Friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Great brunch options and amazing wine list. First time here I enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Benedict on the terrace with the beautiful view. I later came back with a group and dined inside the elegant dime lit restaurant which gave a calm and intimate experience. This time around I had the Focaccia French Toast with a side of bacon.

We drove from San Diego and it was a relaxing drive up. This vineyard was epic!! Let me start with the ambiance—it was so serene. We sat at the bar while waiting for our food and the bartender was so knowledgeable on the wines and cocktails. We had the house white and red as well as the mango raspberry mimosa which was really amazing! The bartender let us try a Bloody Mary because my sister and I never had one—that was equally amazing. If you’re going for the drinks you won’t be disappointed. Now, the food: 😩😩🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🥰 The food was aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable. My sister loved the salmon and I had the French toast and sausage which tasted great. The calamari makes you wanna slap yo momma! I haven’t had calamari that tasted this good since Italy. The staff was very friendly and there’s also sooo many other vineyards at arms length.

This spot was a pleasant surprise. Wife booked a last minute getaway at this winery and the restaurant was great. We went here after exploring all day. Michael made our experience great. He was friendly and made great suggestions for our dinner. Meals came out in a timely manner and were excellent. Definitely would go back.

Drove in from Poway to this restaurant/winery. We had the BEST server in my 58 years of fine dining - Mark A. He NEVER interrupted our conversation as many servers do. He had PERFECT timing. He got a huge tip. The food was absolutely over-the-top. The Bordeaux wine reduction sauce over the filet mignon was to-die-for. The salmon and the accompaniment around it was superb with the lima beans. Amazing. The Focaccia bread with balsalmic dip was wonderful and welcomed. He brought a bottle of bubbly, which was corked and well served on refills. The staff at this facility is top-notch. I suggest a booth on your reservation like we had. VERY comfortable (I don't like chairs). I would definately return to this restaurant - and will.

Came here for lunch and everything was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside. Staff was super friendly. Food was amazing. The prime rib sandwich was one of the better ones that I’ve ever had. Did a great wine tasting afterwards in the tasting room. Highly recommend!

Came here on a Tuesday morning to celebrate our anniversary. It's probably one of the only wineries or the only winery that serves breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict and my husband had the platter. It was very quiet due to when we were there but the service was excellent and we both loved our food. We shared with our littlest who tagged along for breakfast and he enjoyed the food as well. They had a highchair for him and the restaurant was very clean. I had an excellent bloody Mary too! I would definitely recommend. The grounds were beautiful and the restaurant was very nice.

The Vineyard Rose is part of a wonderful resort hotel to which we have yet to stay, but we sure want to. The restaurant is so great. This time we had both breakfast and dinner there. The place is as clean and wonderful as it was the last time we were there. it is just lovely and there is dinning inside or outside, both are great. The service is now perfect. They get to you right away and check on you. Your food is delivered pretty fast and it is just great. This time we had for breakfast, the steak and eggs which has this wonderful mushroom seasoning, a tasty flat iron steak with fried eggs and wonderful roasted tomatoes and great potatoes. We loved every bite. We also had, smoked salmon toast which has avocado, cucumber a lemon dill yogurt a bite of caviar and sourdough bread. I don't know if they make it there, but it is great. I could just eat toast and more toast and be happy. It also has a side salad which is crisp and ever so fresh. We returned for dinner a couple of nights later and were just wowed by the selection and the food. We started with Caesar salad and a great Mediterranean salad, which had mixed romaine, the best tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, some great feta cheese along with a tasty lemon-oregano dressing. It was all so fresh and crispy. We tried the salmon, with wild mushroom congee, legumes and shaved carrots. It was cooked to perfection and some of the best salmon we have had in Temecula. It was just perfect. The filet we order was cooked rare, exactly as ordered and so tender. It had a mushroom seasoning, the best smoked mashed potatoes, perfect asparagus all in a wonderful deep wine sauce. It was magical. We also had some shrimp because we are spoiled and were in heaven. The crème brulee was very good, not the best I have ever had, but super good. Try their caramel-pecan brownie. it is the best with graham whipped mallow brulée, a tasty chili ash salt with goji berry. That is something you can't really get that good elsewhere. We did not have wine, but we had some great coffee. I forgot my phone, in the car, so borrowed two photos. We had the best time and so will you.

During our three nights stay at South Coast winery resort and spa, we ate at the Vineyard Rose restaurant on two occasions. First, we enjoyed breakfast there on a Friday morning. We were quickly sat, as there was no wait and few other guests at that time. We both ordered the same thing - caramel cold brew and Florentine omelet with avocado. Everything was amazing and the service was spectacular. The second time we ate at the Vineyard Rose restaurant was for dinner on a Saturday night. This time around, 98° was performing in the courtyard event area so there was a bit of a crowd and we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. We grabbed a drink from the bar while we waited for our table for dinner. For dinner we each ordered a blue cheese wedge salad. We were also served deliciously warm bread before our salads arrived. For our entrées I went with the linguine pasta that had grilled chicken in it and plenty of fresh veggies. My friend ordered the filet mignon for herself. Both entrées were delicious. I also ordered a specialty gimlet and she ordered a couple glasses of wine. We were really impressed with how amazing everything tasted and look forward to returning again soon.

Service here was phenomenal. Our breakfast was fresh and the restaurant is really lovely. Breakfast burrito had great flavor and the bacon was perfect.

Excellent Service, Outstanding Food & Noteworthy Wines and Sparkling's. This restaurant is part of South Coast Winery. We usually come here weekly and especially enjoy their breakfast omelets. However, they also serve excellent pancakes. Their lunch menu is also good and I typically select the beef dip sandwich. And of course their dinners are outstanding. I also highly recommend their Pinot Grigio Sparkling Wine. Their servers in the restaurant are outstanding! We have had the very experienced waiter Nathan many times and he is extremely knowledgable of the the wine and sparkling selection. His hospitality is very customer focus and makes you feel as family. It is the family-type hospitality, excellent service, fine food, notable ambiance, and outstanding sparkling wine selection that brings us back here and was the catalyst for us being wine club members here. I highly recommend you try the restaurant as you try out wine tasting here in the Temecula Valley.

1st night met some very nice ppl and had some drink (terrific cocktails)outside on terrace overlooking the courtyard and vineyard. We then took our dinner inside the restaurant. The ambiance was nice a lil old style feeling but elegant and quaint. We ordered the artichoke dip with warm garlic bread (wish I ate more..sooo good). Hubby ordered the braised short rib with polenta which he loved so tenter no fork needed. I ordered the shrimp presto penne pasta with veggies (great sauce, huge shrimp, good portion). I went back the next day because hubby fell asleep doing wine tasting all day and I go the petite Filet medium rare with smashed red potatoes asparagus and wild mushrooms. My steak was a lil over cooked but and the service took a bit longer than I expected but still a great place to eat. I will definitely come back again and if you stay at the vineyard they give you $10 credit per night for the restaurant.

I had such an amazing time we came for both lunch and dinner with my husband and Kyle was beyond amazing and attentive for our lunch reservation and Katie was such a sweetheart during our dinner. We were celebrating our honeymoon and they were sooo sweet and they gave us a glass of their bubbly Brut wine. Thank for such a great experience. The food was super delicious, we will definitely come back.

Great experience tasting wine and understanding where it came from. Soon as I walked in I was welcomed by ine of the pourer. I got 5 tastings for $20 dollars. After the whole process tasting the wines, able to buy 3 bottles that I really enjoyed.

Julio was our server. He's very nice. We got the cheese plate. A little disappointed that they didn't have Humboldt fog. But they usually do, and it's usually great. We shared the tri tip sandwich and it was delicious

My wife and I celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary here, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful and special. Our server, Brodie, went above and beyond to make the night perfect. They surprised us with a beautifully set card that said “Happy Anniversary,” complete with candles. Hidden underneath was a wedding ring I had bought for my wife, and the surprise absolutely blew her away. She was completely amazed and on cloud nine. It was a moment we’ll cherish forever. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and elegant, and the attention to detail made the entire evening feel magical. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate such an important milestone. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable. We will absolutely be coming back.

Just lovely place for a special dinner! I had best anniversary diner there with GREAT service. Wednesday is prime rib night! It was delicious and the special soup of the night was an extra treat. They have seating inside and outside where you can watch the sunset.

Don't want to say too much positive statements about their breakfast because more people will go and I'll have to wait. Amazing food at discount princing, steak and eggs was great, could of split it and still been full.

This place is beautiful but please read on. Inside and outside is clean and beautiful. The decor inside the restaurant is very nice. We had a reservation for 12. There was a bit of a delay at the reception and they would not seat us until the entire party arrived. When we were taken to our table it was immediately recognized as an individual air conditioner was on and facing our table. This one wall air conditioner blows hard and cold. Several ran out to their cars to get blankets on an 80 degree day. It took about 10 minutes but they found a manager to turn it off but it came back on 30 minutes later. Not sure why they didn’t use one of the several other a/c units or the forced air system. Anyhow on to the food and service. The service team for our table was great. Always had a smile and helpful. Now the food. Presentation was wonderful. I need to break it down. There is a Fried chicken torta. It is big but I’m going to complain that the quality of chicken is too high for fried chicken. It just didn’t have that greasy fried chicken flavor. Now the steak salad. Looked great but the thin tortilla strips on the salad tasted so stale it made the salad inedible. She even asked others to try the strips to see if it were just her and it was not. All agree the strips were horrible. I had the Kobe hamburger. The meat had good flavor but the bun over killed the meat and the bottom bun was disintegrating so I had to eat upside down. Each of these meals are around 25-30 for a sandwich and fries or a salad. The environment was that level but not the food. The plus was the Bloody Mary. I ordered it spicy and it was on point and the highlight. We will give it a try again but not a favorite yet.

It's been a while since we last visited. We used to come here for wine tasting and dinner at the restaurant. We used to adore their sparkling pinot grigio, but it didn't quite measure up this time. For dinner, we ordered the wiener schnitzel, beef filet, and the roasted chicken, all of which were quite delicious. We also tried their Thai 71 and blood orange margarita, which were quite enjoyable.

J

Food is good and service as well. They used to have garlic butter served with their bread that was to die for but now serve with cheap wrapped butter which is a disappointment. Vegetarian options limited. However, the chickpea fritter option was excellent. Bold flavors. Texture could be improved on actual fritters more but over all excellent taste. Desserts are a must! I’ve not had a dessert here I haven’t liked and I’ve been here a lot!

Lovely brunch spot! We had reservation and were seated outside with a gorgeous view. Classic brunch food that hits the spot and good drinks as well. Highly recommend the Bloody Maria if you want something other than wine. It's a good Bloody Mary, but with tequila and a kick from the spiced rim! The French Dip was a winner too. The au jus was super flavorful and perfect portion. The other breakfast dishes were good too and prepared well. Overall, solid brunch spot that I would visit again!

Came here for gluten free options, but they only take away sauces, which leaves you with a very plain dish. No gluten free bread option as should be expected at a high-end restaurant when bringing a bread bowl for others at the table. My husband did enjoy the bread, he doesn't require GF. Drinks were great! Amazing presentation on Old Fashion with a great smoke flavor. Blood orange Margarita was great, and I'm picky. 2 different gluten free dessert options Creme Brule or Smore Brownie. They make the whole brownie and Graham cracker crumbs in house and guaranteed truly GF. Brownie was delicious and definitely recommended.

The lack of knife to eat the half baked chicken bugged me. Not nearly enough chips for the ceviche although the ceviche was excellent! (We had to ask for more chips). The seafood linguine was fresh! Also, the butter cake dessert was incredible. I've never had butter cake before but this would be the standard! What a surprise!

We had such a lovely experience here. The views of the vineyard are beautiful and so is the restaurant itself. The portion sizes were large and the food was clearly fresh. All of the staff we came across was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Tellyer Thanksgiving Post 2022 We enjoyed and made it through Thanksgiving day with a bucolic trip to Temecula. We booked our reservation at the South Coast Winery's main restaurant, The Vineyard Rose Restaurant. We had a great time, but we miscalculated, and they served their Thanksgiving meal earlier, so we ended up having prime rib and salmon instead. PROS: They welcomed us into their large open space and found it a beautiful wood beamed lodge that reminded me of Hrothgar's keep in Beowolf. The service and ambiance were warm and inviting. The charcuterie board was adequate and nicely done. The prime rib tasted well seasoned, and the green beans were top-notch. They roasted the fingerling potatoes immaculately. The pumpkin beignets with caramel sauce tasted amazing. CONS: The server started off fine, but as the evening went on, it seemed like he was sipping too much wine and becoming more and more a bit much, and became carried away. If I am in the area, I would like to try some other restaurants at other wineries. But, I would enjoy trying more from this place.

Had lunch and purposely arrived after 1:00 pm to avoid any crowds. Food menu is limited but we had the tri tip sandwich $18 and the Mediterranean chicken $28. Both were very tasty and the serving size was large enough to feel full. For drinks hubby had house merlot $12 and I had a delicious draft mango hefenweizen $8. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, the waitress service was extremely slow... especially in bringing our first drinks. So for that I knocked off a star. we sat outside and ambience is very nice. We will go back.

Lovely dinner here on the Sat. 2/15/20 after Valentine's day. We were able to reserve a table on Friday when we arrived. The food and service were excellent. New Zealand rack of lamb, diver scallops on ravioli, and creme brulee for dessert. Superb!

First time here. Usually I'm with a group over in the tasting room of SouthCoast Winery, but my group decided to stop by here and lounge out for a bit. Waiters were accommodating to our large party of 10, putting together tables and chairs. The majority of us it was our actual first time here at the Vineyard Rose and we were glad that they offered happy hour (330pm-530pm). Appetizers (sharable sizes) -Calamari (nice crunch and a good starter) -Flatbread (to me was okay. didn't like the dough) -Sliders (good size juicy meat and shoe string fries were addicting) 16oz beers $3.75 and wine by the glass will range from $5.50-$8.50 depending on your pallet. (see pics for selection) The service was good- attentive and good friendly attitude. I have yet to try this place for lunch/ dinner but happy hour is here is an recommended start.

Nice restaurant, has a "cabin feel," food was very tasty, the bloody mary was yummy, who knew a winery would hace a good bloody mary! And the server was hilarious. Overall, it was a good experience

Atmosphere and ambience are great! However the food is a disappointment for a place like that. We ordered the salmon toast with eggs which came with a salad and steak and eggs. Dressing on salad was off. Taste of steak was off. Eggs needed seasoning. Not sure if it was not the right morning to go. Restaurant was empty too for a Saturday midday.

The setting was gorgeous; our server was nice, but overall the food and drinks were a bit underwhelming. We had to-go charcuterie one evening and there were four total pieces of meat (two of two kinds) - which was disappointing. The cheeses were good, but standard. Another night we ate in the restaurant, and the drinks were ok but not our favorites, and we also tried the caprese salad, and there was little flavor.

Let me say the food and wine were good we came here for my moms birthday if it wasn’t for our waiter Mark I don’t think I would have came back when I first came I felt I was discriminated because of how I looked . Once we were at the table seated Our waiter Mark and Juan did an amazing job !!’ I feel like we need more diversity in Temecula 😊 also I see I’m not the only who has felt like they’re racist ? Based on the reviews ??!

My expectations were high for a fine dining experience. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. We arrived about 20 early for our reservation and were asked to wait in the bar. It wasn't terribly busy but the bar tender took quite some time to greet us. When he did we order 3 cocktails and a soda. He took one drink order and a time and took an exorbitant amount of time to fix the drinks. At one point I thought he forgot about us as he basically ignored us and then left the bar area all together. When he finally returned we learned they had ran out of an ingredient, which could've been communicated much sooner. When it was time to be seated, the hostess offered to transfer our drink tab to the table but the bartender refused this and made us close out. Needless to say, the bartender did not provide the type of service I would expect from a fine dining experience. Our waiter on the other hand was very friendly and attentive. The food was fairly tasty but again not what I would expect from this level of fine dining. I order my steak medium rare and it came overcooked. I will not be returning.

We decided to stay at South Coast Winery for a night and was excited to find out that the restaurant was open - super convenient! We made a reservation and upon arrival was seated on the patio, which was lovely with beautiful views. Our waitress took at least 10-15 min before she greeted us and when she did she lacked the customer service we are used too. (Strike 1) We ordered 2 appetizers - the caesar salad and calamari were delicious! My husband ordered a beer and I swear she brought him a beer that I just watched her attempt to deliver to another customer that didn't want it 😒. (Strike 2) I ordered the steak and frites and the hubby ordered the short rib - both entrees almost $40 each but they sounded amazing. From the first bite I was super disappointed in my selection as it was the toughest, chewiest, leanest piece of steak I'd ever had. I'm not kidding you, I had to cut it into very small pieces and chew it over 100 times before swallowing it - not to mention it was not well seasoned. I gave my husband a slice and he exclaimed that it was the worst tasting steak he had ever had, almost as if it had been frozen for months and cooked before it was completely thawed. Let's just say it was awful. Sadly I just BBQ'd 2 Ribeyes the other day and they were 1000 times better than these steaks. My husband said his braised short rib was really dry (although covered in sauce, perhaps over cooked). Our server never asked how the meal was so I'm assuming she already knew what our feedback would be. We really should have complained and asked for something else but unfortunately we dealt with it, however I do feel some kinda way for spending over $110, with $74 of it being from the subpar entrees. (Strike 3) I had such high hopes for our dinner experience and unfortunately we were ultimately disappointed. We won't be repeating this mistake and eating at this restaurant again.

I am currently staying here and had booked two nights for January 10th, 2026. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the servers during dinner has left a lot to be desired. From the moment we were seated, the attitude displayed was dismissive and unwelcoming. It was clear that this individual felt superior to the guests, which is not the attitude one expects from someone in the hospitality industry. Customer service should always be a priority in such an environment, and it was extremely disappointing to experience such poor treatment. I had high expectations given the reputation of the establishment, but this incident has significantly impacted my view. As a result of this negative experience, I decided to cancel my application to join the wine club. It’s unfortunate to feel this way, but I believe management should review their staffing decisions to ensure all guests are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

R
Ryan Constantino

You cannot call that a charcuterie board… it was 2 types of salami, hard cheeses with raisins in it, stale crackers and honey roasted walnuts? The main dish, roasted chicken was all over the place, brown gravy of the mystery variety, caper chimichurri, polenta, undercooked broccolini, chicken was not made/roasted fresh. Did they forget that salt existed? My theory is we were eating leftovers from whatever Christmas event that occurred recently.

H
Holly Davis

Went here today to celebrate my Birthday and Thanksgiving. Worst decision ever. The food was buffet style at $85 per person. Turkey was processed and rubbery, mashed potatoes were undercooked. All the food dishes were cold or lukewarm. When l spoke to the manager with my concerns. He looked at me and said “Oh let me see “ and walked away. Not resolving my issues. Very disappointed! Will not recommend!!!
