Always a guarantee! We stopped by on Sunday for lunch and ate authentic, traditional dishes! The staff is very friendly. The location takes you back in time to the classic trattorias of yesteryear—a real gem! It's always a good place to stay, and it's close to the highway exit, so it's easy to get to!

We stopped by chance during a trip. I was delighted to find this trattoria where time stood still. It serves traditional Piedmontese cuisine with a variety of appetizers. The first courses are excellent and tasty. The portions are generous and the price is fair. Recommended.

A true grandmother's trattoria with pure Italian tradition. We stopped here by chance for a quick lunch on the way to Courmayeur from Milan. The atmosphere is casual yet very welcoming, complete with a fireplace. They welcomed us even though it was late, well after the usual lunch hour, which is no small feat these days. The beef carpaccio and the Tomini Cime appetizer were delicious. The agnolotti with wild boar sauce are a must-try. The kindness and friendliness of the owner completes the experience.

A business lunch on Saturday, no set menu, excellent and very local food! We opted for the panissa vercellese, fried frogs, and stewed snails...exceptional. Saturday prices are unfortunately standard, €28 per person with water, food, and cover charge. I was hoping for a little less, but you can keep the cost down by ordering just a main course for two or opting for an appetizer, first course, and possibly a more classic main course like roast duck or guinea fowl. Worth it!

Adorable quaint little place - seems nothing from outside - but really gorgeous and intimate indoors. Splendid wisteria to be enjoyed. Food wise real carnivores like traditional Piedmont cuisine.

Ci sono arrivato su indicazione di un amico. Locale vecchia maniera con pochi posti, al chiuso. Menù parlato, per decidere cosa prendere, me lo sono fatto ripetere più volte. Tutte le tre portate ordinate abbondanti, sarebbero bastate per due persone invece me le sono gustate da solo, e soprattutto ben cucinate e buone buone buone. Non ho preso i primi piatti proposti, ma visto e sentito i commenti delle altre persone presenti, li ordinerò quando sicuramente ci tornerò. Il costo, decisamente, contenuto.

Al di là di ina porticina anonima, con insegna sbiadita, si apre un locale semplice, ma accogliente che offre piatti tipici della cucina vercellese e piemontese, a volte quasi introvabili, come le ottime rane fritte (quelle piccole, nostrane, non le giganti cinesi), il vitello tonnato, la panissa, cucinata sul momento o il fritto misto ( su ordinazione). A family-run trattoria discovered by chance while traveling, with great satisfaction. Traditional dishes with excellent value. Don't miss the frogs, pickled trout, and their homemade cured meats. Worth a stop on any trip between Turin and Milan.

The trattoria is located in San Damiano, a small hamlet in the municipality of Carisio, in the province of Vercelli. It's a place of rice paddies, with many buildings now sadly in ruins. You arrive at Cuore d'Oro by word of mouth, and given the very basic sign outside, where it's hard to read the name, you'd be hard-pressed to stop, or even notice it, if it hadn't been recommended by locals. I believe it's one of the few true trattorias left. The interior decor is spartan but pleasant, unfussy, and basic. The fireplace adds warmth to the space. The welcome is kind, reserved, yet helpful. One of the very few places where you're not disturbed by background music, which invites diners to... hushed conversation... Excellent food, attentive service. Good selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses, beautifully presented and cooked. Generous portions. A delightful discovery. The trattoria has always existed here in San Damiano, and the current owner, who also served us lunch, explained that her family has been running it for fifty years, but that it already had a history as a trattoria. The place isn't exactly small, but it's divided into separate spaces of varying sizes. Excellent coffee. It'd be a shame not to return, perhaps for a Piedmontese appetizer, a panissa, or a delicious plate of fried frogs. Just a personal suggestion to the kind owner: make the sign more readable, bring it to life, and add a bit of color to reflect the "heart of gold" that lies beyond that gray door.

Erano anni che nn andavo e passeranno anni di nuovo Qualità scarsa e prezzo elevato x quello che abbiamo mangiato e x il posto che è Antipasti di bassissima qualità Panissa e rane nella norma Tiram…

se uno non impostasse il navigatore, ci potrebbe passare davanti 1000 volte e non accorgersi di questo angoletto incastonato in un cascinale. Ambiente spartano con poche salette e non molti tavoli. C…
