Opiniones de Abu Salim Middle Eastern Grill San Francisco
They were quick with the smiles, greetings and beverage fill ups. The food was delicious. The best creamy hummus I've ever had. I didn't even km l need the juicy chicken schwarma on top. The loaded fries were so good as well. The star dish for me was the lamb shank with rice. It comes with a light sauce that you pour it over the whole thing. Meat was a bit gamey (which I don't mind), but it was fall off the bone. Absolutely delicious. We also ordered the baba ganoush and the beef lamb schwarma plate, but we liked the other dishes more. Would definitely come back for more hummus, fries and lamb.
Easy to find, this place offers a true taste of the Middle East with its most traditional dishes. The portions are generous and packed with amazing flavors. Service is friendly and efficient, and the menu is simple yet detailed. A must-try if you’re in the mood for authentic Mediterranean food. The only downside is that the tables are old and sticky — they could use a good scrub-down and a fresh coat to match the quality of the food.
Always quality! Love this place. The staff are always so incredibly friendly and treat me like family. I usually get the shwarma wrap or the plate. Big portions. So gas. I love their homemade hot sauce. Perfect for takeout and also dine-in. Love going to Abu Salim for a lunch or a quick dinner.
This is my new favorite place to get lunch! Everything there is good, If you’re ordering for pickup, do it through their website for a discount :) also! The lady who works there even gave me two hot sauces today when I asked! thats twice the yum! Cant wait to try everything on the menu.
The best Shish Tavuk in SF I love the stuffed falafel that pair so well with the homemade sides (tahini with parsley and garlic and sauce with onions)
Jerusalem Salad and Baklava were amazing! The restaurant is full of charm and makes one feel comfortable. The staff were wonderful to us! So good!!!!!!!!
Stopped by for dinner last night and we're blown away at how delicious everything was. The service was friendly and kind. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. We ordered promptly and food came out quickly but gave us enough time to enjoy the items we ordered. Portions were huge and priced fairly. This is the place if you are looking for a delicious meal with friendly people!
On a busy afternoon I came here but were seated immediately fortunately. The staff and servers were really nice and friendly and responsive. This restaurant has large portion sizes and everything tastes great and comes out really fast too. Only change is that I wish we'd get more complimentary pita bread. Overall great experience and would come back.
Food is quite good. A lil pricey and it seems like the menu price vs the price they charge you is different. Regardless, the staff was super poilite.
Wonderful Palestinian restaurant in the heart of Haight & Ashbury in SF CA. The flavors were on point. We had lamb shwarma on hummus, chicken shawarma wrap, chicken shawarma on salad and Baba Ghanoch and they were all delicious. The service was great as well.
Not bad. Wouldnt come back but its pretty decent. Got the combo plate with extra pita. The chicken kebab was tasty, bouncy and juicy, the steak was very chewy so I couldnt finish it and the ground beefkebab was too dry for my liking. I did like the hummus rice and pita. I saw that the stuffed falafels was famous on IG. Maybe try that next time it I come.
Nestled in the vibrant Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, this Middle Eastern restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey that tantalizes the taste buds. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with the quality of food, service and authenticity of the dishes. Hella good!!! Appetizers and Main Courses: Lamb with Hummus: The lamb was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the creamy and rich hummus. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. Lamb Kabob: Succulent and well-seasoned, the lamb kabob was grilled to perfection, offering a smoky and savory experience that was simply irresistible. Baba Ghanoush: This dish stood out with its exquisite smoky flavor and smooth texture. It was a perfect accompaniment to the other dishes. Chicken Shawarma Plate: The chicken was tender and juicy, wrapped in warm bread with fresh vegetables. The spices were well-balanced, making each bite a delight. Falafel with Stuffed Cheese: The falafel was crispy on the outside and filled with melted cheese on the inside, creating a delightful contrast that was both satisfying and unique. Desserts: Pistachio Shake: Refreshing and indulgent, the pistachio shake had a creamy consistency with nutty undertones that were perfectly balanced. Kunafa: This dessert was the highlight of the meal. The sweet cheese filling encased in delicate, buttery pastry topped with crushed pistachios was an impeccable end to an already stellar meal. Overall, each dish showcased traditional Middle Eastern flavors brought to life through skillful preparation and high-quality ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant, combined with the friendly and attentive service, made for a memorable dining experience. This grill is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone seeking to indulge in Middle Eastern cuisine in SF.

Wonderful experience. Everyone was very nice. I had chicken shawarma and baba ghanoush, both of which were very good. But, the best by far, or the fresh, made in-house pita. Couldn’t get enough of them.
Abu Salim's Middle Eastern Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. The food, service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere is top notch. I usually get the Beef and Lamb Shawarma wrap, but the Lamb Chops are some of the best I've ever had. The hummus, labneh, toasty pita, and fresh lentil soup are perfect for these rainy days. Highly recommend!
My experience at Abu Salim was great from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Food was amazing, a 10/10, I will definitely be back. The staff were so welcoming and everything was clean. I got the hummus and falafel, as well as Abu Salim’s famous mansaf. I would definitely recommend it and will be returning soon!!
Every time I come here, the energy of the place is high. The staff treat you like family, truly kind people who work here. The food is perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I almost always get one of the kebab plates and it never disappoints. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. I first came here about six weeks ago and I’ve already been back at least five times, and I definitely plan on coming back again. If you want great, authentic food and want to support a local Palestinian business, I highly recommend this place.
I am giving this place five stars for offering actual table service. for the delicious, fresh, wholesome food and because, in a rare event, they don't seem to salt the hell out of their food. (This is one of my biggest restaurant gripes) I ordered a chicken kebab plate and my friend ordered a beef kefta kebab. We both opted for rice and salad as sides. The portions are abundant and we finished only half what we were served. The chicken in my dish was moist and delicious. I tried a bite of my friend's kefta and it was bursting with yummy flavor. The salad was cool and refreshing (cucumber tomato) and the rice pretty tasty, too. I will 100% come back here. I had a lovely experience. Oh, and try the baklava!
The food here is consistently delicious & made with love! One time I came in wanting to try the cheese stuffed falafel, but was a little scared to deviate from tried and true falafel so didn’t order any. The next time I came in, one of the servers remembered how much I wanted to try the cheese-stuffed falafel and gave me one on the house. Just the kindest people who cook such tasty food! I hope they’re a Haight St. institution for a long long time!

This place is awesome! We got the falafel, hummus, and arabic salad and it was the perfect meal for two. The people here are so nice and very clearly make their food with love. Eat here!!!!!

Abu Salim Middle Eastern Grill is an absolute culinary treasure. The food is phenomenally authentic, from the creamy, perfectly balanced hummus to the incredible Mixed Grill. The chicken shish tawook was juicy and smoky, and the lamb chops were tender with a masterful blend of spices. The meal reached new heights with their kunafa, which is the best I have had outside of the Middle East, featuring stretchy cheese and crispy pastry with just the right amount of fragrant syrup. The service is warm and attentive, with staff who genuinely care about your experience. The quality of every ingredient and the obvious passion in every dish makes Abu Salim a true standout. I cannot recommend this gem highly enough and will be back again and again.
Love the atmosphere and wall painting make you feel like you’re fully immersed in yourself in the culture and food! Love the Mint Tea and Turkish Coffee wasn’t good! We ordered combo plate with hummus and basket of pitas which was good. The falafel was okay not what we were looking for. But everyone there was very friendly and nice!

I recently had one of the most disappointing dining experiences of my life at this place. The falafel was dry and lacked flavor, easily the worst I’ve ever had. The hummus, which is usually a highlight in Middle Eastern cuisine, was bland and unpleasant — it tasted as if it had been sitting out for hours. It doesn’t have any taste feels tasteless. It felt like the entire focus of the meal was to promote their olive oil, which was overused and overwhelming in every dish. The chicken, which was supposed to be shawarma, came out as plain, tasteless chicken bites — completely missing the traditional spices and preparation you’d expect from authentic shawarma. It was not only flavorless but also drenched in oil, making it heavy and unappetizing. The fries were no better; greasy and soggy, they seemed like they had been sitting in oil far too long. The only redeeming part of the meal was the pita bread, which was fresh and warm, and the two accompanying dipping sauces that came with it. Unfortunately, that wasn’t nearly enough to make up for the overall poor quality of the food. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying Mediterranean meal.
