SALAD (apple, hazelnut, blue cheese, spiced cider vinaigrette) were wonderful new additions. The trout special was our entrée and it was so delicate and flavorful it is hard to describe. Service was perfect and the wine list was nice. One of our top restaurants.

Great local restaurant. You might want to make a reservation. This place can get very busy. The food here is outstanding. The service and the staff are excellent. They have a small menu but the selectiins are really good. There is plenty of parking and the location is easy to find using Google Maps.

Wow. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in here but immediately the decor stood out and the interior design welcomes you into this unexpected modern space. A stark contrast to the neighboring businesses. Service was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and the food was some of the best I've had in recent memory, and that's including trips to NYC and Seoul. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly medium as requested and were a total flavor bomb. The octopus was also cooked perfectly. The queso fundido was guilty cheesy pleasure food with tasty mushrooms. I hear there is a brunch menu and I'm excited to come back and try it.

This is my favorite neighborhood spot to indulge in delicious cuisine. Chef John Martinez curates an excellent food and beverage program. Every dish I’ve had here has been stellar. Highly recommend the Octopus, Steak Bites, Calamari, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the dishes on offer. The team is friendly and knowledgeable. Their cocktail and spirits and wine lists are equally impressive. Behind the bar, Nevin is a warm, welcoming shining star! The mid century modern design and relaxed ambiance make it an easy environment to spend an evening in. We are very fortunate to have such a world class restaurant right around the corner form our home. Bravo Chef Martinez and team! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This place was so delicious! It came from a recommendation from a friend, but it was a wonderful date night. I'm really not a seafood person but we tried the octopus and it was incredible. We also tried the pork chop and a shrimp bowl similar to ceviche. All was excellent! Their dessert was very creative as well, using such interesting spices to provide a savory/sweet flavor. All in all a VERY good experience. If you go I recommend dressing up a little because the atmosphere is like dressy casual, very quiet. 11/10 would recommend and come back!

Very delightful experience and everything we order is delicious. Besides the grilled octopus, the masa dumplings with the Sea of Cortez shrimp is fantastic.

This was the first place we went on our visit to Tuscon, Arizona. We made a last minute reservation and were greeted kindly. The atmosphere was busy, but service was well paced. Our server was very nice and took very good care of us, even complimenting my hurried makeup I did in less than an hour. The food was wonderful. We had porkchops, fundido, and octopus. The fundido was my favorite as it was served in a mini skillet and had this beautiful crust of cheese. The octopus was cooked perfectly, no rubbriness with slight bite back. The porkchop with that sauce they serve it with was bright and rustic. For dessert we had Panna cotta and chocolate ganach. The ganach, though well made, wasn't my favorite as it was textbook and not innovative, the orange took over when it was present and whatever was on the bottom added nothing, i can't even remember what it was. The Panna cotta, however, was superb. It was light, colorful, and contained a multitude of flavors to play with like raspberry, mint, and pineapple, just gorgeous. We washed everything down with Jamaican lemonade, something I wish i could take a gallon of home! All in all, it was a wonderful experience deserving 5 stars.

Went here with a few friends about a week ago and everything was great! Our server was very friendly and had a lot of good information about dishes on the menu. I got the Grilled Baja Striped Bass and it was delicious! The skin was crispy, the fish tasted very rich, and the lemony flavors on the plate combined beautifully with the fish. I would definitely recommend it. For desert I shared the Dark Chocolate Ganache and it was just the right amount for 3 people, which was a welcome surprise. The chocolate was incredibly rich, and the whipped cream was a delectable addition. Another great recommendation from me. All in all, fantastic place to dine with very high quality food for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend eating here.

Had an awesome meal here. Walking in on a Thursday night late the place was packed but they were able to seat us. Feels trendy with upbeat music and decor. Really great and layered flavor combinations, we had the octopus, the sea bass crudo and the steak skewers. The Crudo was really excellent! Not too expensive, great quality for the price. Unique eatery with a delicious menu. Recommend sampling many of the smaller dishes, 4 was perfect for two people. One of the best restaurants in Tucson so far, will definitely come again.

The grilled octopus is delicious and makes for a perfect dinner paired with the calamari. The chocolate ganache dessert is also beautifully balanced and a great way to end a meal. Charming dining establishment with an inviting atmosphere, excellent waitstaff, and great food! The place is busy even on weekday nights so I recommend calling ahead.

Dining experience was lovely. The wait staff attended us promptly and were friendly. We tried several small plates and were delighted with the flavors. The chili crunch on the octopus was brilliant. The hamachi special was also sublime. Glad we came!

No review I could write would sum up how amazing this experience was. I have eaten at overnight pop ups in Seattle, and restaurants with Michelin-stars in Paris, but this blazing ember of ingenuity and flavor-layering may be the best restaurant I’ve ever been fortunate enough to visit. Try everything. Especially the seafood. And the drinks are a perfect complement to any food ordered. Their boulevardier will transport you back a hundred years. And the panna cotta is pure revelry. If they have it, order the Hamachi crudo in coconut milk. It may be the single most delicious thing I’ve ever had. My only critique would be just to clean the octopus a little more. There was some slimy skin still in ours, but with a bit of scraping, it was so wonderful. The oils and seasonings that accompanied it were amazing and the actual cook of the meat was nearly perfect. Even with that small nit, this still tops my memory of my favorite outings and I look forward to enjoying the wonderful menus that Chef Martinez will create.

I’ve been here twice and the food is amazing. I’ve not ordered anything I didn’t like. The drinks are such a treat. You may not get seated if you don’t have a reservation but it’s worth making one. The service is great every time.

Tito & Pep deserves every bit of recognition it’s received both locally and nationally, including honors as a James Beard semifinalist and a top-50 restaurant in the US. The menu is small and well curated — locally sourced ingredients and fresh seasonal fare reign here. The eggplant agrodolce is an original and just shines, as does the grilled octopus, which was tender and well seasoned. The striped bass and pork chop were tasty mains — plentiful and well portioned, leaving us just enough room for dessert. Well worth it too, since the olive-oil cake and ganache are excellent indulgent ends to the meal. Service was consistently good...the server was present but not hovering, and the ambience of the busy dining room on a Sunday night made it clear that we’re not the only ones who appreciate this place. One small bit of feedback might be that such a trendy space deserves fresher music in the background. All around, Tito & Pep is a true gem...can’t wait to go back!

We loved our lunch at Tito and Pep! The food was so incredibly delicious. We ordered the roasted carrots, the roasted broccoli and the calamari. My daughter and I shared all three and it was the perfect amount for lunch. I loved that they had a sparkling rosé cava on the list and my daughter had the Jamaica Dove. As soon as we left we were trying to figure out when we can return! The service from Adam was fantastic too!

We were there for brunch. The food was really fresh and delicious. Flavors are well balanced. Atmosphere was really trendy and cool, with a ton of natural light, mixed textures, plants, and a mid-century modern nod. Service was attentive. Overall, I'd recommend.

The food was delicious. The server gave us good advice on what to order. Their chef can cook! Flavors on the Sea Bass crudo appetizer, pork chop & striped bass were amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant for a great date night meal

Tito and Pep is our go to place for a special celebration in Tucson. We love the innovative menu and the modern industrial vibe. Our last visit was for our 26th wedding anniversary. On the reservation I noted that it was our anniversary, and they seated us in a romantic corner table. We could hold hands while looking out the window at the sunset. We started off with cocktails (I ordered my favorite the Saguaro Blossom) both were delicious, and then moved on to a French rosé recommended by our waitress. We were pleasantly surprised by both the price and the quality of the wine. For appetizers, we ordered the Hamachi aqua Chile, the Seabass Crudo, and a roasted squash salad. Everything was excellent. I was particularly impressed with the complex flavor of the roasted squash salad. For dinner we had the trout special, and the pork. Both were out of this world. For dessert we had the panna cotta and chocolate ganache. I am not a particularly fan of chocolate desserts, but was pleasantly surprised with the lightness of the ganache coupled with the cream. The panna cotta was out of this world with a passionfruit sauce and pineapple. So light and fresh and perfect. The service was excellent. Truly a world-class restaurant. (We are San Francisco transplants who travel extensively so when I say world class I mean it.)

Second time here and this place still rocks my socks off. Food and drinks are phenomenal. Service is great. Vibes are vibing. My only issue is they always serve wine in a regular lowball glass and I always have to request it in a regular stemmed wine glass - they have a great wine list too!

N

Everything was absolutely phenomenal! Originally traveled to the area for a different restaurant, which ended up being on vacation. As a walk in, we got a spot at the bar. The bartender Britt was astounding. She gave us the greatest recommendations on menu and drink options, and local recommendations to other spots to tag as a tourist. Every dish ordered was out of this world. Highly recommend to any/everyone. Such great food and vibes. The panacatta desert is officially the best desert I've ever had

Creative cuisines, rich yet balanced flavor. Great for dating & friends catchup. - Octopus 4/5 tender in a pepper flaky sauce. Salsa macha not so impressive - Mesquite pork chop: very good 5/5 - NY strip 5/5 hard to believe salsa and full grilled onion goes so well with steak - rosemary and orange olive oil cake 4/5 pretty good. Surprised that this cake and creme are not so sweet (in a good way) Great service and lovely setting!

I came in on a Sunday night and it was packed. At first things got off to a bad start the service was a little slow and my drink which was a makeshift mock tail took forever to come. Once the calamari which was my app came out. It was excellent. Then my Sea of Cortez shrimp came out and it was too spicy for my liking. So instead we put in a plane order of shrimp on the grill. It might have been some of the best shrimp I’ve ever had! For dessert I had the dark chocolate ganache. It was all good! The waiter was so friendly and really nice! I would definitely recommend. Just be warned that service can be slightly slow.

Serving a blend of tapas-sized plates and tasty cocktails, this popular spot offers a modern gastropub-influenced experience. The meat was tender and flavors were rich. We ate at the bar since no tables were available for several hours. There’s an adjacent parking lot with dedicated spots. Service was friendly and nicely paced. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Recommended (with reservation).

Had a fantastic experience for dinner here last visit to Tucson! The cocktail drinks were delightful and not too sweet. Crudo appetizer with aguachile tasted very fresh, the shrimp entree was savory and warming, and the pork chop succulent with a perfect amount of char. Will definitely return! The service was outstanding - friendly yet not overwhelming. Great ambiance.

Tucson is a foodie town... And this pairs up perfect with me. There are many (and I do mean MANY) great restaurants in town but in my 4 month "try them all" eating extravaganza.... Tito and Pep ... takes the TOP spot for my favorite meal!! Great staff and best service that I had anywhere in Tucson. There was so much love with the food but one dish definitely stands out.. the Whole Snapper!! It is an experience that makes my mouth water right now ...as I am writing this review. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Love this restaurant! We were there during dinner time and it was already full. Luckily we got a reservation! Food tasted amazingly delicious! You can tell they cook with hearts! They were so delicious I forgot to take a picture of them. Overall highly recommended for date night, family gatherings, ladies night!

Brilliantly creative dishes that reflect a Southwest touch on New American cuisine. All expertly delivered by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not the most intimate environment for private conversation, but beautiful decor in a relatively small footprint. Highly recommend.

What an astounding find! If you read the other reviews you'll understand that Tito and Pep is a one-of-a-kind experience. The cuisine, the service, the drink menu, and the atmosphere all blend together for a grand feast. We began our delightful meal with the Crispy Calamari. It was intensely perfect and the batter was light and superbly tasty. For our entrees we ordered the Sea of Cortez Shrimp and the Mesquite Grilled Pork Chop. Taking turns tasting both dishes, my lady friend and I agreed that it would be difficult to place one ahead of the other because they were so excellent on their own. Still, I'd have to say that the Pork Chop, with a barely crispy edge and wonderful sauce, was one of the best dishes I've ever had, anywhere. Like a previous interviewer mentioned, this cuisine stands apart from almost any local competitor and could easily be an award-winning selection should Michelin drop by. The servers worked as a seamless team and though we had a primary waitress, the emphasis on making the diner's experience peaceful was obviously a deep part of their shared strategy. No less than 4 of their crew serviced our table at different moments and very stealthily as to not be too present. A turn of your head and small gesture would bring someone instantly to provide whatever was needed and with courtesy and a smile, I might mention. Way ahead of most restaurant service just as the cuisine is far beyond others as well. We will be back and will spread the good word.

L

Food was top notch. We got the crispy calamari which had just the right balance of coating to sea food. We also got the seasonal special swordfish and the steak. The swordfish was cooked perfectly. Flavor was incredible. It was tender and peeled off by fork and was a thick slab. Definitely worth the $$$. Although the food took a little to come out, it was hot and well worth the wait. It was packed on a Sunday for being there near opening. I HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation in advance. We made ours the day before super easily through open table. Even though it was busy, noise levels were fine. Biggest downside is their two tops are close together, so you feel slightly on top of the party next to you. Overall vibes inside was that it was bright and modern with just the right amount of quirkiness to make it unique. Would be fun to do a celebration dinner here, or bring in people from out of town! Highly recommend dining here if you’re able :)

A delicious and surprising meal recommended to me by several who’d been in Tucson. It’s a nicer dinner that I found to be well priced and actually cheaper than many downtown restaurants. The food tasted so good, too. Had a drink and my friend and I ordered separate things so we had many dishes to taste between us. The best, being the special, which was scallops and they were divine. I eat a lot of seafood and this was a highlight. The mango and raspberry desert was also (insert Hallelujah Chorus here).

Truly a gem of Tucson. This was our first visit, so we didn't know what to expect. Based on meals at other highly regarded Tucson restaurants I didn't expect much, to be honest. Frankly, we were blown away. Everything we ordered was delicious, and a few items were truly something else. We ordered the charred broccoli expecting a fairly straightforward, and basic, starter. What we got was a dish of such complexity that we were taken aback. Another highlight was the rosemary olive oil cake. Usually olive oil cake is one of those hip menu items that never lives up to the hype. This cake was the exception. It was so moist and flavorful. When I took a bite with the cake, cream, and dark maraschino cherries (Luxardo?), it was a mouthful of heaven. We seriously considered extending our stay in Tucson one more day simply to return for dinner tomorrow. Alas, it was unrealistic. But we do plan on stopping in the next time we're in town. 10/10

Came here because it was on Yelp’s Top 100 2025 list and it did not disappoint. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. Excellent wine list glass and bottle. We each had a wine with our meal. Nice salad P&T salad really nice prepared. We had their special which was a roasted chicken (pollo asada) which was deboned and mesquite grilled in ancho chili and egg plant and was excellent. Alex our waiter was excellent and very knowledgeable regarding the menu. He also recommended a favorite desert which we had was excellent. See pictures. Great atmosphere restaurant with nice low jazz music in background. Nice and clean bathrooms. The manager also came by and visited our table which was a nice touch. Glad to see this was a semi finalist in the John Beard award for restaurants. Been to Tucson for many years and for some reason never visited this but glad to find it now. Will definitely return here next time we visit Tucson. Thank you T & P.

The service here was fantastic. They accommodated our 20 person group with a one day warning. The staff recognized one of our members that came a few days before. The Jamaica lemonade was too sour for my taste (and not sweet enough to balance that sourness). The queso fundido was very greasy and heavy, but if you share it and just eat one taco, it was pretty good. The cheesy is nice and crisped against the pan, with lots of mushrooms and a tiny bit of stewed beef chunks. The hamachi special was fantastic. It had like a cantaloupe sauce served with the slices of fish, and together, they were fantastic. The steak skewers were a little bit mixed -- some chunks had a nice heavy char, while others were cooked but not really charred. The parmesan cheese worked surprisingly well with it, and the sauce was good with it, though a little salty. The cucumber salad special wasn't my thing. There was a crudo or tartare that they brought out by accident, and it looked fantastic. I now wish I had gotten that, haha. There was a charred octopus that was lacking that springy chewiness I enjoy from octopus tentacles. Theirs was tender, which I can understand that others may like more. Eaten together with the cherry tomatoes and avocado with a squirt of lime is the best way! Me and three companions did not like the pozole, but one of our companions liked it. It didn't really taste yummy or special to me. The striped sea bass was okay. It was cooked well, with a nice crispiness to the skin with tender fillet meat, but the sauce was way too salty, and without the sauce, it was plain. The mushrooms were way too salty. I liked the crispy things on top, but if you ordered this as an entree, it would just be a salt overload. I unfortunately can't recommend this dish. The chicken was okay. The sauce it was served with was good. I like the creamed corn thing and Swiss chard served with it. The Panna Cotta dessert was amazing. It's got like a greek yogurt flavor, but it's very smooth and silky. It's served with a sour and sweet passionfruit sauce that's fantastic when eaten with all of the desserts. The chocolate and cream ganache was interesting. It was a very dark chocolate with semi sweetness. By itself, I wouldn't have liked it much, but if you dip it in the passionfruit sauce served with the Panna cotta, then it has a nice balance of heavy, dark, flavors with the intensely sour and sweet passionfruit. The olive oil orange cake was okay. It did have a heavy orange zesty flavor, but it just didn't really hit the spot for me. Overall, the flavors and service here were solid, and they had the best food of the limited foods I've tried in my Tucson trip.

Came twice over a couple of months and Tito and Pep stood out as the best dining experience during my time in Tucson. Alex was our server on both occasions and he is an outstanding guide to the dining experience, providing great recommendations and demonstrating a clear mastery of the menu. On the first visit, we shared the Hamachi Aguachile and Squash salad and then the Pork Chop and Striped Bass. Every dish was excellent, perfectly prepared with delightful combinations of flavors and textures that elevated the complexity of the dish. The Sonoran flavors and woodfired grill were showcased across the meats. The chocolate Ganache was a great uniquely presented dessert that was also delicious. On the second visit, we shared the steak skewers, octopus and beet salad, then each had the New York Strip and then finished with the Olive Oil Cake and Panna Cotta. Again, every dish was excellent, full of unique flavors and perfectly prepared. The desserts were outstanding. The restaurant is a beautiful space with plants around the space, often dividing the dining spaces, while feeling airy and open. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is on point. Great cocktails with creative mixology and an affordable wine list. You will likely need a reservation, but if you are in Tucson, I highly recommend Tito & Pep.

Our first time at Tito and Pep, May 24, 2025. Made reservations for 5:30. Reservations are highly recommended. Open dining room concept with a plethora of living plants and windows!!The service is fantastic! The is food absolutely delicious from the yellow tail appetizer to the stripped bass to the steak to the rosemary, olive oil and orange cake!! We WILL be returning and with family! And a great place to bring out of town guests. This definitely reflects Tucson and its culinary “Old Pueblo” flare!!

Would highly recommend making sure you make a reservation; this place is very busy, and we can see why! Everything we ordered was delicious. I came here with a craving for olive oil cake — and let me tell you, this place exceeded all expectations from start to finish. The entire meal was outstanding. From the vibrant cocktails and fresh, herb-loaded salad to perfectly grilled fish, juicy chicken, and flavorful beef skewers, every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high quality, and the flavors were bold, balanced, and memorable. And that olive oil cake? Absolutely divine — moist, fragrant, topped with crushed pistachios and cherries, and paired with a luscious scoop of cream. It was everything I hoped for and more. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you’re in Tucson and looking for a culinary experience that delivers on flavor, presentation, and service — Tito & Pep should be at the top of your list.

Fun evening at Tito and Pep! The DIY Red Snapper taco bar was on the special menu, and its presentation is definitely a show stopper! The snapper is dredged and deep fried, served with flour and corn tortillas, lemons, limes, avocado, a cabbage slaw, pico, and salsa verde. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well, including the grilled octopus, grilled trout, and Sea of Cortez Shrimp! Service was excellent as well.

I waited five years to come here even though I’ve driven through Tucson a half dozen times. My trips are never planned and I haven’t been able to get a reservation the day of. I snagged a 5pm weekday RSVN this trip and was quite delighted at all aspects of the restaurant. En pointe ambiance. Delicious tequila based take on an old fashioned (I had to order a second upon completion of the first), short but great draft beer menu, I enjoyed the roasted carrots and the trout.

We got lucky and took advantage of someone else’s canceled reservation. Wow! Ilex served us and had recommendations for everything we drank and ate. Went for brunch and was lucky to get in without a reservation. Service and food were fabulous! The Jamaica dove was so delicious and refreshing. We enjoyed the el huevos rancheros with carne and the French toast. French toast is truly one of a kind with a crunchy crust and warm tender center. Delightful!

Best service we have experienced in years. The food was impeccable. Every item on the plate was carefully prepared to add to each dish. The cocktails are carefully crafted and they were kind enough to make adjustments without any hesitation. The Red Snapper was the best I have ever enjoyed, from Mexico to Florida. The olive oil cake was the perfect ending to the best dinner we've enjoyed in a long, long time.

Everything about this place was amazing. The food was great. I got the pork chop which was juicy and quite the opposite of dry. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it were so smooth and tasted very good. We shared the appetizers. We got grilled octopus which may be the best octopus I have ever had. The other appetizer we got, the roasted carrots, had so much flavor and the pomegranate seeds accompanied the carrots well. For desert I had the rosemary orange cake. The cake was very delicious and was not overly sweet. The honey whipped cream that accompanied it was a great idea. When we ordered, one person ordered the swordfish special. We were told it was the last one but it turns out they were out of swordfish so she got the salmon instead. Because of this mistake, the owner paid for our deserts. He is a great owner and provides great service. Our server Alex was also great. The jamaica lemonade was outstanding and it had great flavor. Overall a great restraint with a lovely plant themed atmosphere. A gem on Tucson.

LOVED this food! The desserts and the drinks really stood out, but our salad, himachi aquachile, and shrimp/salmon entrees were also fantastic. I don’t love Panna Cotta but get the panna cotta! That passion fruit syrup is to die for. We also loved the Cowboy Coffee and the Chocolate Granache. One note is that we had a reservation and were (very politely) asked to vacate our table since they had another reservation scheduled. So just be aware if you like to take your time at dinner like we did. We finished our drinks at the bar and it wasn’t a big deal.

From the farm greeting at the door to the sweet chocolate panache finish, each item was savored and enjoyed. My mocktail was well balanced with a pleasant bitter edge, the non-imbibers are clearly not an afterthought here! The broccoli salad appetizer was a symphony of flavors with each one distinct. The duck breast special was divine and perfectly cooked. While our beef satay was a treat.

Comida mexicana contemporánea de lo mejor en Tucson! Me gustaría que ampliaran el menú, es muy pequeño; tengo mis platillos favoritos pero me encantaría que hubiera más opciones.

After two visits, this ranks as one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson. Last time we shared the fried calamari which was unusual but excellent. We both ordered the octopus which was as fresh as any I've had, served very simply but elegantly. We noticed a couple next to us eating lamb chops which looked amazing; it's not always on the menu, but when we next call to make a reservation, we'll try to order them. The only negative is a pretty weak wine list, but I did find a decent white to go with the octopus.

Don’t let the busy location fool you, this place has buzzing energy and a great vibe. Food was really really high quality, creative, well executed. Green posole is a must!

I love this restaurant. I've been many times over the years and I've never had a bad experience. The food is excellent and the right portions, the wait staff are pros, and the bar tenders mix fabulous drinks. It's worth the price.

Glad I don't live near here because I'd be here everyday! Nice atmosphere, wait staff was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable. The heirloom and charred corn was amazing, I would order it all the time and not share it 🙂. It was that good. The calamari was very good, the queso funk was very good, the grilled octopus was cooked well but we forgot to squeeze the lime over it which would have taken it over the top.Pork chop was one of the best I've ever had,. My husband had the trout which he enjoyed, my daughter had the Sea of Cortez Shrimp which for her stomach was too spicy. Chocolate ganache dessert we took to go, was delish, hours later, because this was a lot of food.

Went to Brunch. First time at this restaurant. Service was very good. We ordered the omelet and Huevos Rancheros. Both were very good and the coffee was excellent. This place has good food and the plate presentation is nice too. We spend half our time in NoCal. This place and others in AZ do not say if the the beef is grass fed or local. If the Salmon is farmed or line caught. These are details that many quality restaurants in Northern CA give to their customers.

We just love this place. We modified our planned route between Michoacán and California just so we could eat here. Interesting twists on classic recipes, the exact right sound (not too loud, not hearing other nearby conversations), a beautiful space in what was probably an auto parts store at some time. It's just great

We had an amazing dinner tonight. The shrimp was the best we’d had in a long time. The salad was nice and fresh. The fundido and carrots were amazing. The steak skewers weren’t as good as I remember them being. They also weren’t very hot. The cocktails were very good.

Really excellent food. We did a fairly complete tour of the menu and every dish was delicious. It is a relatively noisy space. While their parking lot is small, there is plenty of street parking around the block.

This place was absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and tasted fresh and homemade. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. What made the experience even better was the staff — everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in and checked on us just the right amount. Great food and great service is the perfect combination. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Do good, we're going back again tonight! We had 3 small plates - the steak skewers, the squash, the octopus, and one entree (salmon). Everything was incredible. Service was superb and we made some new friends. So happy we found this place!

We arrived at opening and got a seat at the bar, and we were thankful because reservations were booked out well in advance. We chose Tito & Pep on the suggestion of Stephen Paul from Whiskey Del Bac, and he nailed it. The food was fantastic, with layers of flavor and creativity on display. My wife ordered the pork chop and I had a shrimp dish, and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. Our drinks were unique and very enjoyable, as well. We’ll make Tito & Pep a regular stop on our annual Tucson visits.

The food is always consistently amazing! Flavorful, well cooked, beautifully presented meals at a fair price. Cocktails are amazing. Service is consistently excellent. The only reason I took a star away from atmosphere is because it gets so noisy that it sometimes will impede conversation at the table. Everything else is spectacular about this place and I highly recommend it. You'll be too busy chewing to talk much anyway!

This place is not for you if you're in a rush. Each cocktail and dish is prepared lovingly and it's very obvious. The flavors are thoughtfully considered and the vibe is so relaxed. Our server answered my questions regarding an allergy modification and made recommendations that were spot on. The omlet was so smooth with perfectly cooked peppers and the green sauce was 10/10. Totally a fun spot to chill and eat delicious food.

Tito and Pep is an absolute gem. We were in Tucson for three nights and are glad we saved the best for last. The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic. We started with the charred broccoli and queso fundido. Both were awesome but that queso fundido was the best I’ve ever eaten. For the entrees, we got the trout and NY strip — both delicious. One small suggestion would be to have the steak in a little bit less salsa so that the meat flavor sticks out. We had panna cotta to round out the meal. The drinks were also terrific. We were so glad to make Tito and Pep part of our Tucson experience. It was a meal we won’t forget!

The place is nice, really nice. I like that their menu isn’t that complicated at all. The waiter was really kind all the time. I never ran out of water or RC, which is bad that they don’t carry coke. I started with the grilled salmon dish. Everything about that dish was perfect and fresh. The crusty layer on the top of the salmon was amazing, literally. Then moved to the dessert. I had decided to go with the penna cotta. I can’t describe it, it is just perfect combination of everything. I just think the place is a bit pricey. Will I come again ? Of course I will. I am so excited to try their other dishes and other desserts.

Great service! We got there at 5 to beat the rush.... The main event is the Mesquite fired oven. Dishes have lots of flavor but not spice... That's a good thing. She had the shrimp with Masa balls (wonderful). I opted for the gilled octopus and a NY strip. This would be a 5 star review except the octopus was a bit overdone. We will be back for more inventive and delicious food! New Tucson fav!

came here on a frequent reddit recommendation and if its the top of tucson im not sure id vouch but had the seafood and it was just decent! striped sea bass, yucca shrimp, and fried calamari, along with earl grey and hibiscus tea all just decent but might have to pivot to the real ethnic cuisine of the inhabitants

I give this place 8/10 The service is great and the decoration and the vibes is very nice. It's a great restaurant for a date or even a small party of friends. For the food we got: Queso Fundido: 2/5 it's tasty but not special. Chorizo usually has a lot of grease so I wish they skimmed some of that grease since the cheese they use is also greasy. Steak skewers: 5/5. I love the marination and how tender it is, the Parmesan on top gave it a special twist 😍 Grilled octopus: 4/5 texture of the octopus was amazing and the blend of the cilantro, tomato octopus and the sauce makes everything perfect. The Pinna cotta dessert: 5/5 if come to this place again it would be for this dessert. Chocolate ganache dessert: 4/5 it is rich and tasty.

Called in on a Friday night at 5 after we got turned away somewhere else. The host got us a reservation within the hour. Our waiter was awesome! Food was trendy but very good! Very classy! We had a great dinner and awesome drinks and dessert. 4 stars only for the limited menu. Great date night!

Just spent a long weekend in Tucson and chose this place as our Saturday night meal, even if it is out of the way a bit from downtown. James Beard nomination tipped the decision towards making the trek. Easy parking and great atmosphere but service was sporadic and so was the food. Few highlights - appetizers, especially broccoli and queso fundido. We should have stopped at appetizers… Low points - getting our drinks after appetizers, even though one of our drinks was a beer. Scallop special had a lot of very little overcooked scallops and not enough acid to offset the richness of the brown butter. Pork chop pretty good, but not enough other things on the plate to go with it.

This place has an attractive, seafood-forward menu with lots of variety; the specials sounded great the night I visited. I had their grilled octopus (smaller plate) and rainbow trout special (larger plate) and sensed a theme. The octopus and trout filet had good portions and were both cooked perfectly -- textures were on point and the trout had a nice crispy skin on both sides with plenty of butteriness inside. On the downside, both dishes were a little heavy on the salt. There were some decent flavors hidden underneath, but the salt kind of overpowered. That trout was still unforgettably good, though. I loved the vibe here. It's not overly fancy but definitely has the charm of a date-night spot. I wouldn't deter anybody from giving them a try.

Valentine's Day went perfectly at Tito & Pep! My partner reserved a table for us at 6:30pm, and we were seated quickly. Thankfully, we snagged a parking spot, as their lot is pretty small. Be aware that you may need to fight for parking, if you need to drive to this place. The atmosphere included dim lighting to help create the romantic mood for all the lovely couples. I had multiple dishes, as it is encouraged to order more than one to share. The food I tried included: Queso Fundido, Crispy Calamari, Roasted Carrots, Charred & Grilled Broccoli, Sea of Cortez Shrimp, and the Hamachi Aguachile (only served on the Valentine's Day menu). For drinks, I had the cocktail called "The Floor is Guava" which came in a small glass, and taste sweet and powerful in liquor. My personal favorite meals were the Queso Fundido because how could I not with being an avid cheese lover? The Roasted Carrots were the most surprising dish, which is a good thing. It was cooked well and blended nicely with the lebne that came with it. Sea of Cortez Shrimp was nice, but I have to rank it as my least favorite for it being so spicy. That being said, I recommend this dish to all spice lovers. This is a wonderful spot to take your partner to for a romantic dinner, but you can also invite good family and friends as well. Just make sure nobody is a picky eater, as the menu doesn't appear to have anything that could cater to them. Each meal is unique in combination and high-quality. As someone who considers themselves a foodie, I discovered new flavors I never experienced before. I would absolutely come again!

My meal was absolutely fantastic! It was seasoned perfectly and everything had interesting textures and flavor combinations. My dining companion, unfortunately, did not have the same experience. The lemon butter sauce her bass was swimming in was very imbalanced. Way too much lemon. Our service was great! We really liked our server. Besides being appropriately attentive, she was passionate about the food she described and served. There was an upbeat atmosphere, but it wasn't loud. Even though all of the tables were full, the vibe remained calm and relaxing. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains during our meal.

I've been hearing tons about it, as I used to live in Tucson and come back occasionally. The food was fine. We had 3 appetizers and a shared meal. The first, the calamari was a 3 out of 5 at best. We had the hamachi which was really good and the crudo which was the best. The steak was fine but also what you would expect, nothing more. The pacing of the meal was strange, though I think our waiter forgot to place our order or someone else took it. Either way, no explanation.

I can definitely see why you need reservations for this place! Even at 5pm when it opens, it’s already moderately busy. Prices are reasonable. Drinks are fantastic. Loved the summer spritzer. It’s so refreshing and light. The appetizers were great. The cheese fondue with mushroom is so good and so flavorful! The radicchio salad has the perfect dressing and texture. The shredded snow peas add so much freshness and flavor, I love it! Steak skewers would probably taste better medium rare but it is still very good. The entree pollo asado and pork chops were phenomenal. The meat was lean and the sauces were very well made. The decor is cute and service was amazing. Will come back again.

Tito & Pep was a standout from start to finish. The menu offered a vibrant range of bold, flavorful dishes—each one crafted with care and served in generous portions, despite the tapas-style format. The variety made it easy to share and explore, and every plate delivered. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, and the overall experience felt thoughtfully curated. This spot is absolutely worth your time—but be sure to make a reservation, as it fills up fast.

We walked over from the desert lodge and were fortunate to get a table right away at the bar. The place was hopping. Started with a unique cocktail. The octopus was excellent. Shared the grilled salmon with a squash sauce. Both were Devine.Highly recommend. .

The food here was absolutely wonderful. My spouse and I tried five dishes and loved all of them. Flavors were complex and complimented each other well. Cocktails were also delicious. The atmosphere and service though, well to be honest, we felt like the experience was, “please don’t get comfortable and please get out of here…we have more people to serve!” Chairs weren’t comfortable, but more little things like our wait staff took our order, and never checked on us again. One asked for more water, and only one got more water. We both wanted to try another cocktail, but nope. We got our ONE cocktail and ONE chance to order it - you’re done. They decided that for us. Other small plate restaurants we’ve been to, have checked to see if we wanted to add more drinks, more food, more anything. We really felt this experience was like, “our food is excellent, you need to eat it and get out…please.” There was nothing overly aggressive, but nothing inviting or welcoming either. No checking, no asking…we left stunned. When we got in the car, I asked, “did you feel hurried or was it just me?” My spouse answered, “YES! That’s what it was! I was rushed the entire time” We may have ordered a few other things, but were never, ever asked…. And it felt like no one wanted us to…it would mess up timing. Maybe staff is stressed, I don’t know. Wanna know what it takes to be great? Not just your food, but also how you treat people. We visit James Beard nominees across the country as we travel, first time we had this stressed/rushed experience.

I heard some pretty rave reviews about Tito and Pep and decided to try it on a Sunday when it wasn't as busy. The appetizers and drinks were pretty stellar with the biggest standout being the octopus that was both flavorful and really tender. The calamari also had good flavor but paled in comparison to the octopus. I love octopus so I would just get one for me next time. For the entrees my wife got some steak squewers that we're really tender and moist. Unfortunately, I chose the halibut that they apparently have not been able to master how to cook since it arrived at the table TWO times both raw or undercooked and left me confused. They thankfully took it off the bill and I instead decided to just get dessert. We had a fantastic smooth Panna Cotta with some Arbuckles coffee to go with it and it almost made up for the halibut. I might go back again just to try another entree since they sounded great but will have to wait a while to get the sight of two raw hunks of halibut out of my memory.

Was on a work trip to Tucson and this was recommended by a friend. They are located in a not so great side of town. We Ubered there and pretty much sat on a bench in front until they opened. They have a small menu and seem to be trying to go for the “eclectic” food scene. Our appetizers were good. I ordered the pork and it was pink when I received it. When I asked the server about it she stated “we cook our pork to medium”. So basically you get a side of parasites with your pork. She took it and I decided to not partake in other menu items. The person I was traveling with ordered the steak and was super disappointed that it was floating in a really red sauce (pepper sauce). He didn’t eat his meal either. We had drinks and when he tried to order another our server was super short with him (this before the meals were delivered). All in all Insee what they are going for but I feel like they are missing the mark. Try it for yourself, I never want to make a decision for others on trying new places. They did take the meals off of our bill, but we had to turn around and find another place for dinner. The friends that recommended it really loved it so I feel like it’s all about personal taste.

Our server was good, the food was very flavorful as always. The dessert was the highlight this time. However, my husband got his espresso martini spilled all over his pants, and the young server didn’t even say anything. We didn’t make a big deal about it because we didn’t want to ruin our dinner, but honestly, it’s not acceptable.
