This is a fun restaurant to visit. It's a dark Japanese style restaurant where the cooks cook everything in front of you in the center of the table. The restaurant has a full bar and a very good sushi bar as well. The tables are U-shaped around the cook so everyone gets to see what he's doing. The tables seat about 10. So, if you don't have a party of 10, expect to sit with other people. There are regular table seating options if you don't want to sit with other people or don't want a show while your food is being prepared. The cooks are hit or miss for how well they communicate and perform while cooking your food. The food is really good with extremely large portions. If you order a meal and a sushi roll, expect to take some home with you. Overall this is a cool place and awesome if you get a good cook!
Not any unique experience from any other Japanese steakhouse but they make a pretty good meal. They have both the hibachi (where they cook in front of you) and an area where you can sit and order with out the show. I personally like the regular seats when I go, but my kids enjoy the hibachi.
From the outside it looks a little run down, the inside however is a great atmosphere!!! Waitress was nice and attentive. They do not have all you can eat sushi, but their sushi is quite filling. I had a house roll and a tempura shrimp California and was nearly satisfied. Very good sushi and their other food is delicious as well. For dessert the fried cheesecake does not disappoint!
I'm telling you that the food is amazing. Even when you take leftovers home and reheat the next day it's still good!!! The staff is friendly and efficient. The chefs are entertaining. The prices are great before 4pm then it gets expensive but still worth it. Friday's and Saturday's are busy and you will wait for a table, but again, so worth it.
First time customers, me and my family. Our server was very attentive and sweet..service was great. Our hibachi chef was friendly and the food was excellent. There was so much food. All in all a great experience and we will be going back. Thank yall! :)
Kevin is an amazing server! Food is always great whether you're in the mood for sushi or wanting to sit at the grill to enjoy dinner and a show. One of my favorite Abilene restaurants!
Pleasant surprise all around! Atmosphere amazingly quiet at lunch rush. No wait for table. Wait staff friendly, efficient. We sat for 40+ minutes after eating just relaxing. No one rushed us out/no hovering. THAT was a nice surprise. Food delicious. Good sized portion not pricey. Thank you Bonsai!
The food was fantastic, the sake was served hot, the service was awesome, the atmosphere was nice and fun but also classy. Loved my server, Loren, she was so sweet and checked in just the right number of times and never when my mouth was full so I could actually answer her. Definitely going back while I'm still in town!
Great food, the grillwork was awesome. The chef we had was very sweet when it came to our 2yr old. With the big whoosh of fire he had us move him back from the table before he did it and we kind of blocked him. He LOVED it & from then on he had no issues with the fire things the guy did. It was my daughters 16th birthday, so we let them know when came in & they brought her a yummy piece of cheesecake & let hit the gong. I'm usually a big one on taking pictures and so didn't get barely any.
I like visiting new places when I travel for work and I will say this is one of the best places I've gotten sushi from hands down!! <3 I'm not the type to write reviews. Only read them, but this place is so amazing I want others to know. plus, they deserve all the business possible:)
I ate there one Christmas in 2022 and I loved it.so did my friend's Liz, myself, and another an it was fantastic. I loved the chicken steak and shrimp rice.and the soup was delicious. Fanomanol.
No complaints about anything from our visit! We will definitely be repeat customers!
We had an amazing dinner experience with Chef Joe on the grill!! He was extremely entertaining. We were laughing along with all his jokes! Dinner was great as well, the rice was perfect. Next time we come back we will be requesting Joe!!
We’ve been here a few times and it’s always such a pleasant experience. Today, though we have a hibachi chef go above and beyond. I believe his name is Josh and my kiddos absolutely found him to be an absolute delight. He had so much fun energy and listened to the kiddos tell their tales. He was so kind. The food was delicious and the entire staff just goes above and beyond.
The owner is very kind here and even though I have never eaten here it seems to always be a happening place to eat at and is very clean and the atmosphere looks more high end than any other place like this I have been in Abilene. They have a little bar and 3 of the young men that work in the kitchen are great and extremely polite. I have had friends that have eaten here recently and they loved the food. The young women at the front were very kind and polite as well.
Love Bonzai! GET THE CREAM CHEESE WONTONS! Underrated and so good. All of your party has to be there to be seated at one of the grills, but I prefer the tables anyways. Atmosphere got 3 stars because it gets pretty smoky in the building, it kind of gives my mom a headache. The scallops are very good. The soup and salads that you get with dinner are also awesome.
Great food and service. We did the hibachi grill. Unfortunately I received upsetting news while there. The gentleman preparing our food noticed our mood went from happy not us looking upset right away. I thought it was wonderful how quickly he saw our mood change and asked us if we were ok. He then did some things to try to cheer us up. He had us smiling and in a better mood in no time. I didn't catch his name but I appreciated him going above and beyond.
We went Friday evening. Our Chef Morgan was amazing . Him and Hailey our waitress were on point. Our food was delicious. Never had to ask for anything. Our drinks were always filled. Really enjoyed our dinner.
I've been going here for about 15 years. It went through a bad spell but going now, the food is delicious and the service is awesome. I, personally, love their shrimp cocktail with homemade cocktail sauce and their terriyaki chicken! My daughter loves the yakisoba noodles ! They have a wide variety of sushi and everything is reasonably priced!
The cook was awesome w the grill and friendly, and the server was quick with keeping up w the table. Food was pretty good but first time there steak was great.
Basically the only place in town that I get sushi regularly. I decided to try something different this time and they nailed it! Shrimp and lobster roll, tempura fried. I'm always super satisfied with my orders and the customer service is always relatable and nice. Best sushi place in town.
Wow!!!! One of the BEST hibachi places we have been too. We go a lot. Our waitress Mackenzie was amazing!!! Didn’t have to ask for a refill. Attended to us like we were royalty! So nice. So professional. So sweet. The hibachi chef zarek was more than incredible. He prepared the food perfectly and his show was top notch! Must come to Abilene and come here!!
Enjoyed hibachi with my family. This is the best priced hibachi I have seen anywhere. Generous portions. Delicious fried rice and scallops. The hibachi "chef" lacked experience, but the food tasted amazing. My 5 year-old niece gave it 2 thumbs up.
I was in town for an event and stopped in with some friends. The California rolls were good and the food in general was good. But the reason I am leaving this review is to say our chef was absolutely hilarious and it was definitely an experience we will never forget. We had a great time and I'd absolutely return if I am ever back in Abilene.
1st time visit. Seated immediately, waitress took our drink orders within about two minutes of seating. The chef was very entertaining and good at cooking. The portions were huge and delicious. Full bar 🍸. Great experience, was about as good as the Hibachi restaurants I've been to in DFW. Will definitely be back.
The BEST sushi I've had in a while. Also, our server was very friendly & she was very helpful, as well. We came a little late but it was still packed which was a good sign from the start. Good restaurants stay busy. I had sushi & my husband had hibachi. I would absolutely eat here, again!
There's like no music or nun in the back ground so it gets a little creepy quiet sometimes. Our meal was great, chef/waitress all awesome... A diff chef did show up right before we were done and oh my gosh he had some SERIOUS cologne on, only reason for the docked star.
Giving this place 4 stars because the service was outstanding to me. Our waitress Edna was just wonderful the whole time servicing us. Now the food, we ordered the tempura 🍤 shrimp and of course my husband ate that up. I ordered the steak and chicken and it came with mixed vegetables and rice. The chicken was good, my steak was ordered medium well but it was a little tough. Also, I don't know if it was cooked in soy sauce or something but it was a bit much. If they scaled back a bit on the sauce, then it would have been good. The vegetables were good but the rice was really good. My husband ordered the 🦞 lobster, shrimp, and scallops with mixed vegetables and rice. He said the seafood was rubbery, which means over cooked. He also said it was cooked with too much of some kind of sauce, which over powered the dish.
Food was excellent and service was superb. The temperature in the building was very warm. So many open grills in the middle of West Texas summer makes it difficult to keep a building cool. Aside from a steady sense of "it's hot in here", the meal was enjoyable.
Bonzai is a decent steakhouse. The chefs are entertaining and personable. The food is cooked well and the portion sizes are reasonable. Even though this is no Benihana's, it's definitely worth stopping by. I enjoyed the fillet and scallops with fried rice and vegetables. You do have the option of doubling down on the rice or veggies.
Food was good. We ate at the hibachi grill and the “entertainment” was not the best I’ve had; he wasn’t very engaging. I felt like the area around the grill could have been a little cleaner.
We came as a group of 10, we had a reservation and we were seated promptly. our group had an excellent time, I think the Hibachi chef could have done a better job at cooking, our shrimp were a bit over cooked and he didn't seem excellent at multitasking. so it was basically one type of thing on the grill at a time. Our waitress that was tending to our other needs did a fantastic job. I think our tab was about $48/per person. to give you a $$ reference.
Amazing! I really enjoyed the company of our chef and the food was excellent. The overall experience was great. The only reason I am not rating five stars is due to the steamed rice, which was made in the kitchen and not like our food that was cooked in front of us. It tasted really.. plastic-like. Literally everything else is excellent. Especially the interior and the atmosphere.
I have eaten here before and the experience was great, however, when I was in the same parking lot going to a different store. The kitchen staff stood at the back door openly mocking me. The management needs to keep better control of their staff.
Really good sushi the cook was really good but the server could have been better at keeping our drinks full
Our food was absolutely delicious we had four different types of sushi rolls for lunch, and the service was attentive. The only complaint I would have is that the table and soy sauce bowls were dirty. It still a fun place to eat, especially if you eat at the grill.
Came back after a few years and it has definitely improved. Food was good. Service was excellent! *********** I was happy and disappointed with this place. The sushi is the best and the salad and soup were amazing. However, the entrees were very disappointing. My husband got the emperor's deluxe. The lobster and shrimp were overcooked and the scallops were undercooked. His "filet mignon" tasted freezer burnt and cheap. I got the shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was also VERY overcooked and the scallops were undercooked. I'll return for the sushi but that's it.
We love the food here only reason I gave four stars was because portions have been getting smaller and prices have been going up. We use to be able to order this and have leftovers the next day but now we pay $40 and barely have enough for supper. It's mainly rice and just a little bit of meat and vegetables but it taste so delicious.
I have been to other Japanese Steakhouses and I am comparing my review to them. The service was very good. Our cook was very entertaining and it appeared he enjoyed his job. The atmosphere was as expected, clean, good mixed drinks. The food quality was less then expected but priced well. The gyoza was really good. I would definitely eat there again.
Closes at 9pm and we left at 9:16pm. The problem was at 9:03 they turned the lights off so we finished are meals and paid pretty much ch in the dark. Great experience lol
Went for a birthday dinner. They accommodated our large party the best they could but had we been able to make a reservation (as we tried a week in advance) our group could have sat in the same room at least. The food was really good and our chef was engaging and funny. Will likely return.
So conflicted reviewing this restaurant. If you are just wanted some good food with a little more quality than a buffet then eat here. The lunch specials are the main way to get me in the door. Never enjoyed paying more for my food after 4PM. If you want to entertain a group larger than 4 sit at the grill, especially if you are bringing the kiddos. Otherwise, just have a seat at table, because you won’t have to wait so long for service.
The food was good. When my steak came it was only about 3 Oz of meat precut. I asked the waitress how much was suppose to come with it and she said it looked really skimpy so she made it better. The first serving was tough and chewy. Did not seem or look like a new York strip at medium rare. The second one she brought was much bigger and better. The service was great. I'd say they should retrain the cook. Everything else was good. I will give I another shot later. Maybe they were having an off day. For the price I paid I should be saying that everything was.... GREAT!... But I'll just stick with "good" and on the lower end of "good" at that.
It has an interesting vibe. Open and loud. Tables are packed closely. Got a dirty sake cup, and dirty sake which the server replaced and no charge. The food is typical. The edemame was undercooked. And the shrimp overcooked. The floor under the table next to us was not cleaned before the next guests were seated. And I nearly slipped. I'll stick with other options in town
Good was good but very smothered in butter, the guy cooking nearly burned my face because he sprayed the oil to far across the cooking top. But once all was cooked, the waitress came over and was really trying to rush us out the door even tho we weren't done eating. Really expected more from them
went in with family for the first time to give it a try and was excited to try everything. the sushi was really good and our cook was super friendly! i ordered the shrimp and chicken with fried rice and vegetables. the only thing i noticed is that our cook would add lots of sauce… (probably soy sauce) to everything. so much to where everything tasted exactly the same, like soy sauce. i couldn’t really enjoy my meal because of this. i do believe in second chances so i hope to go in another time and give this five stars!
I'd give the staff 5 stars, and the food 1 star (no flavor, no nothing). So that's why the 3 stars. The waitress was kind and efficient. The cook was funny and friendly. ...but the fried rice literally had salt, pepper, eggs, and a little bit of soy sauce. No actual sauce or anything to flavor the rice. The chicken and veggies were also very bland. It was my birthday, so I got free cheesecake and I got to smash the gong. That was pretty cool. But when I come back to town, I'm gonna pass on Bonzai.
I mainly went for the experience. The service girl did a great job! Very attentive and friendly. Our Hibachi chef I feel like he was trying hard to get us to laugh and participate in the show, but I could barely hear him over the sound of the hood exhaust. Also he talked very low and I had to ask him to repeat what he was saying. The food was not good, everything way overcooked and over seasoned. It actually made me very queasy and bloated until I made it home to take some dietary meds. The steak quality was very poor for the price. I won’t patron again, but I made sure the server and chef got a good tip from me despite my experience.
Over the last few years the quality of the food has dropped. Steak was very tough and shrimp was not prepped properly, very off tasting.Soup came out almost lukewarm. 2 stars for excellent rice and chicken.
I can say the server and chef was gave us good services. But when it comes to food, it's not worth the price. We had a dining in hibachi and sorry to say but it was a mess. I lost my appetite for their food safety & sanitation. Thank you but honestly that was our first and last visit.
Really great hibachi experience. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Fun experience with the family, good pricing (including a kids menu) and easy to get to location. Update: Went back for sushi... Huge mistake! I ordered the onion soup and two sushi rolls. Waitress brought out miso soup. When I asked about it, she totally tried to BS me, saying that that was their onion soup. Sadly, that was the best part of the experience. The sushi was horrible. It probably would have been great but it was completely drowning in sauce. A little sauce to garnish is awesome, but every slice was dripping. Couldn't taste much else. Didn't even try to finish it. Waste of time, energy, and money. The sushi at HEB is much better.
The food was alright. The sushi sampler was a bit lacking and the hibachi was good. The veggies were a bit under done. The cook was great as far as the show goes. Our server was alright I guess. The bill was incorrect. We told the server and she said she would fix it. Came back for us to sign the check and they were still wrong. It was only off by about $5 in items we didn't order or get, so we just paid it and left. Probably won't be coming back.
Took my wife for her birthday along with my daughter. The show was lacking and nothing close to Benihana's or other similar restaurants I have visited. Cooks were not professional, overcooked the food, but tried hard. Food was a C minus...at best. Ambiance was not as hoped for. My wife was disappointed on her birthday and won't return again. Way overpriced for what you get.
Service was good. Cook put on a good show and was entertaining and funny. However he cooked the shrimp entirely to long...they were like rubber and uneatable.
Portion sizes were drastically changed they used to give us tons of soup and meat but they changed it.
We left so disappointed and upset that we spent $80 on food that was just awful. The chicken was so dry it was hard to chew and swallow. The sushi was fishy and falling apart. The shrimp was over cooked. The rice seemed to be seasoned with to much soy sauce because it was extremely salty. Some of the vegetables were over cooked and others were undercooked. The entire meal was inadequate, especially for the price. Maybe it was the person who cooked in the kitchen not knowing how to prepare the food because we sat at a table, however we will never return. One piece of veggie tasted rotted and my boyfriend had to spit it out. Absolutely disgusting.
Our service was good as our waitress was kind. Our food was terrible. We had sushi and did not eat hibachi. We had vegetable tempura that was the worst I’ve ever had. It was exceptionally greasy. The taste was bad like old oil. My guess is that the temperature on the oil was not hot enough so they had to keep it in longer than it should (instead of flash frying) causing the vegetables to soak up all of the old grease. The grease itself was brown in color. They were nice enough to take it off of our bill when we asked them to take it away. Then our sushi came and we had two rolls that were rolled in tempura and supposed to be flash fried also. They must have used the same oil and technique because it was disgusting. I only ate half of my roll and couldn’t get through any more. My rice was dripping in grease. My plate had a pool of grease on it. The rolls that we ordered that were not like this were just ok. The fish is not great quality. They also forgot one of the rolls but removed it from the bill when we brought it to their attention. It is safe to say that I would never recommend eating here. The people were nice but the food was at the top of my list of worst food experiences. I included a picture of the brown grease that was dripping from my rice/roll. This is after I soaked up a lot of it with a napkin.
I‘m reviewing for my daughter who visited yesterday evening 2/27/24 with our 2 grandsons (ages 4 & 1) Positives first….her waitress was amazing. Now let’s get in to it. The hostess was rude, rude RUDE!!! Not just once, but on multiple occasions. Her attitude wasn’t what you’d want when you first walk in to an establishment. She said she should’ve walked right back out then, but the 4 yo was dead set on eating there & sitting at a grill (which wasn’t a choice due to short staffing). To top it off, the changing table in the restroom was/is broken, they have 7-8 high chairs & not one had a working buckle, making the entire dining experience a nightmare. What was supposed to be a nice outing for them, turned into a battle of trying to keep a busy & hungry toddler contained, an inept & rude employee, inoperable equipment & mediocre food. They ended up packing up the food shortly after they got it & made the 1 hour drive back home to eat it after realizing that staying & eating there was proving to be close to impossible. Wouldn’t recommend until some major changes are made.
The food was good but the portions got smaller than the last time I ate there literally felt like a kids meal I was still hungry afterwards and had to get more food somewhere else
I have had their food on takeout and it was good. But for Mother's Day it was just awful! The veggies were hard and undercooked. The meats were all overcooked! The teriyaki had a weird taste I thought maybe it come from the chicken. We never got out appetizer and instead of bringing it she said I'll just take it off the ticket. Like what? Okay then. Needless to say we have diarrhea and the stomach cramps 😭 Oh and I get that it's busy but y'all gotta do something about that floor. It was slick as black ice. I don't think I'll be back again unfortunately.
very bad experience. That waiter seated us under the fan in a little kind of corner it was very cold, the food got cold fast and that dish i ordered was a total disappointment... I asked from the Noddles list . Noodles seafood and they brought me instant Ramen ...Really? very salty and a lot of the taste of soy sauce and very little of seafood in it for the price i paid was not worth it
I came in on 10/31/2025 around 5pm. There were only 2 tables occupied and then myself, not busy at all. Staff was dressed for Halloween and we're very in the festive spirit, except for my server. She was MIA for the first 15 minutes of my visit, she was not happy to be there, inattentive and lackluster is the experience I had. The food was wildly overcooked, I ordered the emperor lobster feast and shouldn't have. The fried dumplings were good.
The food was good. Our waitress was not very good. We had to ask for refills on tea and ice. She ask if we wanted the salads that came with our meal. We said yes. She never brought them. So we had to ask for them we were almost through eating when we finally got them. They weren't very busy when we were there. We had very poor service.
People were nice. But the sushi was awful. So much Mayo all over everything even when asked not too, rolls messed up, fish poor quality. Not worth the visit
Went and my whole family got sick. My daughter got sick right after leaving and is still sick and i believe it’s how the food was handled and cooked. Be careful eating there . Waitress was rude and not attentive
This was by far the worse place we have ate at. We're waited over an hour for seating. When they said it was 20 to 30 minute wait. Then we were sat down and ordered. The chef finally came out and the coo king top was turneded off so we had to wait for it to heat up to get food cooked. The waitress was terrible. To top all this off we were charged gratuity for a party of 5 asked to speak with management and it was like talking to a wall. Will never eat there again. Bad part about it was it was for our daughters birthday so didn't want to upset her. Place really sucks. Service really sucks.
Today (07-24-22) I was a birthday party with my family. I have never seen so much disrespect to other customers in a very long time from the waitress. The meal orders where not served/cooked as in it's normal fashion. The waitress did not pay attention to other customers needs or wants, and whenever the bill came, she basically popped an attitude. This is the main reason why I dislike this restaurant in the first place. I will never go back. I highly recommend going to Tokyo fusion over this restaurant any day.
Don't bother. Went for an early dinner. Not very crowded at the time. Stood at the door waiting to be seated for about 4 minutes. Two workers came from the back area saw us standing there and we were ignored. When the door to the food prep area was opened as someone was going in, saw a young man vaping while it appeared he was working with food. We leftand went to the other hibachi place in Abilene. I will NEVER return to this establishment.
I normally don't post reviews, but wow! To say this was a horrible experience would be downplaying my visit. Service was not good at all, food wasn't much better--my party is very happy we didn't get sick from the undercooked shrimp. Now on to our hibachi cook. We had our rice 20 minutes before any meat, so it was cold. The cook was inappropriate/akward with his jokes to the point the table didn't know what to say .This place was a nightmare...
DO NOT eat sushi here if you’ve ever had good sushi before . If your from a small town and never had sushi you may not know I figured that’s the only reason this place is still open. They sushi rolls was 90% rice. By the time you get to the meat your full from eating all the rice rolled up. I left that place and got raisin canes for diner.
Absolutely terrible service, sat for ten minutes no one even came to get a drink order, definitely recommend going right across the street to the other hibachi restaurant
sushi was good, but the food took forever to come out and when it did the "filet" looked like a week old sirloin and the chef was cracked out of his mind we asked them about the meat and they told us we were wrong and pretty much had to deal with it. We went ahead paid for our food and left without eating anything but the sushi
Food was horrible. Too many other good restaurants in Abilene to waste your money here.
Absolutely the worst hibachi experience I have ever had. The chef was too busy trying to make everyone laugh with his inappropriate jokes to cook the food. The food was way too seasoned and way overcooked. At one point he started joking about being high and how much he wanted to go smoke a bong. Completely inappropriate for many reasons but just ruined our date night.
Would not recommend. The hibachi area looked like someone had a food fight about a week ago. The staff does not appear to value food safety or even a clean appearance. There is potential, and a few fixes like sanitation and better cleanliness could make this place worth going to, but my family and I will not be back for a while.
I don't leave reviews very often but this is a must. If I could give a zero, I would. The food was disgustingly detesable! Ordered the filet minon and chicken and it was dry and tasted like dog food. The veggies were not cooked enough, they were tough and everything had the same flavor. It all tasted like the place smelled which was not good... now, to mention the waitress, in ordering the dinner meal it comes with shrimp which I am allergic to, and asked if it could be substituted for something else but was told they could only take it off the plate and it would be the same price. OK. My husband and I ordered the same thing and neither of us ate it. I took a bite of each item and spit it out. Couldn't handle it. Im not one to start Karen business so we just took the trash food in to go boxes to give to our dogs who aren't picky at all and thats all the so called food was worth. We got the ticket of $61 and gave the waitress $80 and told the waitress to just bring us a 10 dollar bill back, but she brought us $7 and some change. 🤦♀️ The whole experience was awful! Never coming back and suggest no one else goes either. Don't waste your money!
Wish I could give this restaurant zero stars me and my nephew went to sit at the grill and this cook was cursing at this Family sitting next to us. They wanted their meat well done and he was in a rush to cook and Burt their food another came out and they looked just alike they were twins. He proceeded to tell them he wasn’t going to cook it any longer for them either the waiter was very nice. She was trying to calm them down. He was throwing tongue, spatulas, ect… He was cursing The father out and was even trying to fight with him then he went in the back and was being veryloud in the back, the owner came out and acted like he was afraid of them guys and said I’m just sorry they can’t cook to your perfection. I looked like anyone would have known that he burnt their food. They said they wanted it well done not burnt. It was just an absolute mess the owner of the Restaurant did not even try to de-escalate the situation. He let them twin guys that worked there sabotage that family in front of everyone. You sit at the grill to make sure they cook it how you want not how they want bad service all the way around owner is crap and so is his employee twins that cook.
Tuna roll came out with dingy gray color and fishy smell. Romance roll came out full of mostly rice and not cut all the way. Became a sticky mess of undercooked rice and wet soy paper. There was a 10 minute wait for Salmon Roe? They should come in a jar. Not sure what we were waiting for there. When they finally arrive, their color is gray and the eggs are warm to the touch. There is a foul smell and the taste is fishy. This was the most awful experience at a place I have come to for over 10 years for at least fresh food and good service. Today the service was great other than the waitress obviously seeing all the disgusting foods I refused to eat and not questioning the reason. She just charged me like it was business as usual. No followup and didn’t care about the food quality.
Ordered Bonzai to go last night night for dinner and it was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the hibachi steak and it tasted like organ meat of some kind, it tasted like low quality scraps of beef that they had left over and cooked up with lots of nasty gristle. Definitely ruined our night. Also the shrimp appetizer was so fishy and gross that it ruined both our entrees and added insult to injury with the hibachi steak dinner. The vegetables were still hard and uncooked. Chicken was dry. I called and spoke with the manager to get a refund and was met with lots of attitude and unprofessional demeanor she said that she didn't like how I "bashed" her company online, she wasn't gonna approve of the refund and "I can just decide not to eat there anymore" because I posted an online review. Just to let yall know how management handles problems.
Honestly, it kills me to right this review... they were so friendly.. but... the food was awful... we traveled a little over an hour to try this place. When we were seated, our daughter sat in her chair and immediately her hair got stuck in something sticky and gloppy all over the back of her chair. It was all over her new jacket and her hair. They took care of the chair... then after at least a 30 minute wait our salads and soup arrived, and a trio joined us at the grill. They ordered we waited about another 39 minutes for the chef(which apparently they only had two.. we understand... our entire orders were mixed up... then shaggy the chef was very comical jokes wise... but the show was so lacking... no tricks for the kids at the table... then the chef mixed up the orders again put our daughters steak on our son’s place... instead of steak they gave me teriyaki beef! I know the difference and what I asked for! Then as he was dishing out the vegetables there was one serving short so our son didn’t have but 4 vegetables on his plate... then after the waiter Vincent gave the trio who came 30 minutes after us their tickets... we waited another ten minutes needless to say my birthday dinner was not enjoyable... I didn’t even have it in me to ask for a cheese cake.... I was done at this point... hopefully we find somewhere better to go for my birthday dinner next year! 🤦♀️😪
