The dining experience at Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa is absolutely fantastic! I often order room service, or as they call it, in-room dining, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—it’s that good. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal feel special even when I stay in my room. I love how convenient it is to enjoy high-quality dishes without leaving the comfort of my room, especially after a long day of exploring or work. The staff handling the in-room dining orders are always polite and efficient, ensuring everything arrives on time and just the way I like it. This level of service, combined with the delicious food, makes staying here even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying the in-room dining during your stay—you won’t be disappointed!

Had a really delicious breakfast at this restaurant. The quiche was cheesey and flaky and perfectly cooked with a great side salad. The Crab Benedict did not skimp on the crab. Also wanted to give a major shout out to the manager Victor who had to deal with a total Karen complaining about literally everything and kept his cool, kept his smile and took the time to check in with everyone else after dealing with her.

Best spot for filet mignon or beef in town! The braised short rib is a must, full of flavor, tender, and perfect portions. This is the only restaurant around that serves filet mignon, and it is made to perfection, especially with the side sauce options. The truffle mac and cheese is also a must. All the staff are friendly, helpful with recommendations, and elevated the experience. The atmosphere is romantic and comfortable. Also family friendly! The restaurant is inside of the hotel, limited parking in front but plenty in the garage at no cost. A large indoor dining area with some covered outdoor dining as well. Prices are reasonable for the quality and service. It did take a while to get our food but was worth the wait. Really loved the mocktail options! I'm definitely planning to frequent this location and would highly recommend it!

My third time being here with my husband. Maxwell was our server and the bartender for the lunch service. He was so kind and attentive throughout our meal. Excellent drinks. As for the food, my four old daughter tried calamari for the first time, so that’s a win. We shall return. Hoping our next visit will be for date night. Drinks and desserts here we come!

My wife and I enjoyed the food that was prepared, for dinner the main course for both of us was cooked perfectly. While the restaurant is not the biggest and has a bar to one side, the atmosphere was not loud or cramped.

Everyone was friendly and attentive. Overall, the food and drinks were tasty! Corn soup did have a little bit of a weird aftertaste, but the margarita was perfect!

I unfortunately was in a hurry so I felt as if I could not fully enjoy my breakfast experience, nonetheless it was a 5 star experience! I ordered the French toast and it was the best FT I've had in quite some time! Fluffy warm bread with fresh berries. Divine!

The Park Bistro & Bar in Lafayette, California, offers a delightful culinary experience, especially with their dessert, the Chef's Chocolate Tart. This masterpiece combines a rich chocolate tart shell with a lusciously smooth chocolate mousse. The addition of a salted caramel ribbon creates a perfect balance of sweet and salty, enhancing the overall flavor profile. The raspberry coulis adds a tart contrast, cutting through the richness of the chocolate and caramel. The presentation is exquisite, with a delicate gold leaf topping that not only adds a touch of elegance but also a subtle texture. Every bite of this dessert is a journey through contrasting yet complementary flavors, making it a must-try for any chocolate aficionado.

I am staying at the Lafayette Hotel and Spa and for my last day, I was interested in trying out the dinner at The Park Bistro, which is the restaurant at the hotel. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find a vegan dinner option for myself on the menu that had substance. The manager and chef put an amazing meal together for me, where I practically licked the plate clean, it was so good! I personally thanked the manager and chef for such a fantastic dinner that should be a menu option! What a special place!

The food and ambiance here is top tier! I've been here a few times with family and the staff is so welcoming and the foooood! I've had a pretty large variety over my visits and personal highlights have been the calamari, croque madame, pork chop and butterscotch pot de creme! The pork chop was seasoned perfectly and had amazing sides! And I'm definitely coming back for the calamari!

Being an accompaniment to the prestigious Lafayette Park Hotel means living up to esteemed industry standards, and The Park Bistro & Bar does just that! AESTHETICS: Cozy and Quaint. The French-American Old World charm is consistent throughout. The structure and furnishings are well maintained, and the place is immaculately clean and tidy. You can see the attention to detail: crisp, clean, perfectly placed table linens, and place settings, furniture spacing… SERVICE: The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Food service was pretty slow our last visit. I blame Covid and staffing shortages. Our server Louis more than made up for the delays with his charming personality. FOOD: Yumm! We enjoyed dinner the evening of our stay, and breakfast the next morning. Service was slow both meals, but the food was delicious. I will order the cheese plate EVERY TIME! The artesian toasts, honey, jam, and gourmet cheese was a very high-end quality. It paired perfectly with my sparkling rosé. As for breakfast, the Park Omelet gets a gold star. The French toast was delicious as well, but more of a sweet dessert than breakfast. I could only eat one of the two slices. DINNER Me: Cheese Plate, Caesar Salad, Rosé wine, Park Burger (bacon, avocado), Rhône wine, Crème Brûlée Hubs: French Onion Soup, Mary’s Chicken, espresso martini BREAKFAST Me: French Toast, Park Omelet Hubs: French Toast, Eggs over easy

2/14/24 We came here for the Valentine's Day dinner menu and we're sadly disappointed in the luke warm Sea Bass and lack of any Plant Based options after being assured several times beforehand that the chef would be accommodating as they have in the past. Service was friendly but, slow. The kitchen and staff must have been as overwhelmed as we were underwhelmed! 12/17/21 Our first time eating in the Bistro in almost 2 years. We were initially seated outside but, they only had one heater for the whole patio at the opposite end? It was a cold evening, hope that they plan to get more heaters for the patio? Good thing we moved inside since the food took a little over an hour to get the soup. The food was delicious and they were able to modify a few of the dishes for a Vegan diet! A manager (I assume) came by our table and apologized for the delay. Apparently the Kitchen was overwhelmed? There seemed to be quite a few holiday party groups there Friday night.

It's truly disappointing that a restaurant with such fantastic food and a stunning atmosphere is let down by its poor service. The waitstaff is slow to respond, and they leave dirty plates sitting on the table between courses, which really detracts from the overall experience. This place has the potential to be the BEST restaurant in Lafayette, BUT the staff clearly lacks proper training. They urgently need to invest in better training or consider replacing the entire team, starting with the host at the front who sets the tone for the whole dining experience.

Best burgers in Lafayette. Period. Service is a big hit or miss. Unfortunately, tonight was a miss. Our waiter, alexis, was MIA most of the night and didn't rise to the level of the or food. We'll be back for sure because the food is so delicious, and you just need to know who your server will be.

Been here twice. Both times my servers were friendly enough but gave poor service. Inattentive, leaving drink glasses empty (to the point you have to get up to flag them down), leaving finished plates sitting far too long on the table. Bartender switched TV channels without even basic bar etiquette (or situational awareness) to look or ask if anyone was watching what was on (I was). This guy fancies himself quite the tip-top bartender, but he has not even mastered basic service skills. While not exactly "fine dining," it is an upscale spot. Lunch for one $37. I would expect your servers to get training in food service basics. You don't leave drinks empty. You don't leave dirty dishes sitting for your guests to stare at, and you don't throw drinks down "wherever" on the table. Drinks go on right (not on left, not across the table), and water goes outside (other drinks to its left). All three gaffs made today. Your food is great, but that's not enough to keep guests returning. Service is equally important. Your hostess sat me at one of the worst seats in the house- a bar hightop, tons of loud foot traffic constantly going by (as people audibly were grousing about how sick they've been), was very cold sitting by the windows (when there was plenty of tables near your cozy fireplace). Just because it's a "table of one" doesn't mean seat them at worst spot. You can follow that policy, but then you get reviews like this. Oh, and the worst table I was led to...it had been set with silverware, but it hadn't even been wiped down after last guests... the sticky telltale drink rings were obviously visible. Come on, man. Do better. Was not even offered the option of seeing a dessert menu. Managers, your servers are losing sales for you, FYI. And as I left, your dippy, hostesses didn't even have the courtesy to say "thank you" or "see you next time." Another good reason not to bother coming back.

I wanted to return the favor to my friend who recently treated me in a very good restaurant in San Francisco. We ordered the sea bass, which was a great disappointment, for this $32 dish, the sauce was good, but the fish was very dry , almost crunchy. We wanted a special chocolate dessert, and ordered the chocolate tart, lovely presentation, but we both left the soggy outside, the inside was OK but not good. I was embarrassed not being able to treat my friend to a good meal. The waiter Gavin was very nice, we reported everything to him .

Terrible food . There was no one there and we still had to wait a very long time. The food quality was very low. Butternut squash soup was very watery and too sweet. Wilted greens for our salad. No one was there but quality was very low in the food and service

We were the only people in the restaurant and it still took about 20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us, and another even longer wait for the food to come out. Unacceptable. The tuna was terrible — poorly cut and bad flavor. The soup was overly seasoned and watered down, and the deviled eggs were served on wilted, lifeless greens. The place looks nice, but the service and food was very dissapointing. One star.
