Opiniones de Grabstein's Bagels New York
First time customer!! Cashier helped me with options of drinks. I decided on a hot chocolate for my 9yr old and corn muffin. For myself I decided to go with a becon egg and cheese on a bagel. Everything was flavorful and warm. I will definitely be going back. 8)
Every amazing experience I've had in New York begins the same way: I'm wandering down a street, and inevitably stumble on a world-class eatery. That is *exactly* what happened when I recently visited Grabstein's. It was the top-tier street forward design that first caught my eye; it was the incredible menu that drew me in, and the waft of phenomenal bagels that made the sale. Not only are these bagels top-notch, but the service was as extraordinary as it was speedy. If there's a line, WAIT. It'll be worth it.
Delicious bagels in many varieties. Very tasty cream cheese. Bagel breakfast sandwiches. They also have muffins. Unfortunately no seating inside, but there is limited seating outside.
Chill and casual bagel spot. The bagels are pretty darn good. The breakfast bagels are spot on. And when toasted - honestly amazing. The sausage egg and cheese is my personal fav. I love how they have vegan options. It's quite pricy but it is good. They give a decent portion and filling. The wait took a little bit longer than a smear, so just take note. There isn't any real seating in the restaurant since it's quite small too.
My heritage is not for your profit. I’m from NJ and having to pay $15.80 for a Taylor ham egg and cheese on a bagel is the most insane thing I’ve ever done. Bagel was too sweet and cakey/doughy for my liking. Probably won’t be coming back unless desperate. Only giving 3 stars for the nice people who work there. This place has potential, but is a miss for me.
I’ve given this place so many chances, but every time I get a bacon, egg and cheese the bacon is way undercooked and gross. They’re overpriced and I’m pretty sure they’ve only managed to stay open for this long because they’re 1 of 2 bagel places in a 6-block radius
Ordered two BEC and cold brew on uber eats. For BEC there is no option to add schmear on the platform/menu. I wrote in the notes and gave extra tip cause I do know it does cost extra fee. However, they crossed off my note on the receipt and said schmear is extra. Poor service when it’s your own platforms fault and I ordered over $30 breakfast and you can’t just put schmear on just 1 of the BECs I requested
Stale stale very stale bagel! Horrible! lol so bad and so old and so dry and so tasteless it made me laugh! Please avoid this place! You’re better off with a Starbucks bagel— that says a lot!
I’ve never had a worst bagel in my life. The bagel itself was crumbly and flaccid. The eggs were flavorless. The sausage flat, the hash brown structure-less. If I wanted to feel something, I’d take a bite out of the garbage on the street corner before coming back here Not to mention, we received a free bonus prize pictured below!
Extremely disappointing!! Jersey classic is extremely disappointing. Everything bagel had barely anything on it. Odd sweet smell to it, almost chemical smell. The egg is scrambled, but tastes like the type of egg you'd get from a Dunkin donuts sandwich. The egg bagel was soft but weird flavor. If you're going to do a Jersey classic get it right. It's fried egg, either medium or hard.
Unfortunately I had a terrible experience here. I came in to pick up two bagels with a friend who ordered a bacon scallion. after I ordered my plain cream cheese because I’m vegetarian. I noticed the staff using the same cutlery to cut the bagels. I only made note after order after assuming cross contamination practice was to be expected. I requested to the cashier that a different knife be used & she says “you should’ve told me that before. It’s already been made.” The lack of consideration & inability to deal with customers left a terrible impression, especially for overpriced bagels.
Rude and unfriendly staff behind the register. Specifically speaking about the Spanish lady with a short pony tail and glasses, seems like she hates her job. I walked in and was the only customer waiting to make a purchase. She didn't even acknowledge me and asked if I needed anything. Secondly, I walked up to her and asked her if she had a certain bagel, she didn't say not one word to me but only pointed at the direction to where the bagels were, basically telling me to look myself without actually saying it. Horrible service and will not be going back.
I wish I could give negative stars for this experience. The staff who handed me my bagels rudely suggested I should tip more and even told me what the “minimum tip” in the area is. This is a self-service bagel place, and tips are meant for genuine service, not just taking payment. The owner should really look into this, because rude behavior and zero service do not belong in the restaurant business, where service is everything.
Previous reviews have said it – – here’s another one to confirm. Is a decent bagel worth terribly rude service? No, never. And especially not when all you’ve done is walk in the door, ask a simple question, and order. A guy who was working there once is nice. But the short woman is just miserable— Not just rude, but really just contentious and venomous. No one should be barked at just for going into a store. No one should be barked at as a human being—period. I’m not sure how they’re staying in business like this.
I just went here i ordered a bacon and egg and not only once but twice i was given a bacon egg and cheese. I am lactose intolerant and made that clear. When the first one came out i regretfully asked for it to be remade and they then brought out another bacon egg and cheese. I left with the bacon egg and cheese because i couldn’t deal with the staff. The guy at the front was very nice it wasn’t his fault it was the short lady in the back. The food is also cross contaminated as they use the same knife to cut every bagel even with an allergy noted. Worst bagel experience ever, don’t waste your time.
